Simply amazing!

Highland Chambers string Quartet played at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour! Ray was an absolute gem and easy to coordinate and work with. A week out from our wedding we still hadn't nailed down the processional and recessional songs. Highland Chambers handled our last minute requests with ease and gave awesome recommendations. We chose you're in love by Taylor Swift for the processional song and viva Lavida by Coldplay for the recessional song. Our guests could not stop raving about how beautifully they played! It was fun for the guest to hear modern Pop songs played acoustically. I 1000% percent would recommend them for any wedding. They are the absolute best! Thanks again guys, you made our wedding wonderful!

Wonderful to work with Highland Chamber Players String Quartet for our wedding!

The Highland Chamber Players String Quartet added a touch of elegance to our wedding day with their beautiful music. From the moment we contacted them, they were easy to work with and accommodating to our requests. The musicians played a mix of classical pieces and modern songs, creating the perfect ambiance for our special day.

They were receptive to our song preferences and very easy to work with.

On the day of the wedding, the musicians arrived promptly and set up without any issues, allowing us to focus on getting ready. Their performance during the ceremony set the tone for a romantic and memorable event.

Perfect performance

The Highland Chamber Players made our daughter’s wedding last Saturday absolutely perfect!!! They were easy to communicate with and very flexible as we added a soloist to the ceremony music and asked to lengthen the time they played during the dinner afterwards. They are very talented and professional musicians!! We would recommend them for any event!! Just perfect!!!

Beautiful music

I was extremely pleased with highland chamber players. I had some specific requests and an accompaniment and they were flexible and very helpful, so that I had exactly the music I wanted for my wedding. The guests were commenting how beautiful the prelude was. Would highly recommend :)

Beautiful String Quartet

The Highland Players were so wonderful to work with for our ceremony music. The music was gorgeous and they have a great selection of modern songs, traditional songs, and others. The lovey ceremony music was one of the first things our guests mentioned when they came up to us at the wedding.

Highly Recommend!

The musicians at Highland Chamber Players are incredible and I could not recommend them more for a wedding! Because of COVID, we decided to forego the DJ and stick with Highland Chamber for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner. They went through everything seamlessly and the music was beautiful. They were also super easy to work with and very responsive. I can't say enough good things about the team there!

Incredible music & easy to work with!

Not only did the Highland Chamber Players provide the most wonderful music for our wedding ceremony, Ray was so easy to work with all along the way! He walked me through the song selection process, was un-phased when I needed to make changes, and was a true professional throughout the process. I highly recommend hiring them for your wedding; you won't be disappointed!!

The best touch

A professional string quartet with flair!

We hired Highland Chamber Players' string quartet to play during our wedding ceremony at Whitehall. They showed up on time, looked professional, and played absolutely beautiful music. They also handled my special requests with flexibility and ease. They learned "Everything" by Michael Bublé at no additional charge, and played "I choose you" by Sara Bareilles while my cousin-in-law (with whom they had never practiced before) sang the lyrics. They rolled with the punches and everything went off without a hitch. I highly recommend hiring them!

Responsive, Flexible, Talented!

This group of talented musicians was amazing to work with! Their music made our wedding day feel beautiful. They were very knowledgeable and skilled, helping us choose songs in an order that would flow together well. Ray quickly responded to all of my e-mails and phone calls, answering my questions and putting me at ease. They were flexible enough to be able to move from the ceremony location to the first dance location extremely quickly, so the whole thing went off without a hitch. Can't say enough good things about the Highland Chamber Players!

Great experience

When I contacted Ray, he replied very quickly. Working with Ray is easy and effortless. My daughter was married outside and HCP sounded great. They were most accommodating and played what was requested. After the ceremony they moved Inside and continued to play during cocktail hour. Once they finished, they packed up without disturbance. I would definitely use them again.

Highland Chamber Players performed at our wedding reception at Keeneland as our guests arrived. They did a phenomenal job. Very professional and accommodating. They played all of my special requests (including the Game of Thrones theme song!) We were very impressed and pleased with them - highly recommend!

What a joy it was to have Highland Chamber Players perform at my daughter’s wedding in August. What a class act!! Let me assure you, all these five-star ratings are WELL EARNED! They add elegance and grace to any event but more important is how accommodating and easy to work with Ray Weaver was. It was clear that he understands how tedious and complex (and sometimes aggravating!) a modern wedding can be with over a dozen vendors and venues to deal with. Ray and his talented ensemble handled our special requests and last minute tweaks with panache, professionalism, and a very appreciated, “no problem” attitude.

Without qualifications I would highly recommend Highland Chamber Players.

