Josh was AMAZING!! I cannot express how great of a DJ he was for my wedding. We received so many compliments about how good he was - I mean the guests literally never left the dance floor once it got started. & all we did was give him a basic outline of what we wanted, and he constructed a FIRE playlist!! He even sent us the final edits of our first dance song so we could construct our choreography around it. He brought everything he needed for the day, making set up super easy, too. & he provided the cold sparklers for our exit, giving it a little extra bang at the end. Couldn't have asked for a better person to work with for our wedding!! -

We recently had the pleasure of having Josh Woeckener as our DJ for our destination wedding, and we couldn't be happier with our experience! From the moment we met him, it was clear that he understood our vision and was committed to making our special day unforgettable.
Josh took the time to listen to our preferences and incorporated our favorite songs and styles into the playlist, creating the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. His energy was contagious, and he kept our guests on the dance floor all night long! We received countless compliments about the music and how seamlessly everything flowed.
Not only did he provide fantastic entertainment, but he also played a crucial role in coordinating the timing of events throughout the evening. His professionalism and attention to detail ensured that everything went off without a hitch.

Have a blast with DJ Josh at highlight weddings
Josh was amazing, not only was he in Constant communication with us on our Preferences, he also knew all the right moves to keep the party hopping. We had everyone from 7yr olds to my 80yr Grandma dancing All Night long (that is quite a feet for five hrs). Needless to say we and all the guest had a blast and if you need a DJ I highly recommend DJ Josh from highlight Weddings.

Josh is the absolute best. From the first time I talked with him he was intentional about listening to what my husband and I wanted for our special day. He made the process super easy for us to curate our playlist and he took care of the rest. We had the time of our lives during our reception thanks to Josh. His communication was amazing and he made planning our soundtrack easy & fun. Josh put his heart and soul into making our wedding a dream. My husband and I had many songs we wanted to hear and Josh made sure they were played while adding his own twist into making the experience even better. Josh from Highlight Weddings & Events was absolutely perfect for our wedding! He met with us in the months leading up to the wedding to get our music taste, and also the vision for our entire wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception).
He gave us plenty of great ideas and feedback throughout the process. His positive energy on wedding day was contagious and something we feel helped make our night even more special. Josh also set up cold sparks for key moments which made for so many amazing photographs. We could not have been happier. Our wedding was a blast and Josh was a huge reason why.

Josh has this DJ business in the bag. He offers everything you could need or want in a DJ and knows exactly how to execute flawlessly... and all for a fair price. We really wanted a emcee/DJ that would ensure we could avoid snafus we saw at multiple weddings: cannot hear officiant/bride/groom during ceremony, ceremony music stopping/re-starting continuously, no one dancing during the reception, only basic wedding songs being played, equipment eye-sores. Josh delivered on preventing all of these things and more. After our initial consult with him, all our fears were settled and on the wedding day he performed perfectly. He gets to your venue very early to make sure the ceremony set-up is perfect, provides lapel mics for both the officiant and groom, and sets up speakers in optimal locations for guest experience (if you get the ceremony package which you 100% should). The equipment he uses for the reception is white and minimal (but still very high quality and functional) and blended nicely with our decor. He was very organized when getting the wedding party lined up for the reception entrance. Everyone was paired up correctly and knew exactly what to do when. He played all the correct songs we specifically requested for certain moments during the entire wedding day and was flexible when the schedule shifted, but moved onto the next "item" at the precisely right moment. When we were ready to wrap-up first dances it was very easy to communicate that to him subtly and seamlessly on the dance floor. From the moment the dance floor opened, every one was on it. There was never a second during our reception where a lull in the party existed or people were sitting down. He incorporated song requests and was attentive to the crowd vibe, while still maintaining our no-play preferences, playing all our must-plays, and keeping our desired vibe. It was very important to us overall to have a very personalized feel at our wedding. Josh specializes in this. He made it clear at our consultation he was committed to getting to know us on a personal level so he could tailor his services to our preferences. Josh even accompanied me on a venue visit to help me decide if I needed uplighting or if the included dance lights would suffice. He is very honest and does not pressure you to add more than you want or need (just the dance lights worked great for me even in the grand hall space I had). Prior to the wedding he sends a very detailed questionnaire to ensure he has your input on every moment and any special requests you have are included and then has a meeting to discuss it all. He follows up the week before the wedding to ensure there aren't any missing pieces and is available by phone, text, or email from booking all the way up to the wedding day. He even wears attire to match your wedding colors! I can't recommend Josh enough. He can be found at all the best weddings in the panhandle and that is because he is simply the best in the area! -

We could not have been more happy with Josh and Highlight Weddings and Event! I think the thing that blew me away the most about Josh was how much he truly wanted to get to know us through out the wedding planning process and make sure our day was unique to us. We booked him over a year in advance and from day 1 he checked in with us to make sure all our questions they were answered. He gave us some great suggestions for things we could start planning when it came to song selection to better help him get to know our music taste. The day of was SO perfect. Josh helped us live stream the ceremony since a lot of close family members were not able to attend. The reception was exactly what we wanted and all of our friends still comment how fun they had dancing the night away. We got SO many compliments from everyone young and old about how FUN our wedding was and that was in large part to Josh for keeping the party going! He truly was one of our favorite vendors to work with and extremely helpful from start to finish. He will go above and beyond to make sure your wedding day is nothing short of perfection! -

Josh was the DJ for our 3/13 wedding at the Emerald Grande in Destin. He was so fun to work with. If we had a question or concern, he was very responsive with addressing our need. I talked to him a couple of times before our big day so he knew our likes and dislikes and our vision for our wedding. During the reception, he mixed songs that created a fun vibe to dance to without using an entire song. (I don’t usually listen to an entire song anyway. 😅) 10/10 recommend DJ Josh for all your wedding needs! -

Great entertainment!
We hired Josh for our November 23, 2019 wedding at the Navarre Beach Wedding House. Throughout the whole process he was very thorough and kept in contact. Any changes I needed to make he was right on it. He made my wedding flow perfectly with a compete timeline and kept the guest completely entertained. I would give Josh ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ for their upcoming wedding or gathering. -

Let me just start out by saying WOW. DJ Josh from the moment we sat with him... he made an amazing impression. He is so professional and prepared. He asked so many questions... some that we didn’t even think of... to ensure our day was special. He was very involved during the whole preparation process... Getting in touch with our photographer and wedding host to ensure the timing of the music was perfect during our special day. Loved that he mic’ed us up at the alter and kept me informed about what was next and helped ease my nerves on my big day. Oh and the music selection was spot on all night. DJ Josh is a must at your wedding. Highly highly recommend him.
