Best Venue Ever

As a wedding planner, I work at many venues and I honestly cannot say enough great things about Holman Ranch and their entire team! Not only is it a stunning property, but the staff and their attention to detail is unmatched. They make the planning experience for both myself and my clients, an absolute breeze. Exceptional & Unforgettable Wedding Weekend

We were married at Holman Ranch this past May and had our rehearsal dinner / welcome reception at the Tasting Room. The staff and event team at Holman made us feel like family since day one of planning & went above and beyond every step of the way to make our event a success. The service and attention given to us, not only in the days leading up to the wedding weekend, but since the day we booked the venue exceeded every expectation we had. We booked the venue for a long weekend (Thursday-Sunday) and cannot recommend it enough as a place to relax & spend quality time with all of our loved ones. Our family and friends are still raving about how special, beautiful, and memorable the weekend was! Look no further - this venue is truly a one-of-a-kind place that you can cherish & revisit for years to come.

A touch of WOW!

A simple but appropriate WOW will do -- Holman Ranch exceeded our expectations as the venue of our dreams. The staff was incredibly professional, every view at this venue was heavenly, and all we (and our guests) were stunned at how wonderful our day was at Holman Ranch. Simply perfect!

Absolutely stunning venue! The entire Holman staff and coordinators were amazing and super responsive to all questions and emails. Victoria was so great to work with and helped ensure our big day was absolutely perfect. The onsite rooms and facilities were top notch and it was great to be able to stay onsite (bridal party included) the whole weekend. Everything from the getting ready rooms (the bridal suite was GORGEOUS) and the kitchen were well used by our group. We could not have asked for a more convenient or beautiful venue for our wedding!

Amazing wedding venue

Our experience with Holman Ranch went above and beyond our expectations. We are so happy we were able to get married here.

First, the venue itself is just stunning. I still can't believe how beautiful everything was on our wedding day with the flowers blooming all over and the mountains in the background - everything truly felt like a dream.

Second, the staff is excellent. I worked primarily with Maddie who was really friendly, helpful and patient with us throughout the process. All of our questions were met with quick and clear responses, which made the planning process with Holman Ranch really easy.

Overall, we couldn't have been happier with our experience and highly recommend Holman Ranch!

The most beautiful wedding venue ever!

We had our wedding on June 2nd 2019 on a Sunday and our guests kept telling us it was THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WEDDING they have ever attended!! I am more than pleased that we picked Holman Ranch as our wedding venue.

Maddie is so friendly and easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. She sends you photos and replies to all your questions. She showed my parents, my fiance, and I the venue multiple times at different visits and she was informative and hospitable each time.

The venue was a little out of our budget, but the ala carte Sunday was so worth it especially because the venue and view are breathtaking and it will be an unforgettable wedding not just for you but also your guests!! The venue comes with furniture, heat lamps, fire pits, lighting etc, so I felt like it was totally worth the price!! And honestly the venue is soooo beautiful that you don't need much flowers or decorations. Also you get to utilize the bridal and groom suites when you arrive on property, which is perfect to put your dress on and for photos.
Your guests even get shuttled on golf carts that go through the vineyards and guests complimented the amazing view. The bride and groom even get shuttled to beautiful hilltop views for sunset photos and our wedding photographer was even taken aback by how beautiful the views were!

On the wedding day, the ceremony lawn had so many lush colorful flowers for June! The rose garden is so romantic and rustic for the reception. The carriage house was perfect for guests to dance to, but could also hang out near it in the lounge area. Everything is close enough proximity so that your guests aren't completely scattered. I would book this venue all over again and holman ranch made it such a memorable wedding day for my husband and I!!

This is the perfect venue for those who want something other than a nicely decorated hall! It is a little more difficult to plan here, so a wedding coordinator is a must! However, the uniqueness and beautiful location is worth every cent. We had the wedding of our dreams here and could not ask for more!

Holman Ranch is a truly magical place to get married and the team there is Top Notch; especially Fallon and Kyle who were my trusty guides during the process. Holman Ranch is not the easiest as far as their requirements and policies, but it is well worth the extra effort and expense, and the team was lovely as far as answering my questions and guiding me through the process. Almost all of my guests said that it was the best venue that they had ever been to, and I absolutely agree. I am so happy that we were lucky enough to get married in this perfect place.

I am a wedding planner and I was just blown away at how organized and helpful Kyle and everyone else at this venue. They were there to help with a smile every step of the way. If you are a bride looking for a venue I highly recommend this location. It is breathe taking and the staff at Holman Ranch is a joy to work with. I hope that I get more brides that book this venue because I am looking forward to working with the superb staff at Holman Ranch.

We did the full weekend package, and couldn't recommend it more highly. The team at Holman is wonderful - very responsive, helped with anything we needed, and were such a pleasure to work with. The ranch itself is so beautiful - so many of our guests told us it was the most beautiful wedding they've ever been to, and it's because the ranch itself is so incredible. Staying on the ranch was a treat - the rooms are lovely, breakfast was excellent, and we were taken very good care of by the staff. We had a great experience with everyone at Holman, and could not have been happier with the ranch!

