Incredible!

Hero was AMAZING! Jon told us that he would make it the best party ever and he did just that and MORE! We trusted him from day one and we are so thankful we did. He is not only talented, but a great guy! He was always easy to get in touch with and executed everything we wanted perfectly! The band as a whole ROCKED. Every singer and player is so talented. We loved how they interacted with us during our reception and had songs that catered towards everyone!! The band was the highlight of the event and we are so thankful to have had them play at our wedding!!

Absolutely incredible!

Hero sure knows how to put on a show! I received SO many compliments on how much fun they had at my wedding due to the incredible band! I can't recommend them enough. Jon was so easy to work with and sent phone calls periodically throughout the wedding process to make sure they were following everything in my vision. They were also able to make accommodations by downloading a few songs for the introductions! Thank you so much for everything!!

Epic band - epic night!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Hero! From the very beginning, Jon went out of his way to get to know my husband and I, which was very helpful because he was easily able to select the type of music we would want to hear based on our personalities without us having to give him any direction. We completely trusted him and his band on their song choices. We had several check-in's throughout the 6 months leading up to our wedding where we discussed timeline, songs, etc. We had complete trust in Hero to deliver! On our wedding day, they showed up early to set-up and sound check and were very easy to work with. At the reception, they had everyone on their feet the entire time - from 5 year olds to 80 year olds. Everyone kept coming up to us telling us how awesome the band was (which we already knew) and it has been 3 weeks since our wedding and we are STILL getting calls, texts, emails about how much fun everyone had with the band. Their energy is ridiculously infectious and they played a wide array of music which helped keep everyone's interest. If we had to do it all over again, we would 100% work with Hero again! Jon has become our friend and we plan to keep in touch with him!

Hero just performed this past weekend for my sons wedding in Washington DC. They engaged the crowd from the very first song of the night. It was the first time at a wedding where the crowd shouted for a encore. They truly know how to keep a party going. Just the best band.

Hero Band! Not only are they an amazing group of talented singers/performers, but they have a great sense of humor too. Once they get the party started, it never stops. If you're lucky enough to book them, you won't be disappointed!

We had contacted Jon since his services were recommended to us. He provided us with a fantastic DJ, DJ Debbie who was fantastic. She sat down us, went over what we wanted to hear/didn't want to hear, and coordinated everything with our wedding coordinator. the day of the event she played a fantastic set of music which included some of our choices as well as some she picked. Dance floor was packed all night. What was really great is even when some requests were made by guests that were on the "no fly list" she let us know during the reception and stuck to her guns. Music and food were the most important parts of our wedding and they both lived up to the hype.

One of the best days of my life was being a guest at this wedding and dancing to the fabulous music delivered by this group - Hero. Not only were they the most entertaining band at any wedding I've attended but they got everyone out of their seats and dancing. The vocals sounded even better than Taylor Swift or Macklemore and certainly more engaging then any concert I've attended. The best part was that the lead singer came onto the dance floor and encouraged me to sing. I've already booked them for my own wedding in June and can't wait!

Hero was a big part of a GREAT wedding! The dance floor was packed from beginning to end. Everyone commented on how good the band was. The song selection was excellent, with a lot of contemporary, upbeat music. We enjoyed how the members of the band mingled with the crowd, helping to encourage participation. We appreciated that the band gave the floor to the various speeches and various antics that occurred throughout the night. The wedding was a big hit all around, and Hero's role was a huge part of it.

We booked Hero for our wedding at the Antrim 1844 in Taneytown, MD. They came highly recommended, and the delivered! Not only was Jon very responsive to us (met with us twice, returned phone calls and emails in a timely fashion, etc), but they made the wedding SO fun! Their song choices were excellent, and they even let my brother, who is an experienced drummer, play with the band! Everyone commented to me later that the band was fantastic. It was also mentioned to me that rarely do you see people on the dance floor all night, but at my wedding everyone danced all night. By the time 11 o'clock came around I was shocked because I was having so much fun dancing (and i hate dancing!) that time flew. They were so great, and so interactive, and so fun! The wedding would not have been such a success without them!

Hero played for my wedding and they were phenomenal! The majority of compliments I received on my wedding were about Hero, everyone LOVED them. Jon is an utmost professional. He is super professional and responsive throughout the booking and planning process. And then the night of the wedding the band rocked it! Thank you Jon Goska, and the other members of Hero!

