I can’t recommend Hotel Blackhawk enough for your next event! We had lots of out of town guests for our wedding who raved about the hotel and loved their rooms. Kimberlin made the event planning process so easy and was incredibly communicative with all vendors and individuals involved. Our reception went so smoothly thanks to Kimberlin and all the staff at hotel Blackhawk! -

Hotel Blackhawk is such a beautiful venue. We hosted our reception in the Gold Room. I knew right away that the gold room was the perfect spot for us. The interior design was amazing. Kimberlin was responsive and was so very helpful in every process of the wedding planning. Having Kimberlin really helped make the planning process less stressful. She handled everything so beautifully and smoothly. Would recommend Kimberlin and Hotel Blackhawk any day!! -

Beautiful wedding venue!
If you’re thinking about booking your event/wedding at Hotel Blackhawk, DO IT! Kimberlin and the staff at Blackhawk are the best! They are hard workers and so easy to communicate/work with. From start to finish, Kimberlin was in contact with us which made planning very helpful. She went above and beyond with providing vendor recommendations, scheduling a timeline, and navigating the night for us. We did not see the Gold Room until the reception was about to start which can be nerve racking (but also the best part because it makes the room reveal all the more exciting). Kimberlin worked very well with the vendors to get everything in place the day of. As a bride, it was nice to know they were taking care of those aspects while we could relax and enjoy the day! The food and drinks were amazing as well as the service! Thank you to Kimberlin and the staff at Hotel Blackhawk for helping us celebrate our dream wedding - a day we will never forget! Cannot recommend this venue enough! -

We spent our entire Wedding Day at Hotel Blackhawk. From getting ready in our own suite with stunning river views, our intimate ceremony in the Davenport room into cocktail hour on the mezzanine, and our reception in the beautiful Gold Room. Kimberlin was so helpful starting from when we first took our tour. She handled so much for us that I never would’ve imagined to fall into her duties that made our event so seamless! We cannot recommend Hotel Blackhawk for your wedding day enough! -

Storybook Wedding
We held my daughter’s wedding here and I heard more than one person remark about it being a storybook wedding. The venue was beautiful and the staff was so helpful. Kimberlin had everything under control which made it so much easier for me to relax and enjoy.
I wasn’t sure how having the dance floor up above would work instead of on the same level as the tables but it was fantastic!
Food was delicious and nicely sized portions. No one left hungry and remarked how good the food was. -

Best Wedding Venue
Hotel Blackhawk was the venue for us as soon as we walked in. The lobby was beautiful and the Gold Room was the right amount of elegant we were looking for. The room spoke for it self and didn't require a ton of decorating. Our guests loved everything about the hotel too; historic, beautiful, unique, the food was delicious, and the staff was professional, polite, kind and informative.
Hotel Blackhawk promotes their in-house wedding planner. As we planned the wedding she was helpful in answering any questions we had regarding the reception. I'm sure if I asked for help with planning she would have helped, however I am glad I did not rely on her to reach out to me for that. When I did reach out with questions or ideas she was VERY helpful and even more so responsive. I never felt like my emails were missed. The day of is really where she shined, she was so helpful in helping to set things up, getting our lunch from one room to another, and working with our vendors. I never heard a peep and didn't have to stress about it either, I knew it was in good hands. She really took care of us and some of the small details really helped to make our day special.
Once she left for the evening the banquet coordinate was extremely helpful and communicative on what we should and (optionally) shouldn't clean up and could do the next morning. She gave clear instructions on where to find our cake and did it all with a smile.
In conclusion, I have zero regrets about having our wedding reception at the Hotel Blackhawk and would recommend them to anyone that is considering having an event there. -

If you’re not getting married at the Hotel Blackhawk, you’re doing it wrong.
If you’re not getting married at the hotel Blackhawk, you’re doing it wrong. Kimberlin and her staff are the most amazing wedding partners. Not only did they take on any small or large out-of-the-box idea of ours and execute it with a smile, they were also the most professional, lovely people. We had a little over a year to plan our wedding and I was never stressed about the reception because of Kimberlin and her crew. They truly were so organized and responsive, and always one step ahead of me (in a good way!!!!) SERIOUSLY could not have done it without them…..or at least couldn’t have made it out alive without them!!! We had the best day!!!!!
EVERYONE we worked with was just amazing. Planning, waitstaff, bar staff, spa, room bookings. Gosh, I just can’t recommend them enough!!

