Wedding DJ/Photo booth

We hired DJ Erik for our wedding, and he was phenomenal! He played all of our "must plays", as well as kept the dance floor energetic by playing songs that he knew would be fan favorites. He really curated all of the playlists to match our vibes perfectly. Many of our guests told us after the wedding that it was one of the best dance floors they had ever seen at a wedding, and that was largely due to DJ Erik. We couldn't recommend DJ Erik or Hill Country DJ more!!

We also got Hill Country DJ for our photo booth. It was an awesome addition as we thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the pictures that our guests took during our wedding. They had very professional staff, as well as great photo booth props (ones that every age group loved). We would definitely recommend adding the photo booth to your wedding contract with Hill Country DJ!

Great Experience!

Keith was great! Punctual and professional, he set up seamlessly, allowing me to tend to our event. What truly sets Keith apart is his ability to keep everyone on the dance floor. The song choices were spot-on, transitioning seamlessly and catering to all tastes. Highly recommended for his punctuality, crowd engagement, and impeccable track selection.

Cedric did an amazing job at our wedding!

Cedric did an amazing job at our wedding! Almost ALL of our guests were dancing and having a good time, which says a lot about how Cedric read the crowd and kept the right vibes going throughout the night. He also made sure we stayed on schedule with all of the toasts and dances, which we really appreciated!

Best in ATX!

Erik was very nice from our first meeting to the end of the night. He took all of our song requests and kept the party going on the dance floor. The client portal was very user-friendly. We completed a love, like, and dislike playlist. Best day ever!!

Loved DJ Cedric & Vinnie Hogan

We hired both our DJ & videographer from Hill Country DJs.

Vinnie (our videographer) was so great! We met with him before and he really listened to anything we wanted or didn’t want in our video. The video came out beautifully and very quickly too! Vinnie captured a lot of great moments, and it’s clear he is not only a professional, but also someone who truly enjoys what he does.

Cedric did so great as our DJ. He really listened to what we were planning with music, and went out to look for songs that we really wanted to be played. Everyone had a blast dancing, and that’s all due to Cedric. Hill Country DJ in and of itself was a wonderful company to work with. Highly recommend!

Hire Hill Country DJ!

DJ Erik was a phenomenal DJ at my wedding this past weekend! He knew how to read the crowd well, took song requests and his MC skills were great!! You can tell he truly loves to DJ and was energetic and dancing the entire night. The ceremony music was perfect and the lighting for the reception was an added touch! Kept the dance floor going all night!

My wife and I hired Hill Country DJ for our vow renewal celebration and they were top notch throughout the entire process. COVID forced us to reschedule our party twice and the team at Hill Country DJ were understanding and easy to work with through what I know must have been a tough time for them. Diane was a fantastic communicator and Erik kept the dance floor bumping throughout the night. Several of our guests commented on the fact that they had never seen a DJ with such great energy who was having as much fun as the rest of the party. They have a really cool website portal that allows you to send your music requests and event details before hand - it made the planning process fun and easy. I can’t say enough good things about the folks at Hill Country DJ, and I highly recommend you book them for your event.

Best DJ for our Wedding

We had nothing but amazing experiences with Cedric from Hill Country DJ for our wedding. He was incredibly flexible throughout the planning process as we had to postpone our wedding due to Covid. If you want a DJ who is extremely professional, talented and flexible - hire Hill Country DJ. You will not regret it!

We worked with Anthony, the owner of the company and our DJ for our wedding night. Throughout the entire planning process, Anthony was able to follow up with us and make sure we had all of our song selections ready to go for wedding day. The month leading up to our wedding was a stressful one, as we were so busy planning last minute details, but Anthony was so patient with us. He had no problem accommodating all of my last minute song changes (and I had several!)

We met with Anthony virtually a week or two before our wedding and he guided us through our song choices. He gives you the option to choose songs for your reception playlist, but that was a challenge for us, so instead he just asked us what genres we liked (and didn't like) and went from there. On our actual wedding day, Anthony's song choices were perfect! He has a great way of reading the crowd, something you can only find in a true professional, and our dance floor was PACKED the entire night.

