Finding ChrisTina was a dream come true. She brought together the most unique and meaningful ceremony for our wedding in October that blended us as a couple with our love for nature and wanted to have a ceremony that felt bonding. She listened to everything we wanted and brought to life what we were imagining. She was easy to communicate with and responsive to our questions. She guided us through the whole process and came very prepared the day of. We got so many compliments on our wedding ceremony and it's uniqueness and how perfect is was for us as a couple! And all of those compliments were thanks to what ChrisTina brought to life for us! I will cherish that day and the memories forever. -

Christina was the perfect fit for our wedding which was non-denominational, very spiritual. She made us do our homework (and did hers!) and crafted the ceremony specifically to us. Incredibly special, she made sure to learn about our families and included everyone. Put in hours of her time with us both together and separately in the weeks leading up to our date. Crafted her alter specifically to fit with our color arrangement. She has packages to fit different price ranges. Would highly recommend Christina's services we feel quite lucky to have found her. Made sure our special day went off with a hitch if you'll pardon the pun. 10/10 -

More Than an Officiant, A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience
From the very beginning, ChrisTina made us feel seen, heard, and deeply understood. I’ve always struggled with feeling like I deserve big, meaningful moments, and after waiting so long for this wedding, the importance of it is hard for me to put into words. Somehow, she understood that without me ever having to explain it.
She poured so much love into our ceremony and into us as a couple. She listened intently, asked thoughtful questions, and truly took the time to know our story. She made the entire experience incredibly personal, spiritual, and intentional. One of the things that meant the most to me was how much she wanted to involve our children, it made our family feel honored and whole.
At our rehearsal dinner, ChrisTina did something I will remember for the rest of my life: she invited everyone there to share something special about us and our relationship. Hearing our loved ones take the time to speak about us so intentionally was incredibly moving and meant the world to me.
Even when we ran into complications and couldn’t get our marriage license in time due to ID issues, she went above and beyond. She met with us the day after the wedding to sign the paperwork, and then had us read our vows to each other again, privately, just the two of us. It was such a special, intimate moment, and I will treasure it forever.
ChrisTina is truly made for this work. While she may be an investment, she is 100% worth it. I would recommend her to anyone looking for an officiant who brings heart, depth, and genuine care into one of the most important moments of your life. -

Ceremony That is Truly Yours
We cannot exaggerate how wonderful ChrisTina was to work with. She was focused and thorough, but always human and in touch. We were seeking an "elopement" (that is, no guests; just the two of us) for what was the second wedding for both of us and we really wanted it to be meaningful to and memorable for us. ChrisTina created a ceremony that attained these goals completely.
She interviewed both of us separately and together, and had each of us complete a fairly intensive but valuable questionnaire. Through these interactions, she got to know us as individuals and as a couple, understanding who we were and why we were (and wanted to be) together. And the ceremony she created could not have reflected that any better.
We were married in Santa Fe's beautiful botanical garden on partly cloudy, blustery day in the early fall. The words ChrisTina said and beautiful altar and rituals she crafted were like a mirror reflecting back to us the couple we had become and hoped to be.
ChrisTina was amazing, period. Our recommendation of her is strong and unhesitating. -

Perfect wedding officiant
Christina at Heart's Crossing was the perfect wedding officiant. We wanted a ceremony that was an intergrative spiritual experience. Christina gave us that and more. My wife and I walked away from the alter buzzing with love. We were married and bound by our intentions, nature, the four elements, our attendees(which became active participants) and Christina—who orchestrated it all. She navigated through the chaos to bring us a calm, grounded ceremony. Many guests later said, "that was the most romantic wedding I've ever been to". Christina knew how to coax the romance and love out so it could be properly shown to our guests. We spent time prior discussing our life, love and relationship with Christina. She made sure she understood us and our relationship. She talked with our wedding party at the rehearsal to get an even deeper feel for us and our community. We felt seen the whole time. This and the exercises she recommended made the process leading up to the ceremony special. It felt ceremonial from the beginning to rehearsal to when we finally got married—it was like everything had been leading up to that moment.
My wife and I are happily married and will always look back on that day as a powerful, beautiful and, most importantly, fun day.
My one regret is not completing Christina's questionaire sooner so we could have worked with her a bit more. We were very busy and took much longer than we should have to complete it. Christina was very understanding and accommodating, however I wouldn't have minded some more check ins. This is on us and not her, however.
It was a reminder to take time out of wedding planning to reflect on and acknowledge our love—which is what Christina helped us do once we finished the questionnaire. She also used quotes from us in our ceremony which was a nice touch.
If you're getting married by Christina you're in good caring hands. She'll make the day magical for you, but also the wedding party and guests.

