We adore the Hickenloopers!
Scott and Shelby are an absolute dream to work with. We first hired them for our wedding, and we were so pleased with their attention to detail and ability to capture beautiful candid moments of our family and friends. We were so happy with them after our wedding, we hired them for a fun maternity family shoot as well as some business photos. We highly recommend using the Hickenloopers for your wedding; they will make your experience so special. Not to mention they are some of the nicest people you will ever meet! -

The Hickenloopers are simply the best there is. They are so kind hearted and you can tell that their main priority is the happiness of the couple. They are creative when it comes to posing and locations, which translates into just wonderful pictures. Their editing is crisp, clean, and timeless. Whenever our photos come back, it feels like Christmas morning!
It is so important to feel comfortable during photoshoots and the Hickenloopers have a special talent for making you feel at ease. It just feels like you are hanging out with old friends :) We treasure the photos they have taken for us and would highly recommend them to anyone! -

We had such a great experience with them!! It was very important to me to have people that captured everything with an artistic eye and remembered the details. I am SO GLAD I went with the Hickenloopers for my Engagement and Bridal photo shoots! Unfortunately they weren't available on our actual wedding day and the difference between those photos vs the ones the Hickenloopers took is "night and day". The Hickenloopers make you feel comfortable, beautiful, and have fun during the shoot. Their pictures came back so flattering of my husband and I and just look gorgeous all around! I've received a lot of compliments on them. Would HIGHLY recommend! -

The first time I saw some of the Hickenlooper’s photos was from a family friend’s engagement & wedding photos. I loved those photos and just had to get in contact with whoever took them. We are so glad the Hickenloopers captured both our engagement + wedding photos. The photos are timeless and I find myself going through our albums often even after 2 1/2 years of marriage! Shelby and Scott were so kind and were able to capture the most special moments of our big day, but also captured little details that I otherwise would have forgotten about. They are professional and you can tell they love what they do. We couldn’t recommend them enough! -

We hired the Hickenloopers for our Formal shoot. I chose them because I immediately fell in love with their style; it is warm, natural, cozy and authentic. That was what I wanted! Scott and Shelby are so easy to get along with, it made the shoot a lot more comfortable for my husband and I. I love that they are a real couple because they offer different perspectives in their photography than you might get with just a single photographer. The photographer I had chosen to do day of wedding photos had suddenly bailed a couple weeks before the wedding day. Frantically, I contacted the Hickenloopers to see if they might be available and bless their hearts, Shelby was able to come and shoot for the wedding day! Shelby worked really well with our videographer, they communicated well and were both able to get the shots that they wanted without feeling bullied by the other. Also, Shelby was authoritative and organized so that we had a good flow and order to the pictures and no one was trying to be the boss other than her! It made the day run so much more smoothly! I couldn't be more happy with the photos from both shoots and I will recommend them to anyone! Thank you Scott and Shelby! -

AHHHMAZING. (massive understatement).
I spent over eight hours searching for the PERFECT wedding photographer. I kid you not.. I looked at probably a hundred photographers of all different styles. I really wanted photos that were timeless and that I wouldn't look back on and think, "Those are way too edited," or "why on earth did I choose that photographer??" Then I stumbled upon Scott and Shelby Hickenlooper! They were exactly what I wanted. I may be biased, but our engagements are the most beautiful engagements I have ever seen. They captured EXACTLY what I wanted them to.
The Hickenloopers are fun to be around, make you feel comfortable, and are so natural behind the camera. I have our engagements, bridals, and wedding photos hung up all around our house and I never get sick of looking at them. It's also nice because there are two of them.. so you get photos from a few more angles than you probably would otherwise. I honestly can't say enough good things about the Hickenloopers. If I had to do it all over again, I would without a doubt choose Scott and Shelby. I will forever recommend them to my friends. They're not necessarily cheap, but I have definitely seen way more expensive photographers that don't provide the value that Scott and Shelby do. One problem I ran into with other photographers was how particular they were about charging for their time or travel. They would charge x amount for x miles traveled, or for x amount of hours/minutes and it seemed ridiculous to me. Scott and Shelby aren't nit-picky about time/distance travelled, which I really appreciated. They drove all the way to Southern Utah from Bountiful for my engagements and only charged a tiny bit extra for gas. Their packages are straight forward, and there is no BS when it comes to these two. Again, I can't stress enough how happy I am that I went with them. Thank you Scott and Shelby! -

