You did an incredible job with the photography and videography at our wedding. The pictures were everything we had hoped for and more. I don't know how we will narrow it down for the pictures we want in our album you will make for us. The video was priceless. Memories for a lifetime.

Heartland Weddings did an amazing job of photographing our wedding and reception. Our photographer Jessica made the whole process of taking all of the posed pictures painless. She made sure everybody knew when and where to be and got it done quickly, much to everyone's delight. She also captured perfect candid shots of nearly everyone who attended. We love our pictures and we enjoyed working with and getting to know Jessica.

We hired Heartland Weddings for our photography & videographer. Couldn't be happier with our choice. They were professional yet fun, fast yet thorough, experienced yet listened to all of our ideas. Our pictures are perfect. My wife is ecstatic so I'm a happy husband. The video is great. They captured so much that we never even knew happened. It made us laugh and it made us cry. Nancy from Heartland Weddings was the photographer at my wedding 22 years ago. She did such an amazing job that 22 years later, while planning my daughter's wedding, we knew that if she was still in business she would be the one. To our delight, we found Heartland Weddings right away. We met with Nancy & she showed my daughter many different albums, slideshows and other examples of her work. Boy have things changed in the last 22 years. I love & cherish my wedding album but these new albums available today are a work of art. However, the album can only be as good as the pictures themselves. We could only imagine how Nancy's skill has grown in all this time. We were not disappointed. She was wonderful at the wedding putting everyone at ease . She directed the whole picture taking process and we were through in no time. We picked up the wedding album this morning and my daughter's tears of joy were all this mother could ask for. 2 generations of satisfied clients. Going to stick around Nancy and go for a 3rd?

Just picked up our wedding album from our photographer Nancy at Heartland Weddings & I am so freakin' happy all I could do was cry for 2 hours while I looked thru over & over again. I am so glad I didn't listen to the people who kept telling me to save the money & not hire a photographer. To just have the guests take pics with their phones & cameras & email them to us. Then make an album at Walgreen's or on Shutterfly. There is no way we would have ended up with anything this beautiful.

Heartland Weddings did the photography & videography for my cousin’s wedding in Kansas City. My fiance and I were so impressed with their work that we wanted to hire Nancy & Jane to do our wedding in Beresford, South Dakota. I wasn’t taking no for an answer so luckily they were up for a road trip. By the time the weekend was over they were part of the family. Our wedding album & video turned out so incredibly well. I thank God that we hired Heartland Weddings because 3 months after our wedding, my husband passed away. The pictures, the album & the video are priceless. Nancy & Jane delivered them when they returned to South Dakota for the funeral. That’s something money just can’t buy.

Our photographer Jessica from Heartland Weddings was an absolute angel. We were running very behind schedule because our makeup person was a no show & our car had a flat tire. Jessica was at the church when we finally arrived & she jumped right in to help in any way she could. She was pinning on boutonnieres, hanging flowers on the end of the pews, lacing up the back of my dress and helping my grandma apply her lipstick. When we were finally ready to begin pictures she took charge & got us through it in no time. We just saw the pictures & they were perfect. Like I said she is an angel.

Next to picking out my wedding dress, the hardest thing to decide on was the photographer for our wedding. The pictures and the video would be our life long connection to all the memories of our wedding. We researched, met with & interviewed dozens of photographers. it wasn't until we found Heartland Weddings that we knew without a doubt we had found our photographer and videographer. We met with Nancy & Jessica & they were honest, straightforward, down to earth and very reasonable. Well we were right to follow our gut instinct because our pictures & video are absolutely amazing. They did the best job ever.

Thank you Rev Nancy for being able to put a ceremony together for us in just 2 hours. We didn't think there was any way it could be done before my fiance's father had to get on a plane for Mexico. It's nice to know that last minute or spur of the moment plans can be accommodated by someone like yourself. You will never know what you gave to us when you officiated our ceremony and took the pictures so we would remember this day always.