My husband and I were travelling to Santa Fe for our 10th wedding anniversary. During the planning of our trip, I decided I wanted to surprise him with a small and private vow renewal ceremony - just the two of us and an officiant. I had an idea of what I thought I wanted (outdoor, intimate, unique), but was really concerned about finding a wedding officiant. We didn't know a soul in Santa Fe; how much of a risk was I taking trying to find someone online?
I saw ChrisTina's webpage and was instantly intrigued. We connected by email and then by phone. I quickly realized that what she offered was so much more than I could have asked for. ChrisTina truly invests her time and emotion in getting to know you as individuals and as a couple and digs really deep to learn your story.
My husband and I spoke with her individually over Zoom several times, and both filled out a thought provoking questionnaire that we emailed to her. We met with her the day before the ceremony for appetizers and margaritas and KNEW beyond a doubt that we not only had found the perfect officiant, we had also made a very special friend.
I wasn't 100% sure what our ceremony would look like, which was fine by us. Both he and I wanted something different than the very traditional religious ceremony we were both used to and had given ChrisTina ideas of what we would like, but gave her the latitude to do whatever she felt would be appropriate. What she crafted for us was truly amazing. She had not only incorporated the elements we wanted, but also added other elements that she realized would be healing to us. For example, she started our ceremony with anointing us with oil and then a handwashing ritual that was beautiful and healing. What she wrote about each of us, based on both what she observed and the information provided by each partner, was one of the most touching and meaningful things anyone has ever said to me. she incorporated music, flowers, prayer, readings, and rituals in a beautiful setting.
As a person, ChrisTina is professional, polite, kind, and has the most peaceful and sweet spirit I've ever met. She invests not only her time, but also her creativity and emotion to give you more that what you could imagine.
My husband and I left Santa Fe closer than we've ever been, with a lot of healing, blessing, insight and appreciation for each other. Thank you, again, ChrisTina, for all the beauty and love you showed us both.

Our work with ChrisTina was life-changing. She was the best officiant we could have asked for. Our elopement and ceremony were handcrafted. ChrisTina's approach and questions were thoughtful. Upon our first meeting, we knew we were in good hands. I had the pleasure of being a Covid Bride, ChrisTina stayed with us through the twists and turns of wedding planning. She facilitated our beautiful elopement in White Sands and, eventually, our ceremony at the Pecos Mission Ruins. Our wedding was rescheduled three times. Due to the fires in Northern NM, we almost lost our venue. ChrisTina traveled throughout the state with us. Her calm energy kept us grounded. Our vows were perfect, and the altar design was beyond lovely. She is a truly beautiful soul and probably one of the most amazing people I've ever met. ChrisTina's energy and presence moved every person at our ceremony. Our lives are forever changed. -

It will be impossible for this review to do justice about how incredible Christina was as our officiant. We live in CA, but wanted to marry in Santa Fe and searched for the perfect fit to unite us. We wanted a Native New Mexican who embodied all of the aspects we love about Santa Fe. Christina was so much more than we ever could have imagined.
She met with us on zoom and then in person a couple days before our wedding. She had us fill out questionnaires in order to get to know us better. We met her for a margarita to discuss in person and it was clear that she is one of the most kind and genuine people I have ever met. She exudes peace and it is apparent her business is much more about passion than it is about money.
We didn’t preview what she had written before the ceremony and I was absolutely blown away with how special she made it. She put so much time, care, and love into her writing. It was spiritual, loving, and humorous. She captured the best of what we had both answered in our questionnaires and made it so much more beautiful and special. Several people told me it was the most special ceremony they had ever witnessed. There was certainly not a dry eye in the house!
She performed the earth, fire, water, and wind package and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
Also, we did not have a wedding planner and didn’t do a rehearsal. Christina came early to decorate and set up and not only organized us as we came out, but she gave us a mini speech to calm our nerves - especially mine. You will not be disappointed. I recommend her with the highest regards, 100 out of 5 stars. -

