Heather was one of the best parts of our wedding in August 2022. She was incredibly organized, reliable, and efficient—but also such a warm, encouraging, and joyful presence throughout the day. Her photos are stunning! We look at them every year on our anniversary and feel so grateful for her. She’s truly doing the work she was meant to do. Highly, highly recommend! -

I wanted to wait to review Heather because I knew I would be attending some other weddings soon after mine, so I could get some more perspective useful to consumers. I now can confidently say that she was the perfect person to do our wedding and engagement photos. Her aesthetic sensibilities, editing, and presence at the wedding were just excellent. I am now six months out and I still look at the pictures every day. Everything mentioned here will be something we believe she did better than what we've seen from other photographers.
From the day we met for engagement photos, she was great at helping us relax and lose ourselves in the moment to get more candid and vibrant photos. Her posing cues were easy to understand and resulted in candid, natural positions and scenes. Before the wedding she even helped to plan things and nail down a schedule for photo times. She also traveled to the area around our venue to scout ahead of time for notable and photogenic locations nearby. What a huge difference that made! Some of our best pics are from the observatory she found just outside our venue.
We are big fans of her editing style. different photographers have their own tendencies and this may be a matter of our personal taste but we felt that the way she balances color, saturation, etc was very tasteful and fit the occasion perfectly. The colors of our clothes and the church and the reception were all faithfully recreated in the photos with no gaudy oversaturation but also still vibrant and beautiful, not whitewashed or drained. The pictures on her website are an accurate representation of her style, so reference those.
During the ceremony, she and her team were totally inconspicuous. Despite a wealth of shots that feel as if they were taken from the altar and pews, she never once obstructed anyone's view or walked in front of any congregants.
And just in case if I haven't said it enough, most importantly of all, the pictures turned out incredible. Every single one is beautiful. We have run out of frames because there are just hundreds that deserve to be displayed.
Really impressive stuff. She is definitely a professional! -

What can I say? I am truly speechless! Heather was absolutely amazing in every aspect of the word. She maintained communication in the planning process, she was the perfect hype when showing her inspiration photos and just overall A GREAT PERSON. Not to mention her PICTURES??? LIKE WHAT! She is so talented and I am truly blessed to have her as our photographer. Definitely using her for every family portraits in the future. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I promise you she will be the best for you! -

There are no words to describe our gratitude for Heather and the amazing work she did capturing our big day. Her positive energy helped both my husband and me feel comfortable in front of the camera leading to the most breathtaking and natural wedding photos ever! Fall is our favorite season, and it was important to us that our wedding photos capture the Fall essence and colors. Heather did an amazing job with that, and our photos look like they came out from a wedding magazine! Above all else, though, the quality that distinguishes Heather is her incredible work ethic and her passion for photography. Heather loves what she does, and it shows through her excitement throughout the wedding planning process and on the big day, her commitment to perfection and the promptness in delivering the photos (we got our whole wedding gallery in 2 weeks!!!). It was a delight working with her and we very very highly and strongly recommend her! -

Heather is the best!
We LOVED working with Heather! As soon as we met her Heather's bubbly energy brought the sweetest vibe to our day! We were so blown away at her ability to capture our many family photos in record time so that we could enjoy time with all of our guests during cocktail hour. Heather made us feel so comfortable and cared for throughout our day! Her kindness and energy were evident from start to finish and we are so glad to have had her on our wedding team!

The EASIEST/ BEST Choice in our wedding process was Heather J Photography!
With all the choices my now husband and I made for the wedding, our choice of a photographer was the easiest. From the 1st meeting, Heather was amazing and we knew that she had to be the one who captures our day! In the year leading up to the wedding, Heather helped me with so much! Sometimes I forgot that I hired her because she felt more like a friend that I knew my entire life! She was responsive and actually gave suggestions and ideas! She was amazing in the engagement photos but I believe on the wedding day is when she shinned the brightest! From helping the men with tying ties and zipping girls in dresses, then to the downright magical photos! Heather, you are honestly amazing at your job and we can't thank you enough for capturing our special day. We will cherish our photos for years to come and we will be back to have you help capture many other special moments in our life! Choose Heather J. Oh my gosh. I wish I could give Heather 100 stars. We could NOT have been happier with our wedding photos. She captured so many priceless moments. We had a conversation right before the wedding to tell her what was most important to me about capturing that day and she delivered 10-fold. I don’t know how I will ever decide which photos for our album. If I can share advice I received from one of my friends, after the wedding is over (and it’s over QUICKLY), all you have left of that day are your memories and your photos. You may be able to find someone to do your wedding photos for less, but remember that you get what you pay for. Heather is worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY. Every single time I have brought up all the photos, I’ve been brought to tears. She absolutely nailed it! Not only is she extremely talented, she is a genuinely beautiful person inside and out and we truly enjoyed working with her every step of the way. Do yourself a favor and hire her immediately for your special day! You won’t regret it. -

Heather was an amazing as our wedding photographer for our 5/14/22 wedding. She was responsive, communicated throughout the process, and was fun to work with. Her bubbly attitude kept us laughing and having a good time during both the engagement and wedding photo times. She also included my dogs which was important to me! Overall I couldn’t recommend Heather enough for her quality work. Her turn around time is also great, which is another selling point! -

I really don’t know where to start, but I will start off by saying Heather has a true passion and a work of art in what she does. I can honestly say Heather made the whole experience, from start to finish, so easy and made sure I was happy with EVERYTHING. You can truly tell she loves what she does and I think that is so important when choosing a photographer on the biggest day of your life. Not only is she a fantastic photographer but she is more than happy helping with little things like recommending others vendors or even putting on your veil in my case. It warms my heart that every time I look at my wedding photos 20 years from now that I will remember how great it was to work with Heather. -

Heather by far is the sweetest and caring person ever. Not only did she make my now husband feel so comfortable doing poses, but she got to know us as a couple. That alone made us love her. We both said we can't wait for future event in our lives so we can hire Heather again to capture the special moments!!
