Heather was a dream to work with from day 1. I emailed back and forth with many different photographers when starting my search, but there was something so different about corresponding with Heather. She was so genuine and friendly, and not "salesy" at all, I felt like I was talking to a friend. She was very speedy to respond to my emails and seemed truly interested in getting to know my fiance and I, and who we are as a couple. Heather's light, bright, and airy style is what drew us in originally, but her personality sealed the deal!
I personally LOVED that her package included engagement photos. This let us get to know each other in person before the big day! We were OBSESSED with our engagement photos and completely BLOWN AWAY with our wedding photos! Heather made sure she knew exactly what we wanted approaching our wedding day, but the end result was even better than we could've ever imagined. Heather captured such beautiful, artful shots, and was thoughtful in everything that she did. There was not a moment that was missed, or not caught on camera by Heather or her 2nd shooter/husband Chase (so stinking precious that it's husband and wife shooting together).
The process was super easy and Heather got photos back to us way sooner than I expected. Once we got photos back, she was so wonderful about editing photos that I was "nitpicking" (nothing wrong with the photos, just a blemish here and there, perfectionist problems) and she did so quickly, and with a happy heart, because she wanted the photos to be 100% perfect for us!
I cannot say enough good things about Heather and her photography! She was INCREDIBLE to work with and I knew that the most important day of our life was going to be captured phenomenally. Thank you Heather!

We truly cannot recommend Heather and Chase enough! From our engagement shoot to our wedding day, Heather was incredibly responsive, flexible, organized, and just such a calming presence throughout the whole process.
My husband and I were both SO nervous for our engagement photos because neither of us are naturally comfortable in front of the camera, but she immediately made us feel relaxed. She gave us so much direction in the best way and made everything feel natural and easy. Then, we were not nervous at all for any pictures on wedding day!
I was also stressed about not doing a first look even though I strongly didn’t want to do one. I was worried we wouldn’t have enough time for all the photos we wanted. She was beyond flexible and somehow made everything happen so smoothly without us ever feeling rushed or stressed. She made sure we got every special photo we wanted including a first look with my bridesmaids, with family member before and after the ceremony, and photos on the golf course before the reception. The timeline flowed perfectly!
On top of that, she got our full gallery back to us weeks earlier than we were expecting!. And of course, the photos themselves are absolutely amazing. We are obsessed with every single one! We are so grateful for her and Chase! -

Heather was absolutely incredible! I am someone who hates taking pictures, especially for an extended period of time. However, Heather made the process so fun. The time we spent taking pictures was actually some of the most relaxing parts of our day. Heather also had plenty of sneak peaks and had our gallery ready WAY sooner than I anticipated. I sent her inspiration shots a few days before and she EXCEDED my expectation. She is sweet, caring, kind, and so so organized. Her husband and second shooter, Chaser, was also incredible. He was so easy to work with and they make an incredible team. We will cherish the time they spent taking the pictures, editing them, and sending them over forever. Thank you!!!! -

You must book Heather!!! She is amazing at her job, so kind and flexible, and produces high quality photos of all the amazing moments from your day. I had two highlights from working with Heather, which I think make her stand out from others. First, she did such a fantastic job capturing the personalities and small moments of our day. I never once worried about the photos not showing exactly what our day was like and she captured so many moments that I wasn’t able to see day of! It was never about getting the perfect picture (though she did somehow manage to make us look wayyyy better than I thought) but about making us look like ourselves. Second, Heather met me exactly where I was and helped make the day very “me” - I never felt the pressure to do things just to do them. She could read me day of and knew exactly what I was going for without me even telling her! She made everyone comfortable and happy day of, and I couldn’t be happier with our photos! She’s the best of the best and I couldn’t recommend her more!!! -