After seeing Holman Ranch online and on Instagram for years, when I got engaged, I knew we needed to check it out as a potential venue! It was the first venue we visited and after our tour, we were completely sold. There was no reason to look elsewhere. The view is absolutely STUNNING, but we were also taken by the beautiful buildings, the fact that the entire wedding could take place at the same location (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing reception), and the friendliness of the Holman staff. We booked Holman shortly after our first visit and my entire family is SO glad that we did!

Our wedding was mid-September, and though extremely hot (96!) the day was flawless. The staff was so helpful, kind, and new exactly what they were doing. The best part was, I didn't even know they were there, yet everything ran perfectly. From set up to tear down, my parents felt taken care of. Nick and Hunter, the owners, have been great to work with and we are so appreciative of their kindness through our wedding planning process.

Everyone kept telling us our wedding felt like a movie with the gorgeous scenery! Guests also loved the wine. One of my favorite aspects of the wedding, as mentioned above, is that the entire day was on one property, but guests still got to move around the property for the different activities. There was enough for our guests to do and see, without it being too big or overwhelming. Our wedding was on a Sunday, so we got to be on the property at 2pm. Ceremony was at 4pm. I was worried that wouldn't be enough time to get it all set up, but it was! With the help of the Holman Ranch staff and our wedding planner, everything was perfect. Since it was on a Sunday, our family was able to stay over in the guest suites, which was very convenient! I'd highly recommend Holman Ranch for your wedding. All our guests keep telling us ours was the best wedding they've ever been to!

This was by far the best venue we looked at. We booked the ranch for the entire weekend so our out of town family could enjoy each other and our special day while staying onsite. The Holman staff was very accommodating to every minute detail and were always available to make sure we had everything we needed. We also enjoyed a private wine cave tour with Nick. He shared some of his knowledge of the wine making process and the history and vision of Holman Ranch. We are so glad we chose Holman for our special weekend and would definitely recommend it.

We had our wedding here, and it was magical. All of our guests couldn't believe how incredible the venue was, and neither could we. It was perfect in every way.

I worked with Hunter Lowder to coordinate leading up to the event mostly through email. Hunter was always extremely responsive and helpful. Great people to work with.

The only thing is I wish we were able to have had our event until 11pm, but they make you shut everything off at 10pm. However, we just went to the Running Iron bar which was conveniently down the street.

This was a beautiful space to have our Autumn themed wedding in November! We got the best of a ranch and vineyard venue for the price of one, and it was a beautiful place for our guests to come. The venue is perfect in that every part of the wedding from ceremony to reception and dancing was all contained within the property, and yet we were able to feel like you weren't stuck in one place the whole night. The space was very conducive to any kind of decor imaginable. We were so happy with the way the wedding turned out, and our friends and family are still raving about it!

The setting, the view and the grounds provide an outstanding scene for a wedding. I would highly recommend that the wedding party stay at Holman Ranch - the facilities allow you to relax and enjoy not just the wedding day but before and after the wedding.

There are so many words to express the professionalism, Quality of Service, Responsiveness, Value and Flexibility. There is no need to look at any other venues, don't waste your time just book Holman Ranch.

We have the 3 day 2 night wedding package. We do not have to find a place for our Rehearsal Dinner, their preferred rehearsal dinner vendor is a owner who has a wood fire pizza maker. Before I knew this, I said to myself, I would like to have pizza and see all of our wedding party in shorts and flip flops to be comfortable. It will be a nice relaxing fun rehearsal dinner to come.

Holman Ranch made my wedding dreams a reality. This venue is by far the prettiest I have ever been to. I found this venue on Pinterest while searching Carmel Weddings and fell in love. Making an appointment to do a walk through was very easy. Emily showed us around the venue and it was ever more beautiful in person. I loved that my whole wedding could be in one spot. We had our ceremony on the lawn, cocktail hour on the terrace, our reception in the rose patio, and dancing in the barn. Hunter is very professional and was great to work with. I love how Holman gave me a list of reffered vendors but they were open to other vendors as well. Which was a plus since most of my vendors are friends that are in the event business! Thank you Holman for all the wonderful memories!

Holman Ranch was the perfect place for our wedding. We knew that we wanted this venue as we were driving up the driveway, prior to actually seeing the venue. Beyond the beauty of Holman Ranch, our experience was as amazing as it was because of the helpful and friendly staff. Not only were we given the attention desired on our wedding day, but we felt we were paid attention to throughout the entire wedding planning process. The year of planning and the day we were finally married at Holman Ranch was everything we desired. It all went by way too fast and we wish we could push the rewind button to experience everything all over again.

