We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Hoosier Grove Barn this past July, and we could not recommend it more. From our first sit down with Vicki to picking up all of our belongings the Sunday after, the process was easy, well communicated, and truly smooth.
We had a fairly large wedding, and the team at Hoosier Grove was able to accommodate us despite being well over their "maximum". We loved the schoolhouse, barn, and having access to the whole property vs. just one room or one building. There was never a doubt in their mind that it would work - and that it did.
Having Vicki 'included' with the venue is such an advantage over other places that we considered. She was fantastic with large decisions like a photographer and caterer as well as little decisions like day-of snacks.
With so many local hotels, restaurants, and things to do around the venue, it was the perfect spot for us with about half the wedding traveling in from Pittsburgh.
Don't even thinking about it, just go see Vicki and Mallory for a first conversation. You won't regret it!Hoosier Grove Barn's reply:

We were thrilled with Hoosier Grove Barn! It's cozy, beautifully decorated, and priced right! Who knew you could have a gorgeous wedding without breaking the bank? So many extras included in the price, like all-wedding-day venue accessibility and a 5-hour premium bar! Vicki, Katie, and all the staff worked hard to make sure my daughter had the perfect day. Accommodating, friendly, and communicative, the Hoosier Grove Barn staff were always happy to answer our questions, give a tour, help plan our decor, and provide vendor suggestions (and they have great vendor suggestions!). When we were bogged down in details, they were the calm in the storm, helping us sort everything out. These people know what they're doing!Hoosier Grove Barn's reply:

Hoosier Barn did an absolutely amazing job. Their staff were professional, organized, and made the entire night feel seamless and stress-free. Everything was so well put together, and they truly went above and beyond to make the night special. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience—highly recommend!

Where “Happily Ever After” Happens
The whole team is great, but Vicki and Jessica were the glue on the day of. They made sure everything ran smoothly and during the process Vicki made allllllll my dream come true- I chose to do some of my own things and she made sure I had everything I needed if I was missing something on the day of. They were nice, funny and knowledgeable the whole time. I appreciate their willingness to go above and beyond. Such a great venue for the price and everything is worth it. Looooove the relationships they have with the vendors- it made everything run 10x smoother and stress free. Would choose this place 100 times over.Hoosier Grove Barn's reply:

Magically Romantic
From the moment our daughter toured Hoosier Barn with Vicki, she knew it was where she wanted to celebrate her happily ever after!
The space is beautiful. The property lends itself to amazing photos. The team is wonderful to work with. Very responsive. They had a great list for suggested vendors. Many whom we used and were very pleased. When we wanted to have a surprise for the bride and groom, Vicki went above and beyond to help us pull it off! Great Event at Hoosier Grove Barn

Wedding Review
Hoosier Grove was the best choice in backdrop for our special day! The venue is absolutely stunning, the staff are extremely present, professional, and kind. The options of venue space and reception layout are endless. We worked really closely with Vicki and Jessica was our day of coordinator. They both were so great and helped so much! Vicki was there to answer any and all questions we had leading up to the wedding and Jessica/ Hoosier Grove Staff made sure everything executed perfectly, they even calmed the Bride's nerves prior to ceremony. I can't recommend enough how beautiful the venue is. We planned to have our ceremony in their garden but the Midwest, being the Midwest decided to be extremely chilly the day of. Hoosier Grove effortlessly transitioned from plan A to plan B. We ended up having our ceremony inside their charming schoolhouse. It was very intimate and perfect! Everyone left our wedding with their belly's full, a little under the influence, and smiles on their faces. That is all we could ask for and Hoosier Grove played a HUGE role in making that happen! -

