Amazing experience!

All I can say is WOW! I am so glad that we decided to have our wedding here. Lesley was so incredibly helpful from the beginning of the wedding planning process. She was always there to answer all of my questions (and I had a lot!) and she was always so friendly! I can’t even begin to explain how amazing this venue was for our wedding. We had a beach ceremony and had our reception in the Saltaire Room! It was absolutely breathtaking. Lesley and her staff decided the entire room for us and it was perfect!! It was beautiful and I couldn’t have done it better myself. Also, all of the staff was SO nice!! They were making sure we were taken care of the entire time we were there, not just our wedding day.

Wedding vow renewal

We have been coming to this location for 25 years and it was a major factor in choosing it for our celebration. I would gladly advise anyone to use this venue. Leslie Montee and her staff are beyond amazing and professional.

Absolutely Amazing

I spent months talking to Lesley, planning and organizing and figuring out details for our wedding. She was extremely helpful! Fast forward to the big day, all the staff working were extremely kind and did an amazing job! Thank you all so much!

The perfect wedding venue!

We got married there on July 3, 2022 and it was an amazing and magical experience! The staff was very detail-oriented and gave us everything we needed to make the day perfect! The food is very good, too and the location is on a gorgeous beach! I highly recommend them!

Awesome experience

Best of everything! Food, friendly staff, reception area amazingly decorated, gave us recommendations on dj, photographer, cake! Allowed us to bring the ring bearer( shih tzu) . Best Customer service from Lesley ever!!!

Outstanding Hotel and Employees

Dream Wedding

Our friends and family , all from up north, loved the convenience of having all the wedding events in one location. The staff was so attentive to all our needs at the rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception. They made us feel like Caitlin and Brendan's wedding was the most important event of the year. It was beautiful and everything the bride and groom had dreamed of for their beach wedding.

What a great choice!!

Phenomenal

Amazing vendor, event planner, and beautifully renovated!

We were married at Holiday Inn oceanfront on July 24th, 2020. Lesley was spot on fantastic when my now husband and I contacted her to help us plan our wedding in less than 2 weeks (during a pandemic)! She was extremely professional, quick to reply to any questions we had, and planned our day to perfection! The newly renovated Oasis room was beautiful and perfect for our small intimate reception. The staff was professional and our bartender was amazing (our guest raved about his excellent attentiveness and service!). We couldn't be happier about choosing this location for our special day.

Responsive and Helpful

The Coordinator at the Holiday Inn, Ms. Montee was phenomenal. During the planning of my daughter's wedding, CoVid came along and things came to a halt. As South Carolina started opening up, I contacted Ms. Montee and she assured my daughter and I all would be fine. And, it was. The food was wonderful, the reception staff was great and all was well. The ceremony on the outside deck in the morning was just as we all imagine; breathtaking. I would recommend the Holiday Inn for anyone's wedding, big or small.

The best staff ever!

Lesley, Erica, and the whole staff at Holiday Inn Oceanfront Surfside are so wonderful! They are the nicest and sweetest people ever. They made our special day and our whole stay the best! We can't thank them enough.

It was simply the best day of our lives!!!

Our wedding went perfect venue was beautiful and the staff was great. Best day of our life. My husband and I absolutely enjoyed every bit of it from our beach Ceremony To cocktail hour at the poolside to the reception inside. Also there was a beautiful view of the ocean during the reception it was absolutely perfect!! The rooms are super clean and newly redone. Highly recommend for weddings so easy with planning. They do it all!!

Excellent Service

This venue first caught my attention because the price was far better than other venues near Myrtle Beach. Lesley the event manager was superb, we were making plans from a country away and she made it a breeze with constant communication. The food was great, the staff the night of were the sweetest and ensured we were taken well care of. This venue met my expectations and then some.

The Perfect Wedding Reception

My entire experience with the Holiday Inn was perfect!! I had a smaller reception and they worked with my and were very flexible with giving me exactly what I wanted!! Leslie was GREAT and made planning my wedding reception extremely easy and fun! I would definitely recommend them to any bride looking to have the perfect reception on the beach!