Hotel Blackhawk is stunning! From the very first meeting, we knew it was exactly what we were looking for - a beautiful space that was classic and timeless. The venue coordinator, Kimberlin, is superwoman! She went above and beyond every step of the way to make sure we had the perfect day. From answering questions, providing recommendations, keeping us on track with deadlines, and much more, she was outstanding. The food was delicious and the service team was excellent. The Gold Room looked beautiful on the day of the wedding and had our guests talking long after the wedding was over. Thank you to the entire Hotel Blackhawk team for making our wedding the perfect day! -

Wow! Customer service throughout the process, Kim was more than what I could have asked for. We had changes at the last minute that we were able to do. The food was terrific. I was also able to have my ceremony and reception all in the same place, which was a massive factor for us. We were also able to use the sky bar for pictures.
We did get a lot of compliments on how tasty the food was. One thing that I would recommend is giving the groom and groomsmen the same type of room the bride and bridesmaids get.

Amazing experience!

I knew the moment I walked into the Gold Room at the Hotel Blackhawk that I wanted it to be our wedding venue. It is absolutely gorgeous on its own so there was very little I needed to do for décor. When Kimberlin handed me a folder full of recommended vendors that she had worked with in the past and was able to answer all of my questions immediately, I knew we had picked the right place. We were given all our food and drink options to choose from with pricing up front, which made budgeting super easy and when we had last minute changes, Kimberlin didn't even bat an eye. To say Kimberlin is nothing short of incredible is an understatement - she may actually be superhuman. She was there for absolutely every question, concern, request, and situation. Kimberlin and her team made it possible for me to not only enjoy the planning process and our wedding day, but my husband and I were both able to be completely relaxed because she is so amazing. -

Absolutely amazing!!! Gorgeous indoor and outdoor venue. The sunset on the rooftop bar was spectacular and guests loved it. This vendor suggest preferred vendors for all areas of the wedding planning (flowers, decor, photographer, DJ, videographer and transportation) I was extremely pleased with all the choices and the support regarding the communication with vendors. Kimberlin Richardson was like hiring a personal wedding planner!! She was organized, professional, flexible, responsible and always calm! Kimberlin responds efficiently and quickly!! She addresses all needs, concerns and questions. I was beyond impressed by her. I give a lot of credit to her for the easiness of the planning and smoothness of the night. The bartenders were friendly, fun and interactive with guests. Everything from cocktail reception, dinner, champagne toasts and reception moved smoothly and effortlessly. Many compliments on the food by guests. They loved the appetizers, food and drink options. Several of my guests reached out to compliment the night. Overall, I can’t express enough how joyous the night was to celebrate my son’s wedding. I would recommend the venue, staff, food, planning and setup to anyone celebrating a special occasion. My son, daughter-in-law and our families haven’t stopped talking about this special night!!! -

Kimberlin and the whole team at The Black Hawk/ The Current were so wonderful to work with. We had our rehearsal dinner at The Current and Kimberlin made the planning so easy. The staff working day-of were so kind, helpful and professional. The room was set up well, the food was good and crowd-pleasing and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. They communicated with us throughout the whole evening and really made us feel special. -

Wonderful!
I’m so glad we chose Hotel BlackHawk for our son’s rehearsal dinner! The view from the 11th floor was so cool! The room was set up nicely. The appetizers and food were both very good!
Kimberlin was easy to work with, as well. She always responded in a timely manner leading up to the day. She offered great advice.
Everything turned out so well, and it was a great way to kick off an amazing wedding weekend! -