We were so lucky to find Rev. Nancy after we found out that we couldn't get married at the Independence Courthouse by a judge. We were disappointed and walking around the Square when we overheard a conversation about a new wedding chapel going in there. We stopped to inquire. This is how we met Rev. Nancy and hired her on the spot to officiate or ceremony and also do the photography. She did a wonderful job with both. That was done good karma we had that day.

Rev. Nancy made our private little ceremony for 2 a near perfect experience. She was almost as excited as we were and her personality just really clicked with us. It was almost like being married by a family member. She made it as grand as a large, expensive wedding for us. The only thing she couldn't seem to do was prevent the bird from pooping on me right after the first kiss. They say it's good luck..... Thanks for everything Rev. Nancy

We just got our wedding album and all we can say is that Nancy at Heartland Weddings is a genius photographer. Our minds were blown when we saw our pictures. Loved them all. We went to the Independence courthouse to get our marriage license. We then wanted to arrange for a judge to marry us the following weekend. To our surprise we were told that you can no longer be married at the courthouse by a judge. We did some research and found Heartland Weddings/KCWeddings 2 go. We were able to book Rev. Nancy for the following weekend. We just needed to figure out where we wanted to do it. Rev. Nancy had a lot of great ideas and we decided to get married during a horsedrawn carriage ride on The Plaza. Couldn't have been more intimate, romantic, beautiful...perfect. Too bad your wedding chapel was open yet on the Independence Square Rev. Nancy. That would have been great too. Maybe we will get in touch with you to renew our vows in your new Chapel in a few years.

Heartland Weddings was our photographer for our wedding at Powell Gardens. Our pictures are PHENOMINAL. She got every picture we wanted and then some. Every grouping we requested, every action shot from both the ceremony and reception, every candid shot we ever could want from the entire day. The day after I became engaged, I called my sister in California and told her and asked her to be my maid of honor. She informed me that she just got a job transfer to Japan and would be leaving within 3 weeks so if I wanted her in the wedding we were going to have to throw it together fast. We were not planning on having an extravagant affair but 3 weeks? I found Heartland Weddings Chapel and Photography on google and this angel named Nancy said not to worry, it could be done. It was one stop shopping. She was our officiant, out florist and our photographer. She told us to pick the place and she would take care of the rest. We had our ceremony at my grandparents farm on a beautiful fall day and the best part was that my sister was there standing right beside me.

My fiancé & I went to the courthouse in Independence to get a marriage license & we thought we were going to just get married by a judge there at the courthouse once we had it. We were informed that in Missouri, you can no longer be married by a judge in a courthouse. What? We went outside & did a google search on officiant’s & the first one on the list was Heartland Weddings. We gave them a call & talked to Rev. Nancy. She met us at the courthouse 15 minutes later & went in with us and got our marriage license right away. Fifteen minutes after that, we were married by Rev. Nancy under a tree in a nearby park. I kid you not, 30 minutes & she had it done. She was awesome. Made it very special & meaningful even on such short notice. Fantastic company.

Do you know how amazing it was to find someone to officiate our ceremony and do the photography for our St. Patty's day wedding during the parade? We found out the hard way that you can no longer be married at the Jackson County courthouse by a judge. Who knew? So 2 days before St. Patty's day we decided we wanted to be married during the St. Patrick's Day Parade. Never in a million years did we think we could find someone to perform that ceremony let alone take some pictures and most of all be the coolest reverend in the world and made St. Patty's day even more fun. KC Weddings 2 Go did all that for us.