From the start of planning I knew I was in the right place. Mallory sat us up with Vicki who helped me plan every detail and aspect of our wedding day from the decor, colors, first prayer, theme and vendors!! The venue has so many decor options in site to choose from. They have a realistic budget schedule. Everyone was so accommodating within reason. They even had a wedding Expo to work with local vendors and receive discounts. They schedule time with each of your vendors to help the day run smooth. There aren’t enough words in my vocabulary to explain how happy my husband and I are that we chose Hoosier Grove Barn as our wedding venue. This was the only venue that we toured, because within the first few minutes, we knew that it was perfect for us. Mallory answered all of our questions during the tour, and when it was over, we were so excited to sign our contract and make it official. Over the course of the planning process, our wedding coordinator, Vicki, did an amazing job of touching base with us and making sure that we were on the right track with what we needed to get done. She always got back to us so quickly whenever we had questions or concerns, which made us feel so at ease when our wedding day finally arrived. Our wedding rehearsal beforehand was very structured, and our entire wedding party knew exactly what their roles were and where they needed to be, thanks to Vicki’s organization, knowledge, and experience. Our wedding day went effortlessly and flawlessly thanks to Vicki and the rest of the staff, and I never felt like I had to worry at all. I could gush about Hoosier Grove Barn endlessly, and if you’re looking for the perfect place to have a wedding, you’ve found it! We’ll remember our wedding here for the rest of our lives! Hoosier Grove Barn is a beautiful venue with a very capable team that takes the stress out of your event planning. The event planner for the venu, Vicki, is extremely professional and helpful. She made suggestions when asked, provided guidance when needed and gave me a detailed road map to plan the event. Having never had to plan an event before at this scale by myself, I felt extremely happy to have her guide me through this entire process. The rest of the staff was also forthcoming and extremely helpful during the event.
The venue itself is a hidden gem! Such a beautiful venue, unlike many others I explored and it fitted my need for an intimate event. Everyone enjoyed the outdoors and the indoors and had a lovely time. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to celebrate an event in a heartbeat. -

Dreams do come true!
I got married in March and Hoosier Grove Barn made my dream truly come true! During the process of planning our wedding day, Hoosier Grove staff had wonderful ideas and helped me and my husband plan our day exactly as we envisioned. The venue had a perfect space for me and my bridal party to get ready at. I can’t even begin to express how thankful I was for how flexible the staff was with last minute decisions and ideas. We ended up having the ceremony and reception in the same place, and Hoosier Grove Barn made the transition seamless. When wedding venue shopping, we looked at a few barn venues and Hoosier Grove Barn took the cake. It offered not only the desirable barn space, but also an old schoolhouse and farmhouse, all in one location! They provided a list of vendors for every area of a wedding we needed, and all the vendors we used from the list were amazing. Vicki and her team made the wedding as smooth as it could’ve possibly went. From set up to take down, everyone was extremely helpful. Our guests had nothing but nice things to say about our bartender, Brian. He remembered people’s drink orders as they went to the bar. Our host, Amy, helped navigate my two year old son, who was our ring bearer, during the entrance to our ceremony. She also took great care of my wheelchair-bound grandmother during our reception. The entire team helped put together a day/night that we will remember forever. I highly recommend Hoosier Grove Barn to anyone looking for a wedding venue!Hoosier Grove Barn's reply:

These ladies were INCREDIBLE. Not only is the venue breathtaking and super photographically stunning, but the team seem to truly love putting weddings together. Everyone was incredibly responsive and professional and did their best to accomplish everything I asked for (signature drinks, decorations, photos, etc). They never made me feel like I was being a pain when I would ask dozens of questions at a time via email, and they got back to me ASAP. Day of, Vicki was a true pro and I didn't have to do ANYTHING but enjoy. I STRONGLY suggest the fire pit! My hubby and I ordered personalized marshmallows with our faces, and the guests loved making smores. The venue has an incredible amount of decorations that are very affordable for use and already fit the venue style. If you love the look of th place, book it! our favorite day!!
we had a wonderful experience with hoosier grove barn! our favorite thing about the venue was being able to have parts of our wedding both indoors and outdoors! the garden space was stunning for our ceremony and felt very quaint, and we loved the charming rustic feeling of the barn. we also loved having a space to get ready and the room was big enough for all 10 people! we got the total decor package and loved how everything turned out and it made it much easier for us to set up and tear down.
every staff working the event was very friendly and attentive to us! we felt the day went very smoothly and we only learned about minor mishaps after the fact! we wish we remembered to announce our fire pit because only a few guests knew about it since it was outside the barn. big shout out to mallory for helping us with hanging up our arch flowers, our coordinator katie for keeping us on time, vicki for helping with the planning and decor, and tricia and vicki for all of their help at the reception! -

