Amazing welcome party!

The evening before our wedding, we held a welcome party at the Hotel Boulderado. Everything about the experience was perfect -- the food, drinks, beautiful setting, and staff made our event so memorable. Alysun, the Sales Manager of weddings and social events, was especially helpful in setting up our party. Her communication, friendly nature and attention to detail were outstanding. We would definitely recommend any type of wedding event at the Hotel Boulderado!

We had the best experience possible with the Hotel Boulderado! We booked our venue about a year and a half before we actually got married and the hotel experienced some changes during that time. Our package that we purchased never changed though some pricing changes occurred and they still accommodated everything we had originally wanted with no additional charges. Sam is by far the most professional reassuring person I worked with while planning my wedding and she was able to wrangle our crazy wedding party and assure that everything went off without a hitch. Also, the banquet team took care of everything from start to finish from set up to tear down. I did not worry about a thing all day and it was because of the experience, professionalism, and positive attitudes of the folks that work there. If you are looking for a venue that alleviates all of the stress that goes along with planning a wedding, than this is your venue.

The evening was wonderful, we did have 3 event planners in 9 months. The staff were great and handled everything the day of, the food was wonderful and our family LOVED the hotel!

The Hotel Boulderado and all of its staff was amazing!! The staff went above and beyond in the planning and implementation of my daughters wedding reception. They were sensitive to our budget and even found ways to get more for less!! I have two more daughters who will be married in the future and would not hesitate to book with the Hotel Boulderado again. Thank you for making her day so special!!

We loved working with the Boulderado and Melissa! It was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Having the ceremony and reception in the same venue was great. The in-house catering made for easy food and drink choices and the decor already present on the Mezzanine (romantic Victorian) made it easier to decorate the tables. Having an in-house wedding coordinator also made a huge difference. Melissa made herself available whenever we needed to check in about something and helped us with some significant, last minute changes. I never felt like I was inconveniencing her, even when I was obsessing about last minute details. I was able to show her my decorations for the space and was confident that she would make sure they were done correctly. We did not have to worry about set-up or clean up of the reception space - the banquet manager was on top of everything and made sure that all of our stuff ended up in the Bridal Suite. We would recommend 100% using the Boulderado for a wedding or other big event!

We loved working with the Hotel Boulderado! When my now-husband and I walked into the venue for the first time, we knew that the unique, elegant, and historic feel of the hotel's mezzanine was perfect for our ceremony and reception. We worked with coordinator Melissa throughout the planning process and she was also there to orchestrate everything on our wedding day. Melissa was organized, professional, and extremely accommodating at all times. The hotel provided excellent food and service at a great price. We also used their preferred vendor list to find our florist, baker, and DJ, all of which we were very happy with. We would absolutely recommend this venue!

The Boulderado was amazing!! After our previous venue fell through, they were able to accommodate our wedding on very short notice. Tonya was wonderful to work with - she answered all our questions and went over every detail with us so we knew what to expect. She is so knowledgeable and has great ideas for creating a smooth event that everyone will enjoy. The food was delicious - we did a cocktail style reception with a variety of different tapas. Every detail was taken care of in an organized and professional manner. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our entire event, and was helpful in accommodating some last minute requests from our families. Thank you all!!

Wow - the BEST wedding-planning decision I made! An incredible value: when talking money, I kept waiting for some hidden expense...but it never came. In fact, Hotel Boulderado gave me more than I was ever expecting. From the very beginning, Tonya included taxes and gratuity in all of the estimates so we could see an itemized list of all of the costs. They provided beautiful centerpieces (for a small rental fee), table # stands, an antique bird cage to hold the money cards, etc. Tonya was amazing...so calm and reassuring and also so fun at the same time. She patiently answered all of my questions, was totally prompt in her responses, and accommodated my parents and I every step of the way. I am not good at details so I just handed over some decorations and said, "make it pretty", and they totally did. The reception was beautifully decorated in a way I never could have envisioned. All of the staff went above and beyond in service. They were professional, funny, and all totally awesome! The food was AMAZING. We had the petite filet and I was nervous that it wouldn't be cooked correctly, since it is so easy to overcook but it was done perfectly and all of the other food was perfect as well.

