Most amazing officiant!!
Oh my goodness... Helen is the MOST amazing officiant, and we are so grateful to have hired her. She is detailed oriented and prides herself in officiating the exact kind of wedding service you want. She absolutely delivered on every level for our wedding! There wasn't a dry eye among all of our friends and family. The wording of the ceremony surely tugged at everyone's hearts, and I owe all of that to Helen...
Leading up the wedding, she wrote drafts for us to proof and again, we are so grateful! We added different elements to our wedding (a unique glass ceremony), and she was completely on board and went above and beyond to find the exact wording for our ceremony.
Having Helen as our officiant truly made our wedding exactly how we wanted it to be.. she's a caring, loving and professional officiant, and we will never forget our ceremony. Thank you Helen! -

A fantastic officiant!
Helen officiated our wedding in June of 2023 and she did an amazing job! She worked closely with us in the preceding months to come up with a great ceremony that closely matches our belief system and always had a great understanding of what we wanted in our ceremony. My wife and I highly recommend her! -

Wonderful Officiant
I just got married on 9/16/23 and Helen Emberly was our officiant. We found Helen through our venue's wedding fair. We got married at Fairview Events Sonoma County at Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park, CA. When we met Helen at the wedding fair we immediately had a good connection with her. She is so warm and friendly and completely puts you at ease. Her years of experience and her professionalism showed in her planning process with us, as well as her execution of the ceremony at our wedding. Helen was a pleasure to work with and I'm sure she will continue to be a wonderful officiant for all couples who choose her to officiate their wedding. I highly recommend Helen as a wedding officiant, as she can tailor her ceremony to fit your needs. My husband and I are not religious and we knew that we wanted a sentimental ceremony with someone experienced who could convey the message of love and commitment. Helen was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend Helen for all couples who wish to get married. -

Vow Renewal Perfection!
Helen was a gem! We planned a trip from the east coast to California for the first time for our 20th wedding anniversary. I reached out to many possible officiants, even ministers, who were charging $400 - $600 or more! We only wanted a short, 20 minute vow renewal ceremony and had no special requests. Helen was the only one who would accommodate our unique needs. Not knowing the area, she helped pick a location. She sent over a written ceremony that she altered for our renewal and it was perfect! We really got so blessed to find her and have her be available just a few weeks before our trip. She is professional, friendly, down to earth, and just such a sweet person! Thank you, Helen, you made our intimate ceremony more special than we ever imagined it could be! -

Lovely Experience!
Helen was the best! My husband and I had no idea where to start with our ceremony but Helen made it all come together so easily. She communicates very thoroughly about what to expect for the day, and is incredibly kind, patient, and understanding throughout the process. All of the guests loved the ceremony that she put together for us. Cannot recommend enough! Thanks so much for making our day special! -

If you’re looking for the best officiant, we found her.
Helen picked up our wedding, five weeks before our wedding day. We were in a panic and she jumped in with both feet. She created the most beautiful ceremony, and her words moved not only us, but everyone in attendance. She had lots of options to choose from and piece together to really help make the story our own. She was on point with her correspondence leading up to our wedding and helped us through every step. Bottom line, she was the absolute best choice, who took every detail seriously. Was professional, and adapted to the many personalities in attendance. It is a rarity to find someone who is so clearly invested in and love their work and with Helen, that was clear from day one. Everyone absolutely loved her. Sweet, caring, thorough and professional. If you’re looking for it all in one place, Helen is your gal. -

Kind, helpful, & knowledgeable
Helen was very good at quick with responsiveness, she was helpful with a lot of experience and information, very kind and I felt like our ceremony was in good hands! We ended up having a close friend come forward and want to be our officiant, so Helen didn’t actually perform our ceremony, but it was absolutely nothing against her! So helpful!
I can’t speak to actually having Helen officiate - but I’m sure she does an incredible job! - but I still felt compelled to leave a review because Helen was so incredibly kind and helpful to me. I reached out to her looking for an officiant on a date she was unfortunately not available. She gave me some information on other options including offering to provide guidance to them if I chose to have a friend get ordained to officiate my wedding. I was obviously not well versed in the process and her kindness and willingness to help despite not conducting the ceremony herself spoke volumes of her character and customer service. -

