Historic Ashland was the best wedding venue Matthew and I ever could have chosen! ❤️ When we were taking tours, we were looking for something timeless, classic, and unique with a view. :) The land was something that was important to my husband when choosing a venue, and HA does NOT disappoint when it comes to views! Their property is private and beautiful - overlooking a gorgeous field of green that makes you feel like you’re in a fairytale. The mature greenery and private land was a huge deal for both of us that really set HA apart from other venues! Not only is the outside of the venue gorgeous, but the mansion, lodge, and cottage are each BEAUTIFULLY restored and provided amazing photo opportunities for our first look and entire wedding day! The inside of each building is modern and sleek, but the original character and timeless touches were kept in tact when restoring them! Getting ready in the mansion was such a fun experience for me and my bridesmaids, and we loved how much space we had to do hair and makeup!
We also loved the indoor ceremony options HA offered, as our wedding in June was extremely hot (like 96 degrees) and we did not want to be sweating through the ceremony!! The lodge was the perfect indoor ceremony space - fully air conditioned, comfortable for our guests, and beautiful against the fireplace! We couldn’t have been happier.
Historic Ashland was the first venue we toured, and the perfect mix of Matthew and I. :) After touring several other venues that week, it was such an easy decision that HA was the one for us! Leah & Amanda made booking our wedding day simple too! They are organized and professional, and they made us feel like we were in good hands throughout the whole planning process! Meeting with them for a final timeline and seating chart overview helped ease my nerves about all the vendors being on the same page. They took the reigns to ensure everyone worked together to make our day run smoothly!! Leah, Amanda, & their team are the sweetest and were so much fun to work with. They made our day so special and we are grateful we chose HA. We still have friends and family tell us how beautiful our venue was. We will cherish our wedding day memories there forever ❤️ Thank you Leah, Amanda, & Team 🥰 -

We were drawn to Ashland right away. The photos do not do justice for the beautiful and well kept grounds. Ashland was the first venue we toured, and Leah was so genuine and herself with us. It made us feel so much more comfortable with wedding planning as a whole… it was clear we were always meant to get married here. I wish everyone who gets married ever, could get married at Ashland. They are such amazing people, and the most incredible team in this industry. From planning, communication, coordinating, creating a safe space, creating a stress free space, listening to our needs, and executing it all in one breathtaking unforgettable day; Ashland exceeded any expectations and standards we had thought of for our wedding day. We are so incredibly grateful that we had the privilege of having Amanda as our DOC. We knew just from the planning process that she was going to take care of us and of course all of our special decor for our big day. We never doubted that they were in the safest and most caring hands. She truly made our day PERFECT. We’ve been to many weddings, and maybe we’re a little biased, but we’ve never experienced a wedding go as smoothly as ours did. To us that is a testament to Ashland’s care and commitment to their craft. They care greatly for every couple. Our wedding was part of their first three day wedding weekend for 2026, and from the beginning we have been so appreciative of the personal touch that was taken into our event and we know that every other couple must feel the same. We can’t begin to thank them enough for everything. We are so sincerely thankful to Amanda, Leah, and the whole Ashland team. Truly if you want a passionate, supportive, and professional venue for your wedding day- look no further. Even when we looked further, the only thing on our minds was 6219 Lincoln Hwy. -

From our very first tour of Historic Ashland, we knew no other venue would compare. Leah’s warm, bubbly personality instantly made us feel at home, and what was supposed to be a simple tour turned into such a meaningful experience. She made us feel so welcomed, and along the way became a sweet friend we’re so grateful for.
The Historic Ashland team was professional, organized, and incredibly communicative throughout the entire planning process. Our wedding day was nothing short of amazing — everything ran smoothly and the venue itself was breathtaking.
Amanda, our day-of coordinator, truly went above and beyond. She took care of every detail with such calm and care, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy our day without a single worry.
We couldn’t recommend Historic Ashland more — they made our wedding day truly unforgettable! 🤍 -

Amanda was absolutely incredible and truly took care of everything. The setting was stunning — our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it was. Leah and Amanda, thank you for a truly fantastic wedding day that we both look back on and our guests wholeheartedly agree can be described as pure ‘fun’.
Venue & Owner (Leah) - First off, Historic Ashland is as beautiful as the images online make it seem. Take a look at HA's social media as well, because they have many videos/photos that can illustrate more details of specific areas you may be interested in! We had our initial tour in the fall of 2023 and were fortunate enough to have Leah be the guide. From pulling into the driveway and seeing the Mansion to walking in the front door, we could start to imagine what the day could look like. We liked how it was an exclusive event venue where we would be the only ones on the property, which was different than others we had visited. Reflecting, I'm so grateful for that, because we were their only focus, and they executed fantastically. From bonding over being TempleU Alumni to getting permission to have one lantern, my heart was sold. You can tell that Leah truly cares about the couples and events that the venue hosts as she was there in person and made a point to ask how everything was going and if we needed anything. It came down to cost, and whether we could swing it as it was more than other venues we were looking at, and I'm SO HAPPY WE DECIDED TO GO FOR IT! Going into the event all we wanted was to have fun, and it was everything we wanted and more.
Day of Coordinator - one of the BEST add-ons out there - I can see why it's required. Not enough words for how fabulously fierce Amanda is. On the day of, we had a U-Haul driven to a designated parking spot, and then everything appeared! One thing we didn’t think about that makes the day-of coordinator worth every penny is that it allows your family (and yourself) to be present and enjoy the day! After almost two years of planning and commuting 2 hours one way to the York area to meet vendors, having Amanda as the ‘head coach’ of the day allowed us to be present and have the time of our lives.
Highly recommend getting the candles and glass jars for the stairs between the upper and lower levels if that's your style.
The only thing I would say is that prior to the event, confirm what the kitchen will and will not have, such as hot beverage cups, silverware, plates - we supplied our own. Be aware that after cocktail hour, guests move to the reception area (upper level), and the lower level is closed off. -