I also have to mention how flawless our wedding ceremony was. Anthony was amazing at blending our ceremony processional songs perfectly so that 1) our family, 2) our bridal party and then 3) me and my dad's walk down the aisle was just beautiful. No awkward pauses or lapses in music. Everything was just a dream, and I will recommend Anthony and Hill Country DJ over and over again!

Took Our Wedding to The Next Level

We absolutely loved working with Anthony and Hill Country DJ. He had people on their feet dancing the entire reception, and was able to accommodate some massive last minute changes. Beyond all expectations

Amazing amazing service!
The owner went above and beyond talking to us up until wedding.
Our wedding was postponed due to Covid, he was amazing and patient and kind. He planned out the entire schedule for us, kept us on track, checked on us for food and even brought us our drinks.
He was the kindest person I feel like for the price we paid he did way too much.
If you don’t book him you will regret. My fiancé and I could not be more thankful for all he pulled together for us.

Got the Party Started!

We hired Hill Country DJ from the list of approved Vendors at our venue. We had Nick as our DJ and he was wonderful to work with! We met with him ahead of time to ensure we were all on the same page before hiring, and it was wonderful to see how prepared Nick was, and how laid back he could be! He also suggested our coordinator (Mockingbird Lane Events). The two of them worked so well together, it was like a well-oiled machine! About a week before the wedding, we virtually met with Nick to go over final details and ensure he had pronunciations of everyone's names correct. He made us feel at ease, and ensured us that he would be looking to us, and our coordinator for any cues or needs. When there was an empty dance floor, he immediately adjusted to a new song to get people up and dancing. He checked with us prior to our wedding day about styles and types of music that were goes and no-goes. Nick was truly a joy to work with! The company has a wonderful website where you can put songs you love, hate, or are "eh" about, to help guide tastes of music. They also address general timelines, and specific songs for everything. It was all very user friendly and so easy to work with!

So glad we chose Hill Country DJ!

We had our wedding 11-22-2020 and we’re so glad we chose him to DJ for us! He was super professional and very prompt on emails. A couple weeks before the wedding he made sure everything was squared away with song selections and types of music we wanted playing during the cocktail hour/dinner/reception and played exactly what we were looking for. My husband was very indecisive on his mother-son dance and I think didn’t even pick until a day or two before the wedding and our DJ was very understanding and made sure he got it for us. On time and very nice!

9-28-19 Wedding at Chateau Bellevue

Floyd was the DJ for our wedding and he did an amazing job. He set up a meeting a month or so before the wedding to get to know us and get to know our musical style. Hill Country Dj uses a software that allowed us to add songs to a like, love, or do not play list which made it so easy to choose what we wanted. Floyd knocked it out of the park the day of. Our guests are still commenting on how much fun the reception was. 10 out of 10 recommend hiring them.

DJ Cedric was AWESOME!!!!

We did a phone conference call with him a few weeks before our wedding and had a couple of odd requests that he accomodated so well. He even had all the swing dancing songs I wanted to listen to!

He's an excellent mixologist, and made our reception so fun! Everyone was dancing until the last song!

Kept a Crowd on the Dancefloor all night!

Nick from Hill Country DJed our wedding and made sure everyone got out on the floor throughout the night. Nothing could faze him and he easily transitioned our dance floor from classic country to Lizzo to Blink 182. We met with Nick in the weeks leading up to the wedding and he asked so many questions to be sure he had all of the right music for us and knew which songs we wanted for each special moment. We had a lot of songs that we knew we wanted saved in Spotify playlists and Nick was very accommodating and found and downloaded our playlists before the day-of to be sure he could have those ready. Nick was very thorough about checking timeline details, family name pronunciation, and the timing of songs we were playing a certain moments. My family and friends only had great things to say about him and the night.

Nick did a great job with the music in our reception!

We used Hill Country DJ for our wedding in March of 2019, and Nick was our DJ. He did such a great job! We met with him before the wedding to discuss specific details and events that we wanted in the reception. He was receptive to all of our ideas, and we definitely felt like he understood the kind of music we were looking for during the dinner and dancing part of our reception. He was flexible and open to all of our ideas, including the Grand March (such fun!). I sent him a long list of some of the songs I was hoping for during the dancing part of the reception, and he did not disappoint! He was good about reading the audience and played the songs that were best received for that moment. And it showed! We had an awesome reception with great dancing, which is exactly what we were hoping for. We've had so many guests tell us after the fact that we had a really fun wedding, and a huge part of that was thanks to Nick. We definitely recommend working with Nick and Hill Country DJ!