Hero Entertainment, and more specifically, DJ Ian, was suggested to me by our wedding coordinator at the Hunt Valley Golf Club. She said that DJ Ian had done many events for them and that he was great.

My husband and I could not have been happier with DJ Ian. We provided Ian with a list of music that we wanted and songs we did not want. Ian made sure to play the type of music we wanted, but also played to the crowd. You can tell he loves what he does! Numerous people came up to me and told me what a great DJ we had and that they loved the music. It was a great party.

The best compliment came from my Mom who wanted us to have a band. She told me afterwards that she LOVED DJ Ian.

You will not be disappointed!

We recently used DJ Ian from Hero Entertainment for our wedding reception and we are so very happy that we did! Ian was a great DJ and all of our guests commented about how great the music was! You will not be sorry if Ian DJ's your next event. Our guests danced the entire night!!!!

They were so accomodating in the planning of the wedding, responsive to all of our detailed requests. At the wedding, they exceeded our expectations, were so energetic, really got the party started and kept it going the ENTIRE evening. My guests were all so impressed by the sound quality, the songs, the transition from dancing, eating, toasts, etc. There WAS NOT a dull moment. Everything was EXACTLY as Jon (Goska) had promised, and I felt it was a PERFECT day!! I could not have asked for anything more, and if I have another event requiring a band, then I will definintely call on HERO entertainment.

The band was amazing. EVERYONE at our wedding at the Four Seasons said it was the best band they have ever heard. No one sat down the whole reception they just danced and danced and danced. Even people who had had their own weddings could not say enough about the band. The band members are all so personable and engaging and their voices are indescribably perfect. We were so lucky to have them at my daughters wedding. The one thing she wanted, besides a perfect husband, was an outstanding band and she sure got that. Jon is so easy to work with and has super ideas!! Can never thank them enough. I hope our guests remember other things about the wedding too.

Hero is such a blast. I've worked with them several times in the past and John is always willing to go above and beyond to make sure that the client is getting everything they ask for. I worked as a wedding planner and would always recommend Hero to my brides. They were always blown away with the band and DJs. I've never had a negative review of their services!

We used Hero entertainment's band Paradise and they were fabulous. The dance floor was packed all night. Before the event the band leader worked so hard to accomidate ALL of our many song requests and traditional greek and jewish music. They even learned our first song for us. It was a fabulous evening. I highly recommend!

Hero made my wedding so much fun! They are truly a very talented group of people. They really know what songs to sing to get a crowd up and moving! They even learned two specific Elvis songs to be played for my dad at the wedding. They were absolutely fabulous and had everyone up and singing and wanting more. People are still talking about what a great band I had at my wedding. I would highly recommend Hero! They were PHENOMENAL!!!!!

Jon, of Hero Entertainment was excellent! We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary at the MGCC in Bel Air Maryland and wanted a combo that could play traditional Big Band dance music as well as soft dinner music and some 50's rock and roll. The combo that Jon sent us was perfect! They played all our requests to perfection. Music can make or break a party and Hero Entertainment made ours. Thanks Jon for sending us just the right musicians for our celebration.

When I fist pictured my wedding I thought I only wanted a DJ, my mother, however was dead set on having a band. I made a deal with her, if she found a band that I approved of we could have both a band and a DJ. After looking at a few bands that I was not at all interested in we went to see Hero perform. Hero knew the music that they did well and were so willing to listen to what I wanted. I am not a fan of bands covering todays pop/rap songs, I just don't think it sounds as good. When I expressed those feelings to Jon he completely understood what I was talking about and assured me if thats what I wanted he would take care of it. Other bands got offended when I told them that I wanted a DJ in addition to the band but Jon offered us one of his DJ's. Both the Band and the DJ were perfect. The Dance floor was constantly packed with people and the mix of music was just how I imagined it. Jon and his team made everything so easy and I could not have asked for anything more!

All Ican say is amazing absolutely profession and great fun. We booked them after seeing many other bands and my daughter was against having a band but we wanted one. John was so flexible with providing us with DJ as well as his amazing band. Everyone at our event wanted to know who the band was as they had everyone up on the dance floor. Two days prior to our event I decided that i wanted to go an extra hour and he was open to helping me with this as well. I am in the catering business and I would not hesitate to recommend Hero in any capacity. They were perfect. I want to have another event just so we can use them again. Thanks for making our daughters wedding as great as it was.