We hired HCP to play during our wedding ceremony and they were absolutely fantastic. I planned our Kentucky wedding from Seattle and Ray was incredibly kind and communicative over email. I only got amazing compliments and everything was beautiful. They have such a vast repertoire that my husband and I were able to pick fun, contemporary songs to match our personalities. The Highland Chamber Players are talented professionals that add serious class to any occasion!

Wow! We expected the excellent service that we had been hearing about from the Highland Chamber Players but they absolutely exceeded that expectation. They worked with us to create appropriate songs and were very flexible with all of our requests. Ray is very experienced, kind, and attentive. The wow moment for us was when the musicians played something they had never played before: The Persian Wedding Ballad! It felt like a risk to ask them musicians to play something like that but Ray was confident in his musicians when we discussed it during our meeting and his musicians absolutely delivered! All of our Persian guests were impressed and we were very happy to be able to use local professionals who could easily play a tune from my culture.

Thirty years ago I was married in December and the Highland Chamber Players played at my reception. The beautiful music and the comments from our guests always remained with me over the years since then. When my daughter recently married in May of this year, she wanted a string quartet at her wedding, I knew where to call. I hoped that they were still around thirty years later. Mr. Weaver was very professional. My daughter and her fiance wanted a song played at their wedding that was from the 80's, but had been redone in a completely different way. They met and talked with Mr. Weaver and he and the other members worked on an arrangement for the song. Her wedding day was gorgeous and so was the music that was played before and during the ceremony. Thirty years ago we received so many compliments and today we received the same. The Highland Chamber Players are wonderful. I highly recommend them for any occasion. Who knows? Maybe thirty years from now, they will be playing at my grandaughter's wedding. They are timeless!

Working with Ray in planning the music for my daughter's wedding was one of the easiest wedding tasks we had. Ray was available to meet in person and we were able to follow-up through phone and e-mail. The group arrived and performed as expected. The music was beautiful and just what we wanted. They played for the ceremony and cocktail hour, adapting the music as requested. We highly recommend the Highland Chamber Players String Quartet.

I can not say enough great things about the Highland Chamber Players. From my first inquiry, Ray was so responsive and genuinely concerned with making sure I was happy. I ended up booking the Trio for my wedding day and they blew me away. Without having met with them, they played my selections flawlessly and were so professional. I would recommend them to everyone! They were amazing, and easy to work with. On my wedding day it thunder stormed, and the ceremony had to be postponed, they continued to play over their allotted time and didn't ask for more money. This is incredibly refreshing since it seems that everyone nickle and dimes you when it come to wedding. Their music is beautiful, and they worked very well with a vocalist that sang in our ceremony! Highland Chamber Players played at our wedding Saturday, August 20, 2016. BEAUTIFUL. Exactly as I dreamed our wedding would be. the hubby wasn't really sold on having a string quartet...However, after hearing them play, he was very happy!

Ray Weaver helped me immensely. He helped me pick the music...helped me plan how long the quartet should play during each part of the wedding. VERY easy to work with and accommodating.

The musicians were absolute professionals. Beautiful artists. Their performance was truly perfection and was one beautiful part that made our dream wedding a reality.

Many thanks Highland Chamber Players! HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. We will DEFINITELY hire them again.

I could not be more thrilled with how our wedding ceremony went! Everything was beyond perfect and when it started to rain, thy were super flexible moving locations and still being able to play on last minute notice! If you're in the Louisvile area, I wouldn't book anyone but the Highland Chamber Players! Price was reasonable with travel included. Response time and communication throughout the planning process was almost immediate! Fantastic fantastic group!

After reaching out to three other Louisville string groups, Ray Weaver and the Highland Chamber players were our choice based on their responsiveness and warm demeanor via email -- and my good feelings about them were correct!

Ray was fast on email and phone, critical when planning from out of town. Most importantly, the quartet's performance was beautiful. We had a handful of guests who were orchestra enthusiasts who commented on their gorgeous arrangements. For reference my husband and I had a mix of traditional music (My Old Kentucky Home, Pachelbel Canon) as well as lots of Beatles, Beach Boys, and some contemporary songs a la Vitamin String Quartet. All genres were performed wonderfully. Ray was also very helpful when we sent over draft song lists and determining music that made the most sense based on how large or small each group was that was processing to each piece.

The Highland Chamber Players were among my favorite vendors to work with during the wedding planning process, and I can't wait to use them again for a future Louisville event.