THE BEST Wedding Photographer
My sister used Heather for her wedding day. When I saw her wedding photos, I knew instantly that my husband and I had to book Heather for our wedding 1.5 years later! We are SO glad that we did. From initial booking to wedding day she made the entire planning process seamless. She is organized, professional, and so easy to talk to! Heather's attention to detail is unmatched. My husband and I wanted photos that were elegant, classic, and timeless and she and her awesome husband Chase did just that! They captured every single moment, emotion, and details of our wedding day perfectly. Heather's photos are truly a work of art. Additionally, she and Chase made everyone feel so comfortable in front of the camera. We are so glad we have so many amazing photos to look back on for years to come. Book Heather for your wedding ASAP!!!
My husband and I could not recommend Heather more. She is so positive, professional, and easy to communicate with! Her combination of artistic and organizational skills allowed us to have a wedding album that included every shot we asked for in our shot list plus a lot of candids that captured the mood of the day. She and Chase are warm and welcoming, and did an amazing job of posing us and making everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. As a bride, you put so much work into planning the details, and rest assured if none of your guests notice, Heather will! On top of capturing the sweet moments of our day, she and Chase also found time to capture all our details. You will not regret booking Heather for your event! -

Choosing a photographer for one of the biggest days of your life can be hard, but Heather Dettore Photography made the decision so easy! We had our fears about capturing such an important event in our lives, but Heather and Chase exceeded all our expectations.
From the very beginning, Heather was a joy to work with. She was incredibly easy to talk to and always checked in to ensure she understood exactly what we wanted. Her attention to detail was amazing! She not only captured all the important moments but also the special, smaller details that I would have forgotten about.
We felt like ourselves in every photo, and she perfectly documented the emotions and atmosphere of our day. The entire process was fun and stress-free! I highly recommend Heather Dettore Photography. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer for our wedding. Due to distance and other obligations, my husband and I weren’t able to do an engagement session prior to our big day. I was definitely a little bit worried about meeting Heather in person for the first time on our wedding day, but the second she walked in, all fears faded away. She was calm, prepared, sweet, and most importantly so excited to celebrate us as a couple and capture all we are. Heather felt like a best friend who happened to also be an incredible photographer. (And we loved her husband, Chase, too!)
Throughout the lead up to our wedding day she patiently answered every single question that popped into my brain, and met with me over the phone to go through our entire shot list. Although I came in with lots of ideas of what I was looking for in our pictures, Heather went above and beyond. She exceeded all expectations. She captured all my ideas but more importantly, the little unplanned moments- the looks, the joy, the quick kisses, and the family and friends who traveled near and far to be there with us. It’s impossible to pick favorites because every picture is just that special. We will treasure these photos for the rest of our lives.
I would HIGHLY recommend having Heather as a part of your wedding day. She has a gift for capturing a couple for who they are. She will put you at ease, cheer you on, and leave you with incredible photographed memories. She’s just the best! -

Heather and her sweet husband, Chase, make the best team and are truly incredible at what they do! They captured every single moment of our wedding day from beginning to end and provided us with SO many gorgeous pictures! My wedding photos (and engagement photos) are absolutely stunning!!! Heather creates images that are classic and timeless which is exactly what I wanted. Three months later, my husband and I STILL can’t stop looking at our wedding photos! We will cherish them forever. Heather also has the sweetest, most genuine personality. From our initial phone call - I knew I wanted her to be our wedding photographer. Then, when we met in person for our engagement shoot, it only solidified my first impression of her over the phone. She is extremely experienced, responsive, organized, professional and detail oriented! She goes the extra mile on everything (welcome packages, keeping her brides updated on the editing process, sneak peeks, and delivers a quick turnaround). Best Wedding Photographer
Heather (and her sweet husband Chase) were the absolute best wedding photographers. My husband and I had a short 6 month engagement, and we were scrambling to nail down a wedding photographer who was within our budget but who also had an editing style we liked. Heather had been recommended to me by a friend who had used her at her wedding a year prior. Amazingly enough, Heather was able to accomodate us in her schedule. I was a little nervous having not met Heather prior as we didn't have time do to our engagement photos with her. That said, we had several calls with Heather where she made us so comfortable and showed her expertise and organization by discussing a shotlist with us. When I met Heather on my wedding day, it was like I'd known her for a long time. She came right into the bridal suite and made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. Heather and Chase were incredibly helpful and kind, while still being professional and keeping us on schedule. Following our wedding, Heather sent me text updates regarding the editing status of our photos. She also sent me sneak peaks and gave me access to the online album while she was editing. The photos turned out better than I could've ever imagined and are treasures that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. I cannot recommend Heather highly enough. She really is the best! -