Pure Perfection!!!
My day was AMAZING!! Lesley was AMAZING!! She made me feel as if I were the only bride she was preparing for! The staff was great and the space was perfect!! Lesley was perfect. Her and her staff were quick and readily available to not only myself but my family that either had questions or needed something. And let's talk about the food. We could not be happier with having our reception at Holiday Inn. To be honest we never intended on getting married on the beach. It was really because of wedding wire and reaching out to different vendors that we chose HI. Lesley was super responsive and helped us so much! I cannot thank Lesley and the staff at HI enough for making our day even more special! I highly recommend using HI for your reception venue.

My daughter's wedding was held at surfside holiday inn . We were very pleased with the service . Everyone was so helpful with everything . I was so happy with how much help they gave us with decorating and undecorating and storing everything for us till the next morning. It really could not have been any easier or went any better . The staff is amazing and great to work with. Would recommend for anyone wanting the beach wedding experience for the price. Thanks for a great venue

I was very impressed with the service we received for my daughters wedding. Everyone was so wonderful and warm. I especially want to give a special shout out to Tama in the Tiki Bar. She made our stay so much more fun!! Also Lesley who was so patient with me in planning the wedding, I am so thankful for you. One other person that made us feel so welcome was Terry at the front desk. He was a breath of fresh air. All the housekeepers were so sweet and even commented on how beautiful the wedding was and complimented my daughter on her dress. Thanks so much to all of you . We plan to return next December!

Holiday Inn Oceanfront was great! We absolutely loved it! Everyone was so helpful and nice. We had our ceremony on the pool deck and reception in the shoreline restaurant and the decorating team did a great job it looked beautiful!

Lesley, Lauren and the other staff did awesome job putting our wedding together. The food was great. I send them pictures how I wanted the display and they put a smile on my face. They are easy to work with. They were like friends to me. I enjoyed having phone conversations and email with them. They were easily to work with.

FIVE STARS
The Holiday Inn Ocean front in Surfside provided the best service for a wedding reception. My guest, from out of town, had a beautiful hotel room to stay , on site, not to mention a place to get ready. Leaslie, the event coordinater, was helpful in every way. The packet of venders, DJ, cake decoraters, ect., was helpful in completing my reception. I had lights put up above the dance floor, Leslie took care of that. She went above and beyond introducing me to the staff that I'd be dealing with and even stopping by on a Saturday night to bid Congratulations. The Assistant GM ,Mike was helpful and curtious at the front desk.

EASY. Lesley is incredibly helpful, does a lot of weddings and events and knows exactly what she needs to know to get your wishes done. There was no nickel-and-diming, we used their centerpieces, their tiki torches for the aisle, there was no cake-cutting fee or cost for using their cutting utensils - no drama day of, everything went really well. We dropped off the decorations a day ahead of time and everything was just out and done when we got there. I received so many estimate updates there was no question about costs. Easy easy easy, recommended for those looking for low-effort.

although the ceremony was supposed to take place on the beach outside of the hotel, you guys did an exceptional job, with the help of Beach Occasions, of truly transforming the reception room to accommodate both the ceremony and reception.. Everything was beautiful!! I loved how thee staff arranged everything that I had sent, including the candy buffet!!!!

everything was beautiful for last minute preparations since the storm came through. The only thing I was unhappy with was the amount of food leftover that I could not take with me.

The vendors ware amazing! They went above and beyond to make our day special. The workers handled absolutely everything. The location was clean and they were very welcoming. Lesley and Ray were amazing they made sure I was realaxed and stress free on the big say.

Our first call on our search to locate a venue was pretty much sealed with the enthusiasm shown for their love of hosting receptions. The staff did everything to make our reception exactly what we wanted. They were available to answer all questions via phone or email whenever they arose. We established a nice rapport where we would chat about things not only related to our wedding, but down to the weather and plans for the weekend. Our final meeting, the day before, solidified any remaining items such as decorations we provided for them to display accordingly. We did not have to set up or clean up one thing as Everything was handled by the staff. You can't ask for more than to walk into your reception after marrying the Love of your Life to find Everything is done to perfection. Peace, Love, and Happiness!!!