From the second we finished our tour at HA, we knew we wanted to have our wedding there. Leah (owner) and Amanda (our day of coordinator) were professional, communicative, and extremely helpful. The property is stunning - we had our wedding in late October which was right around peak fall color, but we've seen it in snow, in the spring, and in the summer and there is truly never a bad season. There are a variety of outdoor backdrops for pictures. I think the best thing about HA is the day of coordinator - Amanda made the actual day of our wedding so simple and stress free, we truly had nothing to worry about. We couldn't have picked a better place. -

This review has taken forever to write because there are so many wonderful things we want to say about Historic Ashland. When we first started venue hunting, we spent so much time trying to simply get responses to tour requests. We live over an hour from Wrightsville, and my mother lives two hours away, so trying to schedule a tour without being ignored for days by a venue was starting to seem nearly impossible. When we came across HA, we crossed our fingers and sent a message. We got a response before I could even lock my phone, and a tour scheduled in less than 5 minutes. And that basically describes how the rest of wedding planning went for us thanks to their detailed planning guide, which includes a list of preferred vendors, a rental guide for decorations, a timeline for the wedding day, and more. Leah and Amanda always made themselves available to answer any questions we had. From that moment until our wedding day in October 2024, we knew we were in good hands and couldn’t go wrong with the rest of the decisions we had to make.
The property itself is stunning, and it was so nice to have various locations to utilize, from getting ready to all the different ceremony locations. Really our hardest decision was where to have the ceremony. We truly have HA to thank for our wedding planning process being so smooth. The entire HA team went above and beyond to make our wedding better than we could have ever imagined.
You hear nightmares about how something always goes wrong on a wedding day. The HA team handled absolutely everything for us. All we had to do was show up. Not one thing went wrong. We still have guests texting us to talk about how beautiful the entire day was. Everything was perfect and we cannot thank Leah, Amanda, and the entire team enough. I will recommend this venue to anyone that wants to listen. I hope someone we know gets married there so we can go back as a guest. Not that we need an excuse to go back because Leah is such a gem. -

From our tour to our big day, HA was different. We knew that the moment we arrived for our tour. I remember looking at my fiancé and beaming during our tour because, without even speaking, we both knew this was it—this was where we’d say “I Do.” The day couldn’t have been more magical. There’s so much stress in the planning process and the day of was the easiest part. My fiancés jacket ripped 20 minutes before the ceremony and one of my bridesmaids lost her bouquet. A sewing kit saved the day and the jacket was quickly fixed, and cocktail hour arrangement was repurposed into a bridesmaid bouquet 10 minutes before the ceremony. Zip tied and ribboned (which was identical to the others). I didn’t even have time to panic before a solution came along. Our Day of Coordinator, Kirsten was always calm, cool, and collected. I never once panicked. Never broke a sweat. Leah, the venue owner, was also there on our big day. Between the two of them, there was zero chance of the day being anything less than amazing. My wife always wanted a wedding, I always wanted to elope. I couldn’t be happier that I let her win that battle. Booking HA was the best decision we made throughout the process. I would do it a million times over. You will never regret booking at HA. -

From start to finish, our wedding day was absolutely amazing, fun, relaxing and so easy! Ashland allowed us to make everything our own and everything was so beautiful! Amanda and Leah truly are the best in the game and they made sure my husband and I were okay, cared for and comfortable the entire day! From making sure everything was exactly the way we pictured to handling all the little things like decor, making sure my veil didn’t get caught on anything and just the genuine care they had for us the whole day meant so much. Our day could not have been better and They truly allowed me to have the wedding of my dreams 🤍 -

Leah and her team at HA are just incredible. We attended a friends wedding at HA and knew right away this is where my husband and I wanted to have our own wedding. We got married in September and it was GORGEOUS. Our wedding guests kept commenting on how beautiful the venue was. From day one, Leah and her team make planning a breeze. They give you a list of vendors that they know and love and help you plan every detail. My girls and I had the whole mansion to get ready in the morning, and my husband and his groomsmen had the cottage to hangout in. There are multiple ceremony sites to choose from and each of them are just as beautiful as the next. The reception space in the updated barn speaks for itself, its breathtaking. My day of coordinator, Amanda, took all of my loose decorations and set them up perfectly. She truly made my vision come to life and I didn't have to lift a finger on my wedding day. I cannot recommend HA enough. Soooo much love for this venue, Leah, Amanda, and everyone who helped make our wedding such a DREAM -

It’s hard to even articulate how incredible this venue is. We worked with Amanda as our day of coordinator. She spent so much time making sure everything was perfect so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Working with Leah was also wonderful! She is so involved with clients. We had multiple guests tell us how impressed they were with the venue and the staff. We had the most incredible day! Everything was exactly how we envisioned it. Historic Ashland is truly a stunning property; I don’t think the pictures do it justice. It was an amazing experience, 100/10 recommend! ❤️ -

