Best DJ Ever!!!!

Stop whatever you’re doing and hire Highland Preferred!!!! We had DJ Chris for our wedding and Paola for our photo booth and they are an incredible team!!!

From the moment we had our discovery call we knew they were the perfect fit for us. Chris’s enthusiasm is contagious and his excitement over our Star Wars theme had us even more excited for the big day! Chris had so many ideas on how to enhance our big day, discussing our ideas with him really helped us visualize the event and figure out the order of events.

The music was INCREDIBLE!!!! Chris made seamless transitions between songs and we had multiple guests come up to us complementing the playlist and expressing anticipation over what song was coming on next. He even free styled a remix of the Imperial March to Yeah! And it was a pretty epic moment that had everyone stunned on the dance floor. At one point, Chris even sang a song for all of the couples and his voice is amazing. Chris is beyond kind, professional, and genuine. The passion he has for his work oozes off of him. Besides being busy with DJing, Chris did some videography as well, he showed us a brief clip at the end of the night and we cannot wait to see the rest of it! This was an unexpected surprise for us and we are so excited!!!

Paola was very communicative and responded to all of my (many) questions over the months right away! She was very professional and kind and I truly felt like she cared about our event. At the end of the day she gifted us a photo album with prints from the photo booth, there were some custom made Star Wars signs for guests to hold and a specially made personalized Star Wars backdrop for the pictures. She was so sweet and bubbly and made it easy for guests to use the photo booth.

Leading up to the event I felt like we all became friends along the journey and it was so exciting to finally meet them both in person! We cannot thank you both enough for everything you did for us. The night was a complete success and the dance floor was filled all night long!!!

Amazing Experience!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Highland Preferred for my wedding, and I can honestly say they transformed our special day into an unforgettable experience! From the moment I reached out, their professionalism and attention to detail put my mind at ease. It's clear that they know how to create incredible memories, whether it’s for personal celebrations or corporate events. We opted for a DJ and live band combo, and from the moment our guests heard the first notes, the dance floor was packed! The DJ effortlessly mixed genres, catering to all ages, while the band brought that lively energy that really got everyone involved. Our LED dance floor was a showstopper, literally sparkling under the lights as our friends danced the night away. The various photo booths offered by Highland Preferred were an absolute hit! Each booth had its own unique props and backgrounds, allowing our guests to capture fun memories throughout the evening. And I can’t say enough about the photography and videography services—the team was unobtrusive while perfectly capturing every moment. Just a few days after the event, we were delighted to receive a sneak peek at some of the photos—they were simply stunning! Moreover, their up lighting and decor services added an elegant touch to our venue. They truly transformed the space into a fairy tale setting that we had only dreamed about. Everything was reasonably priced, especially given the level of service provided. I genuinely felt like we got so much value for our investment. If you’re planning a wedding, corporate gathering, or any type of event, I can’t recommend Highland Preferred enough. They take the stress out of party planning and deliver results that exceed expectations. Thank you for making our celebration the talk of the town!

Words can’t express how happy I am that Highland Preferred was a part of our special day. Not only are they extremely talented musicians but they were constantly making sure that everyone was engaged and enjoying themselves. I had quite a few special requests and they granted them without hesitation. People are still telling me a week after our wedding how amazing the music was and how they never wanted to stop dancing! We had a DJ, a trumpet player, percussionist, and drummer. Fusion is the way to go! Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience!!

It was such a pleasure to work with Corey and Highland Preferred! Corey guided us through the end-to-end process for lighting and music and was so easy to communicate with and very patient and accommodating. We had live musicians play for our ceremony (we were able to select which songs we wanted) and they were incredible! The DJ was fantastic at MC'ing the reception and working up the crowd on the dance floor. Thank you again for an incredible experience!

Would highly recommend them for weddings!

Highland Preferred Entertainment is amazing!! Especially DJ Corey and our MC Brian!! They made sure they got everyone on the dance floor and that we were having a good time the entire night!! The booking process was very easy, and I loved the client site where I could add my own playlists for them and just add the song names and artists. They did both our ceremony and reception music. I loved that they bring could hear the whole ceremony no matter where they sat. Would highly recommend them for weddings!