We got married at Hoosier Grove Barn 8/25/23 (4 days ago) and I cannot get over this venue. My guests are still talking about the venue/staff and barn. HIGHLY recommend this venue, incredible drink package. The bartenders made incredible drinks (we had a signature cocktail Paloma and Wisconsin Old Fashioned) and our guests said they were some of the best drinks they've ever had. Vicki was incredible throughout the planning process and you can absolutely tell her experience shines through. She made our wedding dreams come true and was so responsive to our requests. We had our ceremony in the garden which was STUNNING! Cocktail hour was on the campus lawn complete with corn hole and jenga. Reception was in the barn and it is just stunning, the decor that comes with the barn is magical. We had our hotel block in Chicago and hired a charter bus to take guests out so you guys can have it all too! Can't say enough about HGB. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! -

Absolutely looooooove Hoosier! We just had our wedding there May 26th, and everyone is nonstop talking about it. Everyone had a blast! Katie was amazing! Took care of everything! I didn't feel a single ounce of stress! The whole team is great. From the early stages of planning with Vicky, to the actual day of the wedding with Katie. Completely flawless. I would plan my wedding again with them if I could! LOL

Beautiful venue with an awesome staff
Hoosier Grover Barn was the final venue my husband and I visited and we knew right away it was going to be the space for us.
We were looking for an unique space that was not your typical banquet hall. Not only did we love the natural wood and warm lighting of the reception space (the barn), we loved that there were a variety of spaces throughout the campus that we could use to make sure our day flowed seamlessly. The best part was--the entire space would be available for just us--no other events would be taking place during our special day.
Given everything that was already included, we did not feel like we needed to spend a large amount on additional decor. The garden space was very pretty by itself but we added florals to tie all our spaces together and rented the arch from the HGB team. We would have had the cocktail hour outside on the patio but the weather did not cooperate so we moved everything inside. That being said, the HGB team had plenty of high-boys and seating plans to accommodate guests outside. We held the reception in the barn which has plenty of warm lighting, drapery, and the natural wood gave it a beautiful look. All seating, tables, linens were provided by HGB.
One of the other reasons we decided to go with HGB is the bar package. It was super reasonable in price given the numbers of guests and it was a major bonus to have one less thing worry about when we would be bringing in everything else. Yes, this is one of those places where you have to find a caterer to come in separately but the coordinator we worked with, Vicki, and her team, were sure to connect with them and all the other vendors and helped make sure everyone knew what they needed from HGB, when to show up and where to go.
As with any wedding, there are always changes and Vicki and the HGB team were always flexible and accommodating to our ideas and desires. We communicated frequently via email and scheduled a few in-person meetings to make sure we were all on the same page--these meetings were so appreciated! The day of the wedding, we made the decision to move the cocktail hour indoors given the weather and to light the fire pits (yes, firepits!) a bit earlier since it was so cold. It was no problem for Vicki and team!
A few other bonuses about this place--the elevator made it easy for my grandma to get around, the surrounding park made for great photos, the fact that could pick up decor the next day, and the customizable marquee all helped to seal the deal.
Overall, we loved this space and the team. Again, shout out to Vicki for getting us to the finish line, Colleen who made sure I had everything I needed and that I enjoyed myself as the bride, Rio who was the first person we saw the day of the wedding and made us feel like we were in good hands, and the bartenders who I KNOW were busy all night and kept the drinks flowing.
If you want a one-of-a kind place with an awesome bar package that is just for you and your guests, get to Hoosier Grove Barn. I am hoping I get to visit as a guest someday soon! -