Shelby and Scott are awesome photographers that make an incredible team. We loved the idea of having two photographers shoot our wedding and looked for a team who worked together regularly, who's style matched the feeling we were looking to capture. From our initial emails with the Hickenloopers we felt comfortable and confident in their ability to capture such a special day. We were wowed when we received our photos back and are grateful to have such quality for such a reasonable price.
We have used Shelby and Scott for other events and shoots since then. We wouldn't hire anyone else! -

Not only are Scott and Shelby the nicest people ever, they are EXTREMELY talented! They helped us feel comfortable in front of the camera (which is a hard thing to do!) and they were so accommodating with our crazy schedule. Their style is classic and timeless - which we love so, so much! There's not one detail of our wedding day that we could "forget" because they captured everything. Our love, the people, even the little, small things that no one else would notice - we have proof of all of it because of Scott and Shelby's unreal talent and ability to photograph the meaningful parts that make up a wedding. We are so grateful for them and the memories they helped create for us. We wouldn't recommend anyone else! -

Above and beyond
Scott and Shelby are amazing, the best decision I made in wedding planning was having them be our photographers. They came to Colorado for my wedding and captured the day perfectly. We were worried we would be rained out but they got through our group pictures fast and efficiently and listened to any photo I wanted to fit in. They are so personable and made taking pictures very natural instead of awkward like I was worried about!! I look back on my pictures all the time and get constant compliments about the quality.
I highly recommend the Hickenloopers, you will be in love with the pictures and moments they capture and you will also love their personalities. In the end it really felt like they cared about us as people and made me feel like they were so happy to shoot our wedding when really I was so greatful to them! -

Scott and Shelby were very professional and personable! We got our photos back in a timely manner and loved each and every one of them. My favorite thing about the Hickenlooper’s were that they were awesome about personalizing your wedding photos. They asked specific questions of what you wanted and worked with whatever we threw at them. They captured our personal style very well. I will always love these wedding pictures and I reflect on them often, over 3 years later! -

Scott & Shelby are amazing people by themselves, and are incredibly talented photographers. I would 100% recommend them to literally everyone - no doubt about it.
I cried when I saw my pictures because of the pure, magical, joy they were able to capture. They walked us through every step, had an amazing get to know you packet (plus we met for dinner as well). I really felt like they cared about me and my fiancé, and checked with us to make sure they understood our family dynamic (which was huge, as my fiancé’s parents were recently divorced).
I think there are a million photographers to choose from, the market is definitely saturated - but the Hickenloopers are gems. If you want to witness magic, and have the most beautiful memories captured with all the emotion of your special day, don’t hesitate to connect with them ✨

I cannot say enough good things about Scott and Shelby! Our entire experience working with them was absolutely wonderful. The first time my (now) husband and I met them was at our engagement photo shoot. We were both a bit nervous as we had never taken professional photos together, but Scott made the whole process super enjoyable and any jitters we had instantly went away. On our wedding day, Scott and Shelby did exactly what we were hoping for. They gave some guidance for photos, but also managed to capture raw and real moments throughout the day. When we got out photos back, I was in awe. They were more beautiful than I ever could have imagined! Instant Friends
The Hickenloopers are simply incredible. They shot our first look and our wedding day. Our first appointment for our "first look" was rained out but Scott was willing to reschedule for two days later so my bouquet would still be good. Not only that, but Shelby ALSO came to the rescheduled appointment with no additional charge and just added to the experience. We instantly felt comfortable with them and felt like they were instant friends. Communication before, during, and after our shoots was phenomenal. They gave us good direction during our shoots but also made sure they got raw, natural and "candid" shots of us. The photos we got back were delivered in a timely manner, brilliant and were exactly what we had expected. We absolutely love Scott and Shelby and would recommend them to anyone! -

Scott and Shelby shot our engagements, bridal photos, and our entire wedding day, and they were nothing short of amazing!!! Not only is their work incredibly dreamy, but as a couple they are so fun and likeable and just a joy to be around (like I would legitimately hang out with them if we lived in the same state). They met up with me and my husband for lunch beforehand, just to get to know us as a couple and introduce themselves/talk about our vision for our wedding process. They made us feel so comfortable, which made it easy to have fun while taking photos, instead of feeling anxious. If you're even considering Scott + Shelby, just trust me and DO IT! If you know them, you love them, and I've been posting our wedding/engagement photos for three years straight because I'm still not over how gorgeous they are. -

Scott and Shelby flew from Utah to Vancouver Island for our wedding. They found their own accommodation, travel, and made plans to stay the whole weekend, while still being affordable. They were so great to work with -- they truly didn't miss a thing. My wife and I love looking back through all our photos and reliving the experience they captured so well.