Best DJ for The Price!

DJ Floyd was amazing! He played a good mix of the songs we requested and others along the same lines. He was good at feeling out the crowd to play what people seemed to be enjoying the most, and kept the dancefloor packed for the most of the reception! DJ Floyd was incredible. He provided the music for our ceremony and party, as well as the microphone for our speeches. He also MCed the event throughout the night. DJ Floyd is super organized and we felt well taken care of from when we first met him at the pre-wedding meeting. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same if not for DJ Floyd and Hill Country DJ. We were put in contact with Hill Country DJ and DJ Floyd from the moment we decided to use their services. When I deleted our email with weblink and other details Hill Country DJ (HC DJ) promptly responded to our request for a resend! We planned our wedding from the other side of the world from Texas, and HCDJ, and more importantly DJ Floyd, handled our requests for meet-up times and dates on any format. DJ Floyd figured out the best of what to play after his detailed interview. I consider DJ Floyd a friend and hope to maintain contact for years to come. He is truly a great person and is a major reason it is a day to remember. The dance floor was crowded from the get go!!

Nick is on top of his game, very communicative, and is a great “emcee”. We had seen him at a friend’s wedding and were so glad we were able to book him for ours. He is the kind of vendor that is immediately accessible when you need him and when you don’t, he is in the background taking care of business. For our music entertainment, we supplied a 50s/60s playlist for cocktail hour and dinner, and then he consulted with us for the general wedding dancing. The songs he chose for our general wedding dancing were great and everyone had a fantastic time! We had a diverse age group and everyone had music they could enjoy. The only thing we would have done differently is been more specific on the version of one of our first dance songs (e.g. supplied an exact URL to the song), because the version he supplied wasn’t the version we had listened to ourselves. But everything turned out great and we highly recommend him.

In the planning phase, DJ Floyd did a great job of making us feel comfortable and asking us the right questions to figure out what our musical tastes are and what we could incorporate into the day. On the day of he showed up on time, everything was set up perfectly, and as a MC he kept the day moving perfectly. He executed wonderfully and did a great job keeping the vibe lively and even smoothly incorporated some of our unusual musical requests.

For the photobooth Joel showed up on time and everything was set up according to plan. The photobooth was a wonderful addition to our day and was definitely a focal point of our reception. The pictures turned out great, Joel provided multiple prints, and it we loved that he printed out an additional copy of each photo for us to keep.

Overall we were so pleased with the service, professionalism, and price provided by Hill Country DJ. They helped make our day special and memorable. Highly recommend!

Floyd Banks was absolutely our favorite! He was willing to work with us the week leading up to the wedding and was very flexible when our band was running late. Our venue was very spread out and he made it work. While guests danced, he felt out the crowd knowing what they wanted to hear more of. On our departure time, he even played a family favorite (Jarabe Tapatio) to close the night, who even knows that!? We are still hearing great things from our guests who loved the music and atmosphere!

Hill Country DJ was a great choice for our wedding DJ! They responded quickly and offered all services we were looking for. DJ Nick was our DJ and he did a great job being the MC and DJ. He kept the music going and the flow of the whole evening. We were in communication prior to the wedding and reviewed all our songs we loved and did not want at the wedding. We hired DJ Floyd for our wedding, and he absolutely exceeded our expectations. We met with him about a week before the ceremony, and he took the time get a feel for our musical preferences, which really came across during the wedding. The dance floor was full all night, which was what we were hoping for. Floyd did a great job of reading the crowd and adjusting to their preferences. Everything went off without a hitch during the ceremony and the reception, and we received multiple comments that our wedding had the best music that people had heard at a wedding. All credit goes to Floyd. If we had to do it all over again, I would not want anyone else as our DJ.