Hunter and her team were fabulous. They were extremely responsive throughout the course of the year leading up to the wedding when we had any questions. Her team was also great resources when we were looking for a venue for our rehearsal dinner. Nick was fantastic during our tasting that we purchased all the wine for our wedding from Holman as well! The venue is beautiful and they do a fantastic job in maintaining the entire site.

The entire staff leading up to the wedding was amazing, really taking time out of the day to help us with the event planning, and providing us with details. We planned the entire wedding out of state, we were very nervous for what would end up happening on that day, and we could not have asked for a more perfect turn out! Everything was amazing, probably helped too that the venue itself was "dreamlike" itself. Would definitely recommend.

I honestly don't know where to begin with this review, except for to say that Holman Ranch is a dream come true. My husband and I were fortunate to have our wedding there on 10/25/14 and I can't imagine having had it any other place. I wasn't your typical bride and didn't dream of my wedding as a young girl, but when I saw Holman Ranch for the first time, I knew it was the place I had to get married.

My husband and I live in Colorado, so we had limited time to visit the ranch. Hunter and Nick were always accommodating and would find time for us to stop by and see it. Emily and Peter were amazing to work with as well, making everything so easy, which was very helpful when planning a wedding form out of state.

Additionally, since our family and most of our wedding party was traveling for the wedding, it was SO nice to be able to stay in the guest rooms on site at the ranch. We rented out the ranch from Thursday-Sunday, and it gave our friends and family the opportunity to bond, get to know each other, relax and have fun! The grounds are simply amazing.

We had both our rehearsal dinner and wedding at the ranch. Our rehearsal dinner was held under the arbor and was beautiful. All of our guests were blown away the minute they set foot on the property.

Our wedding was so magical and a day we will never forget. Again, all of the Holman staff members are fantastic. The grounds of Holman Ranch are so beautifully kept, and the flow of the property makes for an absolutely perfect wedding. The flow of the wedding/reception was something that was extremely important to myself and my husband. We have attended other weddings in the past where guests are confused on where to go, and when, and that is not a problem at Holman.

We can't wait to return sometime soon!

All I can say is that my friends and family said it over and over again that Holman Ranch was the most beautiful venue they have ever been too! It was truly spectacular in everyway! From the fantastic staff, down to the ranch style rooms that were included in our 3-day event. Totally cool place that the movie stars from the past use to stay to get away! With the beautiful vineyard to admire, and a view that's incredible, a style all of it's own. We are local people here on the Monterey Peninsula and looked at many venues we are so happy we choose Holman Ranch !

If anyone has seen pictures of Holman Ranch then it is self explanatory why we chose Holman for our wedding site. Yes, it is that gorgeous! Also, Hunter and Nick were such a joy to work with while planning our wedding. They returned our calls or emails promptly but had an overall laid back quality about them. I never felt rushed or pressured. Our wedding was mostly DIY and we had many of our friends and family help us out instead of highering vendors. This required a lot more planning on our part and Holman Ranch was very helpful throughout the entire process. Our wedding turned out perfectly! There isn't one thing I would change.

There is no review that can do Holman Ranch justice. It's the most gorgeous venue and owned/ran by the kindest people!

We had our rehearsal dinner + wedding at the property and received endless compliments on the location. Every part of the property is perfect and it's not possible to take a bad photo at Holman.

We are from the Bay Area and wanted a mini destination wedding where most of our guests didn't have to get on a plane -- Holman Ranch really lets you feel like you've escaped to a little bit of paradise!

It's a rustic ranch that is beyond elegant and romantic -- the ideal California venue!!

What an absolutely breath-taking place to get married. Holman Ranch is a magical venue. The views, the staff, the various locations on the property were astounding. The organization and execution of the staff is to be highly commended. They worked seamlessly and were never in the way. All of my guests commented on how lovely the venue was. My wedding day was fantastic, and having it at Holman Ranch had everything to do with it.

Holman Ranch is the most perfect, breath taking wedding venue. We knew we wanted to be married there the moment we set foot on the property. The views are spectacular and the property is gorgeous with old stone buildings, large oak trees, rolling hills surrounding the area, and a great barn for dancing. The preferred vendors that we hired on the list provided by the ranch were phenomenal. They all had experience working with each other and have worked many events at the ranch. This definitely helped with the flow of events. Nobody asked me questions throughout the entire night, they handled it all very smoothly and knew what to do. Holman Ranch was our dream venue and helped our wedding day be more perfect than we ever could have imagined.

We had our wedding ceremony at Holman Ranch in March. It was a beautiful wedding and the venue is absolutely perfect, it is well taken care of and beautifully designed. From all the venues we considered for our outdoor ceremony location this one was the best one we saw and so peaceful that you can actually hear the birds. Our guests were amazed with the venue and everyone had a great time. We also have many wonderful wedding pictures from Holman Ranch, our photographer had a blast with this venue.

