  If we could give Hive and Honey 6 stars, we would! Sarah and Shane were wonderful to work with and be around all day on our wedding day. They did a great job posing us and capturing us throughout the day, which as a same-sex couple, can sometimes be a concern. They were very flexible with any changes that came up and patient with our family during formals. Somehow, they got our pictures back to us in record time and they were so beautiful! We absolutely loved loved loved Hive and Honey and wholeheartedly recommend them!

  If we could give Hive and Honey 6 stars, we would! Sarah and Shane were wonderful to work with and be around all day on our wedding day.   If you are looking for an AFFORDABLE, SINCERE, EXPERIENCED, and CREATIVE photographer who knows the ins and outs of weddings, you can stop here.
  First, engagement photos (included in package):
  Since we were from out of state, we were worried about timing and location. Sarah and Shane were gracious enough to meet us half way in between where we both lived to shoot our photos. Lucky for us, Sarah is an experienced photographer who knows weather can get in the way at times, and thus had us sign up for a Plan B date. We ended up having a weather delay, so we were so happy to have an extra date already set up. The location was also one that they were familiar with but had not shot at before, so they made the trek there the weekend before our date in order to scope out all the best spots. This, along with their easy going nature, made our engagement shoot so natural and enjoyable.
  Next, the wedding:
  First, if you are one of those couples out there trying to put together a fusion wedding, Hive and Honey has you covered. I was a bride who had very little knowledge of what a Hindu/Indian wedding entailed. Luckily Sarah and Shane had shot Indian weddings before and were much more knowledgeable than I with many of the traditions. I even reached out to Sarah about our timeline for the day, including photo timing, and she was able to guide me to a very successful and realistic timeline. This made all of the wedding festivities flow with ease, and they were able to capture so many of the key moments in both ceremonies that were special to us. I love their motive of catching candid and natural shots. I never felt over posed or uncomfortable during our formal pictures. We absolutely love our photos from the day(s) and so appreciate all the love they put into editing and getting them back to us just a couple weeks after the wedding. Would highly recommend them for your wedding!

  Sarah and Shane were AMAZING!
  The value they offer is great compared to other photographers. Since they had never shot at our venue before, they traveled there a month before the ceremony at no charge to us to scout out locations. Sarah was totally willing to change things and talk about options over email and Skype.
  Their partnership allowed the photos to go super quickly because while Sarah was shooting the girls, Shane would take pics of the guys. They were very clear about what poses they wanted, which was really comfortable for my husband and I (for our engagement shots, the photographers gave very vague instructions, which made us a little more nervous because we were unsure of what we were doing). If we didn't understand a pose, Sarah would demonstrate with Shane. They also captured amazing moments of the dancing at the reception. Additionally, they spent 15 minutes during the reception taking pictures with us outside before they left. This gave us a chance to breathe and remember what an awesome day we were having.
  We got 4 preview shots within 24 hours of the wedding, and our full set of 750 shots within the week! I really enjoyed that they gave us all the shots of the poses (unless someone was making a really bad face), so we could choose which we liked best.
  I highly, highly recommend Sarah and Shane for all of your photography needs!

  Wow. Just wow. Sarah and Shane were FANTASTIC to work with throughout the engagement process and wedding day. Aside from their incredible work, which speaks for itself, I must publicly thank them for taking care of us as a couple. From day 1, when we booked Hive and Honey Photography, we discussed having a photo taken on a carousel at a local park near the reception venue. The meaning behind the photo was extremely personal and meaningful. On the day of the wedding, once we got to the park, our limo driver began to push us and rush us. I almost left the park without getting the carousel photo. Sarah strongly encouraged me to at least get the photo we came for because the limo schedule issue was one that should not have happened was not our fault.
  
  The carousel photo turned out beautiful. I will cherish it for years. Hive and Honey gives you a sneak peek of your photos the day after the wedding, and bless them, the carousel photo was one they included. I cannot wait to see the rest of the photos.

  Hive & Honey has been super fun to work with so far! Leading up to our engagement shoot, they wanted to reschedule due to the weather, but we already lived 2 hours away and were moving out of state soon and couldn't possibly reschedule. With some poking and prodding, they agreed to do a rain shoot, and holy moley am I happy they did! Our photos are amazing! Between their incredible creative eye and some magic lighting techniques, I can't imagine being able to love the outcome any more than we do! Sarah and Shane are so nice and easy to work with. They make an adorable couple and really know how to play on each other's strengths and weaknesses making for some great photos. I'd say we hit the jackpot with this photographer and are definitely getting some major bang for our buck!
