Heidi made our wedding unforgettable!

I cannot recommend Heidi enough! She perfectly captured our story and conveyed it to our friends and family with both humor and gravity. We had a non-traditional ceremony, and she made it unforgettable with reading suggestions and a unique bourbon unity ritual. With Heidi you can tell that weddings are her passion, and she goes out of her way to make your day one to remember.

Heidi helped us create the perfect unique and personally meaningful wedding!

I cannot imagine a better wedding officiant than Heidi! Charismatic, kind, and a natural story-teller, she was one of our favorite parts of our own wedding!

Heidi took the time to really get to know both of us and our relationship, and then wrote a ceremony that was insightful, emotional, and personally meaningful. As a non-religious couple, we were at a loss on how to make the ceremony have the weight and gravitas of a traditional wedding without the religion. Heidi was wonderfully helpful; providing all sorts of alternative words and rituals, as well as suggesting elements from stories we had told her about our families and relationship. She helped us build a ceremony that was uniquely meaningful to us, as well as quite funny! She had the audience both laughing and crying!

When challenges and last minute changes come (as they always do!) you can trust her to handle just about anything with grace and humor. When a family tragedy struck right before the wedding, she provided a shoulder to cry on and worked with me to rewrite the ceremony to incorporate it. When a windstorm hit our outdoor ceremony, it was Heidi's calm and unruffled presence that held everybody together.

We're eternally grateful to Heidi for helping us create our ideal ceremony. If you are looking for something authentic, meaningful, and a little outside the box, there is simply no one better :)

Wedding Celebrant

Heidi was so fantastic and a pleasure to partner with on our wedding. She brought expert insight, and a unique perspective that we had not seen in other weddings we've attended. It was so easy to work with Heidi as she guided us through the process and brought our story to life with her abilities. We received so many compliments from our guests on the ceremony, many wanting to know if we had known Heidi for a long period of time. I hired Heidi for my mother’s memorial and it was by far the best money spent. Heidi was so colorful, bright and positive during the darkest of dark days. She is professional, a wonderful writer and made me feel very comfortable during the process. She is easy to work with, extremely flexible and so very helpful with layout of the ceremony, tips and giving advise. Above all of that, Heidi checked in multiple times to see how I was doing. Not just on a professional level, but on a personal level. She gave me empathy, compassion and support that was much needed and appreciated. I highly recommend her.

Heidi was such a joy to work with! If your on the fence about having a friend officiate your ceremony or hiring a professional let me tell you, all our worries went out the door the first time we met Heidi. She really knows her stuff! She helped in so many ways from handing all the paperwork to helping our bridal party with the rehearsal and coordinating with our photographer and DJ to make sure the ceremony went on without a hiccup! She really took the time to get to know who were were as people and wrote the most amazing ceremony ever! Everyone was commenting afterward about how wonderful of a ceremony it was and wanting to know how we had found her. She calmed all our nerves and truly was the perfect person to let us shine at our ceremony! Thank you so much Heidi!

Each of us has a little magic that leads us to our wedding day. Heidi worked with us to tell the story of that magic and create a memorable ceremony and a special day. She also provided us with a number of spot-on referrals to other folks who helped us. A special thanks to Mike Doolin (music) and Tavin (hairdresser, makeup). We were so glad to have her as our celebrant. And she has a beautiful singing voice!

Heidi was amazing from our initial phone call all the way through the ceremony. She listened to our vision of the ceremony and added tips and suggestions along the way which helped to create a truly unique experience. Heidi crafted a beautiful ceremony, she helped us write and edit our vows, and suggested readings for the ceremony. When it was all said and done we had countless people come up to us and say that our ceremony was one of the best they'd ever witnessed - all credit to Heidi!