I can't say enough about Hero. I have to say they really topped off our wedding and made it that much better. From day one with talking to Jon, he had us so excited and ready to party. The band covered so many different genres of music and kept the night going and guests out of their seats. All the guests were on the dance floor the whole night and are still raving about Hero. I couldn't be happier with our choice to have a band and then for our choice in Hero. I highly recommend them for weddings and any other event where you want to dance and party all night long!

We had HERO play at our wedding this past Saturday at The Four Seasons and they rocked!!! They really know how to work the crowd! Everyone danced the entire time, just like we wanted! We could have kept it going for another 4 hrs!! : ) They were awesome!!

Hero Entertainment is simply the best wedding band out there. Each member of the band brings their own energy and talent and the combination of all of them is out of this world. The dance floor was full the entire event and Jon and his singers kept the crowd engaged and laughing throughout the evening. We could not have asked for more!

Attended a wedding where the band Hero performed. There was never a time when the dance floor wasn't full. The band totally engaged the audience throughout the entire evening. They were all very professional and you can tell they really enjoy what they do. They are fabulous entertainers. Really made for a wonderful event. We had many of our guests ask for their contact information.

Hero played at our recent wedding and we were thrilled with their performance! They were very lively and kept our guests dancing the entire night. We loved that they were also interactive with the party and came right out on the dance floor. Hero has a knack for feeling-out the crowd and playing the right songs at the right time. Not to mention their voices and instrumentals are phenomenal!

Jon and all of the band members were really attentive to our music preferences and how we wanted the night to flow. They also offered helpful suggestions to keep everything running smoothly. Many of our guests (from all generations) commented on how great they were. Hero really made our wedding day special and memorable and I would recommend them to anyone! What a quality band!

Hero did a great job at our wedding. They were professional and knew how to work the crowd. The "business guy" and also one of the musicians is Jon, who is very good at what he does. He is confident in his bands abilities and rightfully so. Each musician is professional and excellent at their craft. Entertainment is a central element of any celebration and we, and our guests, were quite impressed. This band works very hard at what they do and it shows. They were responsive and sensitive to our needs through the whole process. My only regret was that the night had to end. I could party with this band all night. My advice to anyone having an event would be to hire this band (and invite us, as we would love to see them again).

Hero Band was awesome. My wedding was anything but boring. People were dancing from the beginning to the end. They really turned it into a party! I had so much fun with them! I recommend Hero to anyone that wants to have a great time at their wedding!

The band Hero from Hero Entertainment kept our crowd on the dance floor all night....they rocked the house, made the party and they have incredible lead singers. Hope can belt out a tune like no other...the second female lead was fantastic and I am sorry that I cannot recall her name because she rocked AC/DC...
I had kids from 8 to 80 there and they are still talking about this band....

Exceptional music abilities in all the band members. Totally out of the world. Everyone enjoyed, danced to, sang with them. Alot of fun and very talented musicians and singers.

Jon Goska and his band makes the party. If you want a successful event you need to reach out to Jon and let him work with you to makes your special occasion memorable. The response from our guests was " the best party I ever attended" " it was nice to have diner music to be able to have some conversation" " Jon had e everybody dancing all night long - how often does that happen?There is nothing like a real band with excellent vocalists to make your event special. We are very pleased and will ask Jon to make our next event special. You are not just getting a band - you are getting a top flight touring band that can exceeds all.

My parents and I had been to many events over the years where Hero performed so when it came time to pick the entertainment for our wedding at the Peabody Library it was a no brainer. We met with Jon at his office so the fiance could see some of their reels, which don't even do them justice, and he was sold! Our search ended there.

Hero KILLED it!!! Literally DESTROYED!! Our guests, no matter if they were 20 or 80, love to dance so this was a very important element for us. Hero kept the dance floor packed! From the moment the doors to the reception opened, it was clear this was going to be a PARTY. Guests were dancing into the space and just bypassed their seats and went to the dance floor; they had to be lured back to their tables for the introductions. I was hesitant to start the evening with dancing and wanted to just jump to the meal and speeches, but Jon suggested we start the part off on a high with a small dance set. I deferred to his expertise and boy was he right. Kicking off the set, dancing to EWF's September, which was such an apropos selection, will go down as one of my favorite moments of the night!! The energy was high from start to finish; friends called the next day and said they were still drip drying their tuxes!

We also contracted Celtic Cross through Hero for our ceremony and they were amazing as well! We got so many compliments on them. I loved the juxtaposition of our modern selections done classically and they executed them brilliantly!!!

