The florals from Shelley were nothing short of magical. Every arrangement felt intentional, lush, and organic. Even though we were a much smaller event than is typical for her and her team, she very responsive, listened to our vision, and created absolutely stunning arrangements. We brought them home with us a week later and people were still complimenting them! We feel so lucky we were able to work with her! -

When I began planning my own wedding, I had a very personal connection and love for flowers. Our dark, moody, Viking-inspired wedding called for something unique, sexy and memorable, and Honeysuckle Events took that vision and turned it into a masterpiece. From the start of my planning process, Shelley was so in tune with my vision and requests. Her attention to detail on the initial proposal captured the color scheme and floral selections perfectly. She also provided such valuable creative insight that helped elevate the initial ideas and had me (and all of my guests) in awe when I saw them on my wedding day. The quality of the products she procured combined with her meticulous eye for color and design made this a truly unique work of art. Our ceremony pieces (and my bouquet in particular) were a dream. I still have guests raving about the beautiful tablescapes and fruit that was incorporated into the design. 10 of out 10 would absolutely recommend Honeysuckle to any bride(s)/groom(s) looking to paint their wedding a work of floral art. -

Our daughter’s wedding flowers and reception decor were absolutely stunning! Shelley has a special talent and I highly recommend her. She is professional, creative, and friendly. Her flower combinations are beautiful and unique. Everyone was talking about how gorgeous the flowers were! I am so glad we found Honeysuckle Events. Wow is an understatement. -

Working with Honeysuckle is easy, breezy, beautiful. She is an absolute pro and made our lives so easy throughout the design process! She worked so well with our wedding planner, Ashley from Southern Hospitality, to design the wedding of our dreams. She had so many ideas and unique touches that really brought our wedding to life. I knew I wanted wildflowers and books and gold accents, but it was hard for me to visualize what that looked like, and she created something above and beyond all of the Pinterest photos that I scoured. She made our wedding feel unique, stylish, and sophisticated. It was literally something out of a dream. On top of this, her floral arrangements are BREATHTAKING! When she brought my wedding bouquet, I literally said – “Wow! You took my personality and put it into a bouquet!” But she did this with everything, from the seating arrangement to the table décor to the chandelier florals, and all of our guests complimented the stunning design and personal touches. Shelley, thank you SOOO much for going above and beyond to make our wedding beautiful! You are one of a kind!! -

Honeysuckle Events was amazing to work. My wedding planner worked closely with Shelley and she created a true VISION!! I had so many random ideas and so many visions that I couldn't put into words but Shelley helped bring it all to life. From my table decor, my ceiling center piece, my bouquet, EVERYTHING was more than I could have dreamed of. Thank you, Shelley!! We so appreciate all of the work you put into our wedding day. Every little detail was perfect. -

Stunning florals & amazing human!
Shelley is so incredibly talented! Her eye for aesthetic is second to none - she’s able to capture trend as well as creating classic, cohesive spaces that are absolutely stunning. It was like hitting the easy button working with her. She did everything she could to help me stay in my budget by suggesting certain levels of fullness in bigger arrangements and dual-purposing what we could without sacrificing the impact the florals and greenery made. She was also able to pivot some pretty big things when we had to change the location of basically everything due to a major hurricane 🙃
The quality of both the rentals and florals (and human) were top notch and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you Shelley!! -

Honeysuckle Events was truly one of a kind. My wedding planner worked closely with Shelley and Shelley understood completely my vision. I would send random thoughts and ideas with no idea how to create them, and Shelley created them! She truly put her heart and soul into our wedding and I am so grateful. From the table decor to the ceremony arch to the disco ball centerpiece, Shelley has a vision and knows how to execute it. I highly recommend Honeysuckle events. -

Shelley absolutely nailed my wedding vision. I requested soft pink florals, whites, creams, and lots of candlelight. She created so many beautiful moments throughout our venue -- I could not have asked for more! I highly recommend Honeysuckle!!! -

Beautiful arrangements for our church-to-beach wedding
Tl; dr: Everything was beautiful and the process was pretty smooth (during covid-19).
Shelley helped make our wedding feel as beachy, minimal, whimsical, chic, and romantic as you can when combining all of those "vibes". The bridal bouquet was a mix of dried and fresh flowers and foliage, and she managed to source everything we wanted (during the June 2021-pandemic shortages). Shelley did a great job balancing dried and fresh so that nothing looked dead, just neutral and light. The main table arrangement was amazing and so unique. She has vases that aren't your standard, boring, run-of-the-mill. She also made a beautiful dried floral headpiece, almost a half-crown for the back of my head. We contacted her at the beginning of wedding season, so sometimes communication was delayed, but not so long that we were ever worried. Delivery day of went smoothly despite the impending hurricane and some flooded roads. Shelley was accommodating and wrapped my bouquet, the mothers' bouquets, and the boutonnieres with silk ribbon I brought. -

Shelley was incredible to work with during our planning process. Her attention to detail and organization were topnotch. We were married in October 2020 and ended up changing our venue and having a smaller wedding due to our state's restrictions. Shelley was understanding and flexible throughout the entire process. The flowers were incredibly stunning and blew everyone away! We would highly recommend Honeysuckle Events to anyone looking for a florist. -

