Hot Metal Strings was an amazing addition to our wedding ceremony. We hired a string trio and they played both classic songs (think Cannon in D) to modern/contemporary music (Halo by Beyonce) without skipping a beat! We had a bunch of specific requests and they handled them all beautifully!
Maureen was also super responsive via email and great to work with. I highly recommend Hot Metal Strings! -

Maureen and Hot Metal Strings were a lovely addition to our wedding day! They were responsive and communicated well during our planning. On the day itself, they collaborated with the venue and our DJ so that they could play our outdoor ceremony music from indoors - we are so appreciative of their flexibility and quick problem solving! The music was absolutely beautiful and elevated our wedding and cocktail hour. We would absolutely recommend them for your wedding or private event! -

After attending a wedding that had violinist for their ceremony music, we knew we instantly wanted to have the same thing. It gives such a romantic feel to the ceremony. We stumbled upon Hot Metal Strings through a recommendation and we couldn’t be happier! Maureen is so easy to work with, and very responsive! I love that they do modern songs as well as traditional songs. And as a bonus - we asked if they could play Pink Pony Club since it’s my husbands favorite song haha and they did! A little additional fee but well worth it! I heard great things from our guests and it really gave some Bridgerton vibes! Highly recommend -

We hired Hot Metal Strings for our wedding, and not only were our expectations met, but they were far exceeded. The musicians were provided with songs arranged by the groom, and each was performed masterfully. Many of our guests commented afterward that the music made the ceremony incredibly memorable, and for that we are eternally grateful. We would like to thank Hot Metal Strings for their excellent work, their professionalism, and their willingness to adapt to unfamiliar works. -

Amazing music!
These guys are so talented and anyone would be lucky to have them perform at their wedding (or other event!). My fiance and I are both musicians. I have a bachelor’s degree in music. The music was the most important part of our wedding for my husband and myself. We had been to too many wedding’s where we cringed at poor musicianship. That is not something you have to worry about with Hot Metal Strings. They are the real deal. They are well trained, professional, kind, and all around wonderful to work with. When we wanted specific songs, they tracked down the music for us and made our dreams come true. Listening to them play is one of my favorite parts of watching our wedding video. -

We were married on the Grand Staircase at the Allegheny County Courthouse, and we were allowed to add a cello to the existing piano. Hot Metal Strings was able to put together a piano-cello duo for us, and worked with us on music selection that would sound good. The musicians were marvelous and the music sounded beautiful in that space. I’d hire them again in a heartbeat. -

A beautiful addition of Elegance and thoughtfulness
Hot Metal String provided our ceremony and cocktail hour with an element of elegance that was incredible. I received so many compliments on their performance and professionalism. Maureen was incredibly responsive from the start. I decided to throw in a string duo at the very last minute to surprise my fiancé who said he thought it would be cool to have a life violin. Maureen was available and walked me through what would be best for our style and wedding in terms of getting a solo musician or a duo. We went with violin and cello and it was STUNNING. My fiancé was very impressed and pleasantly surprised. I’m also a local wedding planner and truly Hot Metal Strings will always be my #1 recommendation to clients seeking live strong music at their weddings. -

I was beyond blessed to have these amazing and talented people perform at my wedding. Not only were they talented but kind and helpful! During my wedding which was the first time I heard my song they had been practicing for my bridal entrance and it was a huge relief they were playing perfectly and beyond what I could have hoped for! During my cocktail hour they played a beautiful mix of music that I got to enjoy while I had pictures taken. If you are considering getting them to play for any occasion I would say don’t hesitate and book them! Would HIGHLY recommend them! -