A Glorious Wedding Weekend for my Daughter and her Husband
I cannot say enough about the Hotel Blackhawk and the fine job they did hosting my daughter’s wedding and reception. The hotel and ballroom are gorgeous, and even more so once decorated by local florist, Chris Crow, whose centerpieces, flower arrangements, garlands and candles accentuated the beautiful crystal chandeliers, wall sconces already in the room. We held our ceremony and reception in the same room, and the skill and speed with which the staff and our vendors flipped the room was extraordinary. While they did that, the mezzanine/balcony outside the ballroom and above the lobby was perfect for our cocktail reception of bubbly and passed hors d’oeuvres. Our pianist played cocktail music on the baby grand piano in the lobby (which was freshly tuned for us) to provide more atmosphere. Everything from the appetizers to the dinners were terrific. Guests from across the country commented on how beautiful the room looked and how delicious was the food. One hundred thirty four of our 200 guests ordered the filet, one of which was me. It was perfect. And I swear the other 133 people who ordered it made a point of telling me their meal was excellent. In fact, all the entrees were excellent. We offered a chicken dish and a vegetarian dish as well. High marks all around. The service also was good and our large room was well attended by the staff. All good things began and ended with the hotel’s excellent wedding coordinator, Kimberlin Richardson. Kimberlin attended to every need and detail we requested. She had a great sense of what would work best for us in the room. And after spending time with my daughter, she did everything from recommending the right local vendors for all our needs, maneuvering us through changes in the room block, arranging and attending our food tasting, and was willing to call audibles for us to accommodate our wish list. She also made sure the room, and everything else, was perfect. And it was. Guests are still talking about it. No job was too big or too small for Kimberlin, from orchestrating our welcome reception in the hotel’s Bowling Alley and Martini Lounge (really fun!) to arranging our Sunday breakfast on a sister hotel’s rooftop down the block (with breathtaking views of the Mississippi River Valley), to pinning on the Father of the Bride’s boutonniere, to fluffing the brides dress before she walked down the aisle. Kimberlin does all this while being exceptionally warm and friendly and positive. On a busy wedding weekend, that proves invaluable in and of itself. Having everything under one roof was terrific as well. Many guests commented on how nice it was that the welcome reception was in the bowling alley right in the hotel. Many of our guests also commented to us about the nice accommodations in the hotel and how good the food was in the hotel’s Bix Bistro restaurant. I can vouch for the burger and the pancakes, bacon and eggs. I heard from several others that the salmon salad and the beef tip crostini were also good. Several guests also took advantage of the spa and barber shop off the main lobby for haircuts, hairdos and manicures. And the hotel is proximate to many sights and attractions, not the lest of which is the riverfront. It was a tremendous experience and my daughter had the wedding of which she always dreamed. Beautiful wedding venue and amazing team!
Hotel Blackhawk was the perfect location for our wedding! The space itself is beautiful, and the team that made it all happen was amazing! Kimberlin was such a pleasure to work with throughout the planning process - she was so attentive and flexible and made sure everything we wanted was prioritized. She was with us the entire weekend (including the rehearsal the night before) to make sure our wedding day went smoothly. She also coordinated with all of our vendors ahead of time to make sure everyone was on the same page. The day was so perfect and there were no hiccups whatsoever! Kimberlin and her team, along with our vendors, flipped the entire room between our ceremony and reception in a little over an hour, and it looked incredible! Not only did our guests love the space, but we heard such great things about the food, drinks and the service as well! Everyone who worked at our event was so pleasant (especially Ashley who served us at our sweetheart table all night!) We couldn't have been happier with our decision to get married at Hotel Blackhawk! -

I can’t say enough good things about the Hotel Blackhawk or Kimberlin. They made this process incredibly easy. The Gold Room is so beautiful that we barely needed decorations. They had amazing food and drink options. We got so many compliments on the dinner and late night snack. The bartenders were amazing, and made sure Ryan and I always had something to drink! The spa on site did our hair and makeup and it turned out wonderfully. They have fun options, like a bowling alley for an after party or a coffee shop with boozy shakes!
None of it would have been possible without Kimberlin. She was with us every step of the way - from the moment we booked through the week after! She was incredibly responsive throughout the process and was knowledgeable about amounts of food/decor we might need! She’s an invaluable resource throughout the process!
We loved our wedding here and it wouldn’t have been the same anywhere else! -

The Hotel Blackhawk was the first and only venue we visited for our wedding as it checked all our boxes, the most important one being a singular location for guest accommodations, day-of getting ready/styling, ceremony, and reception. This was important to us not only for convenience but also the safety of our guests. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and ornate that if you chose not to have additional décor for your wedding it would still be stunning. We already had a wedding planner prior to selecting the venue, but if we had not, we would have been in perfect hands with Kimberlin, the wedding & event planner at the hotel; whether you have a planner or not (she worked wonderfully with ours), Kimberlin will take care of everything and put your mind at ease. She’s attentive, enthusiastic, and cares about what will make your day special. Everything was perfectly coordinated day-of, and we felt very thought of as Kimberlin checked in with us regularly. If you need more convincing that this is the venue for you, we had several guests tell us the dinner service was so outstanding that they wanted to add their own gratuity for their server that evening. -

