  Hire Heather right now!!!!

  There is simply no better photographer to hire. From the first phone call with Heather 8 months before my wedding I knew I was going to be taken care of. I didn’t have an engagement shoot with her and ended up meeting her 2 days before my wedding but it felt like she was an old friend I was catching up with. Heather creates such a comfortable environment on what is probably the busiest day of your life, gets along with every member of your wedding party/family, and captures every moment you didn’t know you wanted to be photographed. While looking for photographers, her wedding gallery stood out among many, and her photos felt like the most authentic (and best edited) photos I saw. She knows exactly the poses to get and the best spots in all the popular Annapolis areas, not to mention a quick turnaround on getting our photos back. Thank you for everything, Heather!!!

  Best Photographer Ever!

  I cannot endorse Heather Ryan Photography more strongly. From day 1 Heather was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. She led us every step of the way, even around the many hurdles the US Naval Academy erects when it comes to timing, access, and photography locations. My husband and I can't stop watching the 1200 photo gallery and are struggling to choose which we want to print and hang because they are all fabulous. Heather knows her stuff, so trust her judgment. Def complete her forms and ask questions if you have them. She is laid back, fun, and very nice. As I reflect back, I didn't even notice her at the chapel nor at the reception tent, so she is unobtrusive as well. Please let Heather help you create lasting memories.

  We could not be happier with choosing Heather as our wedding photographer. She was a recommended vendor from our venue, but we took a risk with not having met her prior to our wedding day. From the moment we met her, she was a calming presence and knew exactly how to guide my husband and I, wedding party and family for all photos. Our hair and makeup ran late, and Heather was able to adjust and make sure to capture everything we needed to and still stay on time. Having Heather there on our wedding day took one less stress out of the day! We are still going through the hundreds of photos and are blown away by what her and her assistant captured.   Heather was outstanding throughout the entire process. She catered exactly to the type of pictures we wanted. She helped us figure out the best poses for us and found ways to help us look more natural in pictures. She got all of our wedding photos done in record time, and she beautifully captured a summary of our day in our wedding album. I would recommend her to anyone getting married.

  Best Photographer Ever!

  We are so, so grateful we chose Heather as our photographer for our August 2023 wedding! Our photos truly captured the pure joy of our special day and we will treasure them forever. The quality and quantity of the photos she provided us after both our wedding and our engagement shoot was simply outstanding. On top of that, Heather is professional, detail-oriented, kind, thoughtful, and easy to talk to! She was truly a joy to be around throughout our big day. From the getting ready process to the wedding Mass to the reception and all points in between she was present, active, and considerate. We were so surprised when we received our full gallery less than a week after our wedding! We cannot recommend Heather Ryan enough for all couples looking for an outstanding wedding photographer!

  Heather photographed my daughter’s Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding 5/19-20/2023. She was very sweet, punctual, and took all the photos we requested while not drawing attention to herself. She sent us our first big set of pictures within the first week after the wedding. Excellent work! Highly recommend.

  If you are looking for a amazing wedding photographer to capture your big day, look no further and book Heather as soon as possible! Heather was hands down my favorite vendor for my wedding! She was my right hand making sure not only that she captured the day perfectly, but that we didn’t miss or forget any traditions that we wanted. She always made time to chat through any questions I had and efficiently responded to my emails too. Highly recommend the second photographer as well. Heather was such an amazing vendor and I’m so happy she was able to document my big day. I love looking at all my images and reliving the day, all thanks to her!

Not only is every frame stunning, but she is punctual, responsive, and one of the most easy going vendors I have had the pleasure of working with. We had an insanely large bridal party, that was not always the easiest to wrangle, and she handled it beautifully. She knows how to make you feel truly comfortable. 11/10 would recommend her services.

My husband and I are both pretty shy when it comes to taking pictures and from the moment we met with Heather for our engagement photos, she made us feel very comfortable and gave us great direction for poses. Prior to both our engagement session and wedding, Heather was very communicative, flexible, and answered all of my questions (and I had a lot!) On our wedding day Heather was extremely professional and she worked well alongside our videographer despite never working with him before. We received our entire wedding album a week after our wedding and we loved them just as much as we loved our engagement photos.   When we started looking for wedding photographers I was scared we wouldn’t find someone who could capture the moments that were important to us. I had reached out to a few other photographers but the instant we spoke with Heather we knew this was the fit for us. Heather took the time to speak with us and really get a feel for what we wanted and get to know us. She took all of that and made our engagement session so fun, playful and romantic! She did everything to make sure she captured all different shots we wanted. We knew from there we had the best to capture our special day.
  