The day following our wedding, my husband's cousin ran up to me and excitedly said "you had my dream wedding!" I enthusiastically replied "So did I!" My husband and I had our dream wedding and everyone we worked with was the dream team. Hunter and Nick know what they are doing and they are a well oiled machine. On top of that, we did not feel like just another couple having a wedding at their beautiful venue but truly felt the love that they have in this industry and felt welcomed in the space.

When you see this venue, you know exactly why it was chosen our our wedding venue, it is absolutely stunning and so much more amazing in person than in the pictures (of which are, of course, completely gorgeous!) The ceremony space: the reason for a wedding is the ceremony and this space had such a beautiful view, beautiful sky, mountains, the vineyards, the area where everyone sits all just makes everything picturesque. Walking through the space I wanted to twirl, like full on tween girl style wearing a hooped skirt twirl. It felt as magical as it looked. I held back on twirling, didn’t quite want to introduce my childlike behavior to Hunter. Seriously best day of my life and I have no regrets whatsoever.

From the minute my fiance and I stepped foot on Holman Ranch's property we knew we had to get married there. The setting is absolutely stunning and they keep the grounds pristine. Nick and Hunter are great to work with and are very responsive to any questions or help needed along the planning process. Our wedding was absolutely amazing and our guests are still talking about the gorgeousness of Holman Ranch! There is a special charm about Holman Ranch and it very special our each event throughout the wedding can take place at a different location on the property-- it keeps the guests wondering what is next! Let's not forget their wine-- it was a huge hit at the wedding and makes for a special memory as chances are most guests have never tried Holman's wine before.

Holman was one of the best decisions we ever made. The ranch is so private and peaceful, it makes you feel like you're in your own world. The great thing about Holman is that you don't need to worry about the details because it has a wow factor no matter what, even if things go wrong. The staff was amazing and super accommodating. I just wish we lived closer so I could go back more often.

Northern California has many beautiful wedding venues (and it seems like we saw most them), but Holman Ranch is the most spectacular place for a wedding, not to mention an incredible value. Nick and Hunter were so helpful in the 9 months leading up to our wedding, answering questions, recommending vendors, and helping with logistics, and then the day-of their team worked with our vendors to make sure that everything behind the scenes went off without a hitch. A gorgeous setting, a great team, and a good value--would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Holman Ranch is like no other venue you will ever experience. The views, setting, and details are all incredible. We spent three nights on property at the ranch for our summer wedding and fell in love! The rooms are top notch with great amenities and serviced daily. The décor and details all around the property and in great shape and kept clean. We utilized the pool, game room, and bridal room. With both our rehearsal and wedding at Holman, we were able to make such great use of the space. We had about 235 for our wedding and it was the perfect size for the space! We love the flow of the property and the groups are kept immaculate. We were weary of the 10pm shut down time for events but realize they do this to keep the place in tip top shape. The staff was extremely helpful and we hope to return one day soon. Worth every penny!

I had my wedding at Holman Ranch last month. We stayed at the ranch the whole weekend, and even had our rehearsal dinner there. EVERYONE thought Holman Ranch was such an amazing venue and we heard so many great compliments. We had an amazing time and loved being able to stay at the ranch all weekend. I can't even begin to describe how beautiful this property is. The owners and staff at Holman Ranch have created a magical venue that was made for weddings! There isn't enough that can be said about how BEAUTIFUL Holman Ranch is. So, I won't even reiterate what's already been said here. A few notable things about our experience in planning our 2013 Holman Wedding:

1) We planned from 3,000 miles away. Which proved challenging for my detail oriented self. Nick never hesitated to answer a one-line email, send me photos of property details (cocktail tables ... at night and during the day. I know, I know.) or answer whatever inane question came up.

2) In the same vein, they never scoffed at my ... three tours of the property ... to be sure that I understood the layout + could thus make better informed decisions for our guests.

3) Holman Ranch wines are wonderful. The vines are on property - which means that you have the opportunity to offer your guests a *taste* of Holman Ranch. You should definitely ask about what they can offer you for wine tasting as a cocktail hour activity. Our guests loved it.

I owe Nick and Hunter and the whole Holman staff my sincerest thanks. You were such a significant part of one of the best days of our lives. Thank you, a million times, thank you.

Working with Hunter Lowder at Holman Ranch was great! You can tell she is passionate about the Ranch and works hard to make sure your day is just as special as you envision it to be. The professionals at the Holman Ranch were outstanding and the venue was incredible. Our winter wedding had a glitch because our caterer broke down on the way to the venue causing a 3-hour delay in the food service. Not only did the great folks at Holman (Peter and Hunter especially) make sure that everything else was perfect, but also drove down to pick up appitizers to feed the guests and gave us extra time at the end of the evening to ensure that all of the guests had time to dance and honor the bride and groom. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the overall experience at the ranch. Suffice to say, when my next daughter gets married, we will be back . . . and I would highly recommend the Holman Ranch to anyone interested in a spectacular wedding.