An Unforgetable Wedding Renewal
I wish everyone who is reading this could have seen our ceremony. ChrisTina did a beautiful ceremony; laughing, crying, kissing, dancing, and such precious moments she added. My husband IS NOT romantic or sentimental, this was a surprise renewal, and he cried so much during the ceremony. I hope you choose ChrisTina, you will not be disappointed. Her energy is unmatched creating a ceremony that was flawless. She incorporated all aspects of our journey and love story to really personalize our day. We enjoyed meeting with her multiple times with and without our partners to discuss our story. She created a safe environment to share intimate and personal stories about each other. She wove all of those bits and pieces together to create the most wonderful and thought out ceremony that surpassed all expectations. The one compliment we received over and over from every guest was how beautiful our ceremony was. She seamlessly brought our lives full circle and made our guests feel so included in our partnership. It was magical to say the least.
I also forgot my vows in the room and ChrisTina had a copy for me that totally saved me.

HANDS DOWN the best officiant in the whole world!
Where do I even start about how amazing Christina was? When searching for an officiant for our elopement, we didn't even know that we needed an officiant as talented, caring, intuitive as Christina. We originally thought we needed someone to "just marry us". But once we chatted with Christina, we realized we wanted soooo much more than that. She presented to us a total experience. We had about 4 chats with her before the actual ceremony (including one margarita meet-up), and it felt like a therapy couples session (in a great way!). She really got to know us, and we feel that she did more work writing our script and interviewing us (both together and separate) than most people would prepare for a job interview! She helped ground us before we said I do, and helped us transition into marriage. We couldn't recommend her enough, and hope to keep in in our lives forever. Everyone MUST use Christina for their wedding! -

Caring and Thoughtful
ChrisTina was helpful to us in every way! She tuned in to what we needed in order to have a meaningful intimate ceremony and delivered beyond all expectations. We had a very small ceremony ( just the two of us). The ceremony was spontaneous and flowed with the weather, meaning I wanted the water element to be a part of our ceremony and we had rain shower delivered during a drought, right on top of us! It was beautiful! She was able to celebrate the water with us! Taking it all in stride. ChrisTina creates a masterpiece of a ceremony, incorporating many valuable elements as well as full engaging spiritually. She calls forth love and compassion to unions in a big-hearted way. She a gracious, gifted and a wonderful woman. We feel like the Universe really blessed us with her. -

Fletcher Sent on 08/18/2018Every so often, maybe once or twice in a lifetime, you meet someone who sees your intention, meets it, and helps you to realize it. ChrisTina is just such a person.
She showed a genuine love and interest in each of us as individuals and as a couple. Her careful attention to the details of our lives made a big difference in the ceremony to follow.
In preparation for our wedding, we met several times and the pace was always unhurried and relaxed. She asked us thoughtful questions such as what qualities we most admired in each other, what things one would do that always made the other laugh, and what emotions we would like people to take away from the ceremony. She asked of our family’s traditions and she explored with us ways we might use those traditions to honor our parents, grandparents, and ancestors. She specifically asked which cultural or faith traditions we wished to include. I told her that we wanted our guests to feel like they mattered, that we were all a single organism and that our wish was to hold each other in a place of love and security. She got that. She was respectful, attentive, and through her compassionate curiosity, I felt more able to access the best parts of myself.
When I told her that my favorite poet was Rumi and my favorite performer was the baseball player Edgar Martinez (no flash, just playing the game for the love of the sport), she understood the connection between these two artists. She had valuable suggestions for the ceremony that were in keeping with our desires. Her ideas were innovative and adaptive to the landscape in which we held our outdoor wedding.
During the ceremony she was respectful while still encouraging laughter and poised while still embracing spontaneity and a sense of fun. It is a rare thing that any one person can embrace all these qualities and feel blessed that even now, she walks with us on our journey together as newlyweds. -