Hotel Blackhawk is beautifully restored to its Art Deco opulence with modern upgrades. The rooms, and venues (lobby/bar area, Bowling Alley's, Club Davenport Room) were beautiful. All of the staff were exceedingly kind, patient and helpful. The best part was working with Kimberlin Richardson,social sales manager, who arranged our requests, guided us through the process, made excellent recommendations, accomodated every need. She made it all work better than I could have expected. I'm from Chicago, our Mother of the bride picked up a Hotel Blackhawk flier at at bridal expo & passed along to us. Choosing Hotel Blackhawk was the best decision. We had a block of rooms, post reception bowling alley buy-out with full bar & post wedding brunch. No anxiety, stayed on/under budget-credited for things not used. Hope to be back, again. -

When you get engaged during covid, it’s difficult to plan a wedding. Luckily we had so much support and help from the team at Hotel Blackhawk to make our dream wedding come true. Kimberlin was an absolute superstar from the beginning to end. She was so communicative throughout the entire process and helped iron out any issues that arise. Kimberlin went above and beyond for our wedding to make sure the day was perfect! From the night before make sure our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner went smoothly to the morning of helping finish the final details and all throughout the rest of the wedding day. She constantly checked in with us throughout the night to make sure everything was going well even though she was working another wedding at the Current Hotel the same night! Talk about a superstar! We couldn’t have asked for a more attentive, caring, and professional wedding coordinator. We highly recommend working with Kimberlin at the Hotel Blackhawk for your next big event! -

Elegant and Professional
Hotel Blackhawk was an easy decision for our wedding reception venue. Seasoned staff members, a clean elegant environment with a side of historic and classic style, and many helping hands making for the best experience. Other Quad Cities venues do not compare. We also found the pricing to be very comparable to even subpar venues in the area.. it was a no brained for us. -

We can't say enough good things about the Hotel Blackhawk! Our wedding was Oct. 17th 2020. We worked with Avery Nelson throughout the pandemic. She was empathetic and committed to helping us navigate planning a wedding during this challenging time. The entire team at the Hotel Blackhawk delivered and our day was perfect! We are so happy we went with this venue for our wedding and would highly recommend it. The food was spectacular, service exceptional, and the venue is gorgeous. -

We held a brunch at the Blackhawk for our out-of-town guests after our daughter's wedding. Katherine was so responsive and easy to work with. I went early on Sunday thinking I would have to arrange the flowers on each table, but they were all ready for us. The food was delicious and the wait staff couldn't have been more friendly. Our friends and family were impressed; it was a great way to end our weekend of celebration! -

We held our daughter’s wedding reception at Hotel Blackhawk.... and we could not have been more pleased! The wedding coordinator, Katherine, was efficient and friendly.... and always accessible when we had questions. The Gold Room is breathtaking! As our daughter now lives in the Chicago area, this is where the majority of our guests were from.... and even they were impressed Hotel Blackhawk! Several of us stayed in the hotel rooms, which were clean and up to date. My daughter and I had our hair styled in their salon on her wedding day.... and were thrilled with the outcome! (Thank you Anna and Lily!) Also I left my MOB dress in the room when we checked out... and the manager made a special effort to retrieve it for me within a few minutes of my call. Without hesitation, my husband and I would recommend this hotel for a wedding reception! -

I got married on 8/31/2019. It was a dream for us to have our wedding here and we really never thought it would even be possible. Luckily the staff worked with us and figured out a way that we could make our dream wedding come true. I was blown away from my first meeting. It was amazing that there was a team of people willing to work with us to find a way to have our wedding on their property. The level of service that the entire hotel staff delivered went above and beyond our expectations. Katherine was an absolute dream to work with. She was assigned our wedding at the last minute due to staff changes. I was nervous at first because I had been working with the previous planner for over a year. Katherine went through all of our paperwork and emails. When we first met with her it was like she had been planning this with us all along. She really took the time to read the correspondence and understand our vision for our special day. She even helped work through last minute issues we had with other vendors days leading up to the wedding that were not in her control. The week of the wedding, the day of the wedding, and days after I felt like I had a friend helping me every step of the way and problem solving with me to make things perfect. Her attentiveness and genuine care for us allowed us to put complete trust in her.
If this venue even crosses your mind as an option schedule an appointment to meet with them. You will not be disappointed. The entire staff will really show you what exceptional service is. The banquet staff, the bar staff (at both bars), the front desk staff, bellhop, housekeeping, and Katherine were beyond perfect. If I could do it all over again I would not change a thing.