This review is a little late....but we were married here in 2002 before all the major remodels and it was still breathtaking and perfect.
People still talk about our wedding and how amazing it was.
Later down the road in 2005 & 2007 we baptized our two boys at Holman Ranch also as it was such a special & sacred place to us.
Several people got married here after us....based on how much fun our wedding was!
Hoping to do our vow renewals for a special anniversary in the future!
It is by far, the most amazing & memorable venue for any special occasion!
Also, one of our closest friends who passed away...his wife held his memorial service here and it was so perfect & heartfelt.

Beautiful venue! The layout of the venue was perfect! The guests continually complimented the venue and how beautiful the scenery was. Having the ceremony in one spot, cocktail hour, reception and dancing in different areas but on the same location made for an easy flow and transition. The staff was awesome!

The second I stepped foot on Holman Ranch last November, I knew that I needed to do whatever it takes to get married here. The grounds are perfection and the views are spectacular. Throughout the year, Hunter and Nick both were extremely responsive and helpful/patient with our questions. The ranch offers rooms and we stayed for the weekend along with our bridal party. Everyone had so much fun! The game room was a blast and perfect for mellow hang outs. The day of our wedding, the staff was so incredible. Everything was absolutely perfect-- better than anything I could have imagined. Thank you so much for the best experience of my life. I only wish it was more than just day!

Could not have been happier - Hunter and Nick were warm and accommodating - anything you needed, they were there for you. The ranch is GORGEOUS, too, and so conducive to a lively, romantic event. We could not have been happier with our choice of venue - it's unique layout allows you to hold each part of your wedding in a different place, which keeps people moving and happy and astounded by all the beauty. I helped my brother and now sister plan their wedding at Holman Ranch and it could not have been the more perfect venue for them. Everyone was extremely helpful. The wedding date was set a little over a year ago which allowed PLENTY of emails to go back and forth between Hunter and all of us. She was very flexible and easy to work with. I have been in the wedding industry for over 12 years now and so unfortunately I can be a bit selective at times. It truly could not have gone better. Holman Ranch is one of the most beautiful venues I have ever been to or held an event at. In great part due to this venue, my brother and sister in law's wedding most certainly will never be forgotten. What a gorgeous venue! Our wedding at Holman Ranch was absolutely breathtaking! The grounds are maintained meticulously and the facillity, with it's rich history and beautiful landscape, was the most perfect location to exchange our vows. Hunter helped us plan and coordinate every detail of the event and was extremely flexible, customizing many elemnts of our event even up to the very last minute.

This is an incredible location to hold any social event, especially a wedding. I would highly recommend taking a tour of Holman Ranch before commiting to any venue along the central coast or Carmel Valley. You will certainly not be disappointed!

This was our dream wedding location. I can't describe in words how beautiful the property is--you have to see it to understand its rustic elegance. I was just browsing through my wedding pictures and my heart was immediately filled with joy, and remembered that I still needed to give The Holman Ranch the 5 star review that they deserve. My husband and I could not have asked for a better venue than The Holman Ranch. It was definitely over our budget, but once we visited the property there was no turning back, every other place we looked at just couldn't compare. You don't need to worry about adding a lot of fluff to your wedding when you have it at The Holman Ranch because the scenery is spectacular and you do not want anything trying to compete with its beauty. Many of our guest are calling our wedding the wedding of the year, but honestly it's impossible to not have a beautiful wedding here. It was great being able to get there on Friday and have all of our loved ones relaxing in the game room enjoying great wine and conversation before our big day. The people who work here are really sweet and totally helpful. I would definitely recommend having your big day here. I wish I could do it again!

The entire Holman Ranch staff was very welcoming and excellent to work with! They made the entire process very easy and allowed multiple site visits so that I could clearly articulate my vision. The entire site was a little more than I wanted to spend, but Hunter worked with us and the venue is just so amazing and unique, how could we not say yes? Aside from how absolutely gorgeous and well-maintained the property is (literally every single guest at the wedding RAVED about the ranch's beauty and that it was absolutely the most perfect wedding site for both a ceremony and reception), the main event coordinator Hunter was so accommodating and always responsive to questions. The entire planning of the event was so smooth because of her generosity and understanding about vendor arrivals and deliveries, as the event was on the larger side. The wedding and reception went on without a single hiccup. It was an absolute DREAM!

Such a beautiful place and the staff could not be more helpful, friendly and kind. This place is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. We had a large reception (350+) and Holman Ranch was the perfect fit for our celebration. My only complaint is that we had to cut off the music at 9:00. Still, this place is so beautiful, you should not pass it up.

I can't say enough good things about Holman. I've been to two weddings at Holman Ranch. I attended the first wedding by myself as a guest. Attending a wedding by yourself, when you don't know anyone but the bride, can be dreadful, but I had such a wonderful time at Holman. I was able to explore the interiors of the ranch: the stately main room, the lovely courtyard, the views from the lawns. I had a wonderful time just relaxing and soaking up the romantic environment and chatting with all the other guests doing the same. My experience as a guest there was so perfect, I knew I wanted to have my wedding there. And last year, I did.