I've drafted many versions of this review because it is so hard to do justice to the wedding experience we had with Historic Ashland (end of May 2024). From the minute we drove onto the property as prospective clients, to our exit at the end of our wedding night more than a year later, we had one fantastic interaction after the next with Leah, Amanda and team. I am a discerning person with extreme attention to detail, and I can honestly say that Historic Ashland is run flawlessly and with utmost respect and attention to their clients. From many months of planning to seeing it all come to life the day-of, I am still in awe of how perfect our day turned out.
The property renovations were incredibly done with all modern amenities and events in mind, while maintaining the charm and historic qualities (not many 1800s barns out there that are immaculately clean with climate control!)
We loved being able to have three separate feeling "events" on the property (ceremony outdoors under beautiful mature trees along a creek, cocktail hour on patio/lodge 1st floor, and dinner/dancing on lodge 2nd floor). Our guests traveled from far and wide, and everyone "got it" as soon as they arrived at Ashland - they saw what a truly unique and special place it is! Furthermore, Ashland's relationships with the vendor community gave us so many options to create a custom experience that was beyond what we could have hoped for.
It is so common these days to be slightly underwhelmed by things, and I can say without a doubt Historic Ashland, their team, and all of the vendors completely exceeded our expectations. We couldn't be more appreciative, and choosing this as our venue was the absolute best decision. Our family & friends are still raving about it being the best wedding they've been to - and we agree! We are left with a lifetime of memories and will always reflect fondly on our day at Historic Ashland. THANK YOU! -

Historic Ashland was the perfect venue for our April wedding! From the moment we toured the property, we fell in love with the atmosphere and potential it offered for our wedding day. Leah and her entire team were quick to respond and schedule showings, answer questions through the planning process, and they executed our ceremony and reception perfectly. Amanda was our Day of Coordinator and was someone we could fully trust to keep the day running smoothly. Not only were we in love with how the day went, but so many of our guests also complimented how beautiful the venue was and how they enjoyed their time too! Scott and I couldn't recommend Historic Ashland enough to any prospective couples for a wedding venue in South Central Pennsylvania. -

The moment we drove up to Historic Ashland, we knew it was the venue for us! Not only is the property beautiful, but having the entire space to ourselves on the wedding day was a huge plus. One thing that was very important to us was having nice areas for both wedding parties to get ready. It was crucial that my husband had a space to enjoy on the wedding day, and the groom's cottage provided just that! For the bridal party, the main house is absolutely perfect. The rooms are stunning, the lighting is perfect, and the attention to detail doesn't go unnoticed, making me feel comfortable and at ease the entire morning.
From the moment we met Leah, the owner, we could feel her passion and true love for her venue and for every couple that walked through the doors. She makes you feel comfortable and like a true friend from the second you meet her. The team she built at Historic Ashland is incredible, and I felt confident that everything would run smoothly. Leading up to the wedding day, I knew any question I had would be answered by Leah or our coordinator, Amanda. I also loved being in a private Facebook group for current and previous Historic Ashland couples. I learned so many tips and advice there, from which hotel to use to where to go for our rehearsal dinner and what vendors to pick.
Our wedding day went so smoothly and was the best day, thanks to the amazing team and community that Leah created. We wish we could do it all over again! -

From start to finish, our experience with Historic Ashland was absolutely incredible. Leah and Amanda held my hand through the entire process and offered so much sage advice. The perfect wedding venue & wedding team!
Historic Ashland is the perfect wedding venue that’s truly beautiful throughout! From the first time we met with Leah, she went above and beyond to help us have the perfect wedding day. Leah and Kirsten happily answered all of our questions and worked so hard to make sure eveything was perfect. They gave recommendations on vendors, planned our timeline, decorated the space for us, and even made sure a tree that feel down the night before our wedding was cleared in time for us to get amazing photos! They far exceeded our expectations in every possible way! Thanks to them, we were able to enjoy our day with our family and friends without any stress because we knew we could trust them to make sure it came together beautifully. -

