    December Wedding

    Holly Hills was an amazing place to get married! They were so helpful from the very beginning trying to make sure our day was perfect. The staff is also so kind to work with in the wedding process!

    Beautiful venue

    Wonderful experience. The staff was very professional and it was the most beautiful wedding. Plenty of places to take beautiful pictures! Our day of coordinator MaryKathryn was amazing. I was the most stressed out bride but she made everything go so smoothly despite the craziness of the day. Would recommend this place to anyone!

    Perfection

    I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day. Ashley made the day so smooth and stress free. They have multiple options for food and drink, which made the planning process very easy. My wedding day was exactly how I pictured it, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.

    Couldn't Have Dreamed of A Better Venue

    I couldn't recommend Holly Hills as a wedding venue to enough people! From the very start everyone was extremely accommodating and understanding of the stress that coincides with planning a wedding! We loved how every idea my husband and I had, they found a way to incorporate. Our primary contact during the planning process accepted another job a couple of months before our wedding and what could've been an extra stressor was actually quite the opposite. Holly Hills made sure we had the smoothest transition and that all of our previous meetings/contacts had been relayed to our next point of contact- MaryKathryn (who I cannot thank enough for keeping my family/bridal party on top of these on wedding day because I'm sure my crowd can be a handful). She made sure we had a backup plan for every scenario and that as a bride I had nothing to worry about on actual wedding day-from set-up to clean up. You will not regret choosing this venue for your special day!!

    Highly recommend

    Beautiful location and wonderful service! Jessica was super helpful with answering all of my questions during the process. MaryKathryn was our day of coordinator and she made sure everything went as planned. When covid started Holly Hills was understanding and flexible with both postponements. Great place and great people!

    The perfect venue for a perfect day

    Our wedding was perfect, and we had the dream team of vendors, spearheaded by MaryKathryn and her team at Holly Hills. My husband and I met at Holly Hills and knew we wanted to get married there right away. Not only does it hold sentimental value for us, but it was the most beautiful and most affordable venue we toured with amazing staff! Everyone was so friendly and professional and went beyond our expectations. The few hiccups that we had during the day (let’s be real, is it a wedding without hiccups?) were handled so swiftly by MaryKathryn, I had practically nothing to worry about. The ceremony site is so beautiful and overlooks the golf course for a picture perfect ceremony. The food was also amazing! The service all day and night was impeccable. Holly Hills made our day magical and perfect in every way and I strongly recommend you check them out!

    May 2021 wedding

    Holly hills was absolutely amazing! From the moment we went to look at this venue we knew we wanted to get married there. Not only we’re the views amazing but the staff was great! The venue was the perfect size for the amount of people we wanted without you feeling crowded and uncomfortable. Our ceremony was outside on the hilltop facing the golf course and it was beautiful! This venue was also great at keeping us up to date with all of the COVID restrictions. Jessica and Rachel responded very quickly with any email that was sent and they did everything they could to accommodate us to make the day perfect! Rachel was also very helpful the day of our wedding by delegating all the tasks that needed to get done! We couldn’t have asked for a better day!

    Amazingly beautiful

    I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, holly hills ensured everything was done perfectly and helped us every step of the way! They were very responsive throughout the whole process and accommodated us in every way! The venue is stunning and perfect for pictures!!! The wedding coordinator Rachel was super helpful as well as the event coordinator Jessica! Even the bar tender I handed my check to was helpful! Planning a wedding during covid was stressful and they made it as smooth as possible. We had about 50 guest planned for 70, however they can most definitely accommodate more with the spacing they have.

    Hometown Heroes Wedding Giveaway

    My husband and I were lucky enough to win this Hometown Heroes Wedding Giveaway during COVID, presented by Holly Hills. Our vendor team, hand picked by Holly Hills, was amazing! Our food (main course: steak and chicken parmesan) was delicious. Overall a wonderful and grateful experience. Thank you to Chanon and everyone at Holly Hills for making our wedding day possible!

    Great experience, great organized

    We couldn't be more happy with the choice of heaving our wedding at Holly Hills. It's a beautiful location and their food was perfect and delicious.     Holly Hills made our wedding dreams come true!

    Rachel & staff did an amazing job hosting our wedding. Rachel’s communication was outstanding during the whole planning process- always responded quickly, and was very clear the entire process. They were friendly, kind, and really went out of their way to make the event go off perfectly. They were so smooth with service the day of! Plus, the venue / property is gorgeous! Highly recommend for anyone’s special day.

    Highly recommend! So in love with this venue!

    Having our wedding at Holly Hills County Club was one of the best decisions we ever made!
    Everything was just perfect!!!
    The two main individuals we worked with during the planning and day of (Jessica and Rachel) were the most organized, caring, and responsive ever! The food was amazing, our guests really enjoyed everything from appetizers to the main course. From the beginning to end they handled everything so perfectly, that if there was a flaw we did not even notice. We cannot say enough good things about this place. The ballroom is beautiful, the outdoor ceremony space and view is gorgeous! We are so placed with staff for the efforts and collaboration to make this dream come true even with all this COVID situation going on. Muchas gracias!!!

    Bev, Bride

    We found Holly Hills Country Club on Wedding Wire after looking at numerous other venues. Contacting the venue was easy and they responded quickly and we were able to do a site tour within a couple of weeks. We were looking for a venue to have our 120-140 guests, ceremony AND reception.

    When we visited, we knew this venue was “the one” for us. . . not too big or to small, with the perfect amount of “class” (without being too ornate or seemingly pretentious). Our original date was March 28, 2020 and we were all set for our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception at HH. But, 19 days before, our governor put a stay-at-home order in place. . . Needless to say, we were crushed!

    Holly hills was great with communication and got us rescheduled quickly. There were covid restrictions, of course, but overall HH was very accommodating. (Masks indoors, 1/2 the number of original guests, etc.) Our ceremony and reception happened on August 15! Guests all had a good time, enjoyed the food and the ambiance of the venue.

    Also, the grounds and scenery are beautiful! We were running behind schedule and had to skip over our first look photos at their covered bridge. Talked to Rachel and she said we could come back with our photographer to do them! 😁

    We HIGHLY recommend Holly Hills Country Club!

