La coordinadora Vanessa Jiménez fue muy amable y atenta en todo el proceso. Su ayuda fue grande para poder realizar todo el evento. El encargado de la decoración, Raymond, fue muy amable y certero al elegir la decoración según discutido. Las facilidades y comida del hotel fueron muy buenas. Todo queda cien por ciento recomendado. -

Mi recomendación es para Raymond Pérez. Es intachable, dedicado y te complace en todo. Lo único que no estoy de acuerdo es que no hayan subido fotos de una boda tan espectacular y que Raymond trabajos con tanto detalle. . Los cuartos del hotel para preparación de novias deben ser arreglados y más cómodos.

Overall the venue was beautiful! We had the best wedding coordinator Daliza, she was amazing by she took care of everything for us. Which was great giving that our wedding was a destination wedding. The only caviat was that there are no Ubers near the area so make sure to get a rental car prior to making any plans especially if you’re having a destination wedding. Other than that everything else was amazing, the food was great, and everyone was hospitable. Thank you Daliza!! -

Dream come true
Vanessa and team did an excellent job in a short amount of time. They pulled every resource possible to make this day as calm and enjoyable as possible. She goes above and beyond to make sure the couple is happy with the turn out.
I recommend this venue. I got married in January, the weather was not as hot as April or October when I had previously visited. -

Daliza, estuvistes pendiente a cada detalle de la Boda. Fue la Boda que siempre soñé. Tu atención fue excelente en todo momento demostrando profesionalismo, amabilidad y disposición para atender cada detalle de la Boda. En fin, la decoracion espectacular, la comida riquísima y el orden fue sin igual. Por supuesto, recomiendo al 100% al Hotel Guajataca para cualquier evento. -

My husband and I picked this venue for our wedding. The first person to help me was Vanessa Jimenez and she was spectacular during the pre-wedding, wedding and even post wedding. She was always there to answer questions, show us around and we even changed things (salon, quantity of people, food, chairs) from booking to the actual event without any troubles. The hotel needs some work done in certain areas (not hot water, leaky hot tub, rain water coming through the room window) but I am solely basing my review on the wedding part. We were very happy with the outcome and our family loved the venue as well and how it all turned out. I definetly recommend Vanessa Jimenez for any activity 100%. -

La comida excelente y riquísima, el local hermoso y todos disfrutamos mucho. A cada pregunta o duda que tenia siempre estaba Jared dispuesto a ayudar y complacerme. Sin duda alguna muy agradecida. Lo volvería a escoger una y mil veces más. Mi decoradora fue Intima_events. -

From day 1 we were able to set up a good relationship with the hotel. They were very understanding of what we wanted. They have various option of set up for the ceremony and have 3 venues for the reception, we were able to choose the one that was right for us. Weather in this area usually is great so we had a perfect sunny day for our outdoor ceremony. The staff was always available and had everything we needed. Vanessa was simply amazing and took care of everything. -

Being from New York it was a little stressful having a destination wedding. We frequently the island yearly so we knew where we wanted to get married. We reached out to Hotel Guajataca in June. Of 22 with our needs for our wedding they immediately sent a contract for the venue with everything included. The price was perfect for our budget. We visited in Aug. to see the venue and the original area we wanted was smaller so they upgraded our contract for a bigger room with no issues. Marilyn our host was with us with every decision we made. We only had 5 months to plan but they're sure out dream wedding came true. Even with the last minute add on for my wife to be brought in with a horse and carriage she directed us to the right people for this to happen. Some of our guest stayed at the hotel for the night of the wedding and were happy with the stay and accommodations. If I would to do it again this would be our place for our dream wedding. -

Raymond and the hotel staff were really professionals , attentive and went above and beyond to make sure this once in a life time experience was unforgettable! Everything was perfect from the scheduled of the rehearsal and the wedding, to the coordinations of the food, cake, music, rooms and etc. Raymond was always available and flexible to attend our scheduled and needs. The decorations was on point and everything my daughter asked for. Couldn’t asked for anything better!!! Definitely 100 %recommended!!!