Nick was awesome! We thought we might be a picky couple when it came to our music, so we created a long playlist of songs and a long “do not play list” for Nick. On our final meeting he ensured us that he would stick to the list and also feel the crowd out to keep the dance floor popping. He did a great job! Everyone, including me, was dancing all night long. Marco was absolutely amazing! He helped us create a perfect timeline for the whole day and stick to it when things got crazy, and even ran over to where we were taking our portraits after the ceremony with a picture on his phone of the food truck menu to asked us what we wanted to eat so it would be waiting for us when we got to the reception! He suggested a private dance at the end of the night that is one of my most treasured memories... and I wouldn’t have even known about it without him! When I realized I had forgot to ask him to play a song my new husband had wanted as a “must play”, Marco happily worked it in for us! Marco definitely kept the whole night running smoothly and I am so thankful we hired him to DJ for us!! We will certainly be recommending Marco to anyone looking for a DJ!

We worked with DJ Nick for our wedding and were beyond thrilled with how everything turned out! Hill Country DJ came as a recommendation from our venue and we couldn't be happier with the music throughout the entire evening. We met with Nick prior to the wedding to go over the songs we had chosen for special moments (first dance, cake cutting, etc.) to be sure we were all on the same page. We also LOVED the online planning forum. It helped us make sure we were thinking of everything we needed to for our big day. We loved working with Hill Country DJ! We had DJ Nick, and we were very impressed with him. He was professional, very skilled, easy going, and got my guests on the dance floor (which is a big deal; we had some pretty reserved family members who were busting a move!) I had DJ Marco at our wedding and he was everything we wanted in a DJ and more. At our final meeting he ran through everything from the ceremony all the way to the very last song we wanted to hear. He also brought up ideas like an anniversary dance and a private dance (just me and my husband with no one else around) that we would never even have thought of on our own. He also helped us in making a timeline that had a great flow throughout the night. At the wedding, he kept the dance floor going with both upbeat and slower songs. He knew exactly what he was doing and made every announcement we asked for. We only heard great things from our guests at the end of the night. Thank you so much Marco!!!

DJ Nick was the best! I'm originally from Texas, but live in California and Hill Country DJ was fantastic about responding via email and we even Skype'd with DJ Nick to go over the day of details and song choices. Our guests were on the dance floor the entire night! The music mix was perfect for all ages. We also used Hill Country DJ for our up lighting. It was so beautiful and helped to set the mood for the evening!

DJ Floyd Banks with Hill Country DJ performed at our October wedding at Ma Maison and he was awesome! He kept our guests dancing all night and played a great mix of music so that there was something for all ages to enjoy. About a week before the wedding he called us and went over all the details like our timeline, first dance songs and other special dance songs. On the day-of he worked with our wedding coordinator and followed the schedule she created (first dances, toasts, etc.) and he was always on point. He also set up the uplighting and the color turned out just like we wanted! He was definitely on time – he even got there early to make sure everything was set up perfectly and hooked up our minister to the mic system. We highly recommend Hill Country DJ and definitely DJ Floyd!

DJ Floyd was our wedding reception DJ on 4/25 and he helped us have an amazing reception!! From our first meeting, Floyd listened to what we had to say and made professional recommendations to help guide us in our decision making. The online portal was easy to use and helped us stay organized with our music choices. Floyd nailed it and made our reception such a memorable event, he keep the dance floor hopping and helped the whole evening flow! We had DJ Mitch for our wedding. He was great! He knew exactly what to play to get the crowd out on the dance floor and was able to keep a crowd out there for pretty much the entirety of the wedding reception. The online planning tool makes it really easy to plan out your music for your reception, and DJ Mitch played a good variety of music, and included so many songs that we requested. I would definitely have Hill Country DJ provide music for any future events. Thank you, DJ Mitch!

DJ FLOYD IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not only did he honor all of our requests and keep our dance floor moving all night, but he was professional, helpful, and provided some amazing suggestions that made our wedding super awesome! I was so touched... he even found (or created?) a pumped-up version of our "walk down the aisle" song that we got to rock out to on the dance floor. I wish we could get married again, just so DJ Floyd could play another party for us.

I contacted Hill Country DJ online initially for a quote. The owner, Anthony Conforti, emailed me back very quickly with their services and pricing. He was very professional and assigned us a DJ for the wedding (DJ Mitch). We received a login and were able to search and save our favorite songs into the account for our wedding.
A few weeks prior to the wedding DJ Mitch contacted me to discuss the timeline and music. He showed up early on the day of our wedding to introduce himself and get set up. He was also very professional and outgoing. He played the music we chose, but also added songs in the same genre to keep everyone dancing. We had a great reception thanks to Hilly Country DJ and DJ Mitch!