We hired Heartland Weddings to do the photography and videography for our wedding on March 18, 2016 after months of interviewing photographers in Kansas City. I think this was the 9 photography studio we met with and we were plenty discouraged at this point. I think they could sense our frustration when we arrived but within 10 minutes we were relaxed and at ease and actually enjoying ourselves. We met with owner Nancy and one of her photographers Jessica and her videographer Mary. We could tell instantly that they were for real and we were more than just a sale to them and they were generally interested on what we wanted and how they could make that happen. We signed a contract that day and gave our deposit and they took care of the rest. They are professionals and they delivered on every thing they said they would. Jessica was our photographer and she ran things like a well oiled a machine. Our formal pictures were done in know time and we could get onto enjoying our big day. We received our cd of images a couple of days ago and the pictures were everything we hoped for and more. I can't wait to start on the template for our wedding album. Our video was fantastic. We just watched it and I was so happy that I had to jump on line and start writing reviews so everyone who reads this will consider Heartland Weddings when it comes time to book a photographer and/or videographer. The last thing I will say is that the prices were so reasonable that you will think you have won the wedding lottery.

After meeting with the owner Nancy for the first time we were pretty confident in our decision to go with Heartland Weddings. Everything she showed us of their work there was absolutely beautiful and just what we wanted. There was no pressure to spend more money or buy bigger packages for add photographers or more time. We told her what we wanted and that's exactly what we got on the day of our wedding. Our photographer Jessica was so much fun and made it all run so smoothly. I am the mother of the bride who found herself halfway across the world for my job and because of circumstances that could not be helped, prevented or changed, I was unable to be there at her wedding. The disappointment and sadness was almost unbearable. After her wedding day was over, many family members and friends sent picture texts and even mailed prints. But I just could not feel all of the amazing love and joy that occurred that day. It wasn’t until a package arrived containing the gorgeous wedding album they had ordered for me and a dvd containing their wedding video that I actually felt like I was there and could truly appreciate and feel like part of my daughter’s beautiful wedding day. Oh they did very well when they chose Heartland Weddings to provide the photography and videography. The album was so beautiful, the pictures leapt off the page and made me feel as though I was there. She even incorporated a few pictures of me into the album so I felt like I really was a part of the entire day. And when I watched the video, I was transported there. I cried and laughed and no longer felt sorry for myself. Everyone did a wonderful job helping out my daughter make all of her dreams come true. And although I would have rather been there in person, thanks Heartland Weddings I almost feel as though I was.

I am 46 years old and was embarking on my 3rd marriage. I had already had my big fancy wedding the first time around. The 2nd marriage was at the courthouse with a justice of the peace. However, for my groom, this was going to be his first marriage and first wedding. Although he said he didn’t need a big wedding, I thought maybe his mother and other family members did want that for him or for themselves. He definitely didn’t want to get married at the courthouse. So we started to plan an intimate wedding that would hopefully appease everyone involved. We did a lot of shopping around for various vendors but before we signed any contracts we switched everything up. We decided to take everyone to Branson to get married at our friends time share right by Table Rock Lake. Out of all the vendors we thought we were going to hire, the only one who was willing to jump on board and go with us to Branson was Heartland Weddings. When we met with the owner to sign the contract we found out that she also is a licensed officiant and could actually perform our ceremony. Oh that’s not all. She also could provide the photography and the flowers. She showed us her other website KCWeddings2go.com that showed all of these services. So be booked her for everything she could provide and we were not sorry. She travelled to Branson and she added so much to our special day. Couldn’t have been happier or asked for more.

My daughter was married in October 2015. After meeting with probably a dozen photographers, we finally found Heartland Weddings. I’m old school and I like to have something in my hands to feel and look through. So not only did they have slideshows and digital images to show my daughter and future son-in-law, but they also had a wide variety of albums that I could look at and appreciate. I was able to look at a variety in all price ranges and styles. They custom made a package just for us. My daughter was just interested in a cd of her hi-resolution images so she could do whatever she wanted with them. I was able to get a beautiful hardcover album with the images we chose printed on the cover. Best of all we got to chose which images we wanted in the album by filling out a simple template and then they did the design. The price was so reasonable that both myself and the grooms mother were able to each get our own. They also included a video in our package. My daughter wanted a short highlight video and I wanted every second captured by the video camera. We were able to get both. The package they made for us, with all that I have mentioned plus 8 hours of coverage and a session for engagement photos was still way below what the other photographers quoted us and we wouldn’t have gotten nearly as much for our money. Also if the grandparents, or even my daughter decide later on that they would like an album of their own, we can order one. Thank you Heartland Weddings for remembering some of us older generation that still like to have something we want to show off to our family and friends or display proudly in our homes.