I can't say enough good things - Tonya and the event staff went above and beyond in every way. The guest book got lost the night of the wedding, but Tonya found it and OVERNIGHTED it to our house! I loved that we could do the ceremony right next to the reception and guests didn't have to travel. The wedding discount on the rooms was amazing and all of my guests couldn't stop raving about the Boulderado staff and their stay at the hotel.

I always envisioned myself getting married out in the woods, but due to logistics (and the amazing reviews), we chose Hotel Boulderado. The style of the hotel is perfect for a wedding: classic, unique, beautiful, required minimal decorating on my part, and was stunning for pictures.

I chose Hotel Boulderado for it's unique romantic feel and the fact that it is close to a "one stop shop" (they have their own ceremony area, catering, clean up, coordinator, reception area, rooms, after party/after-after party locations, and centerally located downtown).
We were married during the Holidays when the big tree was put up, the lobby was decorated, school - aged carolers in the lobby during the day, the parade of lights festival going on, etc......it was great. They took care of us well, even in the middle of all the other events. We had no distractions during the wedding, and the reception had excellent service with the staff. I am so glad that I chose the Boulderado and would do it all over again.

A great place for a wedding reception. We loved the catered food (and have had many friends say they loved the food too). The presidential suite was a great room for getting set up and other logistics. The Hotel staff was excellent at being there to help when we were stressed with planning. They really took a lot of burden off of us and helped make the day very memorable.

The wedding planners at the Boulderado were great to work with! We had our ceremony nearby and then had our reception at the Boulderado. It was great! The setting was beautiful and the even went off seamlessly.

We held our wedding reception at the Hotel Boulderado and were truly impressed with the service we received. Tonya was extremely accommodating and attentive to all our needs (even ones we didn't know we had!), and many of our guests mentioned how good the food was. We highly recommend the Hotel Boulderado to anyone interested in hosting a classy event.

Working with the event staff at the Boulderado could not have been easier! We looked at several venues and from our first meeting it was apparent that they were organized, flexible, and willing to accommodate our requests. It was great peace of mind knowing that they were handling everything, and they had great suggestions when we were not always sure exactly what we wanted. They just took care of everything! We can't say enough good things about the staff at the Boulderado! They made our event a great success!

Your sales representative will be totally available to you. I never had a problem reaching Tonya, and if she was away from her desk, she called me back within a day. In the days before the wedding she was my calm reassurance that the day would be perfect, AND it was thanks to her careful planning. It was as if she and her crew thought up all the possible problems or needs and anticipated them so that the event was perfect. Can't say enough about the way they cared for us during the event. One man even helped me carry some things to the care when the event ended. Now That is service.

We hosted our rehearsal dinner hear, and the lion's share of the guests (including party and our families) stayed here. They were excellent at every turn. In particular, the bell boys and valets were simply wonderful. The event staff was also great - totally easy to work with, and not afraid to make very good suggestions. I loved seeing friends and family in the beautiful lobby.

Using the Boulderado as a base of operations was one of the best things we did!

We had such a wonderful experience working with the ladies at the Hotel Boulderado. They were helpful and flexible and very knowledgeable about how to work with their space. I could not have asked for better planners. The food was so delightful and delicious, all of my guests after the wedding said how exceptional the food was. We had the amazing opportunity to stay in the Presidential suite and that room alone was a highlight of our wedding. We Would definitely recommend the Boulderado and staff for any party or wedding ceremony and of course if they get a chance, a room for the night.

Our wedding planner was wonderful! She coordinated all details of the wedding and reception so we didn't have to worry about anything. Decorations were set up according to our requests. Service and food were excellent.

Dani and Tonya and the whole team were fantastic. They worked with our budget, large guest list, and family traditions. They set up our decorations, let us come in the night before to add a few more finishing touches, were beyond flexible and offered great advice, and were all around wonderful. The food was delicious. From the tastings to helping us settle on a menu to our ever changing guest count, they were wonderful and the food and waitstaff were awesome. Our wedding happened to be in blizzard conditions and they were still ready to go, even adding some last minute items to the menu in lieu of the storm. Very professional, friendly, and a blast to work with. if you're getting married in Boulder, this is the place, hands down. We also spent our honeymoon here because we just couldn't get enough of the atmosphere and friendly staff.