We used Hill Country DJ for our wedding reception at Zilker Park, and THEY WERE AWESOME.

DJ Floyd met with us the week of our wedding and took the time to personally get to know us and get a feel for want we really wanted. We wanted each of our wedding attendees to be introduced to a 15 second clip of their favorite song, and he made it happen.

During the event, he was flexible on the schedule. He kept the party going and got a great feeling for want we and our guests wanted. It was the most fun I have ever had, and DJ Floyd was a big part of that

Our wedding reception was amazing and the music was perfect throughout the night with Floyd being out dj for the evening! We wanted a dance party for our wedding and Floyd was there to bring on the music! I would highly recommend this company for your wedding or any type of celebration! DJ Mitch was awesome and had all 215 of our guests on the dance floor all night long. We hired Hill Country DJ to be our wedding DJ at our reception. DJ Mitch was awesome! We didn't have much of a list ready, so he talked us through it and gave us some options. We gave him an idea of what we were looking for in regards to dinner music and dance music and he knew exactly what we looking for. The dinner music was mixed very well and some friends commented how well it accompanied the dinner. The dance music was great and got everyone on the floor! I couldn't have been happier with DJ Floyd. He is very personable, and I loved that he plays music based on the audiences reaction (of course he will play only your provided list of music if that's what you prefer). I told him that other than being married, my husband and my goal for the wedding was that all of our guests had fun! I met with Floyd to discuss a flexible idea of music, but he watched our friends and family and played what made them dance. And they danced all night long! One of my friends said "Your DJ was great! I don't normally dance at weddings, but I danced almost every song at yours!" Floyd was the perfect pick!

DJ Mitch rocked the house at our wedding on September 13th at Rancho Mirando! He had everyone out on the dance floor including my husband who NEVER dances (he ended up dancing all night)! Since we planned the wedding from out of town, I didn't have the chance to meet up with Mitch before the wedding. Once we spoke on the phone, I knew we were in good hands! I had filled out the online list of songs that I wanted to be played, but I told Mitch that this was his area of expertise and to do what he does best! He definitely did it!! Everyone enjoyed his choice of songs and he made sure to include the ones that I really wanted too! Everyone danced the night away and had a great time! We would highly recommend Mitch!

Mitch did our wedding at the Terrace Club on 10/03/2014 and we couldn't have been more happier with the performance! My husband had HIGH expectations for our playlist and constantly wanted people on the dance floor, and that is exactly what Mitch delivered without any issues. He had everyone out on the dance floor from our grandparents (that swore they would never dance) to our little 1-3 yr old nieces that didn't want to step foot off the dance floor, from the time the dance floor opened until the end of the night. It was everything we had wanted plus more. He was very responsive to my emails and also helping with song choices. He is AWESOME and if you book with him you will NOT be disappointed and neither will your guest!!

Floyd is on POINT. Not only did i worry I was too vague about my song selection, but my musical spectrum was all over the place. I was asking a lot of this guy-a complete stranger-to magically figure me out, my musical taste and preferred party vibe -within 48 hours of the party of the century----AND HE NAILED IT!

Several of my guests have expressed that my wedding and reception were the best they'd been to. Music moves people!

Nick at Hill Country DJ did our wedding and it was an absolute hit. We gave him 25-30 song suggestions and gave him free rein to play similar songs to our style as long as it kept the party going and the people dancing. We just wanted everyone to have a good time at our wedding, so the DJ is a huge part in keeping everyone involved and dancing. He succeeded with flying colors.

At one point Nick was actually on the dance floor dancing (in a completely professional manner) with our friends and family. At no point was the dance floor empty, as is common with many weddings, instead it was a great celebration that everyone enjoyed. We heard many positives about Hill Country DJ before booking, and everything was true. I'd recommend requesting Nick as your DJ if you're looking for your event to flow seamlessly and everyone to have a great time. I can guarantee you won't find a better value and someone so easy to work with that truly listens to what you want.

Mitch Baer was the DJ from Hill Country DJ for my daughter's wedding. His choice of songs was wonderful. He was very "in tune" with the guests to play the songs that kept everyone moving. We didn't have to give him much direction. He was very professional..not corny....do not hesitate to choose him when deciding on a DJ for your special day. My daughter was very happy and I think all the guests, whether they were dancing or not, enjoyed the music!