    Great Team Work & Fabulous Turnout!

    The staff at this venue was very helpful. Jessica answered any & all questions that I had up until & through my wedding day. If I could do my wedding day over & over again, I would still choose Holly Hills as my venue! The food was great. Kudos to the chef! My guests had nothing but nice words about the entrees & hors d'oeuvres offered. The grounds looked amazing for our pictures as well in the middle of October! I wish the day did not have to end. I HIGHLY recommend Holly Hills Country Club for anyone who asks me where to book their next event!

    Amazing to work with!!

    My husband and I absolutely loved getting married here! From start to finish we had an awesome experience. We coordinated everything with Jessica and she was such a breeze to work with. She responded quickly and made the process stress free. It was raining on our wedding day and they were so flexible and made sure our day would still be perfect. Luckily the rain calmed down and we were able to have our ceremony outside. The scenery is beautiful which is a big reason we chose this venue. The reception went flawlessly. It was honestly a perfect day and we are SO happy we chose this venue. Thank you to all of the staff for making our day so special.

    So Beautiful

    We loved Holly Hills from day one! The venue was gorgeous and made our wedding day everything we wanted and more. Jessica helped us plan/prepare everything. We couldn’t have done it without her. She was so sweet and beyond helpful! She was very responsive to all my emails and patient with my hundreds of questions. The food was excellent as well. All of our guests raved about the filet minion. Thank you Holly Hills for helping us have the perfect Christmas wedding!

    Holly Hills

    Having our wedding at Holly Hills was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process. Everyone there was so easy to work with and were always willing to be flexible to fit our needs. They truly take care of just about everything and it really helped me relax and enjoy our entire day. We also had our rehearsal dinner there as well which was also amazing! Can’t recommend them enough.

    Perfect Fall Wedding

    This was a perfect place to have our reception. We loved that the dance floor was centrally located, allowing for optimum dancing time. Additionally, the bar and balcony areas provided a more quiet space, if anyone needed a little bit of space, or a break. Holly Hills was an incredible venue and made it easy on our wedding day, allowing us to relax through the whole process.

    Perfect venue for Our Perfect Day

    We are so happy that we found and had our wedding at Holly Hills. The venue itself was everything that we ever wanted. From the beautiful rustic venue interior to the beautiful landscape - everything was absolutely breathtaking. The staff is extremely helpful and professional. They truly help couples piece everything together. They assisted us with the final details for our big day from organizing the wedding day timeline, to being a resuource for any last minute questions that we had. Really appreciate how hands on Holly Hills Staff was with the setup of our wedding decoration. The food was so delicious. All of our guests really enjoyed their entree selections and were extremely satisfied with their food choice....Jessica herself is a great resource. She is extremely patient, resourceful, responsive and really caters to the couples needs. We are so happy we chose Holly Hills for our big day and can't thank the Holly Hills staff enough for all of their hardwork and flexibility to make sure we had the most perfect day ever.     We had the best wedding we could ask for!

    We loved everything about our experience with Holly Hills. We planned our wedding in 3 months which would normally be so stressful. Jessica was so helpful planning out the timeline and responsive whenever we wanted to change or needed help with the planning. They were also so accommodating about where we had our ceremony and gave us many options. The food was delicious and all our guests told us that they had a great time.

    An amazing day!

    I could not be happier with my venue. From the beginning everything from the price to food and decor was great! It was a pleasure to work with Jessica and Rachel! We have gotten nothing but compliments on the the venue and the decorations and how well put together everything was.  I could not have been happier with the services they both provided. I did not feel stressed for a single minute and I appreciated that they were both there to help me every step of the way especially with their patience with me with all of my list minute changes. Thank you so much, we were so lucky to have Holly Hills as our venue for our special day.

    Best venue for the best day!

    We are so happy that we had our wedding at Holly Hills! The staff are professional and helped us each step along the way in planning (and answered every email and question!) Although we do not live local to Holly Hills, we never felt as if we were out of the loop. The staff helped our wedding day run smoothly, even when we had hiccups, and having Jessica as a wedding coordinator was such a huge help to us. We also had a tight budget and were able to get the best bang for our buck at Holly Hills. They remained flexible with us and fit our needs. The venue itself is gorgeous, but we were able to bring a lot of our own decorations as well. The staff allowed us to bring everything we needed for the wedding over the night before and they provided a place for the bridal party to get ready the day of. The staff worked well with vendors and gave our photographer a golf cart to use for our photos. We and our guests loved our experience with Holly Hills!

    Planned in 2 weeks!!

    Originally my husband and I had planned to do a courthouse ceremony, but I reached out to Kris at Holly Hills on a whim to see if there would be anyway we could do a small ceremony on the front balcony. He called me right away and without any hesitation said absolutely! That was 2 weeks before our planned date. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue for our small (25ppl) ceremony! Thank you to Mary Kathryn, Taylor and of course Kris for everything that you all did to make our day perfect!

    Dream Come True

    There is absolutely nothing negative I can say about Holly Hills! my husband and I planned our wedding in 4 months and it would not have been possible without Jessica and the team at Holly Hills. From the first visit we felt like we were a part of the family. My husband and his buddies played golf the morning of while me and my ladies got ready at the club. The picture perfect views made for an amazing backdrop for photos of all kinds. I honestly couldn't have had my dream day without this place!

    Wedding planning was made a dream!

    Holly Hills accommodated all of our requests such as special dietary restrictions. Chef was able to help my husband and I create a perfect mix of foods we enjoyed as well as suggested some ideas as well. The food was INCREDIBLE, service was amazing, they always were very responsive and they were always so flexible with us. Truly felt we had such a perfect day!

    Perfect Wedding with Amazing Staff!

    I have nothing but kind words to say about Holly Hills. Being active duty Army, planning our wedding was very overwhelming at times considered I was deployed for most of the process. Jessica and Taylor were incredible and answered any questions/concerns I had in a very timely manner. The day of our wedding went smoother than I could even imagine! The staff was wonderful, food was delicious, and overall experience was incredible. I highly recommend Holly Hills, I wouldn't change a thing about our big day. The staff made sure everything was perfect and handled every detail from table set-up to calming my nerves! Incredible venue.