My husband fell in love with the venue at first sight. Being from the peninsula area, we worried that our guests wouldn't dislike having to drive down to Carmel Valley, but knew they'd forget all that as soon as they arrived. It's just such a perfect setting. Both the scenery indoors and outdoors hold so much appeal, just being there is entertaining enough.

As for putting on a wedding (I had both my ceremony and reception here), it went flawlessly. Hunter, the events coordinator, was always responsive, always cheerful, always helpful when it came to answering my many questions. The service she and her staff gave on the big day couldn't have been more effective, accommodating or efficient and was always friendly. Holman Ranch, along with my caterer (Bird of Paradise, whom I highly recommend) created a day that actually exceeded my expectations (and what bride doesn't have HIGH expectations for her wedding day?)

We loved our experience with Holman Ranch! The venue is so beautiful (even in the rain) and the staff is well organized, friendly, professional, flexible and easy to work with. Highly recommend Holman if you are looking for a romantic, rustic and private event in the hills of Carmel Valley.

We had our November wedding at Holman Ranch and it was perfect. The venue is incredible, the staff are very professional and accommodating. It rained on our big day so we had to have our ceremony inside the carriage house and our guests didn't even know it was supposed to be outside because the transition was so smooth and it was still very beautiful.

Communication with Holman was a little slow at times but they always responded and were very flexible with us (regarding changing our ceremony start time and last minute rain plan).

We also held our rehearsal dinner at Wills Fargo and I highly recommend them. Nick worked with us on our menu (we had a big paella) and the food was excellent.

Overall Holman Ranch is a magical place. You just have to go see for yourself!

Holman Ranch is a BREATHTAKING venue nestled in the rolling hills of Carmel Valley. We had our destination wedding there, and all of our guests were in awe of the beauty of the venue. Though we battled some weather issues on the day of, I have to say, even on a n overcast day, Holman is still as beautiful as ever.
My husband and I planned our wedding from Colorado, so we had a lot of communications with the venue from out of state. Everyone was very helpful, and more importantly, come the day of, they completely knocked it out of the park . We knew come the day of, we would be in good hands, and everyone worked so hard to get our last minute weather changes taken care of. Peter was amazing in the final weeks, with answering all of my questions, and helped us out with quite a few last minute items! We were so so happy with how everything came together there on our wedding day!

The moment my now husband and i stepped foot at Holman Ranch, our hearts melted. We knew we had to get married there. From start to finish, Holman Ranch helped us create our most special day the two of us have experienced. Hunter, Nick and all of their amazing staff were absolutely incredible, reliable, accommodating and such a pleasure to work with. We will be back for our one year anniversary to recapture our special wedding day. We appreciate all of you and everything you did to make our day the most special!

Holman Ranch is a spectacular venue. Spending the weekend at the Ranch with our bridal party and close friends added a indescribable dimension to the event. If you are going to have your wedding at Holman Ranch, you must consider staying for the weekend.

Although there are specific time restrictions, we found a wonderful "After Party" site within minutes from the Ranch to continue our celebration.

We were delighted as were our guests!

Holman Ranch provided an authentic and beautiful backdrop to our wedding day. The grounds are so magnificently maintained and gorgeous that no photograph will ever do it justice. It is a first class venue with an intimacy that allows you to entertain your guests as if they were in your own home. As native Californians we wanted someplace that spoke to our memories of this landscape. Holman Ranch's authenticity allowed us to have the Californian wedding we were dreaming of having.

Holman Ranch was a superb place to have a wedding. The site is exquisite, Though all vendors need to be brought in, Hunter was very good at suggesting vendors she has worked with. A wedding coordinator is suggested to make things work smoothly so Holman is not inexpensive but the result is amazing. It is also wonderful to have family stay at Holman during the wedding weekend. The facilities are lovely but service is not provided to the rooms. Still, having your own pool, fitness center, and incredible setting is very special.

My husband and I held both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding at Holman Ranch. Both events were everything we envisioned and more. We love how there are so many beautiful and unique spaces on site - both days felt unique and special for us and our guests. Having our wedding at Holman Ranch was the best decision we made while planning our wedding. During our wedding, nearly each guest we spoke with shared that Holman Ranch was the most beautiful venue they have ever been too... we definitely agree! We are so appreciative of the on site staff for all their efforts in making our event run smoothly. I highly recommend Holman Ranch for any special event.

We were the very first wedding after Holman Ranch was renovated and reopened. Everything they did to make sure it was ready for our big day was spectacular. I had attended my uncle's wedding 8 years earlier at Holman Ranch when it was under different ownership and nothing was the same. The renovations that were done were so beautiful and appropriate to the style of the property. Hunter was so proactive in helping me sort out details from 3000 miles away . I'm a professional corporate event planner in Atlanta, and I had a very specific vision for our reception. One thing I have learned over the years is to make sure you trust the venue. They know their space better than any client or event planner that walks through the door and Hunter did everything in her power to maximize the use of her space for our reception and our guests. When it comes to venues in the Carmel/ Monterey area, they are second to NONE. To make our day just a little bit more special than it already was, she created a special sign for my husband and I to remember our wedding day at Holman Ranch. Everyone still talks about the venue, the dancing in the carriage house, the reception on the lawn with the market umbrellas and the dinner in the rose patio. Thank you thank you Hunter for everything you did. I wish we could do it all over again!