Mitch was the DJ at our wedding back in March. He did an excellent job and we were very pleased with the music selections he chose! He was very responsive leading up to the wedding and was able to answer any and every question I had! He is professional and knowledgable when it comes to his job. I'm really surprised that there aren't more reviews for this DJ company!

DJ Floyd was our DJ. And I could not have been happier. I was initially a bit worried because my husband and I were really vague during our meeting. (DJ: "Do you like xyz music?" Husband & I: "Errrr....") But amazingly, he was NOT fazed by our lack of direction. He read the room and increased/decreased the tempo accordingly. The dance floor was packed from song one! We even threw him a bit of a curveball and asked him to play some Bollywood music during the cocktail hour. We handed him a disc of the music AT the wedding! He handled that curveball splendidly and somehow knew exactly which songs to play. Our Bollywood loving friends tore up the dance floor.

I would highly recommend DJ Floyd.

DJ Nick was great for our wedding. We emailed back and forth multiple times before the wedding and we had an hour-long meeting where I explained what we did and absolutely did not want on the wedding day. He did not disappoint and stuck to the plan. Hill Country DJ has a cool system where you can plan the timeline of your event and pick songs you love, like or hate. I felt like we had control, which was important as we both love dancing and music. I had originally wanted a band for the wedding, but I'm so happy we went with DJ Nick and the team. They also spent a lot of time on our slideshow, making sure it was good for the event. They aren't pushy; they realize it's your day and they are there to help make it how you want it. Book them.

We had Mitch on the ones and twos for our wedding on 5/17/2014. We planned our entire wedding and knew that our guests would remember two things from the reception: the food and the music. We had the food covered, but knew that the music had to be bumping.

We liked what we heard at one wedding and asked about their DJ and was sent to GreenBelt DJ. Unfortunately, they were booked for our day, so they sent us to their sister company Hill Country DJ. We interviewed Mitch and liked what we heard. We hired Mitch for our wedding. There was very little contact until 3-4 weeks before the event. We met with Mitch 9 days before our event to go over the timeline and music selection for our entry, first dances, cake cutting, garter toss, boquet toss, and last dances. He asked us our music selection and told him that we liked Motown, classic 80's, and early 90s hip-hop. He caught our vibe and knew what to bring.

Mitch was the MC and worked well with our day-of coordinator. She kept things on schedule and he did the announcing. The wedding party made their entry and he announced us without a problem. He played Jazz and Motown during dinner. After dinner, we had our toasts and first dances. As the sun was up, our party was pretty tamed, but as the sun set, the dance floor started to bump and pretty soon, we had a steady diet of hip hop from the 90s and the noughts (00s). There was a soul train, people doing the worm down the train, and some people doing break dancing. This was due to Mitch playing the right music to create the right mood.

We are glad that we choose Hill Country DJ as our music provider. You will not have to worry about the music

Hill Country is great to work with, and Nick in particular! He is more than happy to sit down with you in person or over the phone prior to the wedding, which I highly recommend. I had very specific requests for music, which he was happy to accommodate, but he also asked us several questions we hadn't considered. Hill County DJ also has an amazing online tool on which you can specify which songs you love, like, or hate, and their library is extensive. You can build a specific playlist if you want! They are also happy to acquire any songs they don't have in their library. Super easy to work with and I highly recommend DJ Nick!

DJ Nick MC'd our wedding in May and he was tremendous! I highly recommend him. From our first consultation at his home to the end of the reception, Nick was a first-class professional. He knows what it takes to ensure that people have a good time, and I could tell he was gauging his music selection to fit the mood of the crowd. His music got many people dancing! After the wedding I was told many times how much they enjoyed reception, and DJ Nick is due a fair amount of credit for that. Hire him - you won't regret it!

DJ Floyd did an amazing job! We were not completely sure what we wanted, but Floyd's questions during our prewedding meeting (which he agreed to do with us via Skype as we are not in Austin) really helped us focus and give him a direction. Hill Country DJ's website was also very easy to use and helpful, allowing us to indicate some must haves and must not haves. Floyd basically took it from there, making the music the easiest part of our planning process. AND he totally nailed it. He had most of the guests on the dance floor all night! He was also completely calm and cool when we made last minute changes. My husband and I, and I'm sure our guests, highly recommend DJ Floyd.