Ashland is so so beautiful, and they really pay attention to every last detail. The ladies at Ashland are fantastic and made our wedding day PERFECT. They really take charge of the day so you can really enjoy it because it really does go so fast. Finally, you will NOT find a better bridal suite! Ashland’s bridal suite is top tier. Everything you could want and more
My Husband and I got married at Historic Ashland on 4/16/23. I can not recommend this venue enough! This venue was a top contender right from the very start. They had several different packages that appealed to us as we were not sure how big of a wedding we were going to have initially. Right off the bat they were quick to follow-up with our inquiry and answer any questions that we had. Once you see this venue in person you realize how incredible and versatile it is and left no room for doubt.
For the staff: Leah is extremely attentive and personable to work with. You can tell that this venue is her baby and invests all the love and care that is evident through out the entire grounds and all the details. She is an incredible resource and I would also recommend reaching out early after you have booked this venue as she has great insights on the different vendors you can use to stay within your budget. It is one area I wish I utilized earlier on in the process.
Amanda was our Day of Coordinator and was incredible from preplanning, rehearsal and day of the wedding. She had everything and anything on hand that you would need. I have no idea if anything didn't go according to plan because she handled things effortlessly and from our perspective it was the perfect day with no hiccups. We actually were ahead of schedule all day which made for a very relaxed bride, groom and wedding party. We never felt rushed which I think really helped us soak in the whole day to its fullest.
Additionally, Leah and Amanda invited us to their private facebook group for couples getting married that which is a valuable resource on your own. They post updates regularly in there and you are able to connect and ask questions of other brides and grooms who are getting married or were married at HA.
For the venue: The mansion to get ready was amazing; very spacious, filled with light, convenient for our hair and make-up vendors and was a beautiful back drop for photos. The cottage which my husband and his groomsman/family used to get ready was the perfect size. They played darts, had a couple of pre-ceremony drinks and relaxed comfortably.
There are so many ceremony sites and back-up options to cater to your wedding vision. We had our April/Spring ceremony outdoors under the trees and pergola, had cocktail hour outside on the patio and lower lodge and then the reception upstairs in the lodge. Each location had their own feel and vibe that flowed effortlessly. It also was so convenient to have all 3 events in the same location.
Leah, Amanda and the whole Historic Ashland Staff really make you feel like family throughout the entire process and after. Following the day, I forgot my customized hanger that Leah so kindly found and mailed back along with a small gift that my husband and I both cherish and wear. You can not go wrong with Historic Ashland and if you choose them you will be forever grateful and happy that you did. Thank you!! -

Can’t say enough about how amazing this venue is! From our initial tour with Leah we felt like family. Her and her staff are absolute rockstars! Any question we had they were quick to answer and help. On top of themselves they have a FB group to connect with other Ashland couples and get information, answers, etc. Our wedding day went so smooth! Amanda, our Ashland coordinator, handled everything which took the stress off of us and everything looked beautiful! We’re still getting compliments about our venue from family and friends.
To say Leah and her team are good at what they do is a definite understatement! There’s so many great things to say, it’s hard to put it into words.

Aaron and I got married at Historic Ashland on 11/12/22. When we originally toured in June of 2021, we knew right away that this was the place for us. Leah was so friendly, professional, and knowledgeable right from our first conversation. She really made us feel like she would make sure we had an incredible day. Throughout the wedding planning process, Leah and her team were always available to answer questions in a reasonable amount of time. The couples only Facebook group was really beneficial for connecting with other couples, asking questions, and getting ideas. Leah and Amanda were so helpful with checking in throughout the planning process and reminding us of important dates. They have an incredible list of vendor recommendations which is where we found most of our vendors who were all also amazing. We felt so at ease and ready to go by the time of our final walkthrough in October 2022. Our wedding day was truly flawless. Leah and Amanda made sure things were set up how we wanted and that everything was running smoothly and on time. They helped communicate with vendors throughout the day to ensure everyone knew where they needed to be. The venue itself is absolute perfection. We knew we wanted a location where there was a groom getting ready space, bride getting ready space, beautiful indoor ceremony option, and a reception area that was different from the ceremony area. Historic Ashland has all of that! We loved the two separate getting ready houses along with the separate lodge with spaces for the ceremony and reception. Our guests were so surprised when they walked up the stairs to the reception on the second level. While we chose to have our ceremony indoors in front of the downstairs fireplace, there are several outdoor options as well. We were so lucky that we had a 70 degree sunny November day and were able to utilize the outdoor patio space for our cocktail hour. The amount of locations around the property for taking photos is phenomenal as well. It was an incredible day that I would do it a thousand times over! My husband and I got married at Historic Ashland on November 4, 2022! From the night we toured the venue more than a year prior to our wedding, we knew that Ashland was the perfect place for our wedding! The entire property, both inside and out, is gorgeous and spacious while still feeling intimate and comfortable. We also loved that everything from getting ready, to the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception can be done in one place!
Leah and Amanda are nothing short of amazing and they made the wedding planning process easy and stress free! Whenever we had questions or were looking for suggestions, they were always happy to help! Their organization, transparency, frequent communication with vendors, and overall calm demeanor gave us the reassurance we needed that our wedding day would be perfect and it allowed my husband and I to enjoy every moment of our special day! Leah and Amanda were amazing from the moment we started planning our wedding. The venue is absolutely beautiful!!!They made sure that the day was absolutely beautiful for my husband and I. Best day of my life
Leah, Kirsten & the HA team made my day perfect.
From the planning before the wedding, to the actual day we are speechless. Any question we had the girls were ready to answer promptly! They do not waste time at all. These girls really do want the best wedding you could dream of and do not take that lightly. From the moment we met Leah for our tour we knew that HA was where we wanted to get married. I have been looking at this venue since April of 2021 and kept it my dream; September 3, 2022 was the best day of my life thanks to this staff.
The venue is beautiful, from the old barn look, to the modern inside with high ceilings. It is even more beautiful in person than the pictures can even describe. The HA Team really went above and beyond my expectations of a wedding staff. It is now hard to attend other weddings and not compare to the amount of work, effort and passion this team has for the clients they receive. They even picked up my chic fil a order for our late night snack- I couldn’t believe it. My husband & I now reminisce how wonderful our wedding day was and wish we could go back and do it again.
I can tell you that Historic Ashland not only gave me the wedding of my dreams but also gave me the biggest hype women ever (Leah)! I can not say enough great things about this place. -