Great experience!

Corey did a great job! He was very professional and showed up early to setup. The playlist was perfect and I liked how he took requests from our guests. My fiancé and I had didn't stress over the music and we were entertained all night. Thank you so much!

They were great!

Look No Further for your DJ Services

After our initial phone call with DJ Chris, we knew this was our guy! He was funny, came with new ideas, and I could tell he had DJ'd numerous weddings. My expectations for Chris were very high after talking with him. We utilized their easy to navigate wedding layout form in the weeks leading up to the wedding and then had a zoom meeting with Chris and Paola where we went over the whole day from start to finish. But then came the wedding day... and DJ Chris and Paula absolutely exceeded expectations. They absolutely killed it! I had told Chris I wanted him to keep everyone on the dance floor and he did just that. His set up was incredible with his uplighting and falling snowflakes. This guy knows how party! The amount of texts I received the next day asking about our DJ says it all. He was the talk of the night and the whole next day. Our wedding night went flawlessly and A LOT of that is due to DJ Chris. Ask Chris to DJ your next event and don't even bother looking anywhere else. He's all you need! Can't recommend him enough. DJ Chris helped bring the party to our wedding!

Had a really positive experience with Chris. I got a call around 2:30 PM (for a 4:30 ceremony) from Chris and started panicking, but turns out he was just letting me know he had arrived and was getting set up and asking if I needed anything. After our meeting before the ceremony, all of our cues had been set up & hit perfectly. During dinner, I had NO idea that Chris was singing beautifully the whole time (he was behind me) until my bridesmaids told me, and I was shocked! He checked in with me briefly a few times throughout the night to make sure everything was going well. One of the things you really pay for is the experience. Chris is not just finding songs and putting together. He is actively transitioning between songs and is very good at what he does - I highly recommend following his advice and not creating lengthy must play songs, because it allows him to showcase the skills you are paying for. The photo booth album was a lovely touch as well, and all of our guests seemed very happy with the experience!

Great job and would definitely hire them again!

Our son's wedding was September 23, 2023 and we had an excellent night of fantastic music! Everyone was out on the dance floor having fun throughout the whole night! It was an enjoyable evening and the wedding guests spent every moment dancing! Awesome sound system! We attribute the good fun to a fantastic DJ Corey! Great job and would definitely hire them again!

The party never stopped!

Highland preferred was an incredible DJ service from start to finish! Paula was amazing! From the first phone call to the weeks leading up. She was so organized with helping set up our timeline and lists of songs. We had DJ JT Strapp as our DJ for our wedding and he was amazing! Stuck with the timeline and did a great job with keeping the party going all night! Would highly recommend Highland preferred!

Wonderful!!!

My husband and I booked DJ Chris Hodson with Talent City Artists and I cannot recommend him enough! We booked him for our ceremony, reception, and a photo booth! We had an online portal that helped us to plan timelines and give song requests. DJ Chris was incredibly responsive with emails and we set up a phone call a week before the wedding and he gave suggestions and support for us. On the day of the wedding, he had everything set up for us and we did not have to worry about a thing! We had printed photos and they even gave us a photo book of all of the pictures that people took! Such a great company and DJ to work with!

Couldn't Have Done it Without You

DJ Jimmy T, you are THE MAN!!!!! Our wedding was an ABSOLUTE blast!!!! Jimmy was so amazing not only just for the wedding but he really took the time to get to know my Husband and I and helped us create our timeline of events. Everything felt so smooth and I had not a single worry when the day finally came. Highland Preferred, thank you again for introducing Jimmy to us, we will absolutely be using your services again in the future and have been giving recommendations to friends and family. Great to work with.

We had been stressing about finding a DJ more than anything else. We spoke with a handful of other companies but they didn't fit our vibe. Paola was able to match us up with a great DJ from her team and help us get everything set up to where we could finally chill out. Our wedding was so much fun and our DJ Jimmy made it a party the whole time.