The Hotel Boulderado was a wonderful place to have our reception. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, the venue was lovely, and the food was excellent. The woman who helped us book our day was very responsive. She returned calls promptly and set up a couple of walk-throughs when we requested them. She also provided me with a spreadsheet and the menu, so I was perfectly in control of the estimated cost of the wedding. I knew exactly what taxes and gratuities would end up being. The event coordinator took time to sit down with me and discuss exactly what I needed for the wedding. She was very generous with her time answering the one hundred questions I had leading up to the day of our wedding. Also, the banquet manager was fantastic. He met with us to discuss our decorations and he gave us some great ideas. There were several staff members there at our wedding to answer questions and make sure everything went smoothly. We used heavy books to decorate with and I was a little worried they would be too much for us to deal with after the ceremony, but the staff was amazing with helping us pack up and take the books where they needed to go after the reception. We barely had to lift a finger. I cannot thank the staff at he Boulderado enough for helping us so much with our wedding.

We just had our wedding reception in the mezzanine at the Hotel Boulderado. We had a very pleasant experience from the beginning of planning to the very end of the reception, and couldn't be happier about choosing the Boulderado! We worked with Tonya, who was a joy to be with, and so calm and professional. At one point we considered hiring a wedding planner, but Tonya assured us she and her staff would do A LOT of the work and that we probably would be fine without a planner. She was right. The hotel staff went above and beyond to ensure our reception would go flawlessly. The food (which is a huge part of a party in our opinion) was delicious! We heard MANY compliments on how good the food was, and how nicely everything was presented. My husband and I wanted to add a few of our own decoration pieces, such as family wedding pictures and our custom made guest book. All we had to do was drop everything off a couple of days before. I remember walking into the mezzanine after our ceremony and it looked beautiful! We used one of the florists recommended by the hotel (Ellen Cara Boulder), who was very familiar with the venue, and together they did a fantastic job. The mezzanine is such a unique place. We loved that it had many windows, and is already very elegant and full of character on its own. It took very simple flower arrangements and candles to make it beautiful and classy, whereas in your regular boxy, plain hotel ballroom we would have spent a fortune to decorate. The other awesome thing about the Boulderado is its location. We had many guests from out of town who absolutely loved Boulder. We were extremely pleased with how everything turned out, and highly recommend the Hotel Boulderado!

This was the most amazing place to get married. The staff was absolutely awesome and went above and beyond. The rooms, food, and atmosphere were incredible. Our wedding was perfect! We couldn't have been happier.

Our wedding at the Boulderado was absolutely amazing! The staff was over the top helpful, professional, and dependable every step of the way. The food they provided was delicious and everyone could not stop talking about how beautiful the venue was (we had ours in the event center). I would definitely recommend this venue!

Our wedding reception went perfectly, and it was 100% thanks to the team at the Boulderado. Tonya was so helpful, thoughtful, and upbeat. Really, just having Tonya makes the value for cost outrageously good; a wedding planner provided by the venue as part of the package makes everything else so easy! The food and wine was, of course, phenomenal as well.

Our wedding was absolutely perfect - and I attribute that wholeheartedly to our awesome vendors! Most notably, the Hotel Boulderado was the most amazing place to hold a reception. A Boulder native, I chose the Boulderado based on style, service, reputation, and class. I'm happy to say that it lived up to my expectations and surpassed them.
Megan McKinley was my direct contact and she was simply amazing throughout the planning process - and the big day. She was very professional yet friendly, she answered every question promptly and thoroughly, and was on-site for the big day to make sure everything went smoothly.
The food was absolutely delicious by both mine and my guests' opinions. The catering staff was professional - and kept the cocktail reception moving right along. They kept it tidy without even being seen!
The hotel itself is gorgeous and very well-kept in general. Most of our guests stayed at the hotel (as did we). The rooms are immaculately clean and unexpectedly roomy and well-renovated (it is a 100 year old hotel!) The honeymoon suite is heavenly - we were very disappointed that we didn't stay for a few extra days!
I especially loved that the Hotel took care of just about all of the details. I only brought in a few flowers, small table centerpieces, and the cake. Everything else was done, and for a very reasonable and inclusive cost, by the hotel.
I highly recommend the Hotel Boulderado for a wedding of any size!