    October Wedding

    Holly Hills Country Club is a beautiful venue with great staff. Everyone was so helpful and fun to work with, and especially accommodating with our day-before seating floor change. HHCC has a large menu of delicious hor d'oeuvres and main courses to choose from, everyone is bound to find something they like. So glad we chose HHCC for our wedding!

    Very courteous, professional and with a great attention to detail.

    We loved this venue. They provided everything we needed or wanted for our special day. (One of their staff even had to run to the store for a garter for the toss because it was forgotten.) They created a special menu for us as we wanted to have breakfast for dinner. The food was amazing. All of our guests were pleased and our reception was beautiful. Highly recommend.

    Perfect wedding venue!

    My (now) husband and I were looking to have a small, intimate, and more-affordable wedding, and that is exactly what we got at Holly Hills Country Club. We had our wedding on a Sunday in October, and our outdoor ceremony on the hill was beautiful. There are many different places around the golf course to take pictures

    Jessica was amazing throughout the planning process, and Taylor was with us on the wedding day to help the day run as smoothly as possible and assist us with anything we needed. Jessica provided us with a list of recommended vendors that helped make planning easy.

    We looked at other venues, and I think we definitely got the best "bang for our buck" by choosing Holly Hills. If you are looking to get married in the Frederick MD area, I highly recommend checking out Holly Hills Country club for your venue!

    Wedding Review

    Holly Hills was the perfect place to get married! The venue was just what I was looking for - handicap accessible, we had the whole venue for the day, options of indoor/outdoor spaces for ceremony and reception, and within budget. I can't say enough good things about Jessica and her staff. Everyone was very friendly and Jessica was amazing to work with. She answered all my questions and was always available for any last minute requests. The food was delicious on the wedding day. MaryKathryn (our coordinator that was provided) was a big help setting/cleaning up and directing traffic, so I didn't have to worry about it. There was plenty of photo opportunities including the covered bridge. Everything turned out beautifully and this would be a great location for future brides!

    Holly Hills Country Clubs was amazing; both Jessica and Taylor were attentive and made the experience wonderful. Jessica was available for every step of the way and had answers to any problem I foresaw. On the day of the wedding, Taylor went above and beyond to make sure both myself and my husband were comfortable, happy, and taken care of. HHCC took care of all the set up for decorations and the cleanup which helped immensely. I would highly recommend to anyone.

    Holly hills was the perfect
    Place for our dream wedding!
    The venue itself was gorgeous, with an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception that led out to the patio. They were flexible with our event decorator and even accommodated us having a horse and carriage! They brought us down to super cute bridge for our first look. We had so many compliments from our guests about the venue and the food and drink being delicious! We could go on and on about how perfect our wedding was but we can't thank holly hills enough for providing us with the opportunity to have our fairytale wedding come to real life !

    Can I just say wow! Holly Hills truly made our wedding day so special! We knew the first time we visited Holly Hills- that’s the place. I am so happy we decided on Holly Hills!
    Everyone from the general manager- Kris, to Jessica- director of special events, to Mary Katherine who was our wedding day coordinator was such a pleasure to work with and truly cared about our guests and us! The day of, everything ran so smoothly and we didn’t have to think of one thing. Mary Kathryn even personally ran interference before our entrance into the reception, so we could have a minute to breathe after all our pictures! Mary Kathryn truly orchestrated our day beautifully. The food was absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection, the drinks were plentiful, and the room was so spacious even for 145 guests! The venue is absolutely gorgeous (even with cloudy/rainy weather) and we even got to go out onto the covered bridge for some photos! Honestly, I would recommend this to anyone- they have a little bit of everything to fit any idea, theme, or any guest accommodation.

    They are just the best! Jessica, the director of special events is wonderful. They are professional, responsive and flexible. We planned to have an outdoors wedding ceremony but it rained so Mary Katrhryn, our day of coordinator (yes, you get a coordinator!) and the staff moved the ceremony indoors and it was perfect. They took care of every detail. The food was great. All the picky eaters inside our family loved it. Andrew our guest and I had an amazing time.

    Holly Hills was the second stop on our venue search... and that’s where we ended our search. Our first meeting was with Jessica to tour the facility and we were thrilled with everything they had to offer. Holly Hills took care of EVERYTHING! We were the only event for the whole day and we were treated like royalty. Mary Katherine was our “day of” coordinator and she made sure everything was perfect and exactly how I had imagined!! Taylor made sure we never ran out of drinks during pictures and all night long! We couldn’t have asked for a better venue and day. The venue also had plenty of variety for photo opportunities too! Thank you so much Holly Hills!!

    Holly Hills was SUPER accommodating. They were willing to move up our wedding months in advance and even in a time crunch were able to make it the most special and stress free day of our lives. They took care of everything, all we had to do was give them a vision! The venue is beautiful and all of the staff are very pleasant/willing to help make your dreams come true. Mary Kathrine ran our wedding day, and everything was executed perfectly, she did a great job. The food was delicious, the drinks were awesome. The only thing we didn’t like about the venue and experience is that it had to come to an end!

    When we started shopping for wedding venues on a budget we never thought about Holly Hills. After months of looking and looking we decided to visit Holly Hills. Every member of their staff was a delight to work with. Their constant smiles and positive attitudes through the entire process (in case you were wondering weddings are hard work) were a blessing. Directing our every move letting us know what is next and where to be and what to do. Chasing after people that weren't where they needed to be, Taylor was outstanding!! Thank you so much!! The facility is gorgeous. The food amazing. The price was better than we could have hoped for. We had a better than perfect day. I couldn't even believe how well our wedding went. God bless you all that helped us. If you are looking for a wedding venue, look no further!!