Dream Venue!
From our tour day to our wedding day the team at Historic Ashland went above and beyond any expectations we had! Not only is the venue absolutely stunning, but it offers so much more. Between the separate luxury accommodations for the bridal parties, natural beauty, and never ending photo ops, we loved all of the options it created for our wedding day.
Leah was equally amazing. She gave us fantastic local recommendations and saved us so many trips and hours commuting from out of state with all of her honest and thoughtful tips.
The team at Historic Ashland is nothing short of incredible. Between their professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail, our wedding day went off without a hitch (even with the torrential rain an hour before our ceremony).
Although our wedding season came and went in the blink of an eye we could not imagine going through this wonderful experience without our HA family- We are so grateful that Ashland is a chapter in our story! -

WOW do my husband & I (as well as my family & friends) have nothing but positive & amazing things to say about Historic Ashland! After having to switch our wedding venue 3 months before our wedding due to having issues with our original venue, our families found this hidden gem of a wedding venue and quickly scheduled a site tour and within a few days, booked it for our wedding day in May of 2022. We were immediately welcomed with excitement, joy, and transparency by Leah and her team which was such a breath of fresh air & stress-relieving experience that allowed us to both slow down and actually enjoy our marriage & wedding planning process.
From the moment we booked to even now, Leah and her team have treated us with such kindness and have consistently made us feel like we were not just another client. They are advocates and supporters for their couples which is truly special! As an indecisive bride, Leah and her team helped me think through and gave me professional insight into every part of the wedding including vendors, timeline, decor, etc. They handled everything from communicating with all of our vendors, creating the timeline & layout of the day, assisting with the rehearsal, helping the day run smoothly, setting up and cleaning up wedding decor, and beyond. They hold open houses for the couples, run a Facebook page for Historic Ashland couples, are prompt to answer emails, provided various signage decor and other rental options for couples, hold a final planning meeting, and so much more. In addition to all of this, there was a lot during my wedding day that happened behind the scenes that I didn't even know about & that was handled by them in communication with my Maid of Honor and family rather than me. They were not afraid to be an advocate and speak up for me when our photographer & videographer were stressing me out on the morning of our wedding. All of our family and friends were blown away by the beauty of the wedding venue, but were even more impressed by the welcoming and accommodating employees of the venue.
As far as the venue goes, it is worth every dollar that you spend and they are constantly making improvements (even though the venue is already amazing)! With a mansion & cottage for the couple and their wedding parties to get ready in and relax, multiple indoor/outdoor ceremony/cocktail hour/reception venues, planning portals, and beyond, it is a venue that can match various couples' wedding styles & visions. We are so grateful that we were able to get married at Historic Ashland and would recommend it to anyone and everyone we know! There is certainly a reason that they have won "Best Wedding Venue" multiple times! Do not hesitate to visit and book Historic Ashland for your wedding as they are exceptional at what they do, plus the story behind the creation of Historic Ashland (a women-owned business) is freaking awesome and inspiring! -

My husband and I had our wedding almost a year ago in July 2021. Leah and Amanda took care of the flow and all the details of our wedding day to ensure us that we could just enjoy every moment of our day. My bridesmaids and I loved having the mansion to get ready in and I know my husband and his groomsmen enjoyed playing darts and hanging out in the boys getting ready space. Our ceremony itself was under the trees which allowed for an abundance of shade for our guests to be comfortable in the July heat. Our cocktail hour was spacious, as we had room for both indoor and outdoor space for our guests. Our reception was fun and beautiful. All of our guests kept telling us how beautiful our wedding day was as well as how accommodating and gorgeous our venue was! Definition of Perfection!
Leah, Amanda, and the HA team were fabulous to work with. Leah and Amanda were both professional, warm, and approachable. I felt like I had 2 additional girlfriends on the day of. They made every decision of the day easy. The weather was looking uncertain on the day and both Lead and Amanda gave their professional opinion, while allowing me the space to make my own. Throughout the entire planning process, they were both easily reachable and supportive. I also LOVED their social media presence. It makes you feel so special while you wait for your own day to celebrate. My friends and family also raved about their interactions with the HA team. Leah went as far as filming/taking pictures of set up so I would have extra memories for the very next day. Amanda was wonderful and made my set up and decor look 10x better then I imagined. At the end of the night, Leah was super helpful in assisting my mom and sister get things loaded into their car. Overall, they went above and beyond for our wedding. I appreciated their genuineness throughout the entire process. Do not second guess, book HA! You are getting a beautiful venue and amazing team of GIRL BOSSES!

Historic Ashland was wonderful!! Not only is the venue absolutely gorgeous, the owner and the staff were so great. We were looking for a lodge-like venue which we struggled with in Maryland. We had no issue traveling to PA so they could host our special day. The staff really took care of everything the day of so we could relax and have a blast. They were so accommodating. Amanda (the day of coordinator that comes with the venue) kept things in motion and was such a pleasure to work with. The venue is also on such a beautiful property and our pictures are gorgeous. I cannot say enough good things about Historic Ashland!! Unfortunately after having to reschedule our wedding three times during the pandemic, we finally decided to search for a new venue that could accommodate our amount of guests. This venue has it all - multiple outdoor AND indoor ceremony locations, a beautifully renovated barn and house. Very close to Lancaster. Leah was so personable, accommodating and knowledgeable about the industry. All of my guests raved about this venue and rightfully so. It was more than I could imagine and I will shout from the rooftops "GET MARRIED AT HISTORIC ASHLAND!!" You will have 0 regrets :) -