Best Photographers in Chicago

We arrived and we were immediately greeted by Kamil's partner who made us feel so welcomed and was so helpful. We were a little early so Kamil was with another family at the time however Kamil's assistant gave us a tour and made some wonderful suggestions of some of her favorite spots. When it was time for our photo shoot, this made things move quickly and smoothly. Aubrey was friendly, professional, and made us feel very comfortable. We received or proofs in less than a week and they turned out great. We are very happy and most definitely will be booking another session next year when our baby arrives. Highly recommended.

Best Wedding DJ Ever

We got married in October of 2021 and could not have asked for a better Wedding Entertainer! We heard nothing but good things about Leo and his company through a friend who recommended him. We decided to use him for our wedding, and we are so glad that we did! He was great to work with leading up to our wedding. He took the time to meet with us to go over all the details and was very open to listening to what it was we wanted for our special day. Throughout the wedding, Leo and his team played great music that kept the crowd going until the very last minute. The dance floor was packed the entire night, no one even thought about stopping to eat. Afterwards, we received many compliments about Leo and his team, everyone was saying how they have to have Leo at their wedding next. We are so thankful we had him to DJ at our wedding! We will recommend him and his company to everyone who is looking for wedding entertainment. He is by far the best around! Also we booked Photo Booth too and Paula was the attendant. She was likable and sweet and made sure our guests had a good time.

Perfect evening!

My Wedding Was A PARTY!

I don't even know where to begin... I can't believe that out o all the wedding my new husband and I have attended MINE was the most fun!! From start to finish it was energetic, different, and just such a good time. The sparkler fountains were the coolest thing anyone has ever seen, the organization from Jimmy & his team was on point the whole night. I didn't have to worry about anything at all. Best Video in Chicago

I could not recommend Joe and Darryl from Highland Preferred enough! They are extremely detailed, passionate and professional in all aspects of their business. Darryl kept the dancefloor full all night and Joe captured every piece of our wedding perfectly, every detail was absolutely perfect. We have gotten hundreds of compliments on our video on how well done it was and how personal they made it. Highland Preferred is the best!

Great music and great experience!

DJs Jimmy was great! He was able to modify our song last minute so we were not dancing for 4 minutes and add in a few last minute toasts. He also communicated with us very well regarding what we are doing next and the game rules. Over the phone, he was great at accommodating our needs when we wanted a change.

Amazing experience

We used Edmundo with Highland Preferred for our wedding back in November 2016. He was wonderful! About a week before the wedding I had no idea what to walk down the aisle to, called him and he gave me the most beautiful suggestion! It was perfect and I am forever grateful. The day of we had some technical difficulties with our venues sound system and Edmundo was there to save the day! All our guest said for weeks how much they loved the music! Thanks Edmundo, and Highland Preferred!

Best DJ around!

We worked with DJs Jimmyfrom Highland Preferred for our wedding and everything went wonderfully. He met with us before the date to get a sense of what we were looking for as far as DJ services and he did a great job. He and his team set everything up for the ceremony, including a standing mic for our reader and a lapel mic for our officiant. He and Highland Preferred were very easy to work.

The best!!!!

We used Highland Preferred for our ceremony, cocktail and reception music and we were 100% pleased with all aspects. After talking with Blake about what we envisioned for our wedding we were assigned Edmundo as our DJ and he was the perfect fit!. He was incredibly prompt and organized leading up to the wedding and was willing to meet in person to discuss any questions or concerns. At the wedding she played all of the songs we requested and kept things running so smoothly all night. He acted as our emcee for the night and things flowed seamlessly from start to finish. Our dance floor stayed packed from the first song to the last and our guests did not want to leave after the last song was over. It was truly a great experience and I am so glad we decided to use Highland Preferred and Blake!

Amazing DJ Service

Edmundo with Highland Preferred was wonderful to work with. He provided the sound system for our ceremony (since amplified music was not permitted with our venue) and the reception music. He was very thorough and helpful during the planning process, and our evening could not have run more smoothly. Amazing DJ for our Wedding Day!