I just received my wedding album and video from Heartland Weddings. The album is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. We chose the Photographic Panoramic album and it is breathtaking. It was very hard to narrow down what pictures we wanted in our album from so many wonderful ones. The finished product though exceeded our expectations. Each page captured the happiness, the spirit of the day, the joy and the love…every single emotion from that day. I don’t know how 2-dimentional images can do that but they made it happen. Last weekend we invited the entire wedding party and our families over to preview the video and we cried, we laughed and I saw so many things I don’t even remember happening at our wedding. I guess we were so busy that we missed so much of what went on around us. But we were able to see it all on this amazing video. It is the greatest gift ever. Heartland Weddings thank you for delivering everything you promised and so much more.

I was married on September 5, 2015. I wanted to wait until I got my wedding album and wedding video before I wrote my review on Heartland Weddings. First of all, our photographer Jessica was amazing on the day of our wedding. Professional, fun, kept us all organized so we didn’t have to spend hours and hours taking pictures. Once I received me cd of images and saw her pictures I knew we absolutely made the right choice in photographers. The formal pictures were beautiful and my favortites were the candid photos she took throughout it all. They just captured the essence of us, all of our friends and family. There were so many good pictures to chose from I had a very hard time narrowing down which ones I wanted for my album. I finally got it completed. We received our album a couple of weeks ago and it was so beautiful. We will treasure this forever. We have decided to wait and watch our video on our first anniversary. My daughter and son-in-law are getting married at Powell Gardens in May 2016. When we toured the chapel I thought it was breathtakingly beautiful, romantic and intimate but with all that glass and the bright sun streaming in, I had no idea how any photographer could take beautiful pictures under those conditions. Heartland Weddings was on the preferred vendor list at Powell so we all met with Nancy and bombarded her with all of our questions. Well she put her money where her mouth was when she pulled out numerous albums and slideshows of several of the weddings she has shot in the chapel and they were magical. I imagine her 30 year experience has something to do with it. She was so kind and spent hours with us discussing all aspects of the wedding plans. We left there not only empowered with knowledge about so many ins & outs of all that Powell Gardens has to offer but also with a photographer and videographer that we know will give us beautiful memories in the end. This mother is so very grateful. Also delighted that her prices were very reasonable and I didn’t mind signing that check in the least. I just wanted to give a shout out to Heartland Weddings for providing the most talented, professional, organized, take charge and downright fun photographer we could have ever hired. This was the one and only thing my fiancé put me in charge of, hiring the photographger. Thanks to Heartland Weddings, I’ve got brownie points for years to come with my wife, my mother and my mother-in-law. Because of all her experience, she knew how to take charge of getting everybody where they need to be to get all of the pictures that we wanted and some that we didn’t even know we wanted. It was a well-oiled machine and all the guys involved in the picture process were so thankful that it was quick and painless. The best part, we just got a look at our images and they were FANTASTIC!! My wife is thrilled and now if she can ever narrow it down to pick the images for our album, I’m sure that will be fantastic as well. To all you grooms out there, do yourself a favor and take charge of booking the photographer and then give Heartland Weddings a call. You will be rewarded in more ways than one.

Who gets married in December in Missouri besides us? But thanks to Nancy from Heartland Weddings you would never know from our photos that it was the middle of winter and very cold. She had amazing ideas of where we could shoot the majority of our pics before the ceremony. She went to 4 locations with us just to get me the type of photos I wanted even though it was winter. And the photos are absolutely gorgeous. And with 4 locations, the ceremony at the church and the reception her pricing was still below most of the other photographers we checked out and that was just for 1 location. She was fast, knowledgeable and fun. This lady knows her craft. I highly recommend heartland weddings and Nancy.