Best Venue Ever!
We got married at Ashland in October 2021 and couldn't be happier we did. Living in Kansas City and trying to plan a wedding halfway across the country was was super stressful, but Leah made it so much easier on us. We picked the venue without seeing it in person (only via FaceTime), but when we saw it for the first time in person it was exactly as the pictures show. Leah was SO accommodating each time I was in state and asked to come by and see the venue and even allowed us to come the week of our wedding to practice our first dance. Leah was always extremely quick at getting back to us and we could ask her a million questions and she'd never seem annoyed by them. The day of our wedding Leah came to me and asked me to look at something from a vendor she was afraid I wouldn't be happy with and took it upon herself to "fix it". She also helped coordinate with our other vendors and never hesitated or put it on us if it was something she could take care of for us. Our caterer had recently had some issues at another wedding and Leah was very open and upfront with us about it. Not only is Ashland gorgeous, but you will get A+++ service. We still have guests telling us how beautiful our wedding was! -

Historic Ashland is the most breathtaking venue that I've ever seen. My husband and I got married there in August after we had to push our wedding back a full year due to COVID. Historic Ashland is, by far, the most amazing wedding venue. Leah and Amanda worked with us even while we were out of the country to make our day everything we could have hoped for!
We started our search for a venue very shortly after getting engaged and were doing so from a different country as I was in Veterinary School. We came across Historic Ashland and it was the only venue we chose to meet with as we knew even from pictures, that this is where we wanted to get married. Leah was so accommodating and gave us a video walk through of the venue as we could not be there in person. She also makes you feel like family from the moment you meet her.
Our final walk through was via a video call as well as we were returning to the US only a week before our wedding. Leah and Amanda were so thorough and were so helpful with all the details!
The barn is absolutely beautiful offers plenty of room for dancing, tables and vendors. The mansion is STUNNING. It was so nice to have an area that the girls were able to get ready in at the venue while also having a separate area for the guys.
My husband and I and the rest of our guests could not stop raving about Leah, Amanda, the rest of the crew and the venue itself to everyone.
If you are looking for a wedding venue, this is the one. Hands down. -

We started our wedding planning process immediately after becoming engaged. We looked at over 10 venues before we toured Historic Ashland. Upon arriving at the venue, I immediately knew this was where I wanted to get married. The landscaping and buildings are in immaculate condition. The bridal suite and groom’s quarters are breathtaking, and they are decorated tastefully. The outdoor and indoor venue space is not comparable to other venues.
After touring the venue space, we met with Leah, and I immediately felt a sense of relief. Leah is knowledgeable, professional, and honest. We decided, almost instantly, to book the venue for our micro-wedding.
Over the course of the year of planning, Leah was very communicative. The platform she uses to communicate with clients and vendors is user friendly, a great way to stay organized, and helps with scheduling and organizing day-of events.
As the big day approached, our location for the dinner changed due to weather. Leah was responsive and proactive and assured me that everything would be great.
On the day of, Amanda, the wedding coordinator (best investment for our micro-wedding) took the reins for décor and styling, and she blew it out of the water. The space was completely transformed and absolutely awe-inspiring.
I cannot say enough about Leah and Amanda. They are incredible women that are extremely knowledgeable, professional, responsive, and trustworthy.
These women are top-notch. Stop your venue search now. Just book Historic Ashland!!!!! -

Amazing in every way!
We began planning our wedding a year in advance. We had toured several venues and finally toured Historic Ashland. From the moment we arrived in the parking lot, to sitting down and talking about our dream wedding, I knew instantly this was the place! In fact, we couldn’t decide where we wanted to hold our ceremony because all of the options were so dreamy! We finally decided on the patio option. And I am so glad we did! The mansion is completely breath taking and made getting ready so relaxing. The grooms quarters (the cottage) is the perfect hang out for the guys to do their thing. Historic Ashland was the first place we toured for our wedding and we instantly fell in love. The location was perfect and private. At the last minute we had to change our destination wedding to a local wedding due to Covid. Leah was fantastic! We went to tour the venue about 2 months before our intended date and Leah said to me “you seem stressed” and I was like yeah... I recently had my 10.9.2020 DREAM WEDDING at Historic Ashland! I had visions as to what our wedding would look like, and it really was better than anything I could have ever imagined. A year and a half ago, when we set foot on the property and met Leah, my fiancé and I knew the venue was a perfect fit for us. We wanted an outdoor ceremony and the property here is GORGEOUS! They also have 3 different outdoor ceremony spots to choose from. Leah is an absolute dream to work with. She is super professional, but also a blast! We unfortunately (like many 2020 brides) had to postpone our July wedding to October and Leah made the process so stress-free. She allowed us to easily pick another date and she even took the time to reach out to ALL of our vendors to find out their availability for our new potential dates. She checked in on us ALL THE TIME as restrictions were changing by the day. Just to see how we were doing, what we envisioned for our wedding, etc. Throughout the process, Leah went from a vendor to a friend. And after everything, our wedding day could not have been more perfect or beautiful. Leah and Amanda are amazing and made our day FUN and stress free. OH! One of my absolute favorite parts about the venue (and there's a lot) is the bridal suite! Or should I say bridal MANSION. My girls and I had so much space to get ready and it made the day so fun and special. My girls LOVED it! The getting ready space is not something you normally worry about for your big day, but to me it was SUPER important considering you spend half your day there! -