Just had my wedding this past Friday and I have to say the first right choice…after saying yes to my handsome guy…was booking this venue. The day we met with Vickie we decided this was the place for us, not only was the venue absolutely beautiful and well maintained, but the love for the place the employees had for it definitely showed in their tour. First time bride and no clue what I was doing, Vickie held my hand through everything, every vendor she recommended was amazing, her bartenders and event staff went above and beyond anything I could have expected. The time and detail they put into our day (including the motorcycle earrings Vickie wore for us) made the entire thing go off without a hitch and the only thing I had to stress about was kissing in front of so many people LOL I can’t thank Vickie and the Hoosier Barn staff enough for making our wedding the best day ever!! -

Amazing rustic yet beautiful venue!
STOP LOOKING if you are want a unique venue full of rustic charm, great service and personality! Not to mention, a staff who know what they are doing and will get it done! We had my daughters wedding here a week ago and I can’t stop raving about Hoosier Grove Barn! Vicki our coordinator (included in the price!) is a PRO - she has seen it all but remains open to new ideas! Her crew were on top of all of our guests needs, helping the caterers and making sure the tables were cleared etc. we had a beautiful day with ideal weather - ceremony was outside and cocktail hour too. Dinner and dancing were inside. It made it so fun to utilize all areas of the campus. We even had a bag game and giant jenga set up and they were fully used. Thank you
Hoosier Grove Barn for a truly memorable and beautiful day! Oh and listen to them when they make recommendations for caterer and DJ - they know who is best and works well at the venue. Shout out to Relish Catering and MC Pro DJ - Ryan Runnion! Both are top notch! -

We got married at HGB on 12/10/21 - we could NOT BE HAPPIER with our choice of venue. From the moment we toured the venue with Mallory and then being assigned to Vicki - everyone was incredible. They went above and beyond and made our day one that I never thought was possible. The price point you just can not be beat to begin with. The grounds are beautiful, the barn is beautiful, the bar package is insane, but its the staff that make it everything. I can not say enough good things. Vicki, day of coordinator, communicated with daily starting weeks out making sure everything was set and perfect. She never missed a mark, & was dedicated to our day 100%. Everyone was so impressed. She had Colleen step in after our ceremony for the reception nd she was just as incredible. Seriously if you are thinking of HGB for your wedding - book it now you will not regret it one bit - our guests are still talking about how wonderful everything was!!! -

We are so happy that we chose Hoosier Grove Barn to host our wedding! The staff was incredible - from the event coordinator to the bartender and the set up/clean up crew. Being a postponed Covid wedding, the team was vey accommodating, responsive, coordinated with our other vendors, and made sure that all of our needs were taken care. Our guests were very impressed with the grounds, as well as how fast service was. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and we highly recommend this venue. Vicki mallory and team were so so fabulous for our July 30th 2021 wedding.
They stuck with us through rescheduling due to covid and were so supportive in helping navigate all the crazy restrictions.
Vicki made sure everything was taken care of day of and allowed me and my husband to truly enjoy the day.
The HGB team knows what they’re doing.
The garden space where we had our ceremony was absolutely gorgeous. I loved how flexible the team was to allow us to do almost anything our hearts could imagine when it came to day of.
The barn is such a cozy place and was the perfect size for our 90 person wedding.

Where do we even begin?
EVERYBODY should have their weddings and other events at Hoosier Grove Barn!! From the day we signed the contract until the last guest left at the end of the night, the whole process was absolutely incredible. Vicki Dalka worked with us to ensure we had the wedding of our dreams and thanks to her excellent job of communicating, coordinating, and ability to create exactly what we were looking for in our big day. There are not enough words to convey how amazing of a job she did, along with the rest of her staff. Thanks to Hoosier, Vicki, and her wonderful staff, our wedding day was the best, funnest, and happiest day of our lives (so far!)
We can't stress enough how amazing this venue is. The campus is beautiful, the wedding package is an amazing deal, and if we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing. Thank you Hoosier for making our wedding day everything we could have dreamed for. -