    We got married at Holly Hills on 4/28/2018, we had both the ceremony and reception at HH. When we began the venues search/visit, Holly Hills was our top choice as the combination of beautiful and affordable place, fits right in our style and budget. We received so many compliments about how beautiful the place is. The sale director- Jessica was available to answer all of my questions/concerns prior to booking. Molly was our wedding coordinator. Molly was very responsive and helpful throughout the process. We had a traditional Vietnamese ceremony wedding, a little different from usual. Molly was very patient as I changed my mind often during rehearsal. All of the staff was kind, professional and very on top of things. On the day of our wedding, they did a wonderful job set up the ceremony and reception. We gave them our decorations and a few directions and they made everything even better than I imagined. They provided golf carts for us and photographer to go around the property to take pictures. They even provided champagne to me and my bridesmaids as we were getting ready.

    P/S: Though, we were too busy and didn't get to eat much on our wedding date, but got to taste the food at tasting and they were awesome! We didn't think that they would give us full entree of each food choice; and had lunch a few hours prior so we were still too full to eat. Molly let us to take home the food so we can try them slowly.

    A special thanks to Molly, Taylor, and all the staff at Holly Hills to help us making my wedding day perfect! I would highly recommend Holly Hills to future brides.

    Holly Hills was great! Their staff was professional and very on top of things, especially on the day of our wedding. They did a wonderful job of setting up for the receptions. We gave them a few instructions and bam everything was set up perfect when we arrived! They only do one event a day, we had their full attention and space all to ourselves.

    My husband and I got married on 12/29/17 at Holly Hills. When I began searching for a wedding venue I had given up then randomly came across Holly Hills. When I began doing some research they were the most affordable and right in our price range. When we set up our appointment and came to visit we fell in love. From the time that we booked Holly Hills to the very moment our wedding ended Holly Hills helped us with every detail. On 12/29 it was a very cold and blustery day. The General Manager came into greet us, helped us with pictures including having hot water with lemon to keep us from getting frozen. I have already recommended Holly Hills to other brides! A special thank you to Mary-Katherine for all of her hard work and setting everything up just like I had imagined!

    We got engaged in December of 2015 and embarked on a venue hunt around Frederick. When we arrived at Holly Hills, we worked with Jessica, who was very friendly, showed us around the venue and explained everything very well. We loved the view, layout of the venue and the options we would have for our event. She was very responsive in any additional questions and helped us secure a fall 2016 date. We attended their spring bridal event, loved the food and found the staff to be warm as we made several visits during the planning process. During this period, we worked with a coordinator who was pleasant and cooperative, but lacked the responsiveness we had found earlier, sometimes going weeks at a time between replies. It was frustrating, but by being organized on my end, we pressed on. Two weeks before the wedding, Jessica called to tell us that Mary Kathryn, a longtime employee, would be our new coordinator. We were able to set up a meeting with everyone, review the information and go over what we were envisioning. I left feeling very confident that our wedding was going to be great. In that meeting, Mary Kathryn tied up all of the loose ends and even gave us her cell phone number. She was incredibly helpful in letting us set up our cookie table the day before - which was a huge help to us. On the day of, they both greeted us and throughout the evening, they made sure we had our food, drinks, our bridal party was taken care of, everything. They worked seamlessly with the staff to make sure our guests were happy and our event was a success - which it was! Between the food, venue, staff and service, we were beyond pleased with our decision to pick Holly Hills. The room was a good fit for our guests, a band and three cookie tables. We heard a lot of raves about the food - crab mango spoons! and the bar staff. I will recommend them 1,000 times over to brides - there is not a better value and setting for your wedding!     Planning a wedding (and rehearsal dinner!) at Holly Hills was an amazing experience. I worked closely with Abbey Fry, who was always accessible via email and phone (she answered inquiries on the same day, often within an hour!). We also had numerous in-person meetings to make sure every detail came into place just right. A few days before the wedding, we brought her 8 different boxes of decorations with instructions and she made sure everything was set up just right on the actual day. Her and her staff are one of a kind, and the day went off without a hitch because of them.

    The food is incredible - the hardest part of the tasting was narrowing down our options, because we loved everything so much! We ended up doing a buffet style dinner so that guests didn't have to choose between the pork medallions and parmesan-encrusted tilapia. Delicious!! We were also extremely pleased with the bartenders.

    The venue itself is so picturesque. I did a bridal shoot a few months before the wedding and Holly Hills allowed me and my photographer to go on the golf course to get the best shots. The day of the wedding, my husband and I had our first look at the bridge out on the course. I couldn't be happier with how all the photos turned out. We initially wanted to get married outside and have the reception inside, but since our guest list was 200 Abbey suggested that we flip it and get married in the main dining room, have cocktail hour in the upstairs lounge/outside porch and firepit area, and then have our reception outside in a tent where our guests would have more space. It turned out BEAUTIFULLY. The dining room was so lovely and we didn't have to worry about the elements. Having the reception in the tent was perfect as well - 2 of the walls were clear, and so when the sun began to set everyone could see and spontaneously went outside to watch from the hilltop.

    Bottom line, I can't imagine having my wedding anywhere else. An amazing experience from start to finish!

    Holly Hills was the perfect venue for our reception. Abbey Fry, the event coordinator, did a great job managing my party from day one: she helped us pick a delicious menu (the mashed potato bar was a big hit!), she coordinated with all my other vendors to make sure that the event flowed smoothly (even when we deviated from our originally-scheduled timeline), and she made the reception venue look great (we dropped off the decorations with instructions the week before the event and she set them up to perfection). The site is lovely (and they were so accommodating about photography--not only did my groom and I get some lovely pictures around the course on the day of the wedding, we were also able to schedule our engagement session there as well), the food is always delicious (my brother and his wife were also married at this venue), and the staff is friendly, professional, and courteous. I would not hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful site to host a wonderful night of dining, drinking, and dancing.