Leah, Amanda, and the entire Historic Ashland team are absolutely wonderful! Leah’s energy and positivity is infectious in the best way possible.
So a little backstory...we lost our original wedding venue just under 4weeks our from our wedding. After a few sleepless nights, searching and trying to figure out what we were going to do, we stumbled upon Historic Ashland. My sister (MOH) made the first call and spoke with Leah. She immediately called me and said “Kelly- you are going to love it here. Leah is so awesome and is going to help you pull this off without people even knowing you’re doing this all in a matter of days.”
Boy was she right! I got to meet Leah & Amanda the following week (2weeks out from wedding day) and they were so warm and inviting. I knew from the moment I met them that this was all meant to happen.
Amanda, the day-of-coordinator through HA was the SWEETEST! She ensured everything was sorted out ahead of time and that everyone was on the same page leading up to and including the day of. Both Leah & Amanda were always available whenever I had a question/comment/concern.
Now for the actual venue space. HOLY. SMOKES. Historic Ashland is absolutely beautiful! There is very minimal decor that the bride & groom have to bring because the space is so beautiful on its own. We had our ceremony indoors on the first floor and it was so romantic and intimate. That space then become cocktail hour which flowed very smoothly thanks to the HA Team!
The reception space upstairs was great because we could do what we wanted with the space. We decided on a head table in the middle amongst the guest tables which really made my husband and I feel like we were including everyone in our day as opposed to just sitting by ourselves away from everyone. The dance floor was HUGE which was great for our dancing crowd ;) The loft area overlooking the reception space was also a nice size area. We chose to use it for a “Kids Zone” where the little ones could run around, sit and draw, or just be in their own space supervised by babysitters that we hired so that the parents could be downstairs enjoying the evening with the adults.
All in all, Historic Ashland really solidified my belief that “everything happens for a reason.” Thank you so much to Leah, Amanda, and the Historic Ashland family for sharing your venue with my husband, family, friends and I for an unforgettable night! -

I knew from the moment I catered a wedding at Historic Ashland that it was where I wanted to get married once I got engaged. I've worked all over the area and I think that Ashland is one of the best venues in York, honestly #1. The place itself is GORGEOUS and you get the venue for the entire day. It also offers a variety of places to have the ceremony, including rain plans on both levels of the lodge. To top it off, Leah & Amanda are just incredible to work with! June 22, historic Ashland was amazing
My wife and I got married at Historic Ashland on 6/22/19. It was an incredible day - Perfect weather and beautiful ceremony followed by an amazing reception. We got so many compliments during and after the wedding about how beautiful the venue was! Leah was fantastic and super helpful throughout the entire process from beginning to end. She even helped bartend throughout the night when the bar was backed up (even though we told our caterer to bring more bartenders). Overall it was a perfect day. I was lucky enough to be the contractor to replace the windows at the mansion, so I got to see the venue before it was renovated. All I can say is wow! They did an amazing job turning an old civil war house and barn into a gorgeous wedding venue. Definitely a must see if you are in the market for a wedding! -

Best day ever!
Getting married at Historic Ashland was a dream. By chance, our date was available 3 months before our wedding date and my now husband and I decided to change our venue! The first time I called HA, Leah, the owner was chipper and excited to show off her venue. She confirmed that she had our date available and invited us for a tour that same day! I was blown away by the secluded and beautiful venue. The amount of detail that went into preserving the property is unreal. Ashland not only has an involved owner but, they also have the BEST day of coordinator (Amanda). Amanda is quick to respond to all of your questions and concerns and made my wedding one of the best days of my life! She was there when I arrived in the morning, put out all my Decor, ran through the day with me and made sure the whole day followed the timeline perfectly. There was a little issue with some of our guests and she took care of it, I didn’t even know what happened until after the night was over! If I could give them 10 stars I would. There is just so much to say about Leah and her GORGEOUS venue that I'll try my best to keep it concise as possible!
My Husband and I went venue "shopping" with my mom about a year and a few months prior to our big day which is when we met with Leah, the GM of Historic Ashland. Before we even got to talking about venue/wedding details, she was asking us about our story and just about us, which was a huge hit! We loved that Leah was so interested and invested in us as a couple and not just another pair of people looking to use the space for the wedding. Once we began talking about our day, details and feels that we wanted, and we toured the venue, there were zero questions in our minds that we were going to use Historic Ashland as our venue. It is absolutely stunning!! Even though the venue hadn't hosted its first wedding until a few months later, we could envision ourselves and guests in the space. Leah had thought of EVERYTHING , even down to the door knobs and toilet paper holders (haha!). My husband and I fell in love with the idea that we could both be on the property to get ready but in totally separate spaces; the men in the original (restored) cottage to the property and the ladies in the updated mansion.
As Leah has gotten into the swing of a full-time wedding venue, she has continued to build upon beautifying the space and by the time April came for our wedding, we were BLOWN AWAY with many additional features including lights draped throughout the beams in the reception hall and the addition of the patio/pergola outside for the cocktail hour (we were inside, upstairs in front of the grand fireplace for our wedding due to rain, but it wasn't an "option B", more like "option A inside" vs "option A outside").
My husband and I are also so thankful for Leah's dad, who not only directed parking traffic, but also helped move my grandmother from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception; she couldn't stop talking about how kind and thoughtful he was!
Leah has literally thought (and continues to think) of everything you could possibly want in a venue! She knows what she wants to do, how she wants to do it or have it completed and isn't afraid to speak her mind. Leah was also wonderful with communication which my husband and I truly couldn't be more thankful for.