First of all, I am from the East Coast and I LOVE the old Victorian style. I went EVERYWHERE to find what I wanted and I could not find it...the "Lodge-look" with the dead animal on the wall was NOT my idea of "elegant" for our wedding. That would be appropriate for a ski weekend...NOT my wedding! I was VERY frustrated. I finally found a picture of The Hotel Boulderado...before I even went for a visit to view the hotel...I knew this was "it"!!! Anna Mundale was icing on the cake!! She answered my 750 questions and e-mailed me right back. Our Presidential suite was INCREDIBLE!!! All our friends fit in there for the after party...late night!!! Every thing was set up so beautifully...I could not have wished or asked for more. FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!! The service impeccable...the cap sleeve on my wedding dress snapped at one point and the MAN at the front desk pinned it for me AND gave my friend a small sewing kit "just in case" it broke again!!!! I could go on and on...to sum it up...YES I WOULD HIGHLY Recommend The Hotel Boulderado!!

The Boulderado was the perfect place to hold a wedding. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are a pleasure. Everything was flawless and people are still talking about what a great time they had.

Both my mother and mother-in-law fell in the love with the Hotel Boulderado before we even saw it in person. Part of the wedding package is you get an on-site wedding coordinator who helps with the details. I had the absolute luck to work with Anna Mundale. She is/was fabulous. I had NOTHING to worry about getting everything set up. She understood what I wanted and made sure I got it. The day of the wedding, we took a bunch of stuff down for her to set up for the reception and she did a breathtaking job. The value for the money was also excellent--which took me by surprise. The food is delectable.
The hotel is unique and gorgeous, the staff is impeccable and my wedding was absolutely perfect. I would do it all over again with them.
All our wedding guests were blown away by the entire package.

We had our wedding this last summer and the reception was held at the Hotel Boulderado. From start to finish they were great to work with. They were always responsive, and they were willing to work with us on everything that we wanted. From my placing all ten parts of my centerpieces on every table to giving us exactly what we wanted on the menu. The food they served was delicious and worth the price. It was also great that being a summer outdoor ceremony, if we had gotten rained out, they were willing to hold the ceremony as well with short notice. So I did not have to stress over what we would do it if rained.

I also absolutely love the glass ceiling over the mezzanine area where our reception is held. It made for a wonderful ambiance. The mezzanine was also prefect for the size of my wedding, which was about 80 people.

They were very professional and coordinated with all of our vendors and everything went off without a hitch. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Tonya, Dani and all the staff at the Hotel Boulderado are absolutely amazing plus so fun to work with. From the accommodations, the over all value, the food, and the location-you just couldnt ask for more of a perfect wedding.

My guests left the wedding weekend saying that this was the wedding of the century, and I give all the credit to the Boulderado.

I will never regret having my wedding at The Hotel Boulderado. Such a beautiful location with amazing service. Beverly in their events department was such a great resource, recommending our officiant and photographer, both who were also outstanding. The service on the day of my wedding was impeccable, I was treated with care every step of the way, and it turned out perfect. In fact, when I think back, it was pretty much flawless. Also, so awesome that there was no ceremony fee if you had the reception there.

Had our second ceremony and reception here, and most of our guests stayed at the hotel. The events staff (Tonya and Dani) are fabulous, kind, really on top of their clients. Like, asking how our cat was doing and stuff. Totally open and flexible with our weird ceremony ideas and order of events. Our out of town guests loved the history and proximity to Pearl Street and even thought the room prices were reasonable. Our Presidential Suite was great for getting ready with the girls and for the wedding night after (though a bit haunted, we thought)! Only complaint is their system for menu-tastings - very limited and not at all sufficient to plan a menu you can be certain about. But we'd use them again, nevertheless!

We held a reception here following a destination wedding abroad. The Boulderado event staff helped us finalize everything before we left the country, and were very flexible about necessary changes shortly before the event. Everything was ready when we arrived, and the staff was responsive and efficient. Tonya made sure that everything went smoothly so that we were able to concentrate on our guests and the happy couple. The planning process was easy, and Tonya graciously considered our budget when offering choices and making suggestions. The venue is lovely and really complemented the historical, elegant wedding theme. I would recommend the Boulderado to any couple in the Boulder in search of a venue for a small to mid-sized guest list.

With 1,000 year rains washing out all roads in and out of Estes Park we found that we had to replan a wedding we’d been working on for a year in 24 hours!!! Enter the Hotel Boulderado… From the initial phone call to inquire about availability to the final minutes of post wedding cleanup, the staff at the Boulderado was exceptional. Everyone from the sales Manager, Melissa, to the wait staff, A/V team and bartenders were professional, compassionate, detail oriented, efficient, helpful and amazingly kind and easy to work with. The attentive staff made our quickly cobbled together wedding run flawlessly. Thanks to the Boulderado for an amazing plan B!