My husband and I were married at the Hotel Blackhawk on 8/3/19. During the wedding planning process the HBH hired a new wedding planner. I was originally very nervous but I had no reason to be. Katherine Perry was beyond amazing and stepped in and did a wonderful job. She went above and beyond during our rehearsal as well as the entire day of the wedding. I panicked when I realized that an online rose petal order did not go through during my rehearsal and within an hour she had called local shops and was able to get me the rose petals of my dreams for my ceremony. The day of the wedding she was amazing as well and did everything in her power to ensure that my day was as stress free as possible. She was not only an amazing wedding coordinator for the day but she felt like an old friend who was there whenever she was needed! She was always there to make sure everything was going okay and if anything was needed. Not only did she ask my husband and I but she made sure the wedding party and our parents had everything they needed. She went above and beyond her duties the entire process and I would HIGHLY recommend the Hotel Blackhawk to anyone looking for a wedding. She is as GREAT as they come. She was detail-oriented, prompt, professional, and most of all a huge sweetheart who makes the wedding planning process fun and not stressful.
In regards to the Hotel itself, all my guests complemented how beautiful the venue was and friendly the staff was. I am still almost a month later having my guests go on and on about how great the appetizers and dinner was. I was originally nervous about how prompt the delivery service would be for a 210 person reception would be and if all of the food would be as amazing as the tasting was but WOW they nailed it. I was seriously impressed with their prompt and friendly service.
In conclusion, Hotel Blackhawk knocked it out of the park and exceeded all my expectations on every level for my wedding. They helped give me my dream wedding and I could not be more appreciative. -

We can't thank HBH staff enough for the outstanding service and care they provided not only during our daughter's wedding reception but to our hotel guests. HBH staff immediately and gladly responded to all our requests ranging from needing bar stools in the room for makeup to bringing pitchers of water for flowers. Kaitlin Clevenger, Property Sales Manager, and Samantha Brain, Rooms Specialist, were exceptional throughout the entire process from providing recommendations/options to hands on assistance the weekend of the event. Michelle Sent on 09/09/2018Choosing Hotel Blackhawk for my ceremony and reception was the best decision we made with our wedding planning. Hotel Blackhawk, especially the Gold Room, is stunning, and totally completed my vision for my wedding. For our many out-of-town guests, they loved the convenience of having our wedding, guest rooms, and many amenities (such as the salon and bowling alley) all under one roof - plus a fun location. Our ceremony was held in the Gold Room, and then the room was “flipped” for the reception while the cocktail hour in the Mezzanine was taking place. For the reception, we used the stage as the dance floor and opened up the connecting Davenport Room to serve as a lounge area with a bar, cocktail tables and couches. We loved this setup for the size of our wedding (160 guests).
Working with Kaitlin Clevenger exceeded our expectations. Working with her put me (and my mom!) at ease, as she was very responsive, organized, and attentive to detail. She went above and beyond to make the day extra special for us and was able to meet every request we had. For example, appetizers and drinks were delivered to our room for us to enjoy for some alone time during cocktail hour, and cake was delivered to our room for us to enjoy at the end of the night. We were also impressed with Kaitlin and the chef during our private tasting with them - so much that we decided to splurge a little for some of the fancier entrees. The execution of the food for the wedding was just what we wanted, and servers and bartenders did their job well.
We are so happy with our experience at Hotel Blackhawk and love every chance we get to go back and visit! -

Thank you to the staff at Hotel Blackhawk for helping us host the most amazing party. Everything was perfect, and we are so thrilled that we chose to spend our weekend at your hotel. It's truly the best in Davenport, and I would recommend hosting a wedding reception at the Gold Room to anyone looking for recommendations. Not only is it beautiful in detail, but it holds the perfect amount of people for an intimate evening (and a rockin' dance party). If you're looking to work with professionals to help make sure your big day is flawless, then Hotel Blackhawk provides you with the right people. THANK YOU Kaitlin Clevenger, for being the greatest event coordinator I could have ever imagined. Kaitlin is a true professional. She is kind, observant, and offers a helping hand whenever its needed. She responded to the millions of e-mails myself, my mom, and others sent to her regarding our event and met with us anytime we needed to go over details, and then go over them again. She helped us throw the perfect party, and was extremely accommodating when working things our with our hotel block, bridal suites, etc. I just can't say thank you enough, Kaitlin for all you did for my family, Kyle, and me. Thank you to those who prepared and served our food the night of our reception. We received so many compliments on how wonderful everything tasted, and we agree ourselves... it. was. good. We also appreciate the privacy that you provided when we came for our food tasting, as we were treated to the private dining room and had every question answered that we threw at them.
Again, our day was perfect, and we owe a lot of that to Hotel Blackhawk.
Thank you for offering a wonderful space to enjoy a party, and a beautiful hotel to rest our heads after we've danced the night away.