My new wife insisted that I write a testimonial for Heartland Weddings who did the photography and videography at our wedding and reception on September 19, 2015. I told my wife I would be happy to write about our experience with Nancy Kerr and Heartland Weddings. To sum it up in one word….perfection. We are just a middle class couple who were paying for our wedding and reception all on our own. We met with a couple of other photographers before we found Nancy and what they wanted to charge us for the images and 4 hours of their time was nearly 4x the amount we had budgeted for photography. When we found Nancy at Heartland Weddings we found the answer to our prayers and our budget. For half the price of the other photographers we had met with we got twice the time, all of our images and a video. Amazingly she is a professional who has been doing this for years. She is a master of her craft. There are no do overs in wedding photography. You have to get it right the first time and that is exactly what she did. Probably the best part about hiring Nancy is how easy and fun it was to be around her. I know that myself and all of my groomsmen were not looking forward to the picture taking part of the day. But Nancy made it fun and fast and painless. We were cracking up and she got the most amazing candid pictures as well as the posed ones. Her images of the reception are legendary and will be used to provide years of blackmail and laughter. Every crazy fun thing that happened was caught by the photographer and videographer. Our pictures and video are the greatest gifts that we have from that day. Thank you Nancy for delivering everything you promised and for adding to the fun and perfection of our wedding day. Most of all, thank you for making my wife happy.

When it came to choosing a photographer for our wedding we put in a lot of time and research. All of our effort paid off when we decided on Nancy from Heartland Weddings. Bottom line, her pictures turned out gorgeous and her prices are so reasonable. It turns out she was a lot of fun to work with. She got all of our pictures done so quickly because she let everyone know ahead of time how it was going to work, that we got to our reception on time and did not keep all of our guests waiting. We had the best wedding day ever and thanks to Nancy we have the pictures to prove it.

I don’t even know where to begin talking about how amazing Heartland Weddings and photographer Nancy Kerr was on my wedding day. First of all, I was living in Iowa when I was trying to plan my wedding which was in Kansas City. From the first call I had with Nancy she assured me this was and to relax she would handle everything. I was doubtful at first but when she agreed to travel 210 miles to meet with me in person for our initial consultation, I became hopeful. When she actually arrived bringing along all kinds of samples of her work and services, I became a believer. After spending 5 minutes with her, I knew I was in good hands and I knew I had found my photographer and videographer. She customized a package for me that gave me all that my heart desired and that our budget could afford.
On the day of the wedding she was there and waiting and she took away all of my anxiety with her calming yet get ‘r done personality. It was like a well oiled machine. All of the wedding party, family, and friends who were to be part of the photographs new exactly what was going to happen and when. We didn’t get held up because someone ran to the bathroom. She took every picture that I had imagined that I wanted plus 100 more that I had never even thought of. Nobody was stressed out after taking all the pictures. The ceremony was perfect. Nancy took the time to know my husband and I so the ceremony was personal and touching and even funny at times. I couldn’t have asked for more nor changed a thing.
At the reception, everything flowed smoothly as Nancy worked with our dj (which she recommended to us) worked together to get all the “have to’s” done. She captured all of the big moments of our reception as well as the personal, touching, funny and crazy ones. It was the best day of my life and Nancy had a big part in making it happen.
When I saw the images and the video I cried from pure joy. They were perfect.

