Heather officiated our wedding and the ceremony content was absolutely beautifully written. We have family members and friends who speak Spanish, so she delivered parts of the ceremony in both English and Spanish. Heather listened to our desires for the ceremony and was very responsive throughout the planning process. She also drove all the way to Acadia for our wedding! I recommend her as your officiant if you want a thoughtfully written wedding ceremony from a very kind soul.

Heather is a dream writer. Not only does she speak well, but the words she wrote for our ceremony are beyond beautiful. We had a lot of requests/changes for what we wanted our ceremony to look/feel like. As a couple we endured a lot of loss. She incorporated our moments of silence/paying respects to those not with us ( I lost both my parents). Shortly before our wedding, we lost the joy/love of our life; our pup Boomer. She incorporated telling our story, and even managed to nicely advise our guests that our dogs ashes were embedded in our wedding bands. Not sure how she managed to make something so painfully to us, sound so beautiful…..but she did.
Heather understood the assignment and got our energy as a couple perfectly. We wanted sweet, sentimental, but also make it light and fun. She even kept her composure when bees started flying around us. She remained professional and fun. Speaking of fun;
my husband and I both came up with our own vows. We couldn’t agree on who would actually go first. So in our own fashion, we played rock, paper, scissors in front of everyone to see who would read their vows first. I still don’t know how she managed to make announcing that we are going to play rock, paper, scissors sound romantic, but she did. Heather nailed reflecting us as a couple and did it so beautifully. If you want a fun, sweet, sentimental officiant, Heather is your girl.

Heather Rose, I am convinced, is an angel sent to Maine. This woman exudes joy and enthusiasm for what she does and works so hard to ensure her couples get exactly what they want. She crafted the most beautiful heartfelt ceremony that included much of what I mentioned in our initial call and then allowed me to add some special touches to make it our own! Arrived early and was very go-with-the-flow even when things went awry. 10/10 would recommend her services every time!

Heather Rose for the elopement win!
I found Heather on Wedding Wire, she was a great partner for our elopement! My initial emails with Heather were returned promptly, she quickly scheduled an interview call with me at my convenience. She put me at ease on the call and seemed like such a warm and delightful person! She helped put me at ease about our ceremony, as we were road tripping from Texas to Maine for our elopement in the Acadia National Park. She kept in touch with me between our first call and our wedding day and sent me helpful information on how to get married in Maine and notes about the speech she was writing for our ceremony. She drove across the state for our ceremony cheerfully, hiked to our wedding site and was such a joy to spend our wedding day with. Her speech for our wedding was so sweet and thoughtful. Heather wrote an amazing ceremony somehow without ever meeting us in person. She was able to take the details of our relationship and preferences and craft a beautiful speech about our union. Heather was the perfect officiant! She rolled with the punches when a few things changed at the last minute and was totally open to our semi-non traditional ceremony. She added the perfect amount of humor and emotion. Everyone was complimenting our ceremony, how perfect it was and how much it really reflected us! She was really great in helping us plan out ceremony too, because neither of us had any idea what we were doing. 😂 I’ll try to update my review with photos when I get them back.

Heather was so fantastic to work with! My husband and I happened to be guests at wedding where she officiated in Maine and we knew based on her ceremony there, we had to have her perform ours as well. Heather traveled to Massachusetts for an extremely reasonable cost and was so organized and efficient. She took care of everything on the back end, we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Where do I start!! When we started looking for an Officiant in Maine we had no idea where to start being from Conneticut. I came on WeddingWire and contacted a few people, no one seemed to be the right person. Then Heather Rose responded with such an amazingly sweet email asking how we were doing with our plans, introduced herself and never mentioned anything about money or travel cost in that first introduction. It was such a happy tone that came through in her email. So friendly, warm and welcoming. We knew right away that she was who we want to marry us. After talking with her further we couldn’t have been happier with our decision! Our wedding ceremony was straight from the heart, she wrote a ceremony that described our love to a tee! The beautiful tone of her voice was perfect, her scent of humor was great, we laughed, we cried, we had the best day of our lives and Heather Rose put it all down in words. We wrote our own vows, but we’re too emotional to read them, so Heather read them for us, so eloquently, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
Heather Rose even drove an hour each way for our rehearsal that only lasted 15 minutes. There aren’t enough words to describe how much we appreciated her for all her time she put into our wedding ceremony and stuck with us during all of our date changes and uncertainty during this crazy time.

Heather was so outstanding for our wedding day. I contacted her and she let me know that she was actually already booked for our date but gave the option that if we wanted to have a family member or friend perform the ceremony day of that she could write and construct the day for us. We asked a friend and went with this option and it worked our beautifully! Heather was so accommodating and patient with us and wrote an amazing ceremony for our friend to read. Perfection in words and Capturing us personally
Heather was an amazing part of our wedding. She took her time to get to know us personally from so far away, we are from NC and she is from ME. Heather was great to work with! A couple of months before the wedding she sent us a questionnaire, then she returned to us with a draft of the ceremony and she captured our relationship so well! Heather promptly returned emails and helped us adjust the ceremony every time we had a new idea. At our rehearsal and the day of she welcomed our family warmly and was understanding, especially with the youngest members of our young bridal party (ages 1, 3, 6, and 8). She clearly has experience and enjoys officiating.