If you're looking for a high energy, fun band for your event, this is the one. They played at my daughters wedding Memorial weekend. We had guests from early 20's to early 70's and John provided something for everyone! They are very versatile and accomodating and come to you highly recommended.

The Band Hero played at my daughter's wedding on 8/23/14. Jon Goska is the leader and
Owner of his company Hero Entertainment. We contacted him in January to reserve the date
and he was very responsive in answering all of my questions. If you have an opportunity to
See this band play, I suggest you do it. The band is very talented and interactive with guests.
They will get the party started from the very beginning and keep it going all night long. They
play a variety of music across the board and are able to please all age groups from Frank Sinatra
to AC DC, Bruno Mars and current music. He will learn new songs if requested and will perform
them perfectly. All of our guests raved about the band and they really helped to make our
daughter's wedding a memorable event for everyone. I would definitely hire them again and just
May as we have 2 more daughters. I also hired a keyboard player for the cocktail hour from Jon's company and even though I didn't get a chance to hear him play, I heard he was good. Overall,
Jon is a person who really likes to please his clients and is cordial and will always get right back
to you when emailed or called. He is very passionate about his work and will always take
Time to reassure you when needed.

We were pointed to Hero through our photographer at Bradley Images, and I have to say it was a good tip! We met with Jon and DJ Ian and went over some basics and decided what we wanted all in one trip. I did find that I ended up playing phone tag a few times, but other than that getting ahold of people wasn't bad. Jon did everything he could to make sure we had want we wanted and that we were satisfied.

DJ Ian did the music for both our ceremony and reception. He was fantastic about meeting with us beforehand to go over music and dealt with me changing some music a few times. He was great the day of about letting us know the order of events and how things would be announced. He did a fantastic job at working the crowd and playing music that everybody enjoyed.

We booked Paradise (plus horns) through Hero Entertainment 18 months before the wedding. Paradise was great... they kept the dance floor packed the entire night long and our guests have commented on how wonderful the band was. The beginning and end of the evening were wonderful! Paradise learned all of the songs we requested. We were afraid that the first dance song was going to sound different from how it's meant to be, but Ronn did a wonderful job with it. My only complaint is that we had given them a "play" list, and during the middle of the wedding they started to play songs we had not given them, and we had specifically requested New York, New York, (a tradition in our family) which they missed for some reason. Overall, hiring Paradise was a good decision. We would use them again, but we would just be more clear about our play list.

They are an amazing band, the best out there. I have a very picky and critical group of family and friends and they can't stop talking about how great the band was. They deifnitely kept people on the dance floor and were true entertainers.

Booking Jon and his band was the BEST decision my wife and I made. I first heard of Jon through a co-worker who was going to book a DJ from hero and when we went to meet Jon, he suggested we consider the Hero band. We weren't sure we would be able to afford a band but Jon worked with us with a price point that we were able to manage.

We got married in July of 2015 at our wedding at Historic London Town and it was Jon and the band's first time at the venue. It's currently February of 2016 and TO THIS DAY, our friends and our family wouldn't stop talking about how much fun they had at our wedding-- mostly because of how much fun they had dancing to Hero Entertainment.

Jon went out of the way to learn "Uptown Funk" for us as well as "Baby Love" to which my mother and I danced to. The band played all the way through the entire cocktail hour and reception and made sure everyone was up and dancing. Even MORE amazing was my little 7 year old cousin flew all the way from Las Vegas to surprise my bride and I and he asked Jon if he could dedicate a song from my bride and I. My little cousin sang, "L.O.V.E" which he and Jon JAMMED to! To see my little cousin and Jon rock out on the stage made our wedding THAT much more special.

Jon-- you and the band are something special. I hope all the couples in and around Baltimore and DC call you for their special day! Thanks for making the best day of our life that much more fun for everyone present.

Great band!

Hero Entertainment puts on an amazing show! My wife and I couldn’t be happier with our selection to use Hero Entertainment as our wedding band.

They do go outside the norm to get the audience involved, so if you are looking for a more ‘typical’ style, this may not be a good fit. However, Jon is easy to work with, his band is amazing, and he really delivered on our wedding night. His pianist played our ceremony and was also amazing. I would reccommend Hero to anyone looking to get the crowd up at their wedding!