  On the day of our wedding, Heather was there on time and ready to go. Heather is so personable I honestly felt like I had another friend with me getting ready. Heather and our videographer worked SO well together and our whole day was captured with every photo she took.

  After having a terrible experience with another photographer Heather saved the day. She stepped up two weeks before our wedding to not only make sure we had a photographer but to take beautiful photos. She was personable, fun, and professional. She returned our gallery within a week! I could not recommend her more.

  Highly Recommend Heather!

  We are so happy we chose Heather to be our photographer at our wedding! There are so many great things to say about her it's hard to decide where to start! We were first introduced by a friend who had booked Heather for her wedding. When my fiancé and I got engaged we were excited that she was available for our wedding date. Heather was helpful from the moment we reached out to ask about her availability. She walked us through the planning process and was always responsive to any questions we had. The day of our wedding, Heather was extremely organized and professional. You can tell she knows what she is doing and does it well. Not only did she take BEAUTIFUL pictures, but she was so thoughtful and interacted with all of our family, friends, and guests in a friendly and professional manner. She captured our special day perfectly. She didn't miss a thing - not only did she capture our planned events for the day, but she even captured an unplanned moment when my fiancé surprised me and told me he had my wedding ring engraved without me knowing. My fiancé and I are far from being models, but Heather made us look and feel like ones on our wedding day. She expertly picked the best locations and poses for our photos. She also went out of her way to accommodate our requests, like taking photos out on the dock at our venue in the cold. Heather quickly produced a photo preview for us after our wedding. Since then we have gotten our full set of pictures and love how great they all turned out. We can't thank Heather enough for all of her hard work and dedication. Heather is thoughtful, considerate, and extremely talented. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer!

  The Most Amazing Person Ever

  From our engagement session to our wedding day Heather was amazing. My husband and I are definitely ones to prefer being behind the camera rather than in front of one. However from the moment we met Heather at our engagement session location she made us feel so comfortable. Since we don’t usually pose for photos the direction she provided allowed for beautiful photos and even the candidness of others captured amazing moments in time. The turn around time was so fast I couldn’t even believe it. Our favorite photos from our day were our first look and our first dance. Heather is an amazing photographer and her personality allows for such a comfortable experience you feel like you are with a great friend! Thank you so much Heather!!

  Heather Ryan took the most beautiful pictures of my daughter's wedding at USNA in September 2021. I couldn't be more pleased. She has a keen eye on capturing special details and was so pleasant to work with - before and during the wedding weekend. I most highly recommend her for your wedding!

  Absolutely loved working with Heather Ryan for my wedding day. Emails were always prompt and responsive, and she was always able to provide extra insights that made the photoshoots extra special. As someone who isn't the most comfortable in front of camera, I was initially a bit apprehensive in choosing photographers, but Heather and her assistant provided such a relaxing and casual atmosphere during the shoots that the photos turned out beautifully. She captured both professionally staged and sincere candid moments that allowed us to truly relive our wedding day. I loved working with her, and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a well-experienced and talented photographer.

  She was great during the whole process from our first initial phone call to helping me with the day-of photo timeline (we did a first look and photos with a large wedding party before the ceremony). I am very grateful for our planning phone calls and communication. We were on the same page about everything and she was a great listener!
  
  Our wedding day was actually the first time I met her in personaI and just from our calls and emails I felt like I knew her. I felt totally comfortable with her. She was professional, so sweet and a calming presence! She was awesome to work with and I was so so happy with everything.
  
  We received the preview and sneak peak so fast! We loved sharing the blog post with our friends and family. The quality of the photos were so amazing!
  
  We cannot be more happy that we chose Heather to capture our wedding celebration and the important people that have shaped us into who we are today.

  Best Decision

  Hiring Heather was the best decision we could have made for our wedding.
  We took engagement photos with her in May and had the best time. Heather is fun to work with and so talented. I told my bridesmaids I cannot wait for them to meet her at the wedding because I know she will add so much to the day! I am going to be much more relaxed at my wedding with Heather as my photography.

  When I got engaged, I knew Heather would be my go to for photography. She has photographed so many of my friends events and I knew she was great. She is so easy to work with and makes the picture taking process easy! After the wedding, we got our preview SO FAST. She really captured our day perfectly and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer!