I cannot even begin to describe how amazing Heather is. I used to work in the wedding industry so I was very picky when it came to booking our vendors. Heather was a vendor that I knew I was going to use when I got married. We absolutely loved her! She was so helpful before the wedding and answering any questions we had. Day of was even better! We trusted her fully with what she thought was best and I’m so glad we did! Our photos are better than I could’ve ever imagined. I’m so happy that we have these to look back on for years to come. -

My Experience with Heather Dettore Photography
Heather Dettore Photography did an excellent job of easing my worries as a bride who is known to be a little stressed every now and then. The organization of Heather's photography timeline and making sure it aligned with the wants of the Bride and Groom was fabulous. Working with her was a breeze and she always made sure the needs of the Bride and Groom were met the day of the wedding and leading up to it as well. The pictures Heather captured of our wedding day were nothing short of dreamy and perfect and we will enjoy looking at them for years to come! Heather was SO amazing. I knew I wanted someone who would capture my day perfectly and she did just that. My pictures are everything I could’ve asked for and more. Heather provided me with the most stunning wedding photos! I have gotten so many compliments on our pictures since receiving them and sharing them with others. Her and her husband are so sweet and easy to work with. She gave so much direction on how to pose and knew exactly what would photograph beautifully. Her knowledge is so vast, not only with posing and how to get incredible photos, but also in assisting with the timeline and flow of events to best maximize our time. After our wedding, we heard so many compliments from guests about how Heather and her husband, Chase, were so stealthy and able to get every single moment but not interfere with the moments themselves! Could not be happier!!
Booking Heather was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! I am new-ish to the Atlanta area so I didn’t have any wedding photography recommendations, but Heather was on our venue’s list of preferred vendors (thank goodness!!). After browsing her work, I knew from her portfolio that we needed her for our wedding! When I first reached out, I was pleased to find that she was extremely responsive and communicative with me and this continued throughout the entire wedding planning process too. Her packages include an engagement shoot, which was a great opportunity to meet her in person. My husband and I have never really had professional photos taken prior to our engagement shoot, but Heather made us feel comfortable and the pictures turned out great. Leading up to the wedding, Heather was very organized and helped us think through wedding day timeline and she answered all the questions and concerns about any potential obstacles on the day of (such as bad weather, etc.). On the wedding day, Heather and her husband Chase were outstanding! They were extremely prepared for every part of the day, worked well with the other vendors, and made sure to capture all of our special moments. Our photos look absolutely amazing!!! I love Heather’s editing style, and I am so happy about how great the photos have turned out. I would definitely recommend Heather and Chase to anyone looking for a photographer in the ATL area! -

5 star review incoming!!! Heather came highly recommended to me by a few friends who had used her in the past and man she did not disappoint!! From the moment I sent her an inquiry email she was so sweet and extremely responsive about everything. Her package includes an engagement photo session and she was super helpful in coming up with ideas of great areas to take them at because I wasn't super familiar with the Atlanta area (we live outside the city). The engagement photos turned out incredible and so from then on I knew that our wedding photos were going to be even better!! About a month before our wedding day, I met with Heather and we went over all the different shots that I wanted to make sure we got on the big day and she was so helpful in guiding me on what she thought would be great photos to have taken throughout the whole day. Fast forward to our wedding day and what do you know, TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR OF RAIN!!, I mean seriously, it didn't stop raining the entire day and our initial plan was to take most of our photos outside. We of course couldn't do that but her and her husband Chase got there even earlier than they were scheduled to be there to scope everything out to see where we could still get the best photos indoors. Our venue had accordion doors and this is where their creative genius really shined...they ended up pulling open all of the doors and gave our photos an "outdoor" feel and the natural light of outside all while still being inside so we didn't get completely rained on. Every single photo turned out AMAZING. Truly something out of a magazine!! Heather and Chase made taking the photos so easy and natural. Nothing ever seemed super posed or cheesy and it shows in our photos. I couldn't have imagined choosing a better photographer to capture our special day! I have a few friends that are *hopefully* getting married in the near future and I will 100% be convincing them to use Heather & Chase for their big day! -