Jon Goska and Hero Entertainment did a wonderful job providing us with a band for our wedding. He was recommended to us through a friend and we are happy to recommend them to others. Communication was a little slow as Goska is really busy, but the finished product was well worth it! Goska even linked us to a band that he knew was right for us even though it was not his agency's band and then he followed through with the arrangement just as if it was one of his. We could not have been happier with our choice to use this vendor!

Overall, working with Hero Entertainment and Paradise was a great experience. They were very responsive and accommodating and have some of the best local bands at the best rates in the area. Paradise was extremely responsive and terrific to work with. My only complaint is that Hero Entertainment tried to sell us on other bands and options were were not interested in multiple times. It did not feel very professional that they could not take "no" for an answer. I would work with them again if I was having another event because they have quality acts for affordable pricing, but I would be much more firm up front about my needs.

The DJ we hired through Hero Entertainment (DJ Saxman) was excellent on the day of our wedding reception, and we received a lot of compliments.

However, while we were very pleased with the final product, we were less than thrilled with the process. Rather than get to meet with our specific DJ ahead of time, all of the planning was supposed to be done with the head of the company. We found this very odd. Also, a mini war broke out between Hero Entertainment and my venue as to how the evening would unfold. This was not stress that I needed as a bride!!

DJ Saxman really is a terrific DJ, and everything did work out in the end. I just think there has got to be a better way to organize the operation!

We were displeased with the company that handled our DJ services. The owner of the company is very unprofessional. He would call every day up until the day I booked their services and then after that I could not get ahold of him easily. He promised in person meetings starting the month after I booked the service all the way up until the wedding and we met only once before the wedding. There was a misunderstanding with the contract and the owner did not take responsibility and kept insisting that it was not his fault. He even called to argue this point one night after 10:30pm. We reached out to our DJ that we hired several times to make changes after the in person meeting and on the week of the wedding he was still unaware of the changes after 3 e-mails and several calls/texts. At the wedding however, the DJ, Ian, was great and interacted with the crowd and played great music to get people dancing. The owner showed up to set up with the DJ and was very insistent that he did not want to hurt his reputation and he was sorry about the misunderstanding. The wedding day turned out great, but the dealings leading up to the event were very disappointing with this company.

The band we hired through Hero (Paradise) was great. They sounded wonderful and everyone had a fun time dancing and listening to them. However, Hero Entertainment was a nightmare to deal with. Jon talked the talk but not walk the walk. Once I signed a contract, he did not respond to emails and I had to leave multiple phone messages to get a response. Upon his request, my husband and I traveled over an hour to meet with him to work out the 'flow' of our evening. Two weeks before our event, Paradise called us asking for the same information (ex: times, songs to learn, our no-play list) because they said they could not get through to Jon. A week before our event, the band was finally given the info from Jon; consequently, they had one week to learn all our songs. During the event, the band played songs from our no-play list and seemed confused about the 'flow' of the whole evening. I would not work with Hero ever again; which is unfortunate, because Paradise was so good.

Gosh what an experience we had with Hero Entertainment. We were NOT pleased!!! From our original DJ suddently not being available to the VERY crappy response time. Not to mention the MC Hero Entertainment provided us with emailed us THE NIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING to ask about all the details we had already provided him with such as names of the bridal party!! THE NIGHT BEFORE?? REALLY?? Luckily my husband handled it without me knowing but how unprofessional! Then dealing with Jon was a nightmare, he talks WAY too much and talking his company up and kept calling my wedding "show"... umm my wedding isn't a show... it's not just some "gig" you go to. As I said, my original DJ suddenly wasn't available, so he did provide us with a new guy, however, about 2 weeks before the wedding he called and left me a voicemail saying that my DJ wasn't available and not to worry he will set us up with someone else. This worried me A LOT considering we had already sorted out a new DJ and he was acting like we hadn't talked yet about it. I would NOT recommend this company's services. They were unprofessional, unresponsive, and disorganized.

We used Hero Entertainment to book our band, Marquise. While Marquise was amazing, we were fed up with the president of Hero - John Goska. He was extremely pushy and had difficulty getting firm answers from him. He tried to push his own band, Hero, over all the other bands from the start.

He was unprofessional throughout the process. He bashed other companies and bands. He continually cut me off during our phone conversations. He would also call six times in a row, every ten minutes and not leave a message. He was also unwilling to change small portions of the contract in the beginning and made comments such as "I'd rather just walk away because I won't make a large enough commission from this."

If you find a band you like I would strongly recommend trying to book them through Entertainment Exchange or another company.