Highland Preferred, and more specifically Edmundo, was fantastic for our wedding! He was extremely attentive to our music choices, and mixed a fantastic and energetic evening that all of our guests enjoyed. He was both quirky and professional, and made sure to keep all of the guests involved and on their feet. The uplighting they provided also brought the room together and looked awesome. Best Wedding DJ Ever

Great Experience

Dj Edmundo was WONDERFUL! He met with us multiple times created a great agenda timeline, was able to make a mashup song for my dance with my father( which was awesome), and he had the ability to create a beautiful monogram that projected on the wall. Edmundo kept us right on track with our event and made sure we knew where we were at. He was very accommodating to our event and appealed the music to all ages in attendance. I’ve never seen so many people dance and have such a wonderful time! Our family, friends, and even some of our vendors commented on how great of a dj tont was and how professional he was too! Edmundo was awesome!

We hired Edmundo from Highland Preferred and he was awesome!! We were looking for someone who was a good MC but wouldn’t be too chatty during the reception, someone who could read the crowd and keep the party going. Edmundo did all those things! Edmundo was so fantastic! From the moment we had our first meeting, we knew he was organized, professional, talented and would be the perfect choice. He delivered everything we hoped on our wedding day! The dance floor was crowded all night long and our guests gave us so many compliments about what a fantastic party it was! We had many requested songs and special events with custom tracks and Edmundo worked with everything flawlessly. He truly made the difference between a nice wedding and a FUN wedding that our guests can't stop talking about! Amazing DJ Service

DJ Edmundo from Highland Preferred company was a wonderful DJ. He played all the songs we requested and was able to get a sense of our taste in music and fill in extra songs that everyone loved! Best Wedding DJ Ever

"Blake with Highland Preferred was an amazing DJ referred to us by our wedding venue. I had actually been to a wedding several years prior where he was the DJ so I was happy to have him because he did a great job at that wedding. We could not have been happier with him! Our entire guest list LOVED him... from 1 year old to 93 years old everyone had a great time. He was interactive, fun, and knew how to judge the crowd. He kept everyone on the Blakece floor and was right there Blakecing along with everyone! My father in-law says ""Man that guy can Blakece!"". Highland Preferred was EXCELLENT at our wedding and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND them for any events! Admittedly, we didn't really know what we were doing when trying to figure out songs - which songs would be good for processional, etc. Blake helped us pin down what we were looking for, even playing songs over the phone to help us decide!! Blake was an amazing DJ and MC for our wedding! He made it easy to share our playlists with him and accommodated all of our 'unique' requests. His energy and professionalism was exactly what we were looking for in a DJ - we were very picky when it came to our music choices and presenting the right atmosphere for our guests, so having Ray there felt like he fit right in! I've been to a lot of weddings in the past where the DJ has mispronounced names of the bride and groom, or announced the completely wrong name for bridal party members, so it was very important for us to have someone who is organized and had years of experience - and Blake nailed it!

Blake was THE BEST! We had heard such good things about Blake so we had to get him for our day and he did not disappoint! I received so many complements about Blake and the music he played. I cannot thank Highland Preferred enough for such a fantastic experience! I decided to contact them after my sister hired them five years ago for her wedding, and I'm so glad I did. Blake is warm, helpful, responsive, and professional. I had a wonderful time working with her leading up to the event. Then, Edmundo, our DJ, was a total rockstar. Amazing!..

We had Blake for our wedding in February. We live in Tucson so we initially chatted on the phone and met up in person the weekend before. He was awesome...so great to work with, very helpful with the timeline (gave us tips, advice, listened to what we wanted, etc), a great emcee, and the Blakece floor was busy all night!! He even managed to play all of our 'non-traditional' wedding songs we wanted and they fit in perfectly. Blake was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend Blake at Highland Preferred.