We toured Historic Ashland when it was first being built in nov 2017 and now had our wedding there in November 2018. Historic Ashland checked everything off our dream list and more. We loved the classy design throughout that we personalized with a few special touches but it really needs no “decorating”. One of our favorite features was the climate controlled lodge/barn for indoor ceremony options and heating/AC for whatever weather chooses to come- it made it one less thing to worry about. We also really loved the separate buildings for the groom and bride to get ready in.
Historic Ashland has so many ceremony site options you can really customize it to whatever you want.
The property is so beautiful we even chose to have our engagement pics here.
Leah- the owner- is extremely responsive, supportive, energetic and accessible she worked with us to ensure everything was lined up and ready. We also worked with Amanda of Elysian Event Company and Ashland’s coordinator- she was a dream and handled every little set up and tear down detail. Leah and Amanda also took great care to ensure our elderly guests/grandparents were always escorted from mansion to ceremony to reception- even bringing a golf cart right to them. It was very nice to have our parents not have to worry about this. We had a buffet meal and Leah herself served and brought my Grandma’s plate to her seat. My Grandma said she felt like royalty the whole day- and I have to agree- we did too. It was better than we had even envisioned. You truly do become a part of the Ashland family. -

Incredible!
Where do I begin?! Being one of the first brides to book and see this venue come to life from the beginning stages was such a privilege. Leah and her team not only did a great job leading up until our big day with supporting us. The day could not have been more PERFECT. This venue is one of a kind. The staff at Ashland went above and beyond for our special day. That all aside... the venue speaks for itself when you first step foot on the property. Not only did my Husband and my parents fall in love in the very beginning. Our wedding party and guests were extremely impressed on our day. Coming from the Hair industry, the bridal suite setting with an in-house salon was a stylists dream. The ladies I hired for make up and hair commented on this very feature! The venue and staff helped keep my perfectionist heart at ease during this process. Leah was patient and understanding of everything I threw her way. I already have referred several brides to the Historic Ashland and I will continue to!!! GO CHECK IT OUT! -

Perfect Venue
I researched over 30 venues and visited close to a dozen and I cried with joy when I first visited Historic Ashland! I knew I had found the perfect venue!
Leah, Jeff, and Pat made my daughter’s wedding celebration so special! The spacious downstairs of the beautiful Lodge provided the perfect setting for the Games and Cocktail Hour! We had the ceremony upstairs and it worked perfectly and seeing my daughter’s joyful and beautiful smile as she affirmed her vows with the glow of the fireplace and candles behind her is forever imprinted in my mind! The venue looked stunning!
Funny thing is...although we planned to be outside and we were looking forward to using the lovely outdoor space for the games and ceremony, we were not in the least disappointed that it rained! How many Mother of the Brides could say that rain on your daughter’s wedding celebration is no big deal?!
We appreciated all the help that Leah, Jeff, and Pat gave us with the set up for the day. They were all awesome!
Leah was assessable, competent, knowledgeable, professional, and helpful throughout the planning process. She also was a delight to work with! She helped to bring my daughter’s dream wedding celebration to fruition! I felt relief that we were in good hands and her professionalism gave me confidence that everything would come together smoothly and it did!
Historic Ashland was the perfect venue and I highly recommend it!

I got married at Historic Ashland 2 weeks ago and from start to finish, the experience was incredible. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and had the rustic chic vibe I was looking for with upscale amenities. It is a family run business and everyone involved was a pleasure to work with. My only regret is that we can't do it all over again! -

Wow, what a place! The lodge was a gorgeous setting for our celebration. We were doing a bit of an oddball thing—having our sides compete in games to decide our last name. Leah was totally down and supported us 100% in using her space so unconventionally. The result was SO MUCH FUN, and the lodge was absolutely stunning for everything including the games, ceremony and reception.
We planned to be outdoors but the weather didn't cooperate—Leah was quick to offer some backup ideas, and our indoor setting was gorgeous and the experience was seamless despite it not being our original plan! It wasn't even a problem.
Leah was personable, accommodating, professional and super easy to work with. She and her staff were on top of everything! Her father even helped us hang some lanterns.
We could not have had a more special day. Thank you Leah and the Historic Ashland! -
Kelly Sent on 09/25/2018If there is such a thing as a perfect venue, Historic Ashland is it! The large, beautiful property boasts of grace and elegance. There are multiple places on the property to hold a ceremony, each just as beautiful as the other. The Mansion has the beauty every bride is looking for. With multiple rooms for large parties and guests, you will never feel overwhelmed or crowded. We had SO much fun exploring and hanging out. Every room is perfect for your wedding party pictures. The Lodge has a ground floor level, ideal for "cocktail hour", and the upstairs is stunning! If the wood floors and high ceiling don't make your eyes pop in wonder, the stone fire-place will! There is a huge sunflower field next to the meadow...need I say more?? Also, you will never meet a more friendly & professional staff! A venue can be beautiful, but the owners/staff are what make the venue lovable. Only about 3 miles off of the Wrightsville Exit, the location is very convenient and easy to find. Historic Ashland is the place to get married!!