Our wedding was 3 days ago and it was absolutely PERFECT! Our family and friends feel the same way. Here are some of their comments: "Memorable wedding!" "Beautiful wedding!" "Loved the ceremony!" "Best wedding I've ever been to." While my husband and I carefully planned all the festivities and there was already lots of love and laughter in the air, I attribute our perfect wedding to the tone that was set by our ceremony being officiated by Heidi. After talking with her on the phone, then in person, and through several timely emails , she was able to weave our love story along with some poignant readings and blessings to create a truly meaningful ceremony. The best way to review a vendor is to listen to the feedback from your guests. We obviously wanted to portray a message to our friends and family, and wanted that expressed in the best way possible. Well we felt great about our decision heading into the festivities, but it was only confirmed that much more after several of our guests commented to us on the performance of Heidi that afternoon. A true professional who I would recommend as your officiant when you say your vows!

Heidi was a creative thinker while working with me to plan my event. She worked with me on planning a Retirement Celebration, and officiated with poise and taste. All attendees at the event expressed delight with the poems and songs used, and surprise at how much fun Heidi made each part. We celebrated our 50th Anniversary this summer, another huge milestone completed in our marriage journey. Our son and his wife decided to give us a celebration. We wanted to renew our vows and commitment to eachother, however, did not want the ceremony to be religion-based. We were so pleased we chose Heidi as she was so easy to work with and took the "jitters" out of the planning process. After much discussion about us and what we wanted to include in the ceremony Heidi's knowledge produced the most memorable day of our lives. Our beautiful ceremony included the music we selected, our family's participation, a ring-warming, vow renewal and a wine ceremony where we each poured our glass into one glass and shared it. Heidi also wrote our Love Story and shared it with our friends and family during the ceremony.

We know you will be just as pleased as we are to include Heidi in your special day. Her knowledge and presence will make your wedding day most memorable. Congratulations on your decision to include Heidi.

Heidi's mantra: "It's your wedding." As a couple wanting our special day to be our way, we truly appreciated Heidi's role in our ceremony. My spouse and I got married after 15 years together. Heidi met with us and discussed our vision for the ceremony. She provided us with a questionnaire allowing us to share details of our lives, our love and our dreams, which she skillfully crafted into a ceremony that felt uniquely ours and wonderfully personal. Heidi had lots of wonderful ideas and we incorporated several of them into our day. We loved the ceremony so much we took choice passages from it and had them made into a Quaker style wedding certificate for all of our guests to sign as witnesses. This keepsake hangs in our home.

For those who want a ceremony that truly suits them, I recommend working with Heidi Yorkshire. I'm sure glad we did.

My now husband and I are not big, traditional wedding people. We planned a small, outdoor ceremony, and while we wanted to keep it fairly low key, we also wanted it to feel like an event, no small feat. We met with Heidi not knowing what to expect from a wedding officiant, and she was so warm and knowledgeable and clearly invested in the process that we booked her right then and there.

She worked with us on creating a script for our ceremony, getting each of us to recall meaningful moments from our relationship and also open up about ourselves a bit. The end result was a ceremony that reflected us, engaged our guests, and was deeply moving without being overwrought.

On the day of the wedding, Heidi was there early to make sure everything went smoothly. She made the whole thing feel special, and was just so sincere; we thought she was darn near perfect.

Heidi guided us, a couple who are not big wedding planners or very knowledgeable about weddings, to our perfect ceremony. She really made our day. We'd totally recommend her.

Heidi was fantastic from start to finish. She began by talking with us to better get to know us. She proceeded to fold into the proposed text of the ceremony much of what she learned about us and our story. She was very responsive to editing suggestions. She had great ideas and provided many choices as we crafted our ceremony. The presentation was professional yet very comfortable. We are absolutely delighted with the overall process and outcome!

Heidi is the most empathetic, eloquent, and delightful officiant we could have hoped for. She really listened to our stories and encapsulated them beautifully in the ceremony. Whenever we ran up against a wall, she came up with excellent alternatives and suggestions. She was always receptive to our preferences, and provided us with a draft of the ceremony for our suggestions within a very short time after our meeting. The draft was so good that we made almost no changes. When the ceremony was performed, we and all our guests were moved deeply. We have since sent it to friends and family who couldn't attend the ceremony, and they have all raved about it. We cannot recommend her highly enough.