Heather was referred to me by a friend who was a bridesmaid in several weddings Heather photographed. She did not disappoint. Heather is professional, organized, responsive, and so fun to work with! She does not get flustered and remains calm and easy going during what can be a pretty chaotic day. My husband really enjoyed working with Heather's husband Chase and said he had the best personality and attitude for trying to wrangle a large group of groomsmen for pictures. Cannot recommend Heather and Chase enough! They were a huge part of making my wedding day so fun and easy :) -

We looked at about 15 different photographers but none of them compared to Heather's work. I actually met Heather when she did my sister's wedding and immediately fell in love with her photos. They are classic and timeless, and I will cherish them forever. Heather is incredibly professional, responsive, and super easy to work with. She's also so incredibly fast with her turnaround times and sends us sneak peeks along the way. A lot of vendors wanted to charge extra for an engagement soon, but Heather includes them in her packages which is a huge relief. She helped me come up with my timeline and shot list before the wedding. And on the day of the wedding, she brings her husband Chase to help out which is great to take care of the groomsmen photos and get different angles that you wouldn't think of. I would recommend Heather to anyone I know and I will definitely be working with her again in the future. Best photographer in Atlanta, hands down. -

Being a natural redhead, I have always had reservations about being photographed/edited by others but when I look back at the photos that Heather took, I feel like my most beautiful self. These are photos that I will never get tired of looking at and I will cherish them forever. If you have the opportunity to book Heather Dettore Photography, my one piece of advice is to do it! Fantastic photos & amazing experience!
Heather and her husband are everything you could want in wedding photographers. Most importantly, they take amazing pictures that capture your personality and aesthetic perfectly. Also, they both have a calm and relaxing presence that puts everyone at ease and fosters a great time for all involved. My wedding photos came out better than I could have ever imagined. Not to mention she is flexible and super easy to communicate with. Also, she is direct when necessary (in a nice way) that allows you and your wedding party to enjoy the process, but she does not make you spend endless hours posing for photos. Heather was an amazing part of our wedding day! She worked so well with the videographer, was so organized, and really helped the picture-taking part of the day go so smoothly! Prior to the wedding we got to spend time with her at our engagement shoot and got a feel of how she works and how her pictures turn out! It gave us great confidence in her! She met with us at our church too so that I felt confident about where to take pictures. So day of and before the wedding she was amazing!
Once we got the pictures back, we loved her even more (if that's possible)! She captured exactly what we wanted, and I love how she edited everything! I could not recommend her enough! Her husband as her second shooter was amazing too and had some great ideas about how to capture different perspectives! LOVE HEATHER SO MUCH! -

One of the best decision of the entire planning process!
I'm not sure how many can relate, but one of the things I was most terrified was the pictures with my husband during the whole planning process. He can be thee most awkward person to take pictures with and I was afraid how stiff we would look for our photos. Heather was a DREAM to work with. From our engagement to our wedding photos, you would think my husband was so photogenic because believe me, he is far from it! I loved how Heather took the time to really get to know us and how we interact with each other to be able to capture those beautiful moments. Her style in everything (details, lighting, edits) was definitely beyond what we'd imagined, without realizing that kind of stuff really does matter! We have reached out to so many photographers before we found Heather, and I would highly and strongly recommend to just start with her because it'll be one of the best & easiest decision you've ever made for your wedding -

Like many, I was very overwhelmed in selecting a photography vendor for my engagement and wedding. Not only was I am generally uncomfortable in front of the camera, I also wanted timeless shots that captured the emotion and joy of the day. With styles and trends moving so quickly, it is tough to select someone so far in advance of your event.
I'll admit, having had a few phone calls with various vendors...they all seemed to blur together and I was a bit lost on how to choose. Heather, however, was recommended to me by a few friends, and I am SO glad she is who we hired.
Not only did Heather check off all of the must haves for a photographer (responsive, engaging/supportive, talented etc.), she also went above and beyond to ensure my vision for my photos came to life. A week or so before the wedding, I stumbled upon/fell in love with a few photos that had a distinct style...slightly different than what I had seen in Heather's portfolio. I was nervous to ask her if these shots were something we would be able to accomplish - especially with it being so close to the wedding. Not only did she enthusiastically take on the request, she went as far as to order a new piece of equipment to help bring my vision to life. Needless to say she NAILED these shots, taking the examples I gave and making them our own. I also had specific feedback on things I like/do not like to see for wedding photos (i.e. prefer candids, do like the large dancing reception shots). She not only did not make feel like I was being too meticulous or picky, but she clearly listened to each of my preferences when shooting and editing my photos. I couldn't have asked for more.
Finally, Heather shot our ENTIRE day beautifully, with attention to detail and such a warm presence even during my most stressful and emotional moments. I anticipated walking away with a handful of favorites for prints etc.; however, I have a gallery of hundreds of photos that I cannot simply narrow it down!! Thank you Heather for capturing our most important day - we will cherish these photos for a lifetime! -