Amazing view and stunning scenery
First off, the views and scenery is absolutely breathtaking, the beach is wonder for photos but you can not swim in it.. the grounds are pretty and well kept. The new pool is really nice, we were there for its opening. The hotel it self has so much potential and i believe they are currently on the way of renovations. The rooms are nice and comfy. It’s kept clean and the service was nice.
If you plan on having a wedding here. Understand that the “event coordinators” do no hands on work nor physically help you the day of.
They take down what you want, what you pick out for food and that’s it.
Your decorations, offiant, cake, florals and anything else you want will be outside vendors.
They offer a dj, food, tables, chairs, bar with liquor or without. Everything eles you gotta contact on your own. I think I met our “event coordinator” once, as he passed me, while I was waiting to walk down the aisle and I Never saw him again.
I don’t really care. I paid for the scenic views, I did everything eles my self. -

The backdrop to where we had the ceremony was absolutely gorgeous. Our even planners decorated with just enough flowers to make it look extra special, but to be honest you really don't need anything to take away from the view. The staff was kind,courteous and professional. The food was delicious! We had the best wedding night! -

Our experience in Hotel Guajataca was one of the best, If we have to do it over again I would not change a thing. Madelyn and Raymond are one off the best team ever, they make your wedding dreams come true. They go out off there way to make sure everything goes perfect for that day. Overall very good experience. The hotel coordinator who helped us, Marylin, was always available and able to answer all of our questions. All the setup on the hotel side was done on time. Hotel was flexible with options. All of our guests loved the food. The view from the ceremony and ballroom were amazing. -

Excelente experiencia para realizar la boda el lugar es hermoso por su vista junto al mar. El servicio de la encargada de actividades Marilyn fue muy amable y con mucha paciencia. El servicio de José en el Front desk siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Los meseros y la Bartender durante la boda súper excelente cumplieron su rol en excelencia. Quedamos muy satisfechos con todo del hotel ya que hasta el restaurante la comida es exquisita. A parte los precios para realizar la actividad de tanta calidad son módicos. Amazing time all arpund
We selected this location for our wedding and from the moment we got there to the day of the wedding the staff were on point. Our wedding was truly amazing and the hotel met all of our needs. Marilyn who oversees the weddings did such an incredible job. Super flexible and catered to our needs in regards to the wedding. The food was delicious and we would do it all over again the same way. Great time and the hotel is set in such a beautiful location. The staff at the hotel made this trip truly one to remember. Hotel is small but cute. We had our wedding on July 6th 2019 here. It was a great experience! They were so accommodating with all of us including my guests! While I was goin thru a sickness in the family and a very stressful time Jose Torres was our angel during the storm!! He was there when I needed him and very attentive always! The food was great and the venue was ready for decor the night before the wedding so I was able to decorate early! I would highly recommend having ur wedding ceremony and reception here. Una vista hermosa !!!!
Nuestra experiencia con hotel guajataca desde un principio fue excelente. La comunicación con marylin fue muy buena y nos ayudó a coordinar muchísimas cosas de nuestra boda. El paisaje desde el hotel es espectacular , nuestros invitados amaron la vista , al igual que las fotos nos quedaron geniales ya que teníamos la opción de tomarlas tanto en la playa como en los jardines del hotel.

We had a wonderful wedding at Hotel El Guajataca. I (Bride) am originally from Puerto Rico but I live with my husband in the US. The staff at the hotel were able to help me coordinate the wedding from afar. Everybody agreed that the wedding was beautiful and incredibly fun.
Pros:
One of my favorite things was the decoration (Decorando con Raymond- through the Hotel). They took my ideas for color, decorations, and flowers and did an absolutely gorgeous job, way better than I envisioned.
The view of the ceremony and reception areas are amazing. I don’t think you can get a view like that in many places.
You can get a day coordinator- mine was Vanessa who was great and was able to help me keep the day flowing despite the little amount of time we had to prepare. She also helped me get vendors like the DJ (DJ Kabir Thiago) and a Batucada (Buena Vibra)— both were amazing.
Cons: I wished they had offered the day coordinator (or overall coordinator) services earlier so that I could plan things with more details earlier.
The hotel rooms are pretty humble and simple, they are clean, but there were some issues like the hand rail in the bathroom falling. They fixed it right away. This is just a heads up if you have family accostumed to fancier venues. This is more relaxed and earthy.
There is only one restaurant option at the hotel, but there are places to eat nearby.
I recommend it! -