We just used Hill Country DJ for our wedding on July 27th, 2013. Our DJ was Floyd and he did a fantastic job! He is very professional and knowledgable about music. Floyd kept everyone dancing all night! The company Hill Country DJ has an awesome website where you can plan your wedding down to the minute with what music is played (if you are super OCD haha). The website also lets you build playlists and request music. Floyd had no problem with me requesting custom songs, and even making suggestions he thought I would like. Everyone at Hill Country DJ aims to please and they respond very quickly to all e-mails, text messages and phone calls.

Overall working with Floyd and Hill Country DJ was a great experience and I would recommend them to anyone I know who is getting married!

We had the pleasure of Floyd's DJ skills at our wedding. In preparing for the day, Floyd asked great questions and took the time to get to know our music vibe. We wanted to share our own playlists just so he could get a better sense of our taste and he was very open to this. I'm from Texas but live in California and he was very easy to work with remotely. We received so many compliments on how fun the music was for the dance portion of the night and all of the music for the ceremony was seamless. DJ Floyd was awesome! Everyone was dancing and getting crazy and I love how he incorporated songs that I specifically requested (even if one of them was definitely not going to get people out on the dance floor, and I wanted it played because it was an inside joke for a big group of the people there). He kept a lot of people out on the dance floor all the way up until it was time to go. And even though we had been dancing for hours, a lot of guests weren't ready to stop! I had multiple friends come up to me saying it was one of the most fun receptions they had been to and a BIG part of that goes to Floyd and keeping the party hopping all the way through!

He definitely kept in mind requests that I made for songs. He also helped me think of genres of music and songs for specific parts of the wedding I hadn't even thought about and had no idea of. Floyd was also flexible and even when there were multiple changes about who was giving toasts/speeches/if there was going to be a father/daughter dance, he was good with all of it and just did his thing.

Would recommend Hill Country DJ/ DJ Floyd for anyone that wants to have a lot of dancing at their wedding- he's great at reading the crowd and keeping people out on the dance floor!

Cedric of Hill Country DJ provided services for our daughter's wedding over the Memorial Day weekend. We hired DJ Floyd for our wedding ceremony and reception, and couldn’t have been happier with his performance that night. He mixed in all of the songs we requested, was a total pro at introducing the wedding party and doing miscellaneous “emcee” parts throughout the night, and did an AWESOME job getting people on the dance floor in a non-pushy way. He knew the appropriate song mix and energy level to get parents and older folks on the dance floor at the beginning of the night, and kept the dance beats strong throughout the night. Even with a relatively small guest count of 75, we were really happy with the amount of people on the dance floor all night.

The only frustration with DJ Floyd came during the planning stages of the wedding. Most of the time he was great - met us at a convenient coffee shop for our consultation, had some nice forms and online portal to select songs, etc. However, there were a few times that emails went unanswered, and one meeting that was a last-minute postponement.

We highly recommend DJ Floyd to anyone!

Nick was an awesome DJ! We enjoyed our meeting with him and he did a wonderful job of both serving as MC throughout the night to keep things moving, working with our other vendors, making our requests happen and keeping people dancing! Hill Country DJ was responsive and helped answer our questions throughout the process as well. We recommend them highly!

We had DJ Nick for our wedding ceremony and reception. First of all, I was very happy that DJ Nick was flexible on time. We moved the time of the ceremony up by 30 mins and that was no problem for him. I was also happy that he suggested having a FaceTime session a couple of weeks prior to go over details and make sure we were on the same page.
For ceremony music, I was a bit disappointed - we had one song picked out for the bridal party to walk down the aisle and then a separate song for me, the bride, to walk down the aisle. He started playing my song as the flower girl walked down, then realized his mistake and switched back to the bridal party song and then switched again moments later when I really did start walking down the aisle. It sounded very messy.
My other complaint was that he was constantly checking in with me about whether I was ready for the first dance, cake cutting, flower toss, practically everything he announced he checked in with me first. I very much appreciated him keeping us on schedule by doing the announcements, but i had sent him a timeline for everything and I would have much rather him just stick to the timeline as closely as he could, make the announcements accordingly, and let me enjoy the night. Instead I felt like I was talking to him more than most of my guests.
DJ Nick was very nice and easy to get ahold of by email. However, if you want to enjoy your night, I suggest you establish beforehand that you don't want to have him constantly checking in for everything.