HGB is a combination of an affordable wedding reception venue and excellent client centered service. The whole place is beautiful and accessible and we did have fun entertaining guests on 3 areas that we used. To the whole HGB staff, thank you for being so amazing to us, we truly appreciate you all. Also, my husband and I would like to give a shout out and a warm virtual hug to our chaos coordinator and fairy godmother, Vicki. She is wonderful to work with since the 1st time we spoke. She understood our vision and was able to successfully assisted us on our wedding reception. And we are so happy that we got to spend our wedding reception at HGB. I cannot recommend this venue strongly enough. When you see the pictures, you will understand how charming this venue is for weddings. What you won’t see is just how amazing the staff is. Our experience working with Vicki was beyond great. She was so knowledgeable and was always happy to meet with my mom and I when we wanted to discussion plans and visit the barn. I cannot imagine the day of our wedding being any more perfect or running more smoothly. The whole entire staff was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our day fantastic. The staff will do whatever they can to make your day perfect. For example, I love iced tea, but not sweetened. The Barn usually only makes sweetened tea, but the staff found out, and made a special batch of unsweetened iced tea just for me. Not only that, but I never came back to my table to find an empty glass! Do not think twice. Book your wedding here now! You will not regret it. When looking for a venue for our wedding, we just so happen to Google places near us and Hoosier Grove Barn was the top of the search. We knew instantly this was the place for us after our visit. Vicki was super helpful and did everything to make our day everything we wanted and more. We originally were going to have an outdoor ceremony, but the weather didn't cooperate with us, so we ended up in the school house. Vicki and Mallory decorated and placed candles to match our theme. As soon as my now husband and I toured HGB during our wedding venue search, we knew we found the place that we wanted hosting our big day. The grounds are beautiful - we loved the history behind it all and how well maintained it was. The Barn itself is absolutely stunning, we loved the decor that is left up permanently and loved that it meant our decor and details could be kept simple. The staff is a BLESSING - especially Vicki, on the days leading up to our COVID-postponed wedding she was responsive and made sure to go above and beyond to make sure the day was perfect. Her dedication did not stop there - she came to the venue early on Sunday morning to weed-whack since the Streamwood Park District did not (and the weeds in the sidewalks weren't the greatest), left to supply us more orange juice after our bridal party wiped out their supply, and even had her husband bring THEIR bag set from home after not being able to locate the set that the barn supplies. We were OVERWHELMED by the support, assistance, and genuine care that we felt by everyone, especially Vicki in those last few days/hours.
We would recommend Hoosier Grove Barn to anyone looking for a rustic/barn-themed venue to host any event. We promise, you will not be disappointed!Hoosier Grove Barn's reply:

I cannot say enough good things about Hoosier Grove Barn! HGB was the first and only venue my husband and I looked at to book and it was the best decision we could have made! HGB made our wedding day the best day of our lives so far. I couldn't have asked for better more attentive staff. Mallory was amazing to work with throughout the planning process and day of! A Perfect Wedding Day
I just had my wedding at Hoosier Grove Barn and all I can say is that it was pure perfection. Everything about the day, the staff and the venue was as perfect as it could. I would change nothing about my experience planning and hosting my wedding at Hoosier Grove Barn.
The venue was absolutely gorgeous. The staff was amazing. Mallory jumped in to help with so much more than I had expected her to. Our poor planning and frazzled nerves meant she had to help a bit with making sure everything flowed. Mallory downloaded the song I walked down the aisle to when our plans didn't work out. Mallory and her assistant set up our dessert table for us. Mallory and the rest of the Hoosier Grove staff made sure that everything was taken care of and our wedding was as stress free as possible.
The bartenders were fantastic. The selection of alcohol that came with the standard package was great.

They worked with us and our vision and executed the perfect wedding. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and there were endless opportunities! I was able to use all locations on sites for photos and was married in the beautiful garden! I cannot say anything bad about my experience and would highly recommend this venue to anyone! I will forever be grateful to this venue and staff!