I don't even know where to begin to sing the praises of Heidi Yorkshire! Our wedding planner directed us her way and from the moment we met both her my (now) husband and I knew she would be a perfect fit for us. Heidi is professional, and saying she is on top of things is an understatement. She understood the direction we were going for and contributed wholeheartedly, helping us put our scattered thoughts into a concrete and beautifully written ceremony. Heidi sent over suggestions for readings that were meaningful, she corralled our often wandering attention spans to make sure we were on track, and edited our own words to craft a story that was so, so special. I can't even count the number of people who came up to us and told us that our ceremony was one of the most meaningful and heartfelt ceremonies they had witnessed - I totally credit Heidi for making that happen. Planning a wedding is a journey that is filled with endless decisions but I can make this one easy for you, hire Heidi to be your wedding celebrant. Heidi is a very special person and she will make your day as special as she made ours.

Working with Heidi was an absolute pleasure. 3 weeks before our wedding our priest cancelled and we had no idea what to do. Heidi stepped in and from the moment we met her we knew that we were in good hands. She really took the time to get to know us and you would have thought that she was part of the family based on the amazing job she did. Her professionalism and sincerity impressed all. We knew within 10 minutes of meeting Heidi, that she was the officiant for us! She was positive and enthusiastic from the beginning, listening to and understanding our needs. She listened to our story carefully and worked with us to create a beautiful ceremony that so many of our guests commented on. She made suggestions that showed she had genuinely listened to what we wanted from our ceremony, and you can tell that she does this because she enjoys it.
The writing, editing and delivery of our ceremony was heartfelt, and she was intrinsic to setting the relaxed and welcoming mood we wanted to achieve for our wedding day.

Heidi was amazing. She really took the time to get to know us as individual and as a couple. She loves what she does and she does not do it to make a living. She does it to be a special, integral part of a special day in your life. There was not a dry eye in he house during our ceremony. You're lucky to find her and lucky if she can make time for you. We'd recommend her to anyone looking for a meaningful ceremony.

Heidi was very helpful in guiding us before the wedding, giving us ideas for the wedding which we would not have had otherwise that we used and that made it very special. She talked to is and "got the flavor" of our relationship and did a wonderful job in integrating that in what she wrote for the ceremony. Many, many people commented that it was one of the most wonderful weddings they had ever seen, to my mother afterward. They commented that if they were getting married they would want Heidi to be the Celebrant fir their wedding too!

Heidi was our wedding officiant at the Heathman Hotel in Portland. From our first meeting, Heidi was positive and enthusiastic. She listened carefully to what we wanted then met with us several times to be sure that she created the unique ceremony we wanted. She had many creative ideas and suggestions we used, especially regarding music. On the day of the wedding, Heidi came early to ensure that the ceremonial area was set up properly and to do a sound check. She met with the musicians, the photographer and wedding planner to finalize details. Then, she went to the bride’s room to reassure her and remind her of her entrance cue. Heidi proved to be flexible when the groom was unable to stand during the entire service. She quickly adapted the program and still delivered an extremely memorable ceremony. We received many comments complementing us on a unique and unforgettable wedding. Heidi played a major role in this. She helped make our wedding so special and “so us”. We highly recommend her.

Every couple wants to have the perfect wedding. While there are some things that you can't control on your special day, like the weather and how many of your invited guests will actually show up, there are some things you can do to make your wedding day awesome. One of the most important things you can do is to make your ceremony fit you and your bride/groom to be. And Heidi was amazing at helping us create an event that felt perfect for us. We gave her an idea of the feel of the ceremony that we were going for and she ran with it. She offered numerous choices for readings to have and lots of examples of vows that we could include. Yet, she was extremely open to us making changes and adding things to make it more to our liking. What we ended up with was a ceremony that many of our friends and family members said was so "us". We couldn't have been happier with how it went and she even kept the groom in line, which isn't always the easiest thing to do!