Loved planning our wedding there. And in the days leading up tot the wedding, the staff were extremely helpful and responsive. Our guests really appreciated the room rates and loved the location and the hotel's charm. It really is a beautiful location but they go out of their way to now just rest on this beauty but make everything run very smoothly.

The Hotel Boulderado was excellent to work with. They were always prompt in their response and very helpful. They were willing to accommodate any request that I had. I would work with them again in an instant.

I called Beverly Silva FRANTIC about our possible change in locations. She first checked to see if the date was open, and it was. She immediately invited us to a tasting the next day, and each person that works on the event staff answered our questions at the tasting. We booked on the spot.

Beverly mentioned another bride and groom (who had their RD at the Boulderado), had their reception at the Greenbriar and had some of the same complaints we did. She was incredibly considerate and over-accommodating. They gave us our honeymoon suite for free and gave us chair covers for free (which was so nice considering the other venue wanted to charge us $1.50 just to set up chairs). Beverly also kept in touch with me weekly regarding the menu, the setup, etc. I basically gave her a lot of the random decorations and OOT bags, and she made sure everything was put in the rooms and set up perfectly. One of the other event people, Katie, also helped. Shes a doll and I would have been happy with either person!!!
One thing to note: The curfew for this venue is 11:30. Our wedding was at 6 so the reception didnt start until 8 and music had to stop before I was ready for it to be over. Also, theyre now offering a set fee for alcohol so if youre paying for an open bar, GO WITH THIS OPTION. We didnt have to worry about going over our bar fee, and considering the fact most of the people drank at our wedding, it was very nice.

The Hotel Boulderado was an amazing location to have our reception. Not only did they provide a great atmosphere and excellent food, but they even offered us a back up plan in case our ceremony location did not work out. Linda was wonderful to deal with and her staff show nothing but the utmost professionalism.

Overall, we were very pleased with our choice to use the Boulderado for our wedding ceremony and reception venue. Staff was responsive, helpful, and attendant to our guests.

Absolutely beautiful venue and good food, but unfortunately it was the worst service we ever received. The staff was not only unorganized and rude to us, but they were rude to our guests. The sales staff including the wedding coordinator continuously rolled their eyes at us and did not have anything ready for us when it was supposed to be. For example, seating arrangements weren't done, rooms weren't ready, valet was not ready - list goes on (they also lost a ton of personal items of ours). In the months leading up to the event, email and phone responses were slow and we felt continuously deprioritized. We were unable to get a final estimate until two weeks before the wedding. Considering we had a substantial amount of guests staying at the hotel we expected a little more respect. While we understand nothing can be perfect, there is an expectation that when something happens, you resolve the issue and do not blame the customer. We would not recommend holding your wedding or a large event here.

So first night I get there, my room is suppose to be fully paid for as my father had contacted them and put his card down for the room and sent all the forms they requested. I ask the front desk girl if she shows that which she says yes. She then says she needs a card for incidentals which comes out to $50 pre-auth per day so for me $250. I say sure and hand her my debit card, she swipes it and I get up stairs and find that she had pre-authed $1,800+ which is all of my money for the trip.

When I talk to management about it they say the girl is new and over authorized my card. They then try to tell me there is nothing they can do and that the preauth will fall off sometime in 5 business days... it is currently Friday night so it wont be falling off till next Friday and I leave Wednesday. I tell them that won't work as that's all my money for my trip. So the night manager tells me to talk to my bank in the morning and then to call the day manager who will be able to reverse the auth or give me money to use for my trip and will just charge it when I check out.

When I call the day manager she has no clue of the issue as no one told her about it at all. So she talks to whoever and then tells me she is going to talk to my bank. My bank tells them to fax a form in and they will remove it within 2-3 business days. The auth did not fall off till Tuesday evening and my return flight was Wednesday morning. I couldn't take my nephew to the amusement park, couldn't get the massage I wanted to get and couldn't go to any of the places I really wanted to because this hotel messed up.

Well they for sure did something to make it up right? Nope. Just got a sorry and that was that. Then to make matters worse they started doing construction on the room next to mine at 8 AM!!!! Literally drilling into the wall that my room shared. To this day they still have not replied to any e-mails we have sent to them.