Heather Rose did a fantastic job as our wedding officiant. We wanted a short and simple ceremony and she did just that but also made sure it was still personal and romantic. All of our guests enjoyed the ceremony and there was not a dry eye in the room. Heather worked with me on creating the perfect ceremony readings and vows. She was always willing to change anything I asked so we could together create the perfect ceremony. She traveled to Portland for our wedding but the night before we did a FaceTime rehearsal which was somewhat difficult without having her there in person, but also worked out quite well in the end. We chose this option to spare ourselves the travel fee.

I could never thank Heather enough for everything she did for our ceremony. She took the time and effort to really get to know me and my husband before putting together the perfect ceremony. We got married out of state (in Maine) & planning a wedding, being so far away, was no easy task! But after doing some research & many email correspondences to various places, we finally found Heather!
Heather was promtly responsive, helpful through the various stages of our planning, checked in "just because", arrived early the day of, was very patient, a cheerful presence and fit right in with us all.
Although she was hundreds of miles away, her ability to collaborate, made us feel as though she was right here with us.

Heather was amazing as our officiant for our oceanfront wedding at Joseph's by the Sea in Old Orchard Beach! I communicated with her through email and Facebook, and she customized our ceremony script to be exactly what we wanted! She was at the venue early and was so very kind. while I was a bridezilla mess, flying around like crazy! She helped us not only create a ceremony that moved our guests to the point of tears (happy ones), but also helped us pick out a color scheme, was able to suggest vendors, smoothed out the over-all flow of our ceremony. We were so nervous to start planning our wedding---all the details eep--but with Heather it felt like we weren't alone. Heather was a wonderful addition to our day. She knew I was unsure about how to pick an officiant and met with me in advance to make sure it was a good fit. Through a Google Doc exchange, we were able to make updates and suggestions to the ceremony quickly and she always was very responsive. While having a positive, upbeat vibe she was also a calming influence on our rehearsal and big day (which was super helpful during the wedding day chaos). My spouse and I had Heather plan our ceremony from top to bottom and it was magnificent, magical, beautiful and everything we could have ever hoped for. She has a very good eye for what works in regards to flow, timing, and presentation. She demonstrates a lot of patience, guidance and knowledge. We also implemented the use of her botanical experience where she helped us to create fabulous centerpieces that matched our botanical-literary theme. Heather was amazing! We realized less than a month before our wedding that we had not successfully booked our officiant. We were panicking. But Heather came to the rescue. She has the most beautiful soothing voice. Our guests described her as an angel! Heather was very flexible and patient with us. We weren't able to get Heather our ceremony script until a couple hours before the wedding but that didn't throw Heather off one bit. We hired Heather 2 months before our wedding and she was fantastic to work with. Initially, we didn't know how we wanted our ceremony conducted but knew we wanted something simple, short (less than 30 minutes) with traditional vows. Heather sent us 2 different scripts we can choose from: a more traditional structured service with traditional vows and (the one we chose) a customized one with the traditional vows. Her replies were prompt (replies between 1-2 day) and professional yet personable. During the service, she spoke clearly (i.e. enunciated words,didn't drift off into mumbles, etc.) and with a great pace it didn't feel too rushed or slow. Our guests complimented on the service and how well it was executed. Heather was phenomenal to work with.

She actually met us at the dealership where we were when getting our truck serviced. She listened to "our story," made notes, and sent an email a few days later with the perfect ceremony! Heather was great with putting together the perfect ceremony for my husband and I. Communication was flawless and the process was easy. We loved how personal our ceremony was it was honestly perfect for us and unforgettable.
The only thing is that 30 minutes before our first look, Heather called saying she couldn’t afford the enterance fee to Acadia National Park. That she didn’t have enough money in her account and no service to transfer the money over. It was inconvenient considering we were about to walk out the door and I was already in a rush. It would have been fine if she asked me to reimburse her after the ceremony but it honestly threw me for a loop.

Nightmare.
I had previously booked Heather to officiate my wedding. I have since terminated our booking (she didn’t have me sign a contract FYI). She initially got my wedding year wrong and reached out to me a few days prior to the date she had written down, which doesn’t seem like good planning on her part. I’ve attempted to contact her on 5 different occasions only to have every single email not responded to. I eventually decided to text her to see if there was a better way for us to communicate, only for her to leave me on read and to this date not follow up. Poor communication…
Poor communication skills. Takes days or weeks or no reply at all in regards to emails, texts, calls and or FT. It is stressful enough to plan a special day and Heather Rose made that journey collapse UNTIL we were obligated to seek another officiant who was amazing. One star is one too many. I am writing this in hopes others do not have to endure this experience for I rely heavily on others experiences. Keep scrolling….