Perfect wedding experience

Holman Ranch helped us put on the most amazing wedding ever! The staff and correspondences were prompt and professional, the grounds are perfectly maintained, and the site is stunning. We're just receiving our photographs now and are amazed at how lovely the site also comes out in photos. We had lawn games, dancing in the carriage house (an elegant barn with beautiful lights), and a lovely dinner in their rose patio. The ceremony lawn is one of the most beautiful places to have a ceremony. Multiple guests told us it was the nicest wedding venue they'd ever been to! Thanks, Holman.

It's even more beautiful than the pictures and everyone is SO nice and helpful. They were super accommodating about our requested changes to the standard package (we didn't have that many). Everyone had an amazing time and it was really perfect for our needs.

I am convinced that this is the most beautiful place to get married in California. Everything is stunning- the ceremony veranda, the rose garden, the buildings, even the onsite pool. The wedding felt like a dream.

We had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Holman Ranch. If you are considering this venue, just take a guided visit and you'll understand why we couldn't even look anywhere else after receiving the tour. The pictures on the website are gorgeous, but don't begin to do it justice. The staff was wonderful - Peter couldn't have been more delightful when we checked in and everyone was so gracious our entire stay. The grounds were magnificent and all of our guests instantly fell in love with the space, just like we did when we first saw it. One quick money saver tip if you plan a wedding here - use Bogdan Condor as your photographer. He costs almost half of what their preferred vendor photographers cost and he's phenomenal. If you google him you will see his yelp reviews speak for themselves. Holman's magic and romance will live on with us forever, we can't wait to come back for an anniversary celebration.

Having our wedding at Holman Ranch was one of the best decisions we could have possibly made. The ranch is pristine and the ambiance is unbeatable. We searched far and wide for a venue with rustic elegance, and Holman provided that and more. Everyone we worked with at Holman was flexible, accommodating, friendly and helpful...everything you want while planning one of the biggest days and events of your life. I had multiple guests share with my husband and I that it was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever seen, and some guests even said they wished that they had gotten married there! Holman provides tables, chairs and heaters which was incredible not having to rent those! The venue is so naturally gorgeous that you really don't have to add much to make it event ready (which is perfect for anyone planning on a budget!) The only thing I would change would be that we would have booked the weekend package instead of just the day package. Although there is quite a bit of difference in cost, it would have been incredible to host our rehearsal dinner there (we had a pretty bad experience going elsewhere) relax on the grounds the morning of and morning after, and not feel quite as rushed within the time frame we had on the wedding day. Holman Ranch is incredible and I believe wholeheartedly that it's one of the best wedding and event venues in the area!

Holman Ranch is the most dreamlike setting and our wedding was just that, a DREAM!! Nick and Hunter were so helpful with the hundreds of tiny details that went into our special 2 day wedding! Accommodations were warm and comfortable with a California ranch elegance. Our families were able to get to know one another in the beautiful living areas and Hacienda. We loved it and will happily return to celebrate in the future.

I would give Holman Ranch a TEN out of five for value. The pure beauty of the location set the mood for a wonderful and blissful wedding. Everything was perfect, and it was in large part due to the venue. Afterwards my guests were telling me how lovely and kind the staff was as well. I really can't say enough positive things about this location. I already have friends telling me that they want to recommend this location to their friends looking for places to get married. It really captures the beauty of the region. Although the initial asking price is a tough pill to swallow, the flexibility and everything you get with it makes it totally worth it.

Of all the venues we looked at on the Monterey Peninsula, none blew us away like Holman Ranch. We wanted a spot where friends from out of town could stay a couple nights, so we booked the ranch for a weekend. The staff was so accommodating! The whole weekend was an absolute blast, and so beautiful. We got great weather; the ranch was perfectly appointed and manicured, with so many flowers in bloom; and everything was just seamless from start to finish. I wish I could do it all again so I could enjoy another few hours at this beautiful and unique Carmel Valley location!

One note: When we were deciding between venues, it came down to the Holly Farm and Holman Ranch; locals will know these are two of the most beloved wedding venues in town, and their comparable in price. I asked the Holman Ranch rep why I should choose them over the Holly Farm, and vice versa, and the Holman Ranch rep nailed it: She said that Holly Farm is beautiful in a tropical, "Hawaii-in-Carmel Valley" kind of way, and Holman Ranch is where you get married if you want Carmel Valley to feel like Carmel Valley. Also, it's further out, so you get more sun.