There aren't enough words to describe how much we love Heather! She was incredible, from start to finish. Because of COVID, we didn't get to meet Heather until our engagement photo shoot, but we immediately got along. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and the shots she got were amazing!
We had a planning calls to decide any specific shots we wanted and the timeline, and I honestly couldn't have gotten a timeline done without her!
On our wedding day, she kept us all on time. You will never see Heather, or her second shooter and husband, Chase, with their cameras down. They got shots that we never expected, because they see everything that's happening! Sweet candid moment between father and son? Captured. Flower girls running around and grabbing bride's dress? Got it. Lighting just right through some bushes? Fairytale photograph coming up! I want Heather to photograph all of my life; she's that good!

I could not recommend Heather more! We had such a great experience with her! Our engagment pictures came out beautiful! She made us feel so comfortable! Heather did such an amazing job for our wedding! Being a COVID bride, I had to change my date and Heather worked around her schedule to make our new date work! Fast forward to the wedding week and Heather had a freak accident that left her in the hospital during our wedding. Not only did she find a backup photographer, she made sure it was all handled before I even knew of her accident. Heather still handled all the editing of the photos and making sure the photographer captured the vision we discussed. She was SO quick in getting our images back to us and letting us relive the day again! She continued to stay in touch about timeline, newly uploaded pictures, etc. I would recommend her to anyone! -

It's hard to know where to even begin explaining how wonderful Heather and her husband, Chase, are. From the moment I booked her, Heather was highly responsive, professional (hello, beautiful welcome box complete with a detailed magazine and delicious cookies!), and made it evident that she was my biggest advocate throughout the planning process. When a timeline issue popped up the day before the wedding, she even went so far as to call all of the relevant vendors to advocate for the timeline my husband and I wanted and ensured everyone was on the same page. Her attention to detail was impeccable, and she prioritized everything my husband and I wanted. Bride + Groom photos were the most important for us, and Heather made sure time was carved out of the day for not one, not two, but THREE separate timeframes for my husband and me to take some shots of just the two of us. She kept me up to date during the editing process, and frequently sent some sneak peeks of her favorites. All of the photos she took for us are absolutely stunning and capture the day and all its details, emotions, and moments so perfectly. She started out as our wedding photographer, but ended up becoming a friend. We cannot recommend Heather and Chase enough! -

We used Heather for both our engagement photos and our wedding photos - this is definitely a choice that we do not regret! When we started prioritizing items for our wedding budget, photography as the top of our list. Ever since our first FaceTime with Heather, we have been thrilled that we chose her! For our engagement photos, Heather made us feel comfortable and relaxed. She has the best spirit and energy - it was an amazing experience! We got our engagement photos back so quickly and were obsessed with the results. From that day forward, Heather and I kept in pretty much constant contact - nothing too over the top, but just making sure we were on the same page about everything and changes that happened due to covid. For our wedding, Heather and Chase (her husband who is her second shooter - so cute!) were great! They are so well organized and efficient. They even handled corralling 4 kids who were 3 and under (ring bearers and flower girl) for family photos - what champs! Heather and Chase had the best attitudes - they got excited with us about things that we wanted to happen and capture at our wedding like a glow stick grand exit. We seriously could have not picked better people to have be a part of our special day. Working with Heather and Chase felt more like working with friends who you trusted with this great responsibility rather than like working with a stranger who you hoped could deliver on what you want. Heather was even sending me sneak peaks within 24 hours - I couldn't believe it! We cannot recommend Heather and Chase enough - they will make all of your wedding photo (and really any photo!) dreams come true! Thank you Heather and Chase for everything! -

