The most important piece in our wedding ceremony

We’ve had a small, intimate wedding at home, which was arranged within a very short period. Rev. Jim was prompt to respond to the initial inquiry, and worked with with thru the details of our wedding ceremony, paying special attention to the details that were most important to us. His presence was impeccable and our ceremony could not have been more

We found His Way Ministry online. He was local which we liked. Very responsive to emails. Had clear instructions for paperwork prior to our big day and day off. Was very professional but also extremely personable when we met. Did a great job for our event! Very happy with our choice!

Wedding Officiant

We hired Rev. Jim for our wedding in June. He was very responsive and allowed us to be flexible from a standard script. As our coordinator was not able to be there, he helped to smooth things along. He presented us beautifully at the ceremony and lead us through a very emotional ceremony! Great guy, highly recommend.

Rev Jim was an absolutely blessing to our special day. He made our wedding a special occasion despite all the odds we were facing with an imminent snow storm on the way. I got married on Oct. 19, 2019. Rev Jim did such an amazing job!!! He was so nice when first meeting with him. He listened to me about what my husband and I wanted out of the ceremony. He made sure to keep in contact with us leading up to the wedding to make sure we knew what what going on. Absolutely wonderful experience

We had a wonderful experience with Reverend Walker! Couldn't have asked for better service. He went above and beyond to make our ceremony special. He was very flexible and easy to work with. He also has a great public speaking voice. He took care of mailing our marriage certificate while we were on our honeymoon and even included a small gift which meant a lot to us! While I was choosing an officiant for our wedding, Rev. Jim was very professional, accommodating, and timely! He was a delight to talk with and very kind. My parents found a military chaplain for our military wedding, so we ended up going choosing someone else to officiate, but I am so thankful for the time and consideration of Rev. Jim!!! Just Perfect!!!

Jim was such an amazing asset to our wedding!!! He helped so much with rehearsing and helping to organize the wedding party entrance it took so much of my anxiety away. He was professional, on time and knew his stuff. His wife was also so sweet and very helpful for our music portion of the wedding. Rev. Jim is the best!

I needed to find a pastor four months before my wedding, and really worried about who I would find to perform our ceremony. Thankfully I found Rev. Jim and his wife, Sue on WeddingWire. I was so impressed the first time I spoke with Rev. Jim on the phone. He sounded so professional and he is very easy to talk to. Rev. Jim and his wife, Sue, are so kind and such loving people. They were also very flexible when I had to change my rehearsal time at the last minute due to inclement weather. My family and I sat with Rev. Jim and Sue at our rehearsal dinner and really enjoyed getting to know them better. I strongly recommend using them for your wedding and I wish them both continued blessings in their future. It was meant to be!

Rev Jim and Mrs, Walker were wonderful, kind and compassionate. My husband and I went to Durham Court to get married on Friday, April 19th however when we got there the court was closed due to Good Friday!!! We were so disappointed. I found His Way Ministry on Thumbtack on our way back to our home. They quickly responded, came to our home and married us. They were on their way to a rehearsal dinner that got cancelled due to the weather!! It was meant to be. Rev Jim’s voice was touching and words were beautiful. We are so happy it worked out this way.

Rev. Walker was a delight.

Rev. Walker was a delight. His personality, attire and age added an element of tradition and reverence to our wedding. His standard wedding text was a lovely biblical Christian ceremony. It was especially nice because it was not too short. Although he was happy to make changes, it was not necessary. The wedding was in my sister’s home, between Christmas and New Year’s. We contacted Rev. Walker with only four days’ notice. He was very responsive, flexible and his price was very reasonable. We wish him the very best and pray for success in his many good works.

Pastor Jim was a very patient and kind Pastor. Our wedding ran late due to technical difficulties and he stlll and he still stayed and did our ceremony even with another engagement! He read the script we changed for him word for word as well as made the connection of the marriage ceremony from God. He showed up on time. He also gave us a small gift which means a lot to us. Amazing Wedding Officiant

My husband and I would highly recommend Rev. Walker as a wedding officiant. He was very responsive to our questions along the way and made us feel so comfortable throughout the wedding process. He helped us go over the procedures and timeline at our Rehearsal and even brought his wife with him, who is also an officiant. He gave us a marriage certificate and had it ready for us at our wedding. They also both joined us for our reception! We were so thankful for his services.