A great experience is warranted

Helen did a beautiful wedding, able to take aspects from what my wife and I wanted and was able to blend it well. she is still the best!
We picked Helen because her site was professional, she's dealt with same sex marriages and she really gave of the wisdom in handling these precious moments, wow weren't we just blown away. She looked at the space helped blend my ideas together and really handled the unique entrance and ceremony quite the incredible tear Jerking moments in our wedding. And if I had to do it again, she would be the friend to call. She was above and beyond down to the wedding cows cue cards because lord knows my mind was all over the place and couldn't have been more of a breeze for my wedding. Book her, NOW!!! Haha -

The sweetest most thoughtful wedding officiant
Helen was a superstar. She's caring, thoughtful, sweet, and actually love her job. You can tell she loves to officiant weddings and she did a spectacular job at ours. Informal elopement at Spring Lake
We chose Helen as our officiant for our informal; elopement at Spring Lake. She performed the ceremony so eloquently that it touched my heart and gave me happy tears.
Helen was so easy to work with. She stayed on top of all the small details; was always fast at replying to my e-mails and change requests. She provided us with several sample vow ceremony choices. She was always helpful and patient during the planning process.
She even hand-carried our license to the recorder’s office instead of mailing. She takes her role as a wedding officiant very seriously and is eager to please and make everyone happy!
We definitely recommend her to anyone who appreciates personal attention and someone who is easy to work with: is kind and respectful.
She made our informal wedding an awesome day to remember!

Great wedding ceremony support!
We hired Helen as a back-up emergency officiant, in case our friend was too nervous to conduct our ceremony. Our friend successfully married us, so we didn't get to work with Helen on the day-of our big day, however, for months leading up, she was an excellent resource: she reviewed the ceremony script we wrote and gave helpful feedback, suggestions and experience she's had at our venue. Her knowledge was priceless, and she checked in with us regularly to see if and how she could help, with anything! She truly went above and beyond and provided so much comfort knowing she was just a call or text away if we needed her to show up. You can tell she loves officiating and helping make ceremonies as special as possible because of the care she exudes. Thank you, Helen, for being part of our day in all the ways you were! -

Caring and Professional - An overall joy to work with
Helen was an absolute joy to work with for our wedding. We were very nervous and didn't really have an idea about how different types of ceremonies could be held, but Helen was very patient and generous with explaining common types of ceremonies and asking us questions so she could get to know us and make personalized recommendations. An officiant who is dedicated to the details
Helen officiated our wedding on December 1st, 2018. She was truly helpful in helping us craft a ceremony that was right for us: simple, egalitarian, and including wine! Helen is so responsive and doesn't do "cookie cutter" ceremonies. What was important to her was what was important to us. She stuck with us through the stress of the wedding, even offering a sympathetic ear unrelated to to the ceremony. She submitted our paperwork without prompting and faster than expected. I am very happy to have found an officiant who truly does it because she loves love. Thank you, Helen, for helping us have a fantastic introduction to our marriage. -

No need to fear when Helen is near!
We definitely recommend having Helen officiant your wedding! We do not know where to begin to explain with how happy we are to have worked with her. We absolutely loved the ceremony samples she provided and were able to develop a perfect script just for us. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our destination elopement last minute. Although, we would no longer be requiring her services Helen continued to be gracious and kind. She provided us with ideas (having a friend get ordained for free) and even suggested we use the same script to make the process less stressful and pleasant for us. Even though we have never met I feel Helen is a dear friend and we plan to have our vow renewal done by her in the future. Thank you again Helen!! -

Helen was one of the best parts of our wedding. She made the process SO easy and really catered the ceremony to our personal preferences. Helen was our officiant for our wedding in August. She was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Helen was very responsive, easy to reach via email, and always offered great advice whenever we asked for her opinion. When we reached out to a few officiants when first looking, Helen stood out as she was really friendly and approachable, and her pricing was very reasonable. She provided a lot of example vows and ceremonies, and we were able to pick and choose which parts we like, and incorporated personalized vows / sections as well. Helen was very flexible and offered great tips. We highly recommend her!! -