Nancy Kerr from Heartland Weddings was our photographer for our wedding on October 24, 2015. We met with several photographers before we finally found Nancy. We couldn’t really put our finger on why we didn’t book any of those other photographers until we met Nancy. It’s called personality and sincerity. Nancy was like sitting down with an old friend versus a car salesman trying to meet their quota at the end of the month. We instantly relaxed and started to enjoy ourselves when we discovered there would be no high pressure sales tactics used and that she was sincerely interested in what we wanted and not how she could manipulate our wishes into the most expensive or one size fits all packages that the other photographers we met with tried to do. She was so patient and spent hours with us showing us samples of her work, from photos, slideshows, videos, and beautiful wedding albums. We knew before we left that she would be our photographer but we wanted to talk it over when we got home. Nancy gave us a contract to take with us and told us if we had any questions to call her anytime. We made it 3 blocks before we turned around and went back. We signed the contract and gave the deposit and the deal was done. Nancy delivered on every promise she made to us and exceeded our expectations. Our images were perfect. She captured every important, special and fun moment of our magical day. The day goes by so quickly and we were so busy that we felt like we missed out on a lot of what actually went on with our guests. When we saw our pictures and watched our video it was like seeing everything for the first time. We were able to see everything we missed. Most importantly we could see how much fun our family and friends were having . And we have for eternity how happy and in love we were on that day. Her pictures captured not only the moment but the feelings that went with it. Priceless!!

I can't say enough positive things about Nancy. She has a knack for capturing images at the perfect moment. This isn't just from a couple of pictures but from all 300+ amazing pictures we had to pick from. Everyone looked fantastic. The range and quality of shots were just impeccable. Extremely professional, very easy to work with and uncompromising artists. You WILL get beautiful photographs if you use Heartland Weddings Photography. They were our choice for our wedding and from day one I was not disappointed. This is not just about someone coming out with a camera and shooting pictures, this is about professionals that have been in the business for many years (for obvious reasons) that know how to work with you and any venue you choose (this is an important thing) and have the artistic talent to capture "that" shot over and over again.

I see that there aren't a lot of guys that write reviews on here so I thought I write one to boost our male presence! So we met with 6 different photographers in the last 2 months and wow, what an eye opening experience that was! The first six photographers if that's what you could call them had us meet at Panera Bread or Starbucks! Not even one of them came with an actual wedding photo album! Just there little ipad! And a lot of promises! I checked out each one of them and not even one of them were listed with the BBB(better business bureau). That blew my mind! How can they even claim to be professionals when they aren't even registered as a bonafide business! Well onto the reason for my writing this review, We finally met with Nancy Kerr owner of Heartland Wedding & Event Photography! And thank Goodness for her and her fabulous studio/gallery where we met and knew instantly she was the one for us! Her relaxed style, impeccable work and professionalism sold us immediately! We signed the contract 10 minutes after we arrived to her studio! I recommend her to everyone I talk to about our wedding. She has since then taken our winter engagement photos and they were terrific! We can't wait till our big day! So moral of this story, get a bonafide true professional, check them out everywhere or else you might end up being taken!

Heartland Weddings recently shot our big day and our images are so fantastic! They also did video for us and we already have everything we purchased from them. They were very professional and kept the party going with their easy going style! We had a very large wedding party and needed a lot of guidance and they knew exactly how to balance out the picture taking process and letting us just have fun! We highly recommend them to everyone!

She didn't respond to calls or emails very quickly, but when she did she was very helpful and professional. I think she just over booked herself. She always seemed to be out of town. Before we chose her she was very quick to respond and call to set up meetings, but once we set a contract she wasn't. She was very nice and took wonderful pictures, so what else could we ask for!

As much as I loved our wedding day I was very disappointed over all with the service. We paid for videography, pictures and 3 hours for our service. During our ceremony and vows the pastors phone went off throughout the entire ceremony. We have 5 kids between myself and my husband. Only my daughter was brought up in vows into the ceremony by the pastor it made it extremely awkward for my husbands children. Another gal was supposed to show up and help our pastor with set up and photos but she couldn’t make it.... so during our ceremony our pastor would stop everything and take a photo. As much as I appreciate the effort we paid a lot of money and the photos all (147) were done when they could be and I reminded them 3 weeks after the wedding about them and when we did drive all the way back out to the chapel for the usb stick the gal that did “edit” them then texted us to let us know she had just done them that morning and she usually edits so she hopes ours turned out “ok”. There are some great photos but to be honest the ones my husbands mother took on her iPhone 7 are better than our professional ones. Overall displeased with what we spent for the service we got.