I heard the Highland Chamber Players at a bridal show and knew right away that I wanted them to play at my son and daughter-in-law's wedding. They played before the ceremony, for the processional and recessional, and for the cocktail hour. They have an enormous repertoire (including a Lady Gaga medley!) and were a wonderful part of the festivities. I only wish I had been able to sit and enjoy them for more of the time they played! It was easy to make arrangements with them, and all business was transacted clearly and promptly. I recommend them most highly. There is nothing like live music to welcome guests to a wedding!

Oh man, Highland Chamber Players did an awesome job at our wedding! Their music was so skillfully played and with such musicality, everyone especially loved the addition of the harp. If I had it all to do over again, I would not change anything! They played some beautiful Bach selections for us and the music set the tone for the whole day of festivities! I highly, highly recommend this wonderful group!

I cannot say enough good things about Ray Weaver and his team! They are the best in Louisville for Jewish weddings! He was very professional, extremely calm and calmed my family down during the stressful wedding planning process. He gave us a ton of time during our session and played live music for us in his studio so we could decide what melodies we wanted. He knew all the Jewish music and even learned new Jewish music that we requested for us. I was very impressed when ray was going out of town for a week and let us know that he would be out of town in case we needed to contact him. The music was excellent and very elegant. They played current pop songs, oldies, and the Jewish wedding melodies. He knew all of the Jewish songs and stuck to the timing. Also, the pricing was VERY reasonable so we were able to include a harp!!! I highly recommend the harp!

Highland Chamber Players' harp quartet provided beautiful music at our daughter's wedding and for the cocktail hour afterward. She had changed her mind at the last minute about some of the music selections, and Ray Weaver was so accommodating and easy to work with on the changes. He helped us select what we considered perfect selections for the type of ceremony she wanted. We received many compliments on the wedding music, and we would most certainly recommend them to anyone looking for lovely music for any occasion.

The Highland Chamber Players were great! My husband and I live in Boston and Ray met with us over Christmas (5 months before the wedding) to plan the ceremony music since that was the only time we would both be in Louisville prior to the wedding, which we really appreciated. That day, he helped us choose the perfect ceremony music - traditional, but with a fun song at the end. In all our exchanges, Ray was quick to respond, courteous, and professional. On our wedding day, the musicians arrived on time and played beautifully. I would highly recommend the Highland Chamber Players to anyone looking for ceremony musicians.

We had a string trio from the Highland Chamber Players for my daughter's wedding ceremony. I dealt with Ray Weaver on all communications. He was quick to respond to my emails and was very helpful with suggestions for selecting pieces of music for the ceremony. Their fee was better than some other groups that I priced but most of all, I listened to samples of their music from the website and their music was breathtaking, so I immediately booked them. The three women who played at the wedding were wonderful! I enjoyed the music very much to say the least! I highly recommend the Highland Chamber Players and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

The quartet with harp music was just perfect for the Wedding Mass and the Cocktail Hour part of the Reception. The group was fabulous, and technically so skilled in their art. They accommodated all our wishes for both the Ceremony and Cocktail Hour. Their music selections were popular for all ages at the Cocktail Hour. This group is wonderful to work with and they play beautifully. We heard them playing at a wedding show and knew we had to sign them up. They played our ceremony and the cocktail hour of the reception. Ray is incredibly easy to work with, very accommodating (they altered one arrangement a bit just for me), and his group was as professional and prepared as you could ask for.

One thing I really liked was their ability to play more popular music, as well as soundtrack music, which made the whole event feel really fresh and inspired (not run-of-the-mill with the same classical pieces you always hear). We got rave reviews from our guests about their performance. We're very glad we hired them and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for beautiful personalized music for their wedding.

We used the string quartet for our wedding ceremony and everything was flawless! Ray was very helpful throughout the whole process and the music was beautiful. I highly recommend Highland Chamber Players for weddings. We had them play as guests were arriving, the ceremony, and up until our Dj was ready to go on. I enthusiastically recommend the Highland Chamber Players for any event for which you would like a live ensemble. The music provided by the string quartet with harp had a timeless elegance and sophistication that gave the finishing touch to my daughter and new son-in-law's ceremony and reception dinner. Ray Weaver and the other musician's skills were flawless - in execution, timing and arrangement.
The new bride and groom had many choices from the play list and found Ray to be very professional and accommodating in arranging the music they had chosen, even their "special song" - Naive Melody. So many of the guests remarked how much they enjoyed the music and how it added to a beautiful day.
Some day I would like to hire them just to play for my husband and me so we could enjoy the superb sound of such wonderful musicians.

Ray and the Highland Chamber Players did an oustanding job at my nephew's wedding this past weekend. They played before, during and after the ceremony. There really are no words to describe how beautiful their music truly is, and the harp was an added touch.