    My summer wedding at Holly Hills went exactly the way I pictured it! I had Abbey Fry as my event coordinator and she did a fabulous job! I could not thank her enough for all the time she spent over emails and phone conversations with me. She mad me feel completely comfortable to ask any and all questions a soon-to-be bride has when they are planning a big event. She also did a wonderful job the day of the wedding. Being a type-a person, I anticipated that I would be nervous and stressed the morning of my wedding, but thanks to Abbey, I had not a single worry and was able to enjoy my day knowing she would be taking care of all the details! She helped with transitions, worked with my dj and photographer wonderfully, and she also helped orchestrate my sparkler send off! Abbey was a natural at making sure all the details were taken care of from putting a vase in my send off car so my flowers would stay alive, to putting my veil on last minute before I walked down the isle! Holly Hills was such an accommodating venue. I was able to drop things off the night before after my rehearsal, and I was able to get ready the morning of my wedding at the venue. My photographer and I were also able to look at the grounds and plan out some photos prior to the wedding.
    Holly Hills was a very reasonable venue when it came to price since you can customize your menu and pick and chose what you would like. I had my ceremony on the beautiful hill top outside and my reception in the main ballroom. My guests were able to enjoy cocktail hour in the bar/patio area while the wedding party and family took photos. The food was wonderful! We had the chicken marsala, mashed potatoes, and the vegetable medley for the entree. All of these were delicious, along with the crab stuff mushrooms during cocktail hour (Abbey made sure to save a couple of these for my husband and I!) Thank you again Holly Hills for making my wedding a dream come true!

    My husband and I had our ceremony and wedding here on Sept 12. The staff is super professional and attentive. Abbey, the coordinator, worked with us from day one, was very responsive and ensured that the day went off without a hitch! It rained all morning into the early afternoon, Abbey knew that we wanted to have our ceremony outside as planned. Fortunately the rain stopped and we were able to proceed outside as planned, Abbey and her staff worked quickly to ensure that everything was ready to go right on time! I would recommend Holly Hills to anyone looking for a great venue in Frederick County! Thank you for everything you did to make our day perfect!

    Holly Hills is absolutely wonderful and so beautiful! Abbey is great to work with and the staff is great. Everyone loved the food! Bartenders and waiters were on top of everything. We had our ceremony outside and reception inside the dining room. They had everything set up the way we wanted it! The venue is beautiful and set up very well! We could not have asked for a better place to have a wedding.

Not only were they the most friendly and knowledgable staff I have seen but they also provided us with a wonderful reception cite with delicious food! They definitely know what they are doing!     My husband and I got engaged Christmas 2014 and we knew we wanted a short engagement. We found Holly Hills and visited in January and we immediately fell in love with the space! We had a wonderful first meeting with Abbey Fry, the Events and Catering Manager and as soon as we walked out we knew this was going to be our venue. Here's how our experience went:
    Contract: We were given various options and scenarios that helped us stay within our budget.
    Food Tasting: The food was delicious! One of the easiest decisions we had to make.
    Assistance w/ Decor: HH is so beautiful, we didn't have to do much to dress up the place. We kept it simple and classy and Abbey said her team would take care of the set up and take down of centerpieces and flowers.
    Timeline: We spoke about the order of events and she put a timeline together and shared it with our DJ and other vendors.
    Engagement Photos: We were able to come to the venue and get our photo session which was absolutely beautiful. HH has a bridge and barn that make for lovely photos. This was at no additional charge.
    Rehearsal: Abbey made time for us to come in before the rehearsal so we could bring some items and talk about last minute questions.
    Day Of: I had nothing to worry about. Abbey and her team took care of absolutely everything - from greeting the vendors to making sure I was hydrated and that everyone was on time. The reception went without any glitches, we stayed right on schedule and we had guests come up to us constantly to complement us on the beautiful venue and the service. While we added about 35 guests about 3 weeks before the wedding, they were super flexible and used the space creatively as we were a little nervous that space would be too tight. Fortunately that wasn't the case and everyone enjoyed themselves!
    The happiest day of our lives was absolutely perfect at Holly Hills.

    We loved working with Holly Hills for our big day. We used their facilities for our reception and it went very smoothly. Abbey helped us with everything from planning it through the actual event itself, ensuring that all went as planned. It was a reasonable price and the food was great. The facilities are beautiful. It was the perfect amount of space for our guests and the set up was very convenient. Pictures outside were amazing, as they took us on the property to get the best pictures possible. I am very pleased with the atmosphere and overall event that Holly Hills helped us provide on our wedding day!

    My husband and I had our wedding reception dinner at Holly Hills on May 30, 2015. I've attended a handful of dinner events at Holly Hills over the years and was always impressed, but choosing them for our reception was above and beyond what I expected. From the first day we walked in to look around and ask questions, we were treated extremely well and made to feel like our smallish wedding was the most important thing in the world. We worked with Abbey over the course of several months to nail down the details prior to the wedding, and she was remarkably friendly and accessible, and offered us quite a few helpful guidelines and suggestions. When we first started talking to her, we had no idea what we were doing, but she made us feel like pros by the time we were done!

    The day of the wedding was perfect! The staff had everything set up exactly the way we wanted and allowed us to come in very early to set up our own decorations. Our reception took place in HH's lounge area, which was perfect because it had access to the most wonderful outdoor patio that allowed us and our guests to enjoy the beautiful day and the stunning views during our appetizer hour! The service was excellent. Servers were extremely attentive but not annoying, and everyone on staff was so friendly and made our party feel so welcome!

    And then there was the food. The Holly Hills culinary team definitely knows how to make a tasty meal. We got tons of compliments on the food, and the staff made sure we had plenty to go around!

    I can't say enough great things about having our wedding reception at Holly Hills. We are so happy we chose it for our venue, and we can't possibly recommend it more highly. My husband and I are so pleased with the way our wedding turned out, and our guests have expressed to us numerous times how much fun they had. We had a very classy reception for a very reasonable price. If you are considering HH for your wedding, large or small, do it!! You won't be disappointed!

    Holly Hills Country Club was the venue for our wedding reception and it could not have been more perfect! From the most delicious food to the friendliest and most accommodating staff, every step of the planning and execution was easy, fun, and flawless! Holly Hills has a beautiful setting on top of a hill with great vistas for photographs. They have the best staff for planning an event, warm, friendly, fun but completely professional. We loved it so much, we are planning to become members.