My husband and I highly recommend Helen to officiate your wedding. She is sweet, professional and efficient with putting a custom ceremony together. She will give you lots of options of how you can have your ceremony and also offer great ideas for any personal rituals you would like to add. She helped guide us with her many ideas and sample ceremonies. Especially since we were having a hard time figuring out what we wanted to say! It was great! She helped take the pressure off of us and eased our minds. We felt very comfortable having her officiate our wedding and we’re so happy she was available. Thank you, Helen! -

From the first meeting with Helen she made us feel at ease. Helen handled all with great professionalism and assisted us with choosing our vows. She was with us during rehearsal and made sure we were comfortable with how the ceremony would be presented. On our wedding day everything went smoothly and was delivered sincerely and wonderfully by Helen. We were so happy. We definitely would recommend her to anyone requiring an officiant. Helen was everything we could have wanted and more in an officiant. She worked with us from the very beginning to create a ceremony that would reflect what we wanted and be special to us and our families. She absolutely exceeded our expectations, with her timely responsiveness and her drive to provide us with the best ceremony possible. She even met with us in person, before the wedding, which I felt was very personal and valuable in our planning.

Helen was very pleasant and easy to work with. We met her at the wedding expo at Foxtail and were really impressed by her record and a professional but very friendly approach, and that’s when we secured her services. She came to our rehearsal the day before the event and walked us through all the steps. And prior to that, we were provided with several great speech samples and special ceremony suggestions (sand, wine, or other of your own choosing) to make our wedding memorable and reflective of our personal style as well as entertaining for our guests. -

Helen Emberly was recommended by our wedding venue and we couldn't have been more happier with her! I have to admit, we didn't understand at first how helpful and special the officiant could make our day. She called us and after talking with us gave us some ideas and suggestions that literally had me in tears! She provided templates of different ceremonies and vows which we picked our favorite sections from. She also suggested different activities and I am so glad we chose them. Overall, I would highly recommend Helen to anybody for their wedding. -

My wife and I decided to elope last spring, and the decision left us with just a few days to find an officiant for our trip to wine country with some friends. Helen was very accommodating and met us at our VRBO early in the morning on a weekday. Helen is a sweetheart and we are so glad that we picked her for our officiant! We had a quick Skype call with her and she gave us a quick run down of her process. We felt really comfortable with her and decided to just go for it, since we weren't particularly attached to a style of the wedding. We just knew we wanted it to be quick and straightforward.
She drafted several options for us for the ceremony and we picked out the simplest one. We added a few sentences about our dads and she made the rest so easy! Any time we needed to ask her a question, she was easily available via phone and email too!
The most amazing part though is her delivery. The ceremony itself was so beautiful and several people came up to us afterwards to tell us how beautiful it was and how it nearly made them cry!
I think Helen is a great officiant and I think if you're unsure of who to go with for an officiant, she is a marvelous choice! -