Holman Ranch is one of the most beautiful places to have a wedding. The weather is normally amazing and the venue is so lovely that there isn't a real need to spend a lot on decorations. The staff is very professional and fabulous to work with. The only reason there is less than 5 stars is because there is a evening time limit of 10:00 PM which was fine for us but it would be nice to be able to go later than 10:00 PM. They have plenty of tables and chairs to use for your event as well as the fire pits, standing heaters and umbrellas for your guests. The overall event and venue was just amazing. So many great pictures and memories.

Holman Ranch is simply the most beautiful venue for a wedding ceremony and reception. In our search for a wedding location, we searched high and wide from Napa, San Francisco all the way to the South Bay and the Carmel/Monterey region to find a suitable venue and after seeing countless possibilities, stumbled upon Holman Ranch and instantly fell in love.

What is so wonderful about this venue - besides the unbelievable natural beauty, the pristine, impeccably manicured grounds and likely the most gracious, helpful and hard working staff - is the flexibility it gives to couples to create and control all the little details and elements of their event. Holman Ranch can be described as the most beautiful bare canvas; what you are given is a lot of space to accommodate anything from a small intimate gathering to a 250+ person wedding, the most naturally beautiful setting and backdrop for a special event and then the freedom to chose and bring in almost any vendors (naturally professional approved vendors) that you like. This was incredibly important to us when we were planning our wedding and I think it's one of the real qualities of Holman Ranch that one may not find with other venues.

One other huge plus (one of many - I could go on and on about their incredible grounds, amenities and services) is the fact that the layout of the property lends itself to a wedding ceremony and reception perfectly. Holman Ranch has the most beautiful wedding ceremony veranda overlooking gorgeous mountain views, they have two distinct areas on property that would be perfect for cocktails and yet other options for a beautifully elegant and intimate sit-down dinner and to finish it off, dancing in their charming and cozy carriage house. the abundance of beautiful spaces allows for a great deal of flexibility and creativity to create a beautiful flow for a wedding event from beginning to end that will leave guests continuously amazed and surprised. There can not possibly be a dull or boring moment in a wedding organized at Holman Ranch.

The property is absolutely beautiful, it is private and secluded and despite some minor drawbacks (namely the fact that music has to end at 9 pm when you will wish that your wedding could last into the night in such a gorgeous place!) it may just be very very near to being THE perfect location to host a wedding. We were lucky enough to have our wedding at Holman Ranch and we couldn't have been happier. Almost 4 months later, many of our guests and of course our family are all still talking about it and we are sure to remember the incredible memories always.

We fell in love with Holman Ranch the moment we stepped our feet on the premises and knew we wanted to get married there. We wanted our guests to have an amazing time so it meant a lot to us that our guests were blown away by the beauty of the place when they were at the wedding. The different spaces on the property created little bits of surprises for the guests, which kept things interesting throughout the day. The ceremony site with the hills of Carmel Valley as the backdrop is just breathtaking and picture perfect and so were the separate spaces for cocktail hour, dinner, and the carriage house for dancing. You just can't have a bad time at Holman Ranch and all the pictures turned out beautifully. We saved a lot of money on flowers because the grounds and structures were so beautiful that there was no need for flowers.

The service was amazing and Hunter was very responsive and tried to help in any way that she can. The personalized sign was such a surprise and am extremely thoughtful touch, thank you Hunter! The place is expensive since you are paying just for the use of the site, chairs, umbrellas, and tables (but we wound up renting round tables instead because they only had rectangular ones). But...like everyone tells you, set your main priorities and don't skimp on them. We wanted a unique and beautiful venue, didn't skimp on it, and would not have changed it for the world...we just cut back on other things.

The reason I gave a 4.5 instead of a 5.0 for value for cost is the fact that the game room where the men are to hang out as the women got ready did not have a mirror or a restroom. The groom and his groomsmen were originally in the bridal suite and had to leave when we got there, they were not done getting ready so it was frustrating for him not to have a mirror or a restroom.

As for flexibility, I gave a 4.5 because they were very strict about the music stopping at 9 p.m., no open flames were allowed so you couldn't do sparklers if you wanted to, and the gates close and open at a certain time so don't leave your car there thinking that you can come and pick it up later that night! But these rules are understandable being that it is a private residence and the area is dry and residential. Nevertheless, Hunter was flexible in other ways which bumped the score back up to 4.5 :)

We had an amazing wedding at Holman Ranch and don't believe that we would have had the intimate, classy, and exceptional wedding we wanted if it was held anywhere else. Like another reviewer said, our wedding exceeded our expectations and that is a tall order. I would recommend this place to my closest friends and family without thinking twice.

I can't imagine a more perfect venue to have a wedding. On my wedding day, people could wander through the old stone houses and courtyards. Or gaze out over the beauty of carmel valley, with a garden of flowers in full bloom. What once was a celebrity getaway in the early 1900's (one room is named after charlie chaplin, he was there that much!), is now the most beautiful location for a couple to exchange "i do's".