Best Wedding ever
We loved our stay at the hotel! We held our wedding there on Saturday Sept 7th and everything was so beautiful thanks to Jared and the staff! They are very attentive & responsive which made it easy for us to plan our destination wedding. We stayed for the week with 20 of our friends & family everyone absolutely loved it here! The 2 pools are beautiful & you can’t beat the views, & the pool bar & restaraunt are a lot of fun. We will 10/10 be back again soon! -

Todo salió completamente fenomenal. 😊 Una bendición enorme el poder recrear una idea en mi mente. El día de la boda yo mandaba mensajes a Marilyn de cositas que me hacían falta como una silla extra y tijeras y tan linda me ayudo a resolver eso en minutos. Muy agradecida con todos los que ayudaron ese día tan especial. El hotel está bajo construcción al frente pero no afecta nada ni siquiera el estacionamiento que es amplio. Mi esposo y yo nos casamos frente al mar y unas columnas griegas muy lindas. Después de la ceremonia sólo tuvieron que caminar arriba nuestros invitados para disfrutar de los aperitivos y la hora de cóctel. La comida puertorriqueña que elegimos estuvo de lo mejor, todo sabroso 🤤 Hay muchas buenas opciones. El salón Casabi es lujoso con dorado, luz de colores, chandeliers, y claro una vista preciosa. Los baños están cerca del salón. Y cuando termino la celebración nos fuimos a la piscina un ratito 😇 Al final de la noche, el hotel nos había decorado el cuarto bien romántico con pétalos y una botella de champán 🥂 No pude creer cómo todo salió tan perfecto. Fue todo lo que yo me imaginé y mucho más! Nuestra meta es regresar para nuestro aniversario. 😍Hotel El Guajataca's reply:

Spectacular
I just had my wedding at this amazing location. The view of the ocean is exactly what I have ever dreamed of. Staff is amazing and very accommodating. The food could have been a bit better i didn't quite like it and this hotel has very little amenities literally no iron, microwave or mini fridge i suggest upgrading at least for the suites room. Otherwise if you are looking for a fabulous destination wedding this is the place to do it.Hotel El Guajataca's reply:

Celebramos nuestra boda en el Hotel El Guajataca y, al mirar hacia atrás, nuestro corazón está profundamente agradecido y feliz. Nuestra boda quedó hermosa y siempre guardaremos este día como uno de los momentos más especiales de nuestras vidas.
Sabemos que nuestra boda no era la única que estaban coordinando, que detrás de cada evento hay muchísimo trabajo y que no es una tarea fácil. También entendemos que no todo siempre puede ser perfecto. Durante la planificación hubo muchas cosas positivas y, cuando nos reuníamos con la coordinadora, siempre sentimos que podíamos expresar nuestras ideas, peticiones e inquietudes y que éramos escuchados. Sin embargo, consideramos que hay algunos aspectos del proceso de coordinación y comunicación que podrían estar mejor definidos y organizados.
Las reuniones se realizaban en el área de recepción del hotel y, aunque siempre pudimos conversar sobre lo que necesitábamos, en algunas ocasiones sentimos que el tiempo era un poco limitado o que había cierta prisa. Contar con reuniones un poco más estructuradas y con un espacio dedicado para repasar con calma los detalles podría hacer que la experiencia de planificación se sienta más organizada y personalizada.
Gran parte de la comunicación durante el año fue a través de WhatsApp y, en nuestra experiencia, el seguimiento dependía mayormente de que nosotros tomáramos la iniciativa de escribir, preguntar o dar seguimiento a los diferentes detalles. Creemos que sería beneficioso establecer desde el comienzo cómo será ese proceso de seguimiento y qué pueden esperar los novios de la coordinación durante los meses previos a la boda.
También sería importante explicar con mayor claridad desde el inicio qué incluye exactamente el servicio de coordinación que ofrece el hotel: si se trata de un acompañamiento activo durante todo el proceso de planificación o si su función está principalmente enfocada en los asuntos relacionados con el hotel y la ejecución del evento el día de la boda. Tener claras esas expectativas desde el principio ayudaría mucho a las parejas a saber qué pueden esperar y si necesitan algún apoyo adicional durante su planificación.
En cuanto a la parte administrativa, consideramos que podría haber mayor claridad en la documentación. Durante nuestra planificación hubo conceptos que fueron cotizados y pagados adicionalmente, pero que no quedaron claramente reflejados o detallados en el contrato. Solicitamos en varias ocasiones por correo electrónico una factura con el desglose completo de lo contratado y pagado; sin embargo, el documento final que recibimos únicamente reflejaba un balance de $0, sin incluir el desglose solicitado. Una factura final detallada de los servicios, cargos y pagos brindaría mayor claridad y tranquilidad a las parejas.
Dicho esto, el resultado de nuestra boda fue verdaderamente hermoso, y eso merece ser resaltado. Raymond, de Decora Con Estilo, y su equipo hicieron un trabajo espectacular. Lograron plasmar lo que habíamos imaginado y ver todo finalmente hecho realidad fue muy especial. Su compromiso, dedicación y el cariño que ponen en su trabajo se notaron en cada detalle. Siempre estaremos agradecidos por ello.
También recomendamos a Ángel DJ al 200%. Fue sumamente responsable, comprometido y dedicado con su trabajo. Mantuvo nuestra fiesta activa, alegre y con un ambiente increíble de principio a fin. Sin duda, fue una parte muy especial de nuestra celebración.
De igual manera, queremos reconocer al personal que nos atendió durante nuestra boda. La comida estuvo deliciosa, y el personal fue muy agradable, atento y servicial con nosotros y nuestros invitados. En un día tan importante para nuestras vidas, nos hicieron sentir atendidos, especiales y, sobre todo, sentir que ese día nosotros brillábamos. Eso es algo que agradeceremos y recordaremos toda la vida.
Al final, no todo tiene que haber sido perfecto para reconocer que fue perfectamente especial para nosotros. Nuestro corazón está feliz porque todo ocurrió como Dios quiso y, cuando pensamos en nuestra boda, por encima de cualquier detalle permanece la felicidad de haber vivido un día tan hermoso rodeados de las personas que amamos.
Siempre estaremos agradecidos con cada persona que puso de su parte para hacerlo posible y guardaremos con muchísimo cariño el recuerdo de haber celebrado el comienzo de nuestra vida como esposos en el Hotel El Guajataca. -

No pudimos haber escogido mejor lugar que el Hotel el Guajataca para hacer nuestra boda. Todo corrió muy bien y el servicio de coordinador, meseros y bartender fueron excelentes. Los únicos problemas que nos surgieron fue al tratar de comunicarnos con el hotel. La línea de teléfonos parece ser muy vieja y es difícil lograr hablar con alguien por teléfono. Más, solo tienen a una persona muy ocupada trabajando todos los eventos del hotel. Aparte de eso, las vistas, ambiente, comida muy rica y todo lo demás fue un excito. -

We had a construction zone as our wedding backdrop because the owner decided to make an infinity pool starting in November, and it’s still not even close to finished. We weren’t even told, we found out in accident when we went in January to pay and saw it. We were told it would be finished. Our wedding was in June and there was orange fencing and piles of dirt and scaffolding everywhere that we had to try to work around because it’s right in view of all the wedding arches. This is 100% the owners fault, because the staff here, are amazing, they worked tirelessly to try to find solutions to this (Marilyn is an absolute angel, this place would not function without her, really). Everyone, from the reception to the handymen are lovely and accommodating and the views are spectacular it’s only a pity that the owner has no concept of accommodating their multiple weddings and not having construction during the wedding season. We weren’t the only people to complain, the poor staff have been through hell this year because none of the couples were told anything (we spoke to a few others by chance and they said the same thing) and so they’ve borne the brunt of the frustration although it isn’t their fault. If I could give a review for service alone, it would be 10 out of 5, they are spectacular. They also have an Issue with hot water, our romantic jacuzzi was ice cold and they kept trying to fix it but nothing, no hot water for three days. But for an Oceanside venue with amazing views, this place cannot be beat. Villa Montana is fancier and right on the beach, and they have hot water but they don’t have the sweeping dramatic views and lush tropical greenery that Hotel Guajataca has, nor can they come close to beating the price. Our food was also amazing, and the bartenders are fun and lively. -