We are so happy we used Heather and Chase for our wedding photography!! They have been so easy to work with from beginning to end. I was worried about communicating the style of photos we wanted, but Heather made it so easy for me to express my ideas. We also really appreciated that Heather was able to come to our wedding rehearsal on pretty short notice to check out the church and even snap a few pics. On the wedding day, they struck the perfect balance between directing us and listening to our ideas. We love the bright and happy, but still grand and dramatic (and flattering) photos of our wedding! Her post-wedding communication has also been lightning fast. Just 1 day after the wedding, Heather sent me an update on the photo status and even sent some preview pics!! I’m so happy with the responsiveness, flexibility, professionalism, and of course AMAZING PHOTOS by Heather & Chase and highly recommend them!! -

Absolutely Amazing!!
Heather & Chase are such a perfect team! I worked closely with Heather for nearly two years to make sure everything was perfect for our wedding day! From start to finish, Heather was responsive, and very detailed. We didn’t know exactly what we wanted, but loved the style of photography that they provided - so we decided to trust them & they did not disappoint! Not only did they get every little detail photographed on our wedding day, but they were able to create such a natural environment while taking the photos! A small review cannot capture how great they are at what they do. I would recommend to anyone! -

From our engagement session to our wedding, it felt natural to have them around. Heather and Chase Provide Perfect Photos!
I highly recommend Heather and her husband Chase. My husband and I can't get over the wonderful work of the two. Our engagement shoot with Heather was flawless. She makes you so comfortable in front of a camera to capture all the special moments. She knows exactly how to pose you and how to photograph the candid shots. Nothing is missed down to the minute details we will want to look back on in many years to come. Throughout our wedding planning process, Heather was there to answer questions and provide encouragement. She sat down with us to go over the timeline of the wedding and is so organized which is what you want on the day of the wedding! I felt completely confident in Heather which allowed me to enjoy the day with 0 stress! We were so thankful for her husband Chase. They work so well as a team and were able to capture the perfect angles, poses, and candids. My husband and I did not do a first look and I did a surprise father/daughter break out dance, so they were both able to capture the faces of everyone in the moment. Heather's turnaround time was incredible! She even sent us a few pictures while on our honeymoon to check in and let us reminisce on the perfect day! Many people will tell you the wedding will be a blur because of how fast the day goes. After experiencing this, I can tell you it is true, but their pictures were able to capture all these moments to piece together what we had forgotten. So perfectly taken, their pictures allow you to relive the emotions all over again. All my guests and family members are complimenting the wedding pictures. I am so thankful to have done my research to find Heather and Chase. They provided my husband and I with pictures we will forever cherish to remember our perfect day.

Prior to the wedding, we were in search of a reputable photographer in the area and we’re so happy we found Heather! She worked so well with us and made herself available to answer any questions we had! Not only was she there to answer questions regarding our wedding photography, but she made it clear that anything else I was questioning about our wedding, I could ask her and she’d help where it was needed. Heather was so kind and very personable and my husband and I loved spending time with her and her husband at our engagement shoot and wedding; the relationship we built over the months leading to the wedding made the anxieties I had subside completely! I also loved and appreciated that Heather incorporated mine and my husband’s ideas, which made our pictures much more fitted to our personalities.

I really loved working with Heather and Chase. They were highly professional, personable, and really tried to get to know my husband and I when we were working with them. They took a TON of pictures during the wedding, which I loved, and Heather really took her time editing to make sure that we were receiving pictures we would love for a life time. If you are specific in what you want to be captured for your engagements and on your big day, then they will deliver.
My biggest compliment I could give to this duo is to Heather's husband Chase, who acted as her second shooter. Chase in my opinion went absolutely above and beyond what I would have expected. He downloaded an app on his phone to be able to rent a Bird so he could get actions shots of the groomsmen and my husband who wanted to bird to the venue, he crouched in a puddle to illuminate my husband and I so that we could get stunning nighttime pictures with the skyline behind us, and was a perfect right hand man to Heather.
Heather loves the details, and really made me feel comforted on our big day. She was extremely patient, especially when I had a flower girl who loved getting her picture taken. And she eased my nerves when the groomsmen decided to scooter over to the venue. I would highly recommend this duo for capturing any big moments in your life. -