    My husband and I got married at Holly Hills Country Club in September and absolutely loved it. The coordinator, Elizabeth, was so helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process from the first day we met through the end of the wedding. She helped answered all of our questions, was very accommodating to our personal needs/wants and made great suggestions for other essential vendors for the day like our cake designer and our reverend. In addition, the staff created such a welcoming environment and really helped to make the day run smoothly. It rained up until 2 hours before our planned outdoor ceremony, but as soon as it stopped raining, the staff was there to quickly help set up for the ceremony before guests arrived. In addition to our wedding, we also had our rehearsal dinner at Holly Hills country club. The food and staff were wonderful for both events. Holly Hills Country Club is a perfect wedding venue with beautiful scenery and wonderful staff to make your special day run smoothly.

    I hosted my rehearsal dinner at Holly Hills and so pleased I did. I worked with Elizabeth and she took care of everything. The food was great and the atmosphere is so nice. There are great places to take photos at the venue site. We had a cocktail hour then a plated dinner followed by cake and coffee. The staff was professional and attentive. The night went off without a problem. I would definitely recommend this venue site!

    Elizabeth, Sara, Abby, and the entire staff really made our day be the BEST DAY EVER! I couldn't have dreamed of a better day! Elizabeth was nothing less than amazing, she was so easy to work with. Not only would she email me wedding ideas, but allowed to me do two food tastings when I wasn't able to come up with a decision for the dinner. Every detail I asked for was there, even when the groomesman forgot the breaking of the glass, Elizabeth ran to get it and made a behind the back pass the the guys:) Every guest has raved about this place and how amazing the day was. We will be using Holly Hills for any special occasion we will have in the future!

    I had a fantastic experience at Holly Hills! Elizabeth O'Connell helped me plan our wedding and her entire staff was just wonderful. My ceremony started a half an hour late (because we waited for some family members to arrive) and their staff just went with the flow. We were able to take amazing photos on the golf course and grounds. Our reception was beautiful and I could not have asked for a better day. The food was absolutely delicious! We gave our guests the option of salmon, chicken, or filet migon for their meal. Most of the guests who had the filet made a point to tell me it was the best filet migon they ever had! I would not have changed a single thing about my wedding. It was truly the best day of my life and I have the staff at Holly Hills to thank for that!

    We held our wedding rehearsal, ceremony & reception at Holly Hills CC. From the moment we saw the venue we loved it; the terrace/lounge/main dining hall, front lawn and beautiful landscape surroundings we're perfect for a fall wedding! Margret, the venue coordinator, was awesome and SO easy to work with! Unfortunatly it rained on our wedding day so we had to change the ceremony from outside to in, but Margret and her crew did a great job transforming the dining hall! The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and went above & beyond. The food was delicious too! Thank you for helping us create the day of our dreams, even with a few set backs! :)

    I can not begin to say how wonderful last night was for everyone. Our guests RAVED about the meal. It was absolutely delicious, and it was also HOT when it was served! Your chef outdid himself! Your waiters and waitresses were so attentive. They anticipated what was needed and they were "on it" before anyone had to ask for a thing. Emily was a true pleasure to work with. If I had a question, she answered it, if we needed something, she took care of it. She was very thoughtful to add some flameless candles to the windowsills--they really added to the warmth of the room. She kept things moving along. When it was time to decorate the car, she had our supplies right there. When it was time for the couple to depart, the birdseed and streamers and bubbles were ready and waiting. She could not have been more helpful to this novice mother of the bride. The entire time, while she dealt with every need, she had that sweet smile on, reassuring that everything was just fine! We had to tell people they needed to stop dancing and go home! Folks, including the bride, had a ball making s'mores at the fire pit. It was such a FUN night. Our Event Coordinators--Elizabeth, Margret and Emily--are a fantastic team. My thanks to you all for the incredible job that you do so very well. You made our evening a very special memory!

    My son was recently married at Holly Hills. We had both the rehearsal dinner and the ceremony and reception at the club. Elizabeth was very helpful with the planning, offering great suggestions and making everything the bride wanted possible. When we had questions, she got back to us immediately. The club looked beautiful and our guests all commented on how nice the staff was. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

    We recently had the pleasure of having my son and new daughter-in-law's wedding at Holly Hills Country Club in Ijamsville, Maryland. I can't say enough wonderful and positive things about our experience at Holly Hills from start to finish. From the the day the newlyweds chose Holly Hills as their venue the staff could not have been more helpful or supportive. From giving us lists of vendors, officiants, timetables, menus for the receptions, ( as well as for the rehearsal dinner they catered at our home the night before the event) they made a time that could very well be fraught with indecision and anxiety into a pleasant and relaxed journey that culminated in a beautiful day for all of us, and our guests as well. On the wedding day they stepped in and made sure that not only the bride was made comfortable and had ample time and space to prepare herself at their lovely facility but the entire bridal party as well. The vendors we chose for flowers, photography cake, DJ, etc. all had nothing but rave reviews for the help they received from Holly Hills and their excellent staff. The ceremony was held outdoors on a particularly fantastic early fall evening on the broad expanse of yard behind the Country Club and we really couldn't have asked for a more beautiful spot. We had a cocktail hour in the lovely outdoor patio area and the food and drink were excellent and there was never a problem with keeping everyone supplied with plenty of both!! The reception went off without a hitch indoors with a beautiful and bountiful buffet with all the favorites the newlyweds had requested. I clearly am very delighted to give such a superlative review, and need to single out Elizabeth O'Connell, as the mover and shaker I would most like to credit and thank for everything turning out so beautifully. I certainly won't hesitate to choose Holly Hills for any upcoming event for our family, whether it be there at H.H.C.C., or an at-home catering event!! Melanie Williamson

    We thought we were only getting an event venue but in Margret Kostolansky we also got a superb event planner and coordinator. She had great ideas and worked smoothly and professionally with all of our vendors. The setting was beautiful, the food delicious and Margret and her gracious staff made sure everything went smoothly and that everyone had a great time.

    My husband and I were married at Holly Hills Country Club on August 9, 2013 and we couldn't have been more pleased with our entire experience. I worked closely with Elizabeth O'Connell for months and she was awesome! The entire staff was friendly, welcoming and professional to us when we came up for meetings, tastings and plannings and of course the rehearsal and on the day of the wedding. The main dining room, lounge and lobby area were recently renovated and looked absolutely gorgeous. We were married outside on the lawn and the scenery made pictures breathtaking. So many of our guests had many wonderful things to say about how great everything looked. I would highly recommend this beautiful and elegant wedding venue to anyone in the Frederick area! Our wedding was everything we dreamed of!