Mallory goes above and beyond the responsibilities of a day of event coordinator and truly will do anything in her power to make your day the most amazing day of your lives. Our wedding was VERY DIY and when we booked the venue a little less than a year out from our wedding date we had NO IDEA the amount of prep we had signed ourselves up for. Mallory held our hand through early planning steps and truly was a Godsend to have around in the weeks leading up to the big day (PRICELESS to have there ON our wedding day). She was instrumental in guiding our family and friends who were helping us out with decorations and dj-ing through the process of putting on our wedding, and her staff was no less amazing. We got nothing but constant compliments about how well put together everything was and how beautiful the property and the barn were.
Aside from INCREDIBLE SERVICE and STAFF, Hoosier Grove Barn was by far THE BEST VALUE for a rustic-modern barn style wedding in the Chicago Area. You would be hard-pressed to find another venue of this caliber that provides everything they do for their price point. Don't be fooled by their website, go visit them in person and I assure you, you will book it on the spot like we did.
100% best choice we made for our wedding was to start by booking Hoosier Grove Barn! -

Stacey Sent on 08/02/2018My husband and I cannot even begin to say in words how great our wedding turned out at Hoosier Grove Barn. From our first visit and meeting with Vicki, we knew this was a venue that would go above and beyond to make sure our day was exactly how we pictured it. Every subsequent visit, we grew more and more confident in the staff and our choice in venue. The venue itself is gorgeous - especially in the Spring and Summer. We enjoyed the option of having dinner in a tent to not only allow us to have a larger wedding, but to make use of all the space Hoosier has to offer. We used a lot of the vendors suggested by the Hoosier Grove and could not have been happier with our choices. The staff at Hoosier Grove Barn seemed to have very good relationships with all vendors making the day go seamless. Hoosier Grove provided an excellent liquor package that all of our guests enjoyed. There are many places to take pictures at the venue making it easy to get all of our bride/groom portraits, wedding party pictures, and family pictures done all before our ceremony. We got married in front of the schoolhouse steps. The staff at Hoosier set all the chairs up, moved the chairs from the ceremony to the tent, then even took down all the tables/chairs under the tent while we were dancing. It definitely made cleaning up at the end of the night a little less stressful! The communication with Hoosier was great. Both Mallory and Vicki were great people to work with. The day of, both knew what was going on and were great to have around to help coordinate the vendors and get all the decorations to where they should be. The venue is all very clean. We had no mishaps, dirty linens, or major surprises the day of the wedding. All of our guests had the best time and we heard no complaints from anyone. We would 100% recommend this venue to host your wedding or event!

The service provided is simply outstanding and the setting is timeless. Our guests have not stopped mentioned how this was one of the nicest weddings they have ever been to. Mallory was our AMAZING wedding coordinator. She was professional, patient, and extremely knowledgeable when it came to planning our event. From start to finish, she was there every step of the way. We were so lucky to have her. I highly recommend every wedding couple looking for a unique and intimate venue take a look at the Hoosier Grove Barn!

Erin Sent on 09/25/2017We got married at Hoosier Grove on September 2, 2017. Our wedding day went so smoothly thanks to the helpful staff who were on top of things all day. We received many compliments from our guests about how friendly and helpful all the staff members were. From the wedding coordinators, to the bartenders, and the custodial staff- they were all wonderful! We ultimately decided on having our wedding here due to the great price and everything that is included in that price. We realized how good of a deal it was after doing our research on similar venues. The only cons of this venue is that the actual barn doesn't hold that many for the dinner portion so if you are planning on having over 100 guests you will have to purchase a tent as well. Also, since our wedding was on a Saturday, we didn't have the option to decorate the night before so, that all had to be done all the morning of which was a little hectic. However, we were made fully aware that that would be the situation before booking so there were no surprises. It was also nice that my bridesmaids and I were able to get ready in the loft area where I was able to oversee the decorating and everything. Overall, the entire day was beautiful and we had a blast!

I can't say enough about Hoosier Grove Barn. From the time we stepped foot inside for our first meeting and tour, we just knew and booked on the spot. Leslie and Elisha are amazing and patient and they help with any questions you may have. Elisha responds to e-mails in a timely manner, gets you the answers you need no matter how crazy of a question and is so hands on day of wedding. Our Wedding went so smooth, I wouldn't have changed a thing. The grounds are kept so nice and the venue has so many wonderful photo ops. We had roughly 90 people and they just fit perfectly inside the school house and Barn. I am only married 2 weeks and I miss the process of working with Hoosier already! I will forever be grateful.
