  Our DJ Read Our Minds

  DJ Jake Russel was so in-tune with our taste in music that our friends asked if we created our wedding and reception playlist ourselves. It was incredible! We received so many compliments about the music and the dance floor was filled to capacity the entire evening.
  Jake worked with us months in advance to get an idea of how we envisioned our wedding, he was so good about communicating with us throughout the planning process and worked with our schedules when it came time to meet in person. We simply filled out a planning form indicating what songs we wanted for our ceremony, first dance, & cake cutting, etc ahead of time and met with Jake in person the week of our wedding. He was able to curate an entire playlist off of a short list of artists and songs that we like. Only someone with years of experience and a true passion for music could have done what he did.
  We loved that Jake customized a package that worked for us, down to the lighting, MC involvement, and additional music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. Everything was perfect and we are so lucky we found him!

  The best DJ you can find!

  Jake was awesome! He is very professional, and was up to the task we had given him (we had specific requests - it was our big day, so he made sure and took the time to understand clearly everything we wanted or didn’t want). I highly recommend him! He was the highlight and everybody was still talking about how great he was even weeks after our wedding!

  He got everyone on the dance floor

  DJ Jake was fantastic to work with. He was so nice and really listened to what we want. During our wedding reception, everyone was on the dance floor all night. The guests loved him and the music choices. Thanks for making our wedding so fun!

  Jake was an absolute pleasure to work with. He made our big day so much easier, and I couldn't imagine going with anyone else for future events that require a DJ. He ensured that all of our guests had a blast. You would be a fool to go with anyone else!

  DJ Jake is an awesome wedding DJ. Super flexible, attentive, responsive, really listened to what we were looking for and dare I say over delivered.
  
  We met with DJ Jake the week of our wedding and he helped us outline the whole event. He definitely kept the evening on track and made sure everything I wanted to happen took place while everyone had a great time. He also did some uplighting for us that was absolutely worth it - it took the space over the top (which was the already gorgeous Presidential Suite at the Waldorf Astoria)
  
  Plus the music selection kept everyone up and dancing the entire night. I mean the whole night for our 8pm-12:30am reception. Our 80+ year old grandparents even made it to the "survivor photo" at the end of the night..

  Jake was professional, organized, he was receptive to our requests. He emceed the reception really well and kept the evening schedule flowing smoothly. The lighting outside and GoBo lighting was well worth the added expense- really provided that 'wow' factor.

  For me, responsiveness is key and Jake was always a phone call away. Jake is all about process and I love that. He knew exactly what to ask to make sure our most important date went off without a hitch. We had a detailed one on one kind of interview twice before the big date. Now our feelings on music and how we wanted to do it is one thing, but Jake felt out the crowd and gave the room exactly the vibe that it needed all through the night. The night ended with a sing along that couldn't have been better. If you are planning a wedding, give Jake a call. He goes above and beyond!

  Jake was terrific and really helped create a fun party, keeping things going strong to the end. He took a lot of time with the bride and groom in the planning and it showed. He'll play whatever you want, and his music really energized the crowd. I would say our focus was on danceable Pop rock, and it spanned generations so everyone (young and old) could relate.
  
  He was an excellent MC as well, staying organized and on top of things. He readily cooperated with me on a little gag during my father of the bride toast so that it came off well. Best was that he really kept the party going with a lot of energy, and even stayed late to please the crowd with some extra songs. The crowd danced hard to the end.
  
  He also organized some dances to get everyone involved, such as the snowball dance (everyone dancing grabs a new partner from the crowd, so that everyone ends up on the floor early in the night, which really got everyone in the spirit), and the anniversary dance, where people sit down after their years of marriage are called out, leaving the oldest couple honored with applause.
  I don't remember his rate but it was reasonable, we definitely got our money's worth, my daughter and her husband were really happy, and I tipped Jake handsomely.

  Jake took time to plan the big day perfectly, and then executed to perfection. Not only does he make sure the wedding guests are dancing (at least that's what we wanted), but he kept the ceremony, reception, cocktail hour, cake cutting, first dance (etc) on time with his excellent, professional emcee abilities. Furthermore, we used his lighting and would not have it any other way!

  Jake took time to plan the big day perfectly, and then executed to perfection. Not only does he make sure the wedding guests are dancing (at least that's what we wanted), but he kept the ceremony, reception, cocktail hour, cake cutting, first dance (etc) on time with his excellent, professional emcee abilities.   Amazing wedding dj

  I've worked with my fair share of DJ's now in the wedding industry and Jake by far made it into my top 3 favorite of all time! He communicated with the bride and groom and it was SO REFRESHING! It was amazing to work with a DJ who not only respected the wedding timeline, but also knew exactly how to get the party going! The guests did not want to stop dancing and I loved every minute of it. I highly recommend High Rise Audio!

  I've worked with my fair share of DJ's now in the wedding industry and Jake by far made it into my top 3 favorite of all time! He communicated with the bride and groom and it was SO REFRESHING! It was amazing to work with a DJ who not only respected the wedding timeline, but also knew exactly how to get the party going! The guests did not want to stop dancing and I loved every minute of it. I highly recommend High Rise Audio!

  DJ Jake was the best! So professional and accommodating of all our requests. The music was great and everyone was dancing the night away. We really appreciated his hard work. Would highly recommend anyone looking for a fun DJ.