My husband & I really had our hearts set on getting married on the west side of Puerto Rico so finding Hotel El Guajataca was a true blessing! The views of the coastline are breathtaking & we were able to book our reception in the newly remodeled Salon Asua ballroom on the 2nd floor. Daliza Vargas helped coordinate our food tasting ahead of time & our guests truly enjoyed the food served at our wedding. It rained before our ceremony time so we were accommodated inside the boho-chic Salon Asua room. The rain cleared & we were able to take beautiful sunset pictures right on the beach. Our guests enjoyed the pools onsite & the waitstaff were all very professional & friendly. Would definitely recommend Hotel El Guajataca to anyone wanting to be married in Puerto Rico! -

The venue was beautiful but the wedding coordinator added a DJ on to my package. He was absolutely terrible! He messed up my music then told me he didn’t have my music list after I sent it to him over two months prior to the wedding. He did hard stops on the songs he just did not know what he was doing and my guest were furious that this was being done to me at my wedding. I did write the wedding coordinator explaining to them that this portion of the package should’ve been refunded to me since I had such a bad experience with the DJ they chose. Other than that it’s seemed the didn’t have a enough food for my guest which My husband saw the extra pans and spoke to wedding coordinator and he expressed that there was extra pans in the back and that there was enough food but some of my guest complaint that they didn’t have any meat. Beside all the issues it’s a beautiful view and the hall it self was big and beautiful. If they can fix these issues they can have an amazing wedding venue. -

I was extremely disappointed with my overall experience at this wedding venue. If you are a destination bride from the states considering this location, book elsewhere on the island. My wedding took place April 2025. The coordinator assigned to me by the hotel was Daliza Vargas, who was kind as we communicated over the phone and email for months, but ended up lying to me and I felt so blindsided by her as well as the manager, Miriam Cordero. I would see Miriam around the property the day after and she never once approached me to follow up or bother to ask how things were, she did not seem to have a personable bone in her body and to be the one that helped us originally, it was extremely disheartening. All she did was smile and walk past me as if she were a guest in her own hotel. I reserved the ballroom casabi and wooden pergola two years in advance with Miriam who gave me and my husband a tour of the property. I was never informed during it that a smaller ballroom was being built and could potentially be booked the same day/time as my own. The two ballrooms would ultimately share the same bathroom as the rest of the hotel, so you could imagine the state of the bathrooms towards the reception, they were atrocious and it was obvious there was little to no upkeep happening despite the number of guests among both wedding parties combined using the only public factilities on the property. When originally booking this location for my ceremony and reception I was never even warned that multiple weddings could potentially occur on the same day, let alone have the ceremonies begin at the same time and place, and it only occured to me when it was breezed over in email conversation with Daliza. I expressed my valid concerns multiple times about the ceremonies potentially overlapping in the 2 areas down by the beach (wooden pergola or white arches), which she claimed to have taken into consideration and time and time again I would be reassured by her that it would not become an issue and the ceremonies wouldn't overlap. I regret not hiring a day-of wedding coordinator because on the day of as I was cooped up in the room getting ready, the coordinator the hotel assigned to me, Daliza was nowhere to be found. Everytime I called into the front desk with a question for her they kept pushing me aside saying that Daliza was scheduled to come in later that day. My biggest concern/fear became reality... the other wedding ceremony was ending as I was making my entrance to my own (despite theirs being planned the hour before my ceremony, it was all a lie and they basically happened right at the same time and I was given no such warning). As much as I tried to focus on my own ceremony happening in front of me, it was impossible with the other wedding party disrespectfully cheering and taking up space in the ceremony area while mine was clearly going on. It felt like my concerns were just put aside and it was only until we were inside the reception space when I saw Daliza and I couldn't even speak to her after feeling like I was lied to. Over the process of signing the contract and submitting final payment we were also blindsided by surprise fees and taxes that were only detailed once asked about in person. Also it was pouring rain outside at one point of the reception and guests had complained of water dripping down from the ceiling onto the dance floor and it seemed to be dripping from directly above from a lightbulb socket. As someone who was planning from the states and only in person the week before I would have appreciated more time and care making my day feel as special as it should have been, but I felt like I was just giving money to a machine and I truly believe I would have been given more respect if I was the only ceremony happening that day. The only positive review I can give was to the decorator I was assigned, Raymond Perez as he did an excellent job executing my dreams of having a tropical inspired backdrop to the reception. I made a detailed slideshow months before of what I was hoping to see in terms of sweetheart table and centerpieces and he did an excellent job in executing that. However at the end of the night some of the decorations I had supplied myself (table numbers, mr. & mrs. signs, even my fiance's vapes) were taken by the person assigned clean up and despite me trying my best to collect all of my things at the end of the night, the unknown person they hired to clean up had taken more than they should have and I was unable to leave with everything I brought. All in all I loved my wedding and I love my husband but if you are looking to book a destination wedding, to be heard and respected and not treated like another number, it's not here. Keep looking cause this is not it. Don't even get me started on the rooms either, just check their google reviews for a rundown of the state of the hotel.Hotel El Guajataca's reply:

If I could give this place a zero star I would, the view was great but the rest was not.
Short version: DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING HERE. The stress this place caused was NOT worth it. Their communication is HORRIBLE. They booked a huge company party at the same time RIGHT NEXT to our ceremony for a couple hundred people & didn’t bother to mention it until about 2 months prior when it came up in convo. My small 30 person wedding ended up having a couple hundred strangers STARING at us the whole ceremony. It felt awkward and we just went through it as fast as we could to get it over with.
Long story:
The manager, Miriam, is a liar. I had a horrible experience dealing with them for our wedding in January, they booked a huge comp party that was right next to the same day as our wedding. You can see the amt of people blurred out and the overhead shot attached. Miriam lied to us as we were about to walk down the isle claiming for all our inconveniences they would send us the drone footage. You can see the drone footage on their IG for their 1/13 party but Miriam has ignored my messages asking where the footage is they claimed to send us. Daliza is the only good thing about this place (and why I gave service two stars. She was great but new so had to follow up with Miriam often.) Daliza said Miriam claims it’s on a diff camera they are having issue with. I have yet to hear anything directly from Miriam and it’s been almost ten months. We were daliza’s maybe 2nd wedding & did everything she could to try to put fires out.
Rooms: Basic rooms, not clean. None of them are consistent- some had better amenities than others. Gave my Wed guest a key to a room that was already occupied & he walked in on them. Honeymoon suite was gross and we didn’t even use the old crusty looking jacuzzi. One guest had to be moved 3 times. Started to tell guests not to grab their luggage until they were in their rooms & checked them bc there were so many issues.
Food & drink: The breakfast they offer is the worse breakfast we’ve ever had at a hotel. All we could eat was the toast, everything else we threw away. Food was over priced for what they made. Had a wedding and the pool bar wasn’t even open. Drinks over priced. Will say the bartender we had for the wedding though was very nice and fun.
The food for the wedding was also so bad. I’ve never knew skirt steak could look fake and taste so bad. Didn’t even finish eating it and we paid extra.
Horrible communication, gross food, horrible rooms, horrible service. Just stay away from this place. -

Honestly, to me was a shame that my wedding guests (doctors, lawyers, businessmen, family members) were astounded for the lack of cleanliness and poor maintenance of the place inside the ballroom and its surroundings.
For the extremely expensive prices of their packages (almost $5,000.00 basic package), I would suggest and it would be fair enough to have a much cleaner, flashy, showy surroundings, yet safer place for such a special occasion.