We had originally planned to get married at the courthouse and after learning about the ceremony they offered and the location I was horrified. Helen was able to marry us on a pair of a beutiful local lake and She helped us prepare beautiful vows and we couldn't have asked for a better ceremony. We absolutely loved Helen! I am so glad that I found her on Wedding Wire, and I can't imagine having worked with any other officiant. Helen was very open and charming during our initial phone consult. She was very straightforward about her services, her pricing, and how much leeway we would have in planning the ceremony. She provided us with several ceremony options to review for ideas, and we were able to pick and choose the parts we liked best and have them combined into a lovely ceremony that was tailored just for us. I think our wedding ceremony turned out absolutely perfectly! Helen did such a nice job officiating - people laughed when they were supposed to, and cried when they were supposed to, too! Helen has such a lovely genuine and sincere way of talking that made everyone feel so comfortable.
My husband and I both appreciated having such an easy time crafting the ceremony with Helen. Her sample ceremonies were so beautiful and gave us just enough structure to make the ceremony our own. My wife Stephanie and I chose Helen as the officiant for our wedding last week and couldn't be happier with her officiating. She exceeded our expectations and as such, genuinely deserves 5 stars!
Helen was approachable, energetic, fun, positive and genuine. We could really tell she cared about our wedding ceremony by our conversations with her and how she handled the rehearsal and ceremony. We could tell she invested her time and energy into our wedding.
She sent us sample ceremony outlines which enabled us to build our own. She provided good feedback which helped us refine it.
On our wedding day, we had a few hiccups. A minor but necessary change in the unity ceremony required some word changing. This Helen got taken care of with ease. We also had a very abnormally hot day, which led to some complications. My mother was almost at the point of passing out as she was directing our wedding helpers. We had to start about 20 minutes late but Helen took care of the bump-in-the-road with ease.
She led the ceremony professionally well. It was amazing. Many at the wedding remarked at how good she made the ceremony.
And if this wasn't enough, she was very affordable and generous in her pricing.
Helen was so great that my wife and I plan to keep in touch with her in the future. I highly recommend Helen for anyone's wedding. -

Helen is an excellent officiant! She is a very kind, helpful, and patient person. She allowed my fiancé (now husband) and I to customize our ceremony and vows to suit our needs. Helen was a fantastic officiant for our winery wedding. We found her wonderfully kind and calm, simply a joy in the crazy wedding vendor world! Many other officiants I spoke to were a little pushy ("good officiants go fast up here in wine country") and, in our opinion, unreasonably expensive. Helen was the absolute opposite. She was level-headed and nice. And, when my husband and I sat down and thought about what we wanted our ceremony to be like, we realized we actually had a lot of ideas and specific wants. Helen listened to our requests, worked with us on multiple drafts and very much made sure that our ceremony was exactly what we wanted it to be. It is so hard to find reasonably-minded, calm and collected wedding vendors, but Helen is definitely one of them! A joy to work with! Our ceremony turned out EXACTLY like we wanted. We highly recommend her! -

Helen was absolutely wonderful! We were planning a destination wedding and were unable to meet with Helen prior to the rehearsal. She was great at responding to my emails and I never had any doubt that the ceremony would be anything but perfect. We were able to work with her to create a ceremony that worked for us very easily. She even traveled over an hour to come to our rehearsal even when not required to.
The ceremony was very personal and it was as if we had known her for years. She worked very well with the planner and DJ that we had booked and you never would have guessed this was the first time officiating a ceremony at our venue. Choose Helen as your officiant and you will not be disappointed! -

Helen was fantastic to work with. She went beyond the scope and provided extras such as beautiful flowers, florist arrangements for ordering and pick up, secured us a witness and helped with photos; she also scouted and fixed our venue. Our wedding was a last minute affair and she made us feel like we had planned it for months and tailored everything to our needs.
She couldn't have been more respectful and excited for us during the event; we feel that we've made a nice friend. -

Helen made our special day truly special and memorable. We were planning a modern day “Brady Bunch” wedding – uniting as a couple and blending two families. The ceremony was unique. It was tailored to reflect us. We laughed, smiled, and even cried some happy tears. The ceremony was uplifting and heartfelt. It was a perfect day.
Here is what I can tell about Helen from my experience:
1. She is a warm and kind person. Easy to talk to and easy to work with.
2. She takes pride in her work. To get the process started, she sent ceremony ideas via email and then we talked on the phone to personalize it. She asked all the right questions and every last detail was covered.
3. She is professional. She arrived on time and was prepared. The wedding ceremony went without a hitch.
4. The end result was a lovely ceremony with lots of personal touches.

I can't speak highly enough of Helen. She was professional and caring and followed through impeccably. We wanted a simple yet meaningful private elopement ceremony and she was very helpful and intuitive in coming up with exactly what we wanted, from the suggested vows to the unity wine ceremony which was so appropriate for our chosen marriage location in the Napa Valley. In planning and executing our ceremony Helen was more than our wedding officiant... we feel like we've made a new and lasting friend. Her rates are extremely reasonable and she even provided a witness, at our request. She's the best! -