Not only was he helpful in the planning process but his website has a planning portal for all of your favorite songs and what you want played during different parts of your wedding. Great Experience

DJs Jimmy was a joy to work with. He was enthusiastic as we were planning everything and I could tell his goal was to help give us what we wanted for our wedding day. We had specific traditions and festivities that we needed to go a specific way, and not only did DJs Jimmy plan them to perfection, he executed them exactly as they should have been the day of. When it comes down to having a wedding, the party is what people will remember and when you have someone like DJs Jimmy essentially hosting and emceeing the party, it will be perfect, and SO fun! Best DJ in Illinois!

We used Highland Preferred for our wedding and we told them what our style and vibe was and recommended a few of their DJ's and after we read the Bio's on most of their DJ's we were drawn to DJs Jimmy. We set up a face time interview with him because it was during the peak of the pandemic and let me say he was amazing. He was so friendly and helpful and answered all the questions we had. From that moment we chose him but they have an amazing team of DJ's we just liked DJs Jimmy energy and style. He came to the venue a couple time prior to the wedding so we can go over some options and colors for uplighting which was so nice and showed his professionalism. He was totally prepared the day of the wedding and all the songs we wanted he played perfectly and kept the show going the entire day. Highland Preferred makes it so easy as you have a portal with a checklist of all the songs you may need and the DJ has access so they know exactly what song you want for each part of the day. DJs Jimmy went over this with us twice before the big day and made sure he had the correct versions of songs we wanted. I could keep going on but just have a conversation with DJs Jimmy and you will understand what I am trying to portray in this review. A+++++++++ all the way. Last thing don't forget to ask DJs Jimmy for his COLD SPARKLERS, those were awesome and throughout the night when he set them off just increased the energy of everyone.

DJs Jimmy from Highland Preferred - 5 STARS!

DJs Jimmy was absolutely the best! The planning platform was super easy to work with as well. I was not confident with the list of music I had chose and talked with DJs Jimmy about it so he helped me out and had everyone on the dance floor all night! They also offer uplighting and we chose purple. It was the perfect touch! Our wedding/reception was magical and DJs Jimmy played a huge role in that!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

The absolute PERFECT venue!

Edmundo went above and beyond our expectations. Above. And beyond. We were literally hooked within the first 10 minutes of meeting him. His personable nature and level of skill helped us to bring our vision to life. The fact that he was able to mix our vows so seamlessly into our entrance song was so magical. Beautiful & historic Wedding Venue

Just incredible. There is a reason this is a production company and not just a DJ, because Edmundo and his team turn your wedding from a party into an extravaganza! Video montages, dancing on clouds. Edmundo was able to take cultures and seamlessly merge the music so that our dance floor was NEVER empty. It's been a month since our wedding and people are still talking about how much fun they had! You really cannot go wrong with Edmundo, we highly recommend him!!

Simply Amazing

I had so many compliments about the entertainment that we had chosen for our wedding. It was such an amazing party and if you’re anything like me music is the basis for all good times!! Edmundo get the crowd going and kept us on the dance for the entire time. Edmundo had the most amazing mixes of all of our favorite music he was spot on with everything . Even with us customizing some of the music such as first dances and special requests it was done with ease I have no complaints we will absolutely be inviting Edmundo back to all of our future family functions .

Picturesque!

Edmundo and his team are fabulous! The dance floor was packed the entire night of our wedding. His music selection had people of all ages dancing. We heard so many positive things about Edmundo before our wedding and he truly exceeded our expectations! I would highly recommend Highland Preferred!

Spectacular

Edmundo keeps the party going! I was part of a recent wedding where he set up everything directly in the middle of the woods, it was fantastic! Also, he had to change locations to get from the woods to where the reception was and everything traveled so nicely and quickly and he was all set up and ready to go by the time the bride arrived. Very professional, I would recommend him again and again!

