We used Hog Wild in Derby and worked with Bob. He is outstanding to work with and had everything hot and ready to go when our dinner started. We served over 350-360 people and there was plenty of food. We also had them serve and provide drinks. The lines move quickly and everyone commented on how much food they were given too. I would highly recommend working with Bob in Derby. Food was excellent too! -
User2409321 Sent on 11/04/2015We got so many compliments on the food for our wedding, every single person loved it! We got the turkey and the pulled pork and wow!!! It was the best!!! We had people fighting over the left overs!!!! They were so easy to work with and did everything for us, it was probably the easiest part of the entire wedding! Thanks so much to Hog Wild!!!! -
User2383904 Sent on 10/22/2015Hog Wild did a great job with our rehearsal dinner (approx. 80 people). They were on time and ready to go and they provided us with tins to take home the leftovers (which came in handy for the groomsmen's lunch the next day!). They did an amazing job and there was no shortage of food.

User2283559 Sent on 08/24/2015Hog Wild is so great to work with!! They provide everything you need and are on their toes to cover anything that might have been forgotten. They are very attentive during your event to make sure everything stays filled and if there are any left overs they package them up for you to take at the end of the night! Our wedding had 280 guests and Hog Wild took care of everything without a second thought! -
User1914426 Sent on 11/10/2014Everyone complimented us on our food-- Hog Wild knows BBQ, best place and price point. They set the whole thing up, refilled buffet style and packed everything up and we kept the left overs. It was delicious!

Alexi Sent on 06/25/2017We got our wedding catered from the Lawrence location and Jeremy was VERY nice in answering all of our questions and accommodating to our free taste trial. We found them at a wedding show and, let me tell you, I don't like macaroni but theirs is TO DIE FOR. Not only is their meat juicy and tender but the sides are delicious AND the portions are generous. The staff was incredibly helpful during our taste test and the prices are VERY good for BBQ at a wedding--thank you for not taking advantage of newlyweds as so many vendors do!!! The only reason I give four stars is that there was only one person serving the food for 100 people (it was buffet style but he had a difficult time getting food unwrapped quickly enough) and I wish they would have left even a little bit behind because I only ended up having time to much a little on one plate and would have loved to have something to eat at the end of the night. The food was great, people loved it, we will definitely be stopping by the restaurant anytime we are in Lawrence! -

I decided to use hog wild for my wedding because I love their food and they seemed like the best option at the time. The day of the wedding the food tasted good and the servers had everything set up nice and neat and packaged it up at the end. What makes me disappointed in hog wild is their lack of professionalism. Out of all my vendors, hog wild is the only one I had an issue with. The issue was with the address. The day of the wedding I get a phone call from hog wild and he asks the address. I tell him and he says it doesn’t exist. I give him another option to use because some GPS doesn’t recognize one over the other. (I know sounds crazy) My husbands phone GPS would only find the venue on one address whereas my gps will only pull it up on the other. I try to give him specific directions and tell him that there will be signs and he continues to argue with me saying that’s not right and says that my phone number is the phone number he has and if he can’t find it then he will call back. He doesn’t ask if there is someone else’s phone number he can have. I want just as much as him for my guests to have food so we both want the same end result. He just didn’t need to be unprofessional and cause unnecessary stress. None of my other vendors had issues or caused that much stress for me.Hog Wild Pit Bar-B-Q's reply:

On behalf of Hog Wild I apologize for the extra stress that was added to your big day. Please if you could give me the location that the catering came from and I will get to the bottom of this asap.