Lesley and the staff at Holiday Inn were amazing to work with! After reading other reviews about Holiday Inn and how pleased other brides were I knew I had to look further into having my wedding there. From the first visit my now husband and I made we knew this would be where our wedding would take place. Lesley was always quick to answer any emails I sent and answered all of our questions! She was very helpful since we were planning our wedding from out of state. She recommended many vendors and gave us a lot of information about weddings held in the Surfside/Myrtle Beach area. We held our rehearsal dinner at the hotel as well and it was wonderful. Our wedding reception looked beautiful! Everything went perfect!! The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! Lesley and the Chef worked with my husband and I to make the menu more personalized instead of by the menus they provided. My only complaints would be some guests had to find staff members to get their drink (water or tea) and when there was a spill on the dance floor none of the staff members brought a towel to help clean up (another vendor brought us some napkins). We also did not get any of our cupcakes back from the reception and there were many leftover. Also, my father and another guest received parking tickets since they had to park in metered spaces outside of the parking lot because it was full due to two weddings going on that evening. They were told the hotel could not do anything about it and my father called the manager and they took care of the tickets. Other than those hiccups, the day could not have been anymore perfect!

Our ceremony was held in front of the hotel on the beach, and our reception was held inside in the Plantation Ballroom. Everything was flawless! The staff was amazing, the food was excellent, they had everything set up wonderfully. I had a gorgeous wedding/reception that looked like it cost way more than it actually did. I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting an amazing day without a lot of stress. They were there to answer any of my questions and helped turn my visions into a reality. I can't thank them enough for helping bring my dream wedding to life!

Leslie was wonderful! They really went out of their way to decorate for our reception and the servers were right there to accommodate all of our guests. Thanks to everyone there!

Leslie did a wonderful job with the wedding. She was very responsive and everything was perfect for our day. I was able to leave everything in the hands of the staff and enjoy my wedding day. Would highly recommend the staff and location to anyone getting married.

We had our reception in the oceanfront restaurant at Holiday Inn. How beautiful! The room itself matched our theme/ colors perfectly (we did a rustic beach theme with colors royal blue/ indigo and yellow). The room is beautifully and simply decorated (even before our decorations went up). The decorating team and sales/ catering manager that we worked with, Lesley, were AMAZING. did not give them specific instructions with our burlap/ mason jar/ beach theme, but somehow they knew EXACTLY what I was looking for. Our reception was just so beautiful and I could not have asked for a better team to work with. We also paid an independent planner and I felt that the crew at Holiday Inn were more helpful than the planner! Always kept in close touch, and were so easy to work with long distance (we live in New York).

My wedding was absolutely perfect and went off without a hitch. Lesley was wonderful to work with as were all the staff. They made everything look beautiful and made sure everyone and everything was well taken care of. I would recommend them to anyone! You will not be disappointed. Our wedding reception was held at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront Hotel. The whole experience was amazing. They were great on giving their ideas and suggestions, seeing as how they do this almost every weekend. There were 3 wedding receptions going on at the same time as mine; however, the staff handled it very professionally. You never even knew we were not the only event. The staff even decorates the room for you. FANTASTIC! Because who really has time to do that? They allow you to bring in your own decorations to add to theirs if you desire. But still, they will set them up so you do not have to worry!

The staff even will set the reception room up for the ceremony if you see that the weather is not going to cooperate that day!

THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!!! BEST CATERING FOOD EVER! We went with the trip to italy buffet! All the guests are still talking about how much they enjoyed our food choice! The trip to italy buffet comes with spagetti, lasagna, chicken parm, chicken alfred, sausage and peppers, veggies, salad, and bread! AWESOME!

HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

We had our ceremony on the beach directly in front of the Holiday Inn Oceanfront and then the reception was held inside of the hotel. Everyone on the staff from the Sales Staff to the banquet servers were absolutely amazing and helped us with everything! The rooms were clean and the set up was perfect. I would definitely recommend any couple using them for their wedding! Our food was excellent and exactly what we wanted and they truly did everything we asked! They made us feel very special and took the stress out of everything!

We were planning the wedding long distance. Everyone at the venue was extrememly helpful and was flexible to meet our schedule when we were in town. Leslee was wonderful with her sugestions and vendor suggestions. We were married on the beach in front of the hotel and had the reception in the hotel. Everything went off without a hitch becuase of the planning and professionalism of the staff of the hotel. I would highly recommend this venue.

The Holiday Inn Oceanfront at Surfside really exceeded my expectations for my beach wedding. A friend of mine had her wedding here as well and recommended them too me. Leslie Montee was so helpful and quick to respond to my questions and desires for my wedding. The food the hotel provided was absolutely delicious and the presentation was perfect. My guests all enjoyed the cleanliness and beautiful rooms they stayed in all weekend. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone hoping for the beach wedding of their dreams. They really took the stress out of an otherwise stressful situation. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Lesley and the Staff at the Holiday Inn in Surfside Beach were just wonderful. They were so accommodating and just easy to deal with. They all made sure that our day was special and just perfect. The only reason why I took off any mark is because I think the hotel room rates are a little high but that is not something that Lesley or her staff really handle; that would be the management. We had our ceremony on the beach and the reception in the restaurant. Their wait staff went out of their way to make sure that my husband and I had everything we wanted. I would definitely recommend the Holiday Inn Oceanfront in Surfside Beach, SC to any future bride!!! Thank you Lesley, Ray and staff for all you did for us!

Leslie and staff at the Holiday Inn were fantastic to work with and assisted us to prepare a wonderful reception. Any issues were resolved quickly. The only issue we really found was that the food (flounder noted by guests) was not that good. All was great otherwise.

My daughter's wedding on the bocce ball court turned out beautiful! The renovation of the pool deck looks great and it was a wonderful surprise when we finally saw it. Lesley was great to work with. She always returned phone calls and was easy to discuss plans with. Our guests that stayed at the hotel had a very positive stay. We loved the whole wedding experience at this Holiday Inn.

Lesley, Lauren and Holiday Inn were amazing! Like I have said a million times, it exceeded my expectations. I gave Lesley a box of decor, place cards, favors, etc. and she and her staff put everything together and it looked awesome!! It took a huge weight off my shoulders not having to worry about all of that. The sand dredging in Surfside was going on while we were there so we were unsure until day of if we were moving the ceremony to the Surfside pier or having it at our original location (Holiday Inn). Hours before the wedding, after Sabrina (from Beach Occasions) and Lesley attempted to find out about the dredging, we decided it would happen at our original location. It was a dream come true!

The food was outstanding at our event. The service staff were accommodating to all of our requests. Ask for the newest renovated rooms ocean front since there are no honeymoon suites. Connecting rooms and the location of rooms was an issue since the sales dept can not book the rooms in advance only take requests. You will not know until check in if your requests are honored. Ours requests were yet this was an issue for me due to children and the need for connecting rooms. You will pay a set up take down fee for chairs on the pool deck but you have to set them up yourself they do take them down for pick up. I asked for some of the ceiling tiles to be changed and the return vents cleaned prior to the event which they did. Lesley and Lauren were very helpful and responsive. As the mother of the bride I would recomend this property to my friends and family.

I did enjoy our reception there but there are things I feel could have been avoided. They made a over head announcement in my reception for my guest to move there cars. Our cocktail hour was suppose to be held on pool deck which happened inside. Not what we discussed. There were 2 weddings going on that night so our reception was short 2 waiters so dinner took a long time. We had 90 guests in the ocean view room too small and it got hot! I would like to add Lesley was very nice and flexible when planning our wedding. The staff in our reception were very friendly. Food was good. Even with the minor hiccups my guest had a blast.
