  Amazing wedding photography-we could not be happier!!

  Hubert and Alka were amazing to work with!! They were prompt and very kind when responding to emails and answering questions. We decided not to do an engagement shoot so the first time we met them in person was the day of our wedding and they instantly made us feel very comfortable! They are so accommodating and are very good at what they do! They got phenomenal candid shots but were also great at quickly explaining to us how to pose for some perfect wedding portraits. They also knew where the lighting and shadows would be good/not so good based on the sun. It is clear they have a lot of experience in wedding photography. We got a "sneak peak" of over 40 edited photos sent to us in less than a week, which was amazing so we could quickly order personalized thank you notes. We are so so happy with our wedding photos, they came out so beautifully!! Hubert and Alka are truly so talented. They did a fantastic job, you will not regret going with HK Photography!

  The best wedding photographers!

  Hubert and Alka were amazing! Our wedding photos came out incredible and we are so obsessed with them. They did such a great job capturing our special day, we could not have asked for photographers. Besides the amazing photos, Hubert and Alka were extremely helpful with the planning process, my husband and I were from out of town and they helped us choose a location for pre-ceremony photos and build our wedding day timeline. They also recommended a videographer, who ended up being amazing too! Hubert and Alka were extremely organized, personable, and really fun to work with on our big day. We would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

  The best dynamic duo

  Hubert & Alka - You both are amazing and have most definitely found your calling. Such an EPIC dynamic duo.
  The day of our engagement session the forecast flipped on us and was a rainy hazy mess. We had already traveled in the night before from NJ so we decided we would take our chances and make the best of it. As much blog digging I did prior to our session I had fully trusted that Hubert and Alka would create a beautiful session regardless of what mother nature handed us. AND that they did.
  As soon as we got into our car we knew that the photos would be epic. We had such a good time with these two; they are an awesome duo. They took turns with shots and directed us the perfect amount.
  The first sight of our blog post we were both in such awe. We already had known they would be great, and that indeed they were GREAT! They actually made it difficult for us to pick our save the date photo!
  We are so happy with our decision of having Hubert and Alka with us on the biggest day of our lives.
  We have nothing but positive thoughts and are looking forward to working with these to again.

  Beautiful Photos!

  Hubert and Alka did an excellent job capturing our day! They were a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. They did a wonderful job taking the more traditional family photos and the more artistic portraits using a variety of different settings. We're thrilled with all of the details that were documented and so grateful for the wonderful work that they did. Highly recommend!!!

  One of a Kind

  The compassion and art that flows out of this fantastic duo is out of this world. We selected Hubert and Alka for our big day and could not have been happier. They both came up with unique and complimenting poses, angles, and ideas that made our photos unique. Leading up to the event, they were very easy to work with. Working with them on the day of, even easier. They are cool cats under pressure, can blend into the background for candids, and can direct an entire crowd when need be. I can guarantee you that I will be reaching out to them for my next event.

  An absolute dream to work with to capture our wedding

  My husband and I found HK Photography while looking at tagged pictures of our wedding venue on Instagram. I was immediately blown away by the stunning photos I saw posted on their account which lead me to check out their website and email them to set up an appointment to further discuss their wedding photography services. During our first meeting with Hubert, we was kind, welcoming, professional and extremely knowledgeable. We discussed what my husband and I had envisioned for our wedding photos as well as our engagement shoot. Hubert immediately began brainstorming locations, figuring out the time line and all the important logistics of the day before we even agreed to have him and Alka shoot our wedding. We loved how invested he was in our wedding right from the moment we first sat down with him. Before we left, we knew we had found our photographers.
  We first met Alka the day of our engagement shoot. Like Hubert, she was kind, welcoming and knowledgeable when it came to capturing the perfect shots. Despite feeling nervous about having our pictures taken, 5 minutes into the shoot both she and Hubert made us feel completely at ease and comfortable by chatting about our interests and joking around between shots. Alka & Hubert complement each other perfectly, they have a unique eye when it comes photography. While you are smiling at one of them behind the camera, you’ll notice the other in the background capturing another stunning angle of the same photo. This technique leads to some funny competition between them both, but leads to a breathtaking product. When we received our engagement photos we were in love! (AND STILL ARE) Looking through the pictures caused us a bit stress as the next photo better than the last, we couldn’t decide on which shot to use for our save the dates, which ultimately lead us to choosing two different save the dates to send out to our guests. Between our engagement shoot and the wedding day, we stayed connected with emails to know when the “next steps” would be. Prior to the wedding we had a phone conference with Hubert during which we went over the timeline as well as the questionnaire which was sent to us prior to our phone call to ensure all of our “must have shots” would be captured. The day of the wedding Hubert and Alka did a phenomenal job blending into the background when necessary to capture candid photos. As well as gathering all of our wedding party and family members for posed photos. Throughout the day they made sure to keep all of us on schedule while rolling with unexpected wedding day surprises that came up. Just like they eased our nerves at our engagement shoot, they did the same for all of our friends and family members. We have heard numerous compliments about them since our wedding day from many people about how kind and talented they were. By the end of our reception we felt like they were two of our friends celebrating with us that day not just photographers. Our wedding photos surpassed our expectations. We still hear about how beautiful the photos came out. HK photography’s style is modern yet classic and elegant. When you look at other photographer’s style you might notice some trends that are a little dated, but with HK when you look through any of their posts, their photos remain timeless. Thank you Alka and Hubert for everything. We are obsessed with all of our photos. Working with you was a dream and we are so lucky to have been able to have you capture our story.

