  Amazing DJ

  My husband and I had a great experience working with Adam. He was super responsive and just a nice person to deal with. We had a mix of ages and cultures at our wedding and really wanted to make sure everyone had a great time and heard music they loved. Without much direction from us beyond that general idea and a couple of "do not plays", Adam absolutely nailed it. Everyone was on the dance floor the whole night, and 3 years later people still tell me how great the music at our wedding was. I would recommend Heart Beats NYC to anyone that wants great music at their wedding.

  Truly listens and delivers a personalized experience

  My husband and I are in the airport en route to our honeymoon, and we wanted to give Adam the most heartfelt thank you for such an amazing time at our wedding. We have gotten so many compliments about the music selection, and most importantly, we just had so much fun! He really nailed it and we felt that our music tastes were really taken into account and reflected in the party. It couldn't have been better! As one person there commented about the songs in the middle of one of the dance sets "THERE ARE NO DUDS!" :)

  What can I say? Just Wow!

  We had great expectations about what our evening would feel like when first meeting with Adam. He immediately put us at ease, and made us feel comfortable that our music tastes were completely unique and not easily substitutable with music from other couples' weddings. Seems this happens a lot from attending friends' weddings.
  
  We kept updating our song list until literally the night before the wedding, and Adam was super accommodating. He even had a handful of amazing suggestions when we came up short for songs for our special dances. I know I can be extremely meticulous and annoying LOL, but he really put us at ease. Stress-free all the way.
  
  When it came to the night of, Whoa! I haven't seen my family burn up a dance floor like that... EVER! Some our friends can be a little particular when it comes to music. But we did not have one single complaint, everyone was dancing from start to finish. Even during the dinner segments, couples couldn't help getting on the dance floor. And group sing alongs were breaking out at tables! For our dancing segments, I just think it was really amazing how Adam was able to keep all ages on the dance floor without "burning out" any genre in particular. Hire Heart Beats NYC if they have availability!!! You will not be disappointed.

  Awesome Experience

  Adam was so easy to work with. He played a wide range of music that kept everyone on the dance floor, young and old. Most importantly, Adam made sure to seamlessly incorporate all the songs on our "must play" list. Even the songs that you don't traditionally hear at a wedding. He was fantastic.

  100% Totally Recommend!

  Adam absolutely crushed it! He managed the ceremony audio as well as the crazy party tunes (and everything in between). Kept the party rocking honestly until the last second... and even played a little encore for us! The dance floor was packed for 5 hours straight!
  
  After a quick, super personable coffee meeting, he really got to know us and customized the playlist to our liking, from classic wedding tunes to bumping reggaeton... he really nailed it.
  
  Great talent. Great communication. Great personality. He just gets it. Totally recommend!

  Wonderful wedding DJ

  Adam DJed our fall wedding at the NY botanical gardens and was really such a wonderful find. Adam was recommended by another contact of ours and we are so grateful to have found him. Adam took the time to understand our musical tastes ahead of time, arrived early with all of his equipment and generally helped make our big day really magical and seamless. We loved Adam's tunes and got lots of really wonderful praise from our guests about how great Adam was. We would definitely use Adam again, and are already trying to come up with an excuse to have another party! Oh, and I nearly forgot... Adam also put us in touch with a string quartet who were also fabulous!

  Favorite part of our wedding!

  Adam did such a great job DJ-ing at our wedding that two different couples that attended our wedding booked him for theirs. Throughout the night, he was able to incorporate our tastes and read the room, to keep everyone on the dance floor. We received MANY compliments on the music both during and after the wedding from a wide range of guests. Plus, Adam is a chill and professional guy that you know you can count on for your important day.

  A true professional, an awesome DJ, a great guy

  My now-wife and I knew we were in good hands from our very first meeting with Adam. We loved his approach and the questions that he had for us in the planning stages, and felt comfortable right away, knowing we could trust Adam's taste and experience to hit all the right notes throughout our big day.
  
  We could not have been happier with the results, and can truly say that Adam's soundtrack was a huge part of our enjoyment of the day. We received numerous compliments on the music, and perhaps the highest compliment of all - several of our friends asked if they could get in touch with Adam to DJ their own upcoming weddings, which we were really happy to hear!
  
  Adam also happens to be an amazing person to talk to and work with, and we felt lucky to have him as part of our celebration.

  The Absolute Best!