    People told me all through my planning that SOMETHING would go wrong on the big day and when it did, not to worry because no would know but me. Well ... NOTHING went wrong because the Holly Hills staff was so attentive to every detail! It was truly the most amazing day if my life ... because of how much they handled for me! I didn't have to worry about a thing except smiling at my new husband and guests! Thank you, Holly Hills! You made my day the best!

    Holly Hills was the absolute most wonderful venue we could have imagined for our wedding.

    First of all, they offer a wedding coordinator who is incredibly helpful and included in the cost of the venue, which is INCREDIBLY affordable, especially when you consider the surrounding area. I planned most of the wedding from out of state because of my job and I cannot say enough about how helpful they were. I worked with Margret who was AMAZING. She is professional, organized, and so kind. She offered advice, coordinated with my vendors during the week prior to the wedding and was hands on the day of the wedding ensuring everyone was perfect. If anything went wrong, I had no idea because everything ran so smoothly.

    Also, let me say a quick word about Emily who is the new wedding assistant and was there to work with us as well. She was very sweet and though I didn't have the same history with her, she was hands on, also coordinating day of events and provided that additional support we needed - what a sweet person to have around!

    Not only are the people lovely, but the venue is GORGEOUS and we had a PERFECT day.

    All in all, our wedding was incredible and quite possibly the most perfect day I could have ever imagined, if not even more so - in LARGE part to the wonderful staff and DELICIOUS food (lest i forget to mention - soooo yummy) at Holly Hills. Thank you so much!

    Holly Hills was beautiful and beyond perfect for our ceremony and reception. I thought it was a huge bonus that the country club does the catering. An even bigger bonus was that the food was so delicious. Margret, the on-site wedding coordinator, was great. She was extremely responsive and helpful both before and during the wedding. She helpd coordinate with vendors and helped time the entire day. The staff at HH did a lovely job setting up and breaking down everything at the end of the night. Our wedding went off without a hitch and I cannot thank Margret and the rest of the Holly Hills staff enough!

    The staff at Holly Hills was great and Margret was absolutely amazing! She answered all of my questions in a timely manner, and on the day of the wedding, she was on top of everything making sure the day went smooth. I heard that the steaks were a bit rare for some of the guests, but the staff was more than happy to take back and cook the steaks more for guests that requested it. I got so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was, how professional and helpful the staff were and how delicious the food was, especially the appetizers. All in all, a FANTASTIC venue.

    Finding a wedding venue was the hardest part of our planning. After changing our date for one site, we had to cancel because they schedule another wedding right before ours and we could not occupy the site until 530pm. We freaked, and immediately expanded our search outside of the beltway in the hopes to find something.

    We had never considered places near Frederick - it seemed too far away. not the case. its an hour from Ballston, and the downtown area is like Georgetown without the snobs. Its really alive on Friday and saturday nights with street music and folks everywhere. We visited several times to meet vendors, had a great dinner at several different places on Market St, using the visits to find a rehearsal dinner spot. We have been to Frederick 3 times in the 2 months since our wedding. its a really cool town.

    --Finding Holly Hills: Aside from being hard to find, everything about our first site visit was a pleasure. We fell in love with the beautiful view, flexible floor plan, and outdoor areas throughout the venue. We booked immediately.

    --Margret: Holly Hills has a Wedding Specialist that was one of the biggest selling points for us. Margret made a fantastic impression on first contact. She was able to meet anytime, and demonstrated organization, flexibility, and experience immediately. we traveled up there 4 times during our wedding planning - everything else was handled.

    --Planning: We had lots of questions on how to best plan a wedding. Margret did such a good job helping us understand what was actually important in our planning. As we picked our vendors (cake, DJ, photographer, transportation, flowers, etc), we introduced them to Margret and she handled all the coordinating from there. It was so cool. She also coordinated all our linens, chair rental, tent rental, etc., providing us options and doing the legwork to get it ordered. she showed us all the different table arrangements and the pros and cons of each setup.

    --Menu: We wrestled with menu options. Margret told us immediately what we wanted, and we did not figure out that she was right until 2 months later! We asked for a second tasting when we shifted our menu and she was more than willing to oblige.

    --Rehearsal: with a family emergency the day of our rehearsal, the officiant was not able to attend. Margret did a great job walking us through the task, giving great advice, explaining timing and how should would coordinate the day of.

    --Day of: Fantastic day. everything went so smoothly (in our eyes...the HH staff was hard at work making sure that everything was perfect). When the arch we were getting married under blew over and crushed the flowers, they sprung into action getting help from all available staff to repair it so well that nobody even noticed (the only evidence is the photographer documenting it...). Wedding was outside and beautiful! We were provided a golf cart to shoot around the course and take photos. food was fantastic and perfectly timed. Drinks were strong and came fast. Everyone had so much fun.

    --Morning After: I've been to several wedding where folks scrambled at the end of the night to take home everything that was prohibited from being left. Not here. We were asked to lock the gift box in a car, and they picked up everything else and held it safe until the morning. we were able to continue enjoying the night and stopped by for 10 minutes in the morning to get out gifts and thank the staff for such an awesome job.

    In the end, my parents enjoyed the site so much, they inquired about the cost before pressing my sister to consider HH for when she gets married. I would recommend HH to anyone.

    My daughter's wedding was April 30 2011. We had a wonderful time and the staff was incredible they treated us like family and we were a difficult bunch to deal with. The bartenders were INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Margret Kostolansky was FANTASTIC!!!!! you would have thought we were part of her family. Any doubts or fears we had she was there for us so accomodating. I can't say enough about Margaret!!!!! My husband and I are so taken and impressed by Margaret that we are planning our 31st 2012 anniversary with her already :)

    Margret was a huge help and responded quickly to my emails. I planned my wedding from a 1000 mile away. she was very easy to schedule appointments with and was very flexible with my time constraints.

