It was a pleasure working with Ben. He made the whole process so easy and enjoyable. He was very professional and responsive from the first time we contacted him. We then were able to set up an introductory virtual meeting. He went over his process and tried to get a feel for what our wedding day would look like, and asked us what were some of the key moments that were important to us. On the wedding day, his recommendations and ability to direct us during the photo sessions was seamless. He is truly talented and has an eye for creative and graceful poses, with picturesque backgrounds. We are so happy and fortunate that we selected Ben to be our wedding photographer. He was very friendly and made us and our guests feel comfortable. We would highly recommend him as a photographer for any wedding or special occasion. -

Best Photographer Ever!
We truly cannot say enough amazing things about Ben and the experience we had working with Ben. From the very beginning, he was warm, professional, and incredibly organized — everything you want with a photographer.
On the big day, he brought such a calming presence. He blended in so seamlessly, capturing every special moment without ever feeling intrusive. Our family and friends all commented on how kind and easygoing he was, which made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera — even those who normally hate having their photo taken!
And the photos… wow. Absolutely stunning. He has an eye for capturing light beautifully. I am shy in front of the camera, but he has a posing structure that makes the whole process seamless, efficient, and fun! Looking through our gallery felt like reliving the day all over again. We laughed, we cried, and we are so incredibly grateful to have these memories so perfectly captured.

Ben was amazing!!! He was so kind and sweet the entire day. His photos for our wedding were beautifully shot. Ben was really quick with getting the sneak peak over to us a few hours after our wedding. He was so helpful and truly fit into our family. I can’t recommended Ben enough for your next event. I can see us working with Ben in the future for family photos and hopefully a maternity shoot in the next couple of years. You will not be disappointed working with Ben!! -

Amazing photographer!!
We had the absolute best experience with Ben as our engagement session photographer at Filoli! From the very beginning, he was warm, friendly, and made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera. Neither of us is used to being professionally photographed, but Ben gave such clear and helpful direction throughout the shoot--it made everything feel natural and fun.
The photos turned out amazing. Seriously, we were blown away by how beautifully he captured the moments. The lighting, the angles, the emotions--everything felt so genuine and us. On top of that, he got the final edited photos back to us incredibly quickly, which we really appreciated.
We're so happy we chose Ben for this special milestone, we'll definitely be contacting him in the future for more lifestyle photoshoots. If you're looking for someone talented, kind, and professional, we highly recommend him! Thank you, Ben! -

Ben Hellstrom is a wonderful photographer, and we are really happy with the photos we received. As a part of the service, Ben met us for an engagement shoot, which was a great opportunity to get some couple shots, and get to know Ben. On wedding day, he worked the entire afternoon managing to capture so much of our day. He was professional, supportive, and honestly just fun to work with. Ben was quick to get us the sneak peek photos and had the full set ready within a month. The photos are well organized into the various parts of the day, and turned out so well. We feel really lucky to have found Ben. We highly recommend booking Ben Hellstrom for your engagement and wedding photos. -

Ben was great!
Ben arrived on time or even early to scout out good potential shots. We hired him for our engagement photo shoot and wedding and he made us feel relaxed and comfortable when we were posing. Would highly recommend! -

On our wedding day, Ben's ability to blend seamlessly into the background while capturing the most precious moments was truly impressive. They made us and our guests feel comfortable, resulting in the most natural and genuine shots. For our wedding portraits, his posing direction and enjoyable personality made us feel confident in our ability to take beautiful photos.

I feel incredibly grateful to have found Ben! He is an awesome human and wonderful photographer. My fiancé and I went into our engagement photo session with Ben, having had no experience getting professional photos taken of us before. To add to that, it was unexpectedly rainy and we were initially a bit bummed out about the weather. As soon as we met Ben though, the mood completely changed thanks to his positivity and enthusiastic spirit.
We had requested our shoot to be at Filoli and Ben took the extra step of arriving early to check it out so he knew exactly where we should take our photos, making the shooting time as efficient as possible. At the beginning of the shoot, he assured us we'd get some awesome shots despite the rain and he helped us get comfortable in front of the camera right away by bringing us to a less crowded area, walking us through the basic poses and providing lots of encouraging feedback.
We walked through the whole garden and took photos in different locations. Ben directed us at each step but was also open to any input we wanted to provide. We also got to chat a bit and could tell Ben is just a great guy with a really cool photography background! Once the shoot ended, Ben let us know we would receive a "sneak peak" that evening, which we did...and less than a week later we received the full, edited gallery. We are in love with the photos and had the absolute best experience. Thank you, Ben! -