She is a professional who takes her job very seriously and that is very hard to find, and we did not take that for granted. Kaitlin and her team offered us the comfort and peace of mind that our reception would be a memorable, relaxing, and a super fun experience. Having a wedding reception in the Gold Room at the Hotel Blackhawk is a very special experience. The elegance of the room is timeless. It is difficult to summarize all the details and the back and forth that went into our planning but the point is that you will have a full service staff ready to make sure each detail of your reception is unique to you. All our guests were extremely happy and wowed by all the amenities and beauty of the hotel. The food was delicious (we recommend going with the Platinum buffet for a 200+ reception) and the staff members were all pleasant, professional, and having a fun time being a part of the celebration. In sum, if you are getting married in the Quad Cities, the Hotel Blackhawk is undoubtedly the premier location for your reception. And as the reputation suggests, you get the quality you pay for and we couldn't be happier with our investment in this cherished, and historic establishment.

Keegan Sent on 12/01/2017My wife and I were married at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Davenport, Iowa, in late October of 2017 and we had the pleasure of booking Hotel Blackhawk for our 150 person reception, guest accommodation, and general "headquarters" for the weekend. Yes, I fully expected our wedding to be a great event but Hotel Blackhawk effectively blew away my expectations. I cannot compliment the staff--including our wedding coordinator, Kaitlin Clevenger--enough. The staff was professional, friendly, prompt, and accommodating. The reception menu was catered to our preferences and the food was delicious. Due to the service, and of course, the beauty of the historic hotel, we continue to get great feedback from our guests about the weekend months after the reception.
Kaitlin went above and beyond for my wife and the entire wedding party throughout the process. Knowing that we had such a sharp, interested wedding coordinator really allowed us (but most importantly, my bride) to enjoy the big day. Our band even made a point to compliment Kaitlin on how great she was to work with.
I simply cannot recommend Hotel Blackhawk enough.

The staff was exceptionally willing to work with our unique request (small area for the wedding ceremony only) and it turned out to be the perfect spot for us. Our pictures were fantastic in the gorgeous new lobby area. In addition, I stayed the night before and my bridesmaids and I got ready in my suite, and my husband and I stayed there on our wedding night. The suite was beautiful and spacious enough for a bunch of girls getting dressed and photographed! -

We were just there to make the food decisions, and we left heavily more informed and confident in how our day will run.
With a mouth full of food they estimated our total number of attending vs invited guest (we were way off) advised our invitations (again, way off) and created a timeline for how our reception will run. They were interested in more than our reception and wedding details, they were interested in us. They had great humor, attention to detail, and the very tastiest risotto. -

Brooke Sent on 08/17/2012We had our wedding in the beautiful Hotel Blackhawk Gold Room. This is an amazing venue for those looking for a big city wedding, in small town Iowa. I currently live in Washington DC and am an Interior Designer, who specializes in hotel design, so venue was extremely important to me as was having the wedding near my family in Iowa. The hotel is amazing and a gorgeous place for your wedding. Not only is the ballroom beautiful but the rooms are gorgeous and well appointed, there is a wonderful restaurant and bar as well as a very fun bowling alley and bar in the basement. We actually had a rehearsal after party in the bowling alley and it was so fun! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone, food, staff and service were all impeccable! -

We found the venue organizer (Kimberlin) and the entire staff exceptionally helpful and personable. There were only small problems along the way, as with any event, and they were all resolved. The entire facility venue including the reception hall and guest rooms were spectacular. -

My husband and I recently got married at the Hotel Blackhawk and everything was perfect! Kimberlin, the wedding planner and social sales manager was excellent. She was professional, helpful, kind and dedicated to making our day special. The hotel was beautiful, the staff were wonderful, the food was delicious and the logistics were handled well. We really loved this venue and would highly recommend. There were a few minor issues which were somewhat as to be expected with a wedding on a holiday weekend. Our only disappointment was the connected bowling and martini lounge which we rented out only had 2/8 operating lanes. Although this was a bummer, we were compensated for this. Very pleased overall with this venue and all who worked to make our day absolutely amazing. -

We do not regret having our reception at the Hotel Blackhawk, and it is a gorgeous hotel and venue. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service that we received and the unresponsive nature of the vendor team. In these COVID times, we switched our reception to this venue last minute, and are grateful that they accommodated us. However, it took weeks to hear back from our hotel contact on multiple occasions, and we frequently asked questions that were never answered or required multiple follow up attempts to get information. That is the primary reason we would not recommend this vendor team.