Right away we could tell she was passionate about her work and her curiosity about us was genuine. She was unlike any of the other officiants we spoke to! She straight away was tuned into us and what we wanted, she took the time to get to know us, truly, and our story. Her unique background was heaven sent for me, as I had a lot of grief that I didn't know I needed to process in order to make room for this happiest of days. Sensing my needs, she helped me get clarity, comfort and helped ground me in the present to prepare me for life going forward. My husband immediately liked her, which is saying a lot since he is such a skeptic, but she warmed his heart and set his mind at ease. We trusted her right away and she never let us down.
The ceremony was powerful and beautiful. She wove our lives and our dreams into a song never to be repeated. She had to battle gale force winds, technical failures, and delays but overcame them and helped us be still in the chaos. Reminding us of why we were there and showing us that nothing else mattered. Our guests raved about the ceremony and were so excited and honored to have been part of it. It's as if she taps into the energy of everyone there and uses that energy to forge the union.
So much of our experience with ChrisTina was felt on a deep level and it's difficult to put into words the energy and love she brings to her work. We were greatly blessed to have her as our celebrant and our guide on this incredible day. We love you, ChrisTina!!!!Hearts Crossing's reply:

If you choose the celebrant we did for our wedding, ChrisTina Maestas-Simek, you will both be guided through an infinitely memorable ceremony fitting to your union. ChrisTina will follow and join the two of you together with inspiring beauty, filling your celebration with purposeful, community-oriented, especially-tailored rituals. This was a second marriage for Fletch and me. ChrisTina created a brilliant way to have our adult children walk in ahead of us to the ceremony spot. She provided vessels for earth, water, and rose petals (earth-centered spiritual blessings were important to us.) She included into her words: our elders, our passed on loved ones, the meaning of the Fuzhou Ting at the Chinese Reconciliation Park in Tacoma, Washington we chose as our venue. She led a hand fasting and special vows, weaving all along the way, our love story. It was a joy to witness; we continually hear this from everyone who was there. We felt deeply anointed and charged with a forever love because of her careful, intentional hand. Where to begin.... We came up with the unusual idea of climbing a Jemez mountain peak for our vow exchange. ChrisTina was totally on board! From an idea, turned into a plan, next thing I know we were climbing this mountain together for the first time taking notes and doing a step by step of how this ceremony will play out. Because we did not choose a conventional or religious wedding ChrisTina had deep conversations with us to get to know us and what our true values were. I loved that she exposed our inner feelings and used this to produce a unique, amazing, beautiful ceremony. I can’t put into words how incredibly spiritual this ceremony was! ChrisTina put so much thought into each word, each gesture and each moment! Our ceremony included a combination of interfaith, civil, non-denomination and religious ceremonies within this single experience. With all of us being such open people we embraced all her ideas and she embraced all of ours! Our wedding ceremony was better than either of us could ever have imagined. All of our guests were in awe and commented on how beautiful the ceremony was. We cannot thank you enough for your services! We were SO lucky to find you!

Camilo Sent on 02/12/2018Life has a funny way of bringing people together. My husband and I currently live in Pennsylvania but decided to get married in Santa Fe, where I am from originally. This posed some obvious issues when it came to planning and finding an officiant. Our initial online search from PA led to us to another officiant who was busy our wedding weekend but she recommended Hearts Crossing and ChrisTina, and we were so happy she did!
We instantly knew during our first phone call with ChrisTina that she was the one we wanted to marry us. Even though we were talking to her for the first time, we felt like she cared about us as a couple and as people. The ceremony she described was tailored just for us and she delivered on her promises. We wanted our guests to feel emotion and celebration and she designed an outdoor summer ceremony that infused natural elements in an elegant way. We are not necessarily religious but some of our older guests are and she created several readings that were spiritual and tasteful. At points there were no dry eyes in our audience and at the end, I felt the rush of celebration from our guests as she announced us as a couple.
ChrisTina went above and beyond. She took the time to meet with us several times and get to know us and our families, which I thought was a nice touch. She even inspired and help create our table center pieces that continued her message into our reception. Since we were from out of town, she even directed us to some of the things we needed for our reception.
If we had to do it all over again, there is not a single thing I would change. I highly recommend her. -

I meet her on an Airplane flying home a few months before our wedding we started talking and she told me she had just got her license to marry couples. I felt a connection to her as soon I meet her and felt she would be the best to marry us. Her sincerity and overall welcoming demeanor made us at ease about planning the wedding with her. We did not plan our own vows. So we left it up to here to come up with the words for the wedding. It was perfect. All of the paperwork was organized and ready for us to review and sign just prior to the ceremony and it was a big help that she took care of everything: license, marriage certificate, ceremony table.