Rev James and his wife were absolutely amazing! I had several questions and he was so quick to respond. He was very helpful during the months leading up to our wedding! During our ceremony he spoke very loud and clear so that everyone could hear him!

Absolutely great services!

Our wedding was originally supposed to be in September in Wilmington, NC and due to the hurricane we had to find a new venue, new date, and a new minister. I was in a complete panic because of the time crunch I was now facing on top of being 7 months pregnant. I knew I needed a minister before I could even begin planning everything else within the wedding. I contacted Rev. Jim Walker and he responded back very quickly and was able to accommodate for our small wedding, which was set to take place in a few short weeks. His price was affordable, he was easy to communicate with, he was able to include our sand ceremony, he showed up on time with everything needed for the ceremony, and even allowed me to review and revise the script he would use for the ceremony. I was really impressed and pleased overall with his service. He also brought a gift for my husband and I, which is something we will cherish and use often. I would definitely recommend him and very thankful for his time, efforts, and patience.

My then fiance and I planned a last minute ceremony to have a surprise wedding at our baby shower. Rev. Sue was great! She was on time, completely went with the flow, blended in with guests to keep it a surprise. During the planning she was great at communicating with us and replied to emails right away. I would definitely recommend their services!

I have nothing but good things to say about Rev. Walker. He was very responsive to emails and his willingfulness to help with anything is wonderful. Rev. Jim Walker and his wife, Sue, were amazing. They were so sincere and Rev. Walker provided the sweetest traditional ceremony (which is exactly what we were looking for). Though we opted for traditional, Rev. Walker was open to tailoring the ceremony to exactly what we wanted. I would absolutely recommend His Way Ministry to anyone getting married. One of our guests commented that our ceremony was the best that he had ever seen, and that’s all due to His Way Ministry!

"Our wedding day was simply beautiful and Reverend Jim and his wife, Susan, played a tremendous part in it. Although, my husband and I had a small wedding with no rehearsal, Reverend Jim and his wife's professionalism made everything feel and go so smoothly. They provided the entrance, exit, and ceremony music, all of which was a great fit for our wedding. If we had to do it all over again we would not change a thing. Rev. Walker was great to work with. I had to hire him only 2 months before the wedding after a family member backed out of doing the service. He was kind, flexible, and always answered promptly when called/emailed. My husband and I were able to adapt the service to fit our style. We used Jim as both our officiant and our DJ, with COVID and the uncertaintity of a reception, we thought it made the most sense to use him for both. Jim is an excellent officiant, he is very flexible and willing to work with you. The only thing we didn't like is that he did not use a microphone for the ceremony and his assistant played music the whole ceremony (even though they asked the assistant to turn it down multiple times), so most of our guests said they could not hear a thing the entire ceremony. That upset us a little bit.. But as an officiant, Jim incorporated every request we had, and worked very well with us!

Great officiant

Reverend Walker and his wife were great to work with. Throughout the whole process, he was very approachable and down to earth. Not all of our family members are religious and Reverend Walker worked with us to develop a ceremony and script that included the Christian content we wanted but allowed all guests to still feel comfortable and welcome. Rev. Walker was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns we had.

Reverend Jim is responsive and will accommodate different ceremony types.

He was quick to respond to any questions I had, Ted additional ceremony services ( sand, rope ties, communion, etc.) We just wanted to keep it simple so we didn’t include any of that, we just did the traditional ceremony with bible verses included. He came to both the ceremony and rehearsal, was on time, dressed professional, and took care of the marriage license signatures and sending it off to the register of deeds.

My wedding

Rev Jim and Rev Sue were the absolute best to work with. They were always an email or phone call away if I had any questions and very prompt to respond. Rev Sue did a beautiful job officiating at our ceremony! And Rev Jim did a wonderful job leading us in prayer at our reception! I would recommend both of them to anyone looking for an officiant for their wedding!