  the best team!

  Hubert and Alka are simply amazing! We came across HK by word of mouth and it is was hands down one of the best decisions we made. We didn’t actually meeting Hubert and Alka until the day of our wedding, yet the planning process was seamless and when we finally did it felt as if we had known them forever. They made us feel so comfortable that even our entire wedding party could not stop raving about how great they were. We had so much fun taking our photos and Hubert and Alka were able to accommodate all my photo requests in the short period of time allotted for pictures. Their work is amazing and I can promise you will be in love with your photos. I truly feel like I’m reliving all the best moments when I look back to my pictures.

  I literally can not gush over Hubert and Alka enough! They are so easy to work with, flexible, accommodating, FUN! During our engagement shoot, final consultation, and our wedding we felt like we were just hanging out with our best friends! I honestly don't think my wedding day would have been as memorable or as special if they weren't a part of it. We literally sat on our honeymoon saying, 'We miss Hubert and Alka', 'When do we get to see Hubert and Alka again?' ... they are truly remarkable people to work with. And of course, are pictures came back EPIC, breathtaking, beautiful! I just can not say enough good things about them!

  Hubert and Alka are simply the best in the business. In fact, when we were researching wedding venues, their photos of Harkness Memorial State Park are the reason we went to go see the venue. Our decision to have them photograph our wedding was the easiest part of the wedding planning! They are so incredibly talented and easy to work with. Our families can be a handful to deal with, but they did so professionally, we couldn't have been any happier. They are responsive, flexible, and absolutely love what they do!

  Hubert and Alka are simply amazing! This husband and wife duo truly know how to make picture magic. They were on the preferred vendor list from our venue. After a little social media research I noticed they also did my sister-in-law's wedding. She raved about them and their work. We met with them in Aug 2015 and we booked them immediately. They truly made the planning process fun and easy. We did an engagement shoot at Waveny House in New Canaan, CT. It was a great way to get to know Hubert and Alka and how they work and how to act during a photoshoot. They answered emails and phone calls in a timely manner. The day of the wedding, 8/6/2016, they arrived on time and ready to roll. Hubert and Alka have a calm presence about them and during a stressful moments, ie: large family photos, they keep things moving in a timely fashion. You can tell they have a true love for what they do and it shows in their work. It's almost as if Hubert and Alka work in the shadows. They are never in your face & you wouldn't know they were there, but they pulled off amazing photos. I recently got the email of blogged photos, which they also do for the engagement shoot. My husband, our families and myself could not be happier with the photos. This is only a sneak peak of all the photos taken. Ive looked at these photos dozens of times and I am still giddy looking at them. They also recommended our videographer, Matt VanNess from MV Film Productions.   Hubert and Alka are extremely talented, professional, and personable! Our engagement and wedding photos are breath taking! They were incredibly flexible during both shoots and always made us feel comfortable. We are so happy we chose them to capture our big day. We would highly recommend to anyone!