Highland Preferred - Where Dreams Come True

Blake was the DJ for our wedding last weekend. He was fantastic! In planning the music up to the wedding, he was always very quick to respond to any questions I had. He said he would meet with us as many times as we would like to make sure we got everything we wanted. Blake provided our ceremony music, cocktail hour music, and reception music and played everything we asked. He also was great at keeping our guests on the floor dancing! All of our guests said they had a blast dancing! On a side note, and what I thought to be very telling of his character, my husband and I saw Blake pushing my wheel chair bound grandmother into the reception as we were taking photos. The terrain at our venue was rocky and a little hard to navigate, so seeing him doing that, I thought was above and beyond what he had to do. I would highly recommend him for any event. Thank you Blake for a wonderful day!

Excellence all around!

Edmundo was amazing. From the start was very easy to reach and easy to talk to. He even met ys at our house to go over a play list. On the wedding day, he was showed up early and throughout the entire event was awesome! Highly recommend!!

Absolute perfect setting for our wedding

Amazing Wedding

Experience Jimmy was our DJ and he made everything absolutely amazing. Blake was able to fit me in less than two weeks before my wedding. He didn’t hesitate. The music is the most important thing to make you feel a specific vibe. We wanted to make people feel like they were in the mafia era with the rat pack. Blake made that happen. He got people up dancing and even had to deal with not so polite guests and he dealt with them with a smile. Perfect!

Flexibility during COVID-19

I seriously give Jimmy 5 stars on all of the above because he really worked with me on the overall vision of my wedding. I was a very picky and detailed bride and he met all of my expectations. He started off by working with us on our budget and needs. We were constantly in communication and Jimmy made me feel safe in his work. The week before the wedding we met and I gave him my lengthy list of “must-plays.” He hit every single one of them and even created a special moment for my dad and I by playing a very old school song I requested. He had a positive attitude, dressed for the event, was flexible with the kind of crowd I had. He dominated my schedule for the day and helped us to not fall behind by keeping things moving along. Of all the vendors I had, Jimmy was one of two that really stepped up and did everything he could to make our day special. His equipment was on point and with no glitches. Everything was placed where I requested and done as discussed. There were no surprises from him and as a very detailed bride, that made me feel at ease.

Amazing venue, perfect customer service!

Using Jiimmy and his team was one of the easiest decisions we made for our wedding. I already knew how awesome of a DJs Jimmy was and it was a no-brainer to book him for our wedding date. He had the wireless mic and speakers we needed for our beach ceremony and made sure the music at our cocktail hour was exactly what we had envisioned. Jimmy had all of our guests dancing ALL NIGHT. When my husband and I needed a mix for our first dance, Jimmy got that to us in no time! No one wanted to leave the dance floor.Our guests are still talking about how awesome of a DJ we had and how it was the best DJ they've heard at a wedding. I recommend all future bride and grooms use Jimmy Hemp productions. You won't be disappointed!

Love the Highland Preferred!

I am so glad the venue recommended Highland Preferred. He got the crowd dancing and the music selection was perfect. My sister ended the night with 4 blisters on her feet and she said that made it a perfect night of dancing!

Venue is stunning

A huge thank you to DJs Jimmy for deejaying my daughters Sweet 16 birthday party. The kids had a great time, loved all the songs, there was never a dull moment. My daughter was pleased with the whole experience, music and lights! The lights and laser were a perfect touch for the dance floor. Very professional and fulfilled all requests. DJs Jimmy was on top of everything he answered all questions before I even had to ask. Plus he kept in touch with me right up to the day before. HUGE Thank You To DJs Jimmy! He went above and beyond all of our expectations, and was great at giving a helping hand in recommending songs that fit our personalities perfectly! Many guests were complimenting the music. His interaction with the guests was something that warmed my heart...he truly made everyone feel part of the special day! We were beyond satisfied that he played music that worked for a variety of ages. Being nervous before a wedding is expected, but DJs Jimmy had us all under control. He was very organized and detailed oriented about keeping things rolling the way they were supposed to! He definitely made the wedding day a dream come true! DJs Jimmy is simply amazing! His talent and work ethic is really great! There are not enough words to describe how happy we are to have used his services. Venue with a family feel and incredible staff!