I had an incredible experience working with Shelley with Honeysuckle Events! She is a talented artist and so skilled at what she does. She was the first decor/design vendor that I started working with and she was able to take my vision and bring it to life in ways I never thought would be possible!! We spoke about the style, colors, and theme of what I was looking for and she prepared a really organized, detailed proposal that I was able to use to show other decor vendors so that all of the colors and styles matched. She went above and beyond to stay within my budget and help me get the most out what I was willing to spend.
I was BREATHLESS when I saw our alter that she decorated!! It was better than anything I could have ever dreamed of. She also accommodated a last minute request I had in my bridal bouquet a few weeks before the wedding and gifted me a bouquet to represent my mother that had passed away.
She was able to repurpose flowers from the ceremony to the reception and everything was absolutely stunning. I could not recommend Shelley enough!!! I would book 10000000 times over!! -

Five-million gold stars for Shelley at Honeysuckle Events. I literally do not have words for how amazing the flowers at my wedding were. We had a baja surf-desert theme for our wedding and Shelley just crushed it with all of the flowers, from my bouquet, to the ceremony features, and the reception table and flower design -- everything was somehow even better than I had imagined. I didn't want really any roses, and so Shelley instead opted for really unique and colorful flowers with grass and palm accents. She also found the most amazing table runners that fit perfectly with the theme and had beautiful terracotta vases and plates to number the tables with. She also made individual succulents for everyone to take home which the guests loved, and found maracas for the flower girls to carry and had them surprised inscribed with our names and date. Shelley was professional to work with, organized, clear on pricing, and super creative with excellent taste. Loved, loved, loved it all!! -

Stunning flower arrangements!
Shelley is truly an artist and creates the most beautiful flower arrangements! For my wedding, I gave Shelley a general idea of the colors and what I wanted my flowers to look like, and what she created was just stunning! She truly listened to what I wanted and included some of my favorite flowers. Our wedding was very small and I was concerned about the cost of the flowers. Shelley was so flexible and recommended saving money by using the bridesmaids' flowers as centerpieces. While other florists would have charged me more money for extra centerpieces, Shelley was honest and was willing to work with our budget. -

As an event rentals vendor I love working with her because she truly is a visionary when it comes to creating a unique and original look. From bouquets, to ceremony design and installations she does it all and has such a beautiful execution. Any bride would be lucky to have this wonderful lady supplying flowers to their event.

I wanted simple, tropical foliage with the main star being the greenery and she totally nailed it. She’s super easy to work with and personable. I can’t say enough nice things about her! Katie Sent on 01/11/2018She was born with it - true talent! The one thing that made me cry about my wedding was that I couldn't keep my flowers forever. I stared at them every chance I could for the week after and was heartbroken when it had to end. Shelley was an absolute dream. She was professional, organized, responsive, creative, and just plain easy. I had very high expectations for flowers with a lower budget and she just blew it out of the water. My guest talked about the decor for weeks afterwards, saying how it was the most stunning wedding had they ever been to and I couldn't agree more. Shelley's work has really ignited a new found appreciation for flowers for me. I will remember my wedding flowers forever. Thank you!!!

Shannon Sent on 12/10/2017Where do I even start? Honeysuckle (Shelley) deserves the highest rating you can possibly give. We just got married in October, a small and intimate destination wedding in Kill Devil Hills. We actually had another florist booked for more than a year but when it came down to it we just weren't happy with the service they were providing which had us in a panic. Our wedding planners (Coastyle Weddings and Events) told us not to worry, they knew the perfect one for us, and boy were they not kidding. Shelley of Honeysuckle made our dreams come true! We talked to Shelley maybe a total of 5 or 6 times going back and forth on what we had dreamt up for our flowers and decor and she came back to us with the most amazing proposal. The kind that lets you really see that she was understanding what you wanted. We also let her tell us what she thought was best as I'm no flower guru myself and needed some help making it come together. Well, Shelley absolutely BLEW US AWAY on our wedding day. Her design and attention to every.single.little.detail. was incredible. My dad continues to talk about how he can't believe one person put all of it together in just the few hours she had to set up and thought it was amazing how she didn't just put things where they were supposed to go, she would put it out, re-do it, look at it, not like it and re-do it again until it was perfect! Not to mention everyone seeing our photos and the first thing they say is "oh my gosh the flowers!!!!" From the ceremony, to the table details and everything in between she did the most amazing job. 5 to 6 emails is all it took and Shelley totally transformed our wedding... we could not be happier that we chose Honeysuckle Events as our floral designer!

Rhonda Sent on 04/23/2015Honeysuckle events did my wedding flowers on short notice. I had planned to do my own flowers for my wedding but had a last minute change of heart. I contacted several vendors however, Shelley came through with the best price and did an AMAZING JOB! She created 4 bridesmaids bouquets, my bridal bouquet, and some loose white hydrangea stems for mason jars for the reception tables. They were everything I had envisioned and then some. I requested a variety of pale peonies, hydrangeas, roses, etc. I wanted something very soft and pale to offset my bridesmaid's navy dresses. Shelley is a true talent!!! I highly recommend her for floral for your wedding! -