We used DJ Marco for our wedding. He was extremely nice and professional however, we felt the sound quality was off for the wedding ceremony. Our pastor got a little disrupted due to the audio feed making a high pitch noise. Cocktail hour was great.
Dinner we had to ask him to turn down the music. We were across the dance floor from him and we were having to yell so I can only imagine it was way too loud for our guests sitting in the tables close to the dj booth.
He also didn't play a song that I specifically requested (my parents song) so they could dance.
The music was upbeat and very fun. Being able to pick out songs online and "x" out ones we didn't like was nice.
Another negative - no one could understand anything he said over the mic during the reception. When we were trying to do the garter and bouquet toss, we had to actually go tell people we were doing it bc no one understood what he said.

Our get away vehicle ended up being late so DJ Marco kept the music going to keep everyone entertained which we REALLY appreciated!

Working with Hill Country DJ was overall a 3.5 in experience. I selected them as they were listed as a preferred vendor on my venue's website. I liked their website and the flexibility to select the songs and rate them as "like", "love" and "hate." I ended up printing out a Do Not Play list for my guests so they did not harass the DJ.
I had a certain song I wanted played when I walked down the aisle and Mitch did that perfectly. My husband also had a certain version of song he wanted when he entered with his groomsmen and Mitch did that as well.
My critique would be that a couple of the songs I requested to play that were not downloaded to his playlist. The last dance song with my husband being the main disappointment-as he had not downloaded what I had confirmed by phone, email and on their website with him.
I had also asked that our first dance be cut off a certain time, being that it has a long instrumental part in the middle. He did not cut it off when had discussed (phone, email and website), and despite constant attempts to make eye contact, Mitch missed my gestures.
Mitch had our fraternity and sorority songs, our themed dance song, and played the requested music during cocktail hour. The cocktail hour music was perfect .There were a couple songs I had wanted to hear during the dancing that were not played, though specifically requested, but the music selection that was played was perfect for the crowd.

My husband wanted a DJ, so we requested Floyd but they gave us Mitch instead. It wasn't horrible, but it could have been way better. I really liked the software that the company uses, but communication was an issue. The DJ was difficult to get a hold of and awkward in person. Frankly, we weren't sure that he was going to show up. At least one friend tried to make a song request and was unhappy with how he interpreted it, and my parents said he simply disappeared at the end of the night. He also opened the door to the bridal suite a couple of times, looked around, and then left without speaking? The ceremony went off without a hitch, but not many people were inspired to dance during the reception. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but our experience wasn't representative of 99% of the reviews left for this company and for the DJ himself. Ultimately, we would have had a better experience if we had used our own music and not spent $1000 on this DJ.

Do Not Recommend DJ Keith

I got married in July 2025 and honestly regret not writing this review sooner. I’m writing it now because I still think about how badly the music was handled, which is frustrating considering music was one of the most important parts of our wedding.

I made it extremely clear during planning that I’m a huge music person and had very specific requests. I spent hours filling out planning documents, curating playlists, and even going through the 200 most common wedding songs list crossing out all the songs we absolutely did not want played. Despite that effort, many of those exact songs were played anyway.

He also completely missed our first dance by going straight into reception music instead of starting the song we had planned. When we tried to correct it, my husband and I were left standing awkwardly in the middle of the dance floor while he searched for the song. He insisted he didn’t have the correct version, which wasn’t true. I had to walk over to the booth myself, find the song on his system, and point it out to him so we could finally start. It was incredibly awkward and not the moment any couple wants during their first dance.

Other issues included, ignoring our “do not play” list, refusing requests from close family members, arguing loudly with our wedding planner in front of guests, playing our requested last dance song randomly during the reception, then ending the night with “Don’t Stop Believin’”, which was explicitly listed as a DO NOT PLAY song.

Right before our private last dance he even came over to ask if he had the correct song available, which didn’t exactly inspire confidence.

The only part of the music that went well was cocktail hour, because it was simply my Spotify playlist playing straight through.

At the end of the day, I could have run Spotify myself and had a better outcome while saving the money. If music is important to you for your wedding, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