My young son sang in the wedding and Ray was very helpful in meeting with him prior to the wedding, to make sure they got the correct key for him to feel comfortable to sing in. Ray was very accommodating to my son's school schedule.

Their music made the ceremony even more special and meaningful. They would be a huge addition to any wedding. I definitely would recommend to anyone.

The Highland Chamber Players were amazing!! One guest described their playing as she walked into the church as "A choir of angels playing just for her!" Ray is very professional, quick to respond, and eased any worry I had about the wedding music. They have very broad range of music and it all sounds perfect! The only negative is that being the groom, I didn't get to just sit and listen to them play. I would definitely recommend them and book them again!

The Highland Chamber Players performed some of the most beautiful selections at our wedding ceremony. They are highly professional and accommodating… not to mention extremely affordable. All of our requests were met with the highest attention to detail. Our quests are still talking about how beautiful the string quartet was! We had a couple family friends sing a duet during the ceremony and the folks at Highland Chamber Players made it a top priority to schedule a rehearsal with them. We never had to organize a thing. We handed them our song selections and they made it happen. Total stress free!

The Highland String Quartet was simply fantastic at our wedding! They played during our ceremony and also during our cocktail hour, and their musical selections were both beautiful and beautifully played. We chose to use the harp in place of the viola, and that added so much to the sound! Not only did they perform spectacularly, but before the wedding they were a pleasure to communicate with. My (MANY) emails were answered quickly and clearly. I requested several songs that weren't listed on their repertoire online, and they made arrangements to play every single one! They were great! Our cello player got sick the day of the wedding but they were able to arrange for a harp player to fill in just as quickly. It all worked out and we had a beautiful ceremony.

The Highland Chamber Players did an AMAZING job playing at our wedding ceremony and reception. There are simply no words to describe how beautiful their music truly is; our wedding day was perfect. Ray was very helpful in the planning stages of our wedding and very professional at and during the ceremony and reception. He was great to work with and very dependable, and the quality was top notch; I highly recommend the Highland Chamber Players to any bride who wants her wedding to be memorable and enjoyable.

Ray Weaver and the Highland Chamber Players were absolutely perfect for our daughter's wedding. They were very easy to work with and helpful in the selection process. They were able to work well with the organist at St. James to provide the most beautiful music from the preludes to the recessional. They were even able to get us a trumpet player for a trumpet voluntary that played along with the organ that was amazing! Thank you for the beautiful music you provided for us.

Ray Weaver was so easy to work with and the musicians are so talented. The music, especially with the addition of the harp, couldn't have been more perfect and everyone was talking about how elegant it was. I'm so happy that I used them!

Elegant and Beautiful!

The Highland Chamber Players were the very first vendor we secured for our daughter's wedding. We heard them at one of the bridal shows and we were instantly confident that they would provide a classically beautiful element to both the wedding ceremony and the cocktail hour. Our wedding was on the fourth floor of The Henry Clay and the Highland Chamber Players were the perfect choice for the elegance that we were hoping for! Ray Weaver is a true professional and when he met with us he was able to suggest music and was so accommodating when we had a request that was not listed on his website. The musicians arrived ahead of schedule, were very friendly and were dressed perfectly for our formal venue! The music was beautiful! We can recommend The Highland Chamber Players without any reservations! They are true professionals with an amazing talent that will truly make your wedding day absolutely PERFECT!.

The Highland Chamber Players were absolutely incredible. Their music was beautiful and they were great to work with. They have all their music on line for you to hear, but they also will meet with you and play other options in person. They were very patient and involved when trying to pick out the perfect ceremony music. I would recommend them and their superb quality of music to everyone.

Beautiful steig quartet for our ceremony. Reasonably priced with wide range of music options. They even took the time to learn a new song just from my precessional. It was lovely. Highly recommended

The Highland Chamber Players helped make the music for my wedding ceremony very lovely. Ray Weaver was very helpful and always returned my calls and e-mails in a prompt manner. The musicians were timely, professional, and fabulous on the wedding day. I would totally recommend this group!!!

As the mother of the bride I was able to work with them to get just the arrangement we wanted for the bride's processional to Charpentier's "Te Deum." The notes were clear and they were able to adjust the tempo a little to accomodate the venue. Grooms family from overseas were late and they Players kept on going, extending pieces--and adding others--until we were finally ready to go. Having "live" music is an absolute essential for wedding ceremonies because of the need to adjust the timing. I certainly recommend the Highland Chamber Players for a wedding or other function.