  Adam was awesome; I can’t praise him enough. We opted to do a cocktail party style wedding instead of a traditional seated dinner, so we needed someone who would really be able to read the crowd and not stick to the traditional “script” of a wedding. Adam was stellar; he followed the crowd’s cues and provided the right ambiance throughout the evening. I had several friends say that they hadn’t danced like that in ages.
  
  In terms of music, we had a lot of good conversations with him leading up to the big day. My husband and I have VERY disparate tastes in music but Adam took the time to dig into our likes and dislikes and I feel he really got us. He also helped us pick our entrance music since my husband and I had different ideas on what it should look like.
  
  In terms of service, he was very responsive whenever we emailed with questions, thoughts, etc.. He’s also detail-oriented, such as making sure we had the right version of the hora (I had no idea there were so many variations).

  Adam DJ'd our wedding in June 2016 and we had a wonderful experience. Before the wedding he was friendly, responsive, easy to work with, and had good suggestions for things we didn't have strong opinions about (cake cutting song??). At the reception, he was awesome-- we had a diverse crowd between my husband's big Dominican family and some older family friends, and he kept everyone dancing and enjoying themselves with a mix of classic stuff, recent hits, latin music, etc. We had a couple of last minute schedule issues/changes during the reception and they weren't even noticeable because he kept the music running smoothly. He also was a great, effective but understated MC (I can't STAND cheesy MC's). Highly recommended to anyone.

  Great music all night!

  Adam did a great job at DJ-ing our wedding. We were looking for a more traditional DJ approach to our wedding music as opposed to the standard wedding DJ/MC and Adam was very flexible and responsive to all of our requests. We provided some general guidance on themes for the music and Adam ran with it and put together an amazing night for us and our family/friends.
  
  Everyone kept dancing all night and many of our guests commented to us on how much they enjoyed the work he had done.
  
  I highly recommend Adam at Heart Beats for any and all DJing needs..

  Had Great feedback

  We sent him a list of music as we had a tight agenda with a ln MC and he worked really well with everyone. The music was exactly what we envisioned. He's super professional and cool. Would highly recommend.

  Brings the vibe and energy for your ultimate celebration

  We were so happy to find Adam for our wedding. It was hard to find a wedding DJ that could see our vision, more of a night club vibe with high level mixing, versus the usual wedding DJ. We had some diverse genres we wanted to weave together without feeling disjointed. He really mixed everything in a seamless way, creating a great energy within the party. Would highly recommend if you want everyone out on the dance floor all night!

  Adam's style is full of energy and creativity!

  The music was one of our most important vendors for our wedding and Adam was right on target with our very particular needs. My husband loves jam bands and I love dance music; in addition to that I knew my Filipino side of the family would want a lot of disco from the 70-80s and my husband's family would want to hear more American country. It was incredibly important for us to have our guests dancing the whole night and we really needed someone to help pull it all together. Adam was incredibly receptive to all our needs and we felt that he really listened to us and delivered. One of my bridesmaids recently recounted on how much energy there was on the dance floor and this was largely because of our DJ. He did such an amazing job and would highly recommend him!

  Thanks so much Adam. Man, you really blew my expectations away. Honestly we gave you a truncated amount of music to play that would be accessible to most of the age group that was there. Your short list of selections of the music we presented was so well done, that it blew my mind. I usually listen to house and techno music that's played in an illegal venue or warehouse, but knowing that I could not play that type of music you really took the best tracks of the hundreds we gave you and made great additions of your own. You kept the vibe to the point that not only our older guests were wilding but so were our younger guests. You have a great ear for dance floor tracks and reading the crowd. You didn't even need to play any big room electronic tracks to get everyone dancing. That was beyond awesome.

  Adam was extraordinary. He worked so well with us to incorporate unique songs we love while keeping everyone on their feet and having a good time. Super-responsive, flexible, game, and a delightful human. Can't recommend him highly enough!

  Fantastic DJ!

  Adam is a phenomenal DJ to hire for an event. We had such a good time dancing at a friends wedding that Adam did, that we got his contact information so that we could hire him for our wedding. He is a genuinely nice person that loves to hear about who you are and what kind of music you're into so that he can make your wedding/event not only unique, but fun as hell. We got so busy with all the other things to plan for the day, that we were really late getting song selections over to Adam, but he never pressured us or made us feel rushed. In the end it was a fantastic night, and we had several people tell us how much great the DJ and dancing were. Of all the vendors we were dealing with, Adam was by far the most relaxed and easiest to work with. Couldn't recommend him enough!
