UPDATE JANUARY 9, 2025. HARBEY STILL REFUSED TO DELIVER AS PER THE PAID IN FULL CONTRACT.
UPDATE TO BELOW POST 11/10/25: FINALLY, Harbey responded due to the reviews. Not to apologize for the horrible experience or provide a date he would ship the USBs with the photos and video highlights, as per the contract, but to deflect/defend and inject lies about the wedding being "unorganized." Wow. Can you please send the multimedia I paid for so the newlyweds can enjoy their memories. Thanks
What pro-photographer behaves in such a self-absorbed way for a WEDDING! Hired Harbey Apr. 2025 for an Oct. 2025 important occasion. Regrettably, ended up dealing with an unprofessional, inattentive photographer who lacks communication skills, empathy, and integrity. Horrible experience for a special day. From lack of response to breach of contract both written and verbal. Paid $2,580 for the “DJ & Photography Package” to include “1 - 16x24 with frame image print out, 1 - pre photoshoot, 1 - Video Highlight of event With drone Coverage, 2 – usbs” and DJ Services: “Professional DJ & Mc, Professional Sound & Equipment, 2 Wireless Mics, 1 hour set-time prior to event, LED Lights, Party Lights, Music of Your Choice, DJ Booth, Free MC.” Paid $1,280 upon signing the contract in April, and per Harbey’s request (closer to the event), the balance in CASH ($1,300) onsite after the wedding.
There are NO photos of the bride and her bridesmaids (arrived fully dressed) in the Bride's Quarter other than the ONE uploaded with her standing before a wall-mirror in front of her entourage packed like sardines in a can under her veil. Pathetic.
Harbey has a you’re-not-more-special-than-me attitude as demonstrated by these text responses: “I apologize, but I’ve been extremely busy with events (Sept. 24),” “I know I put a due date on there (contract) please bear with me (Oct. 19),” “I been really busy lately (Oct. 13),” “sorry for the early early reply (5:47 am CT) been working (Sept 14),” “sorry for not getting back to you sooner been extremely busy (Aug. 9),” etc. etc. Never knew he had a night job until two weeks before the event, when he explained why he's soooo “busy”. Constantly had to remind Harvey: “Our wedding is an event as well”!
Harbey requested “meals” for his 4-staff crew (approx. $500 total), but only 2 showed up, the DJ and him, or 3 if you consider the mother he brought along just for the ride. No picture FRAME (had to buy one last-minute for $40), no USBs (highlights); never saw a drone, party lights, and neither Harbey nor the DJ (improperly instructed by Harbey) honored direct instructions given for the event.
On the RUSHED photos, his explained: “I typically don’t give out the blurry ones but I wanted you to see them.” Asked: Can you just release the raw files (copyright) so we can PAY for professional edits? No, he says, I erased them after uploading them online. Huh? Of the 200 or so photos uploaded for us to sort out (do his job), many are distorted, blurred, unedited, and random (like the attached photo of a bowl).
It’s Nov. 10, and no word from Hjphotographyt504 after a promise last week to mail the USBs and provide the tracking number. A text and email advising of the issues and breach of contract has gone unanswered.
Harbey may be too “busy” to hand his business but certainly hung around over an hour after the WEDDING EVENT to get paid “cash.”
Hopefully Hjphotography504 honors the contract as promised asap! He think he's taken advantage of out-of-staters.