    Margaret has helped me with the wedding reception for both my daughter's wedding. In the case of my first Daughter's wedding, she was hired 3 or 4 months before our wedding, and we had gone through several staff members by that time. When Margaret stepped in, everything began to go smoothly. She and her staff were attentive to details and provide us with a beautiful wedding reception. With my second daughter's wedding, we worked with Margaret from the beginning and never had to worry about a thing. I would trust her to plan the whole wedding, just that my daughters and I had such fun doing some of the planning. Wedding dates were 09-20-03 and 05-22-10.

    I couldn't have picked a better venue than Holly Hills Country Club. Living in MD, it is very hard to find an elegant venue with a good price tag. The grounds are gorgeous-- I got comments all day and after the wedding about how beautiful it was. The staff were amazing-- great service with a smile. They took care of the setup/take down for the event with barely any instruction from me. They were courteous and very helpful. Anything my guests wanted or needed they did their best to take care of quickly and efficiently. Holly Hills also did the catering-- the food was AMAZING and we received compliments about it all night (it's definitely true that guests remember bad food--we didn't have that problem in the least). The wedding Coordinator, Margaret, was a godsend. Even though I planned my own wedding, any questions or concerns I had she helped with. I could email her at any time of the night and she would email back as soon as she could. She helped with all the small details (she definitely knows what she's doing) and I didn't have to worry about anything with her there. We received sub-par service from another vendor but with a little of Margaret's creativity, the problem was fixed and my nerves were calmed. DEFINITELY go with Holly Hills-- it is worth the money and so much more!

    Wonderful site with great people! My husband and I got married at Holly Hills in October and couldn't have been happier with our venue choice. We shopped around before selecting Holly Hills, and were pleasantly surprised to learn their food and beverage prices were much more affordable than other country/golf clubs in the greater Frederick area. Working with Margaret, Holly Hills' wedding coordinator, was excellent from start to finish. Margaret is very accommodating, organized, and easy to work with. She sent me a list of things to remember to bring about a week before the wedding as well as a document with all our wedding details that was periodically updated through the wedding process. Our ceremony and reception went off without a hitch. My guests commented on how comfortable they felt at the site - and it shows in the pictures of them dancing and having a good ol' time. They really enjoyed the cocktail hour, with the doors opened onto the terrace. The food was great - people especially liked the crab-stuffed mushroom caps and bacon-wrapped scallops that we served during the cocktail hour. Pictures turned out wonderfully; there are lots of great outdoor spots around Holly Hills for beautiful backdrops, including the covered bridge, tall grasses, views of the club, the balcony... the list goes on! I enthusiastically recommend Holly Hills as a wedding ceremony and reception venue.

    We had our reception at Holly Hills, and it was the perfect venue for our special day. Margaret was so wonderful to work with, she was very flexible, responsive and helpful in making decisions. This day can be so very overwhelming but she worked so hard to make everything perfect and that is exactly what it was.

    Our ceremony was at a church, but Holly Hills was our reception site and we could not have had a better experience.

    This vendor was the best vendor involved with my daughter's wedding. My guests were treated like royalty, the food was fabulous, and the service was outstanding. My questions and concerns were handled promptly, professionally, and always very graciously.

    I cannot say enough about how fantastic Margaret and the staff at Holly Hills were leading up to and on my wedding day. My wedding was incredible and that was largely because of the tireless work of Margaret, in getting all the little details settled and in making sure things went smoothly on wedding day.

    Margaret was always available to answer my questions. I live in Pa., but that did not stop Margaret from being available for me. My mom met with her often at the club since I couldn't be there in person. I corresponded with Margaret mostly through emails. She always responded promptly. When I was in Maryland, I was late to meet with her, but she waited for me nonetheless. She also had assistants available to reach when she wasn't there.

    Margaret provided excellent service and advice throughout the planning process. She is a wealth of knowledge about the wedding industry. She knows many vendors and can suggest them if you wish, but wont push them on you. She suggested our florist and he did a great job as well. She is organized, professional, and experienced.

    On the wedding day, I was able to relax and enjoy the day. I left everything to Margaret and she made the day go smoothly. Our timeline got slightly off because the groom and groomsmen mistakenly took the shuttle instead of their limo, through no fault of Margaret; she made sure to coordinate with all the other vendors to push things back. I�m sure it was quite a feat to coordinate everything especially with the shuttle mishap, but no one, including myself, noticed any problems. Because it rained on wedding day, she made sure the bridesmaids and wedding party were covered by umbrellas walking the short distance from the clubhouse to under the tent where the ceremony took place. She took charge, but did it all behind the scenes. As a result, I stayed calm and relaxed throughout the day.

    I also must mention Katie, another Holly Hills Associate who made the day. She was so great to my bridesmaids and especially to me. She is such a friendly person that just talking to her calmed me down. A piece of my hair came out of the chignon right before the ceremony and a bobby pin wouldn�t fix it without looking awkward, but Katie saved the day with hair spray that kept it down!

    I highly recommend Holly Hills for a wedding, other reception, or event. The staff is second to none. The clubhouse and course are beautiful.

    Extremely helpful, friendly and a total pleasure to work with. Would recommend to anyone who was looking for a wedding venue.

    Margret was such a pleasure to work with! She was consistently professional, responsive; her presence at Holly Hills helped planning the wedding that much easier. Also the food was excellent!

    I can't say enough about Margret and Holly Hills Country Club! The club was beautifully decorated, the food was fantastic and Margret had everything coordinated perfectly! I never once had to turn around and look for Margret to settle an issue, she had everything under control. All the feedback from the guests have said everything was perfect, they thought the food was superb and the location gorgeous!     Everything about Margret and Holly Hills was excellent. From our first meeting, we knew this was the place and quit looking. We were willing to change our choice of dates just to find an opening here. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything about our experience was a pleasure. Holly Hills took care of decorating, catering, ordering chair covers, bar...everything for the reception. In addition, all the folks they recommended for photography and dj services turned out to be excellent choices. We were very pleased with the entire process. The reception turned out the be the easiest part of the whole wedding planning.

    Margaret and her staff were wonderful, flexible, and very proffesional. I was able to reach Margaret by e-mail daily, and got a response right away every time.
    She kept things moving on the big day, I didn't even have to think or check my watch. I would book them again, if I had another daughter.