  Where do I even start....choosing Hubert and Alka to capture our wedding day was hands down the best decision we made through our entire wedding planning process. From the first time we met them, we knew they were going to be a perfect match for us. We had the pleasure of meeting them for our initial consultation and we were both so impressed how genuinely interested they were in getting to know us and learn what we were looking for. We had the pleasure of working with them for nearly two years. Through that time, they were always so responsive to all of our (many) emails and so helpful in providing recommendations and answering all of our questions. Come time for our engagement shoot, we had our heart set on doing our photos in an area several hours away, and without a second thought, they jumped at the chance to venture our to capture these photos for us. When rain interfered with our initial plan to shoot the photos, they were still so willing to make sure we were able to get our photos taken for us, knowing how important it was to us. Luckily, our backup date came through and we ended up with the most gorgeous photos (and we are still getting compliments on them to this day!). Fast forward to our wedding day, just as our luck would have it, we got hit with rather unexpected rain. We had to make some last minute changes to our plan to shoot indoors. But minutes before our first look, something turned in our favor and the rain stopped and sun started to come out. Hubert and Alka knew how important it was for us to have our photos outside. On the spot, they changed their plan and made it happen for us. The skies got bluer and the sun got brighter through the day and we ended up with the most perfect photos. We are so fortunate to have worked with both Hubert and Alka; kind, fun, and genuine people who are true professionals who truly love what they do!

Through that time, they were always so responsive to all of our (many) emails and so helpful in providing recommendations and answering all of our questions. Come time for our engagement shoot, we had our heart set on doing our photos in an area several hours away, and without a second thought, they jumped at the chance to venture our to capture these photos for us. When rain interfered with our initial plan to shoot the photos, they were still so willing to make sure we were able to get our photos taken for us, knowing how important it was to us. Luckily, our backup date came through and we ended up with the most gorgeous photos (and we are still getting compliments on them to this day!). Fast forward to our wedding day, just as our luck would have it, we got hit with rather unexpected rain. We had to make some last minute changes to our plan to shoot indoors. But minutes before our first look, something turned in our favor and the rain stopped and sun started to come out. Hubert and Alka knew how important it was for us to have our photos outside. On the spot, they changed their plan and made it happen for us. The skies got bluer and the sun got brighter through the day and we ended up with the most perfect photos. We are so fortunate to have worked with both Hubert and Alka; kind, fun, and genuine people who are true professionals who truly love what they do!

  Hubert and Alka did such a wonderful job on our wedding day at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills on 5/15/16. They were kind, fun and professional. Our photos came out better then we could have ever imagined. The quality of photo is amazing and their style is not your traditional wedding photographers which you will see in the final product. They made my husband and I look fantastic and really captured the beauty of our venue.

  I wish we can give HK Photography a higher score than a 5/5, a 10 out of 5 would be a better score to describe their work. Hubert and Alka invited us into their home for a consultation while they took time to understand and appreciate our style for our wedding and engagement photos. This is the only vendor (and we met tons!) that took time and invited us into their home to understand our likes/dislikes. In addition, they helped us choose a date for our engagement photos based on the best lighting vs choosing a cloudy day (lighting means everything). They'll follow you on pinterest to study your favorite pins around engagement/wedding photos, and they hit it out of the ballpark with our engagement photos! One week before the wedding, Alka spent aprox 2 hours with us creating a timeline of the event so that everyone was well prepared for pictures the second we walked out of the church-and wow what a huge difference it made as it was calmer and less crazy! On the day of our wedding, it didn't even feel like they were vendors-they became a part of our wedding party. Our wedding party (grooms and bridesmaids) joked and laughed with each of them, making the experience so much more enjoyable. Everyone in our party actually had fun taking pictures! We are so happy we chose HK Photography, and they are worth every penny. Hubert and Alka are professionals and they honestly love their job and it shows in the photos they take (take a look at their fancy website!). They have such an artistic eye for detail and they understand what's trendy and "pinteresty". We've received so many compliments on our engagement and wedding photos-they can actually make downtown Hartford look beautiful! I can't imagine choosing anyone else spending our special day with us other than Hubert and Alka, they've become our friends and we'll continue to choose them as our photographers, especially when our family grows!

  Hubert and Alka quite simply are incredible... They took the time to get to know our personalities and our style before the engagement and wedding photos. The quality of the images is second only to the quality of people they are! Not only did the images of our hurricane wedding day come out great, but they are very affordable in the world of overpriced wedding costs! I would recommend them to anyone!

We first did the engagement photo's which were absolutely amazing! My friends and family loved them and they look gorgeous around the wedding venue. For the wedding day they really took the time to get to know me and my husband to make sure we had creative photo's that portrayed us as a couple and everything we wanted. I don't have enough good things to say about them. They were engaged the whole wedding taking beautiful shots.
