Megan’s attention to detail and care for her clients is unrivaled.
We were so excited to have an engagement shoot included in the wedding package we booked with her. After booking her specifically for the epic shots she takes in nature, we knew we wanted her to join us in Yosemite National Park to capture some stunning photos in the valley. We planned to have her take some shots of us at sunset on a peak that overlooks the Yosemite valley.
With no rain in the forecast, we started to get ourselves ready for a shoot. Out of nowhere, the skies opened up and a storm rolled through the valley. We know this would have rattled other photographers and made them call the shoot-off, but not Megan. She stayed so calm even though we were becoming unsettled ourselves. She was confident she could get us up to the location with enough time to take several photos prior to the sun setting after the storm ended. And, that she did. She captured incredible pictures of us and further ensured our decision of being the right person to have with us on our big day.
The pandemic caused us to postpone our wedding twice, but Megan kept in communication through the whole process and continued to keep us at ease. It was because of her that we still had the best day of our lives, and the epic pictures to prove it. She made everyone, vendors and Guests alike, feel her passion and love for her art. She is great at directing you and making the picture-taking process memorable. As if the above wasn’t enough, her turnaround time for photos is out of this world fast!

Megan + Todd are the perfect duo.
Originally my husband and I had a big wedding planned in our home state. Sadly, we had to cancel due to COVID. Instead of postponing to a later date to have a big wedding, we decided to elope.
Our favorite place is Utah but I had no clue about planning an elopement halfway across the U.S. Then I found Megan. Boy am I happy I found Megan.
From the start she was amazing. She answered all our questions and helped plan everything we needed. She created an amazing timeline, scouted the perfect locations, and was extremely flexible when we had to push the elopement an extra day due to bad weather.
Immediately after the wedding, Megan sent us sneak peaks...like immediately after.
One month later (the quickest return time I've seen) we got our full photo gallery. A week or two after that we got our video.
The photos are one thing, but if you're eloping, you need video. I can't imagine our wedding now without it. It really looks like something out of a movie. It's something we'll cherish forever.
Working with Megan + Todd was one of the most fun experiences we could have had. They didn't feel like strangers. They felt like friends. -

Megan is the best!
If you’re looking for a photographer, look no further!!!!! There truly aren’t enough good things to say about Megan! I mean seriously. She went above and beyond for us in so many ways. First of all, the AMAZING pictures. Holy cow. I’m so in shock and so in love. Our sneak peeks were sent within 24 hours of the wedding and our full gallery was delivered in THREE WEEKS. When our videographer cancelled three hours before our ceremony, she told me not to worry, she would take care of it, and her and her associate were ON IT. She found us another videographer and had all the details worked out within the hour. She has the sweetest soul and is so genuine, so kind, and so easy to work with. I could go on and on about how amazing she is. Thank you so much for everything, Megan!!!! We can’t wait to work with you again someday, and we hope that day is sooner rather than later! -

Thank you Megan!
I came across Hazel & Lace's Instagram while on the hunt for photographers for our wedding in Steamboat Springs, CO and instantly was drawn to Megan's adventurous, breathtaking style of photography. When the pandemic became a reality for many Americans, I was so impressed with the graceful manner in which Megan expressed her concerns and also her commitment to capturing our special day for us. It was so reassuring to have her on our side as our wedding day approached.
The day of was captured in exactly the way we remembered it, but somehow even more magical than we could have imagined. We received countless positive comments from our friends and family about how effortlessly Megan and Tara directed our crew in order to get some amazing shots. My husband and I aren't quite used to being in front of the camera, but they helped us feel natural and comfortable quite quickly.
We received our sneak peeks very promptly after the wedding and our gallery was delivered within weeks! We've spent hours re-looking through our pictures, each time finding a special moment that we had yet to notice or stumbling across a hilarious moment that makes us bust up in laughter.
Working with Megan, it is evident what a kind and genuine person she is. She also contributed some fun vibes to the day, that were so appreciated! I truly cannot speak highly enough of Megan and Hazel & Lace Photography. -

Megan is AMAZING! Her photos are phenomenal. She was a dream to work with...very professional and helpful. We got sneak peeks same day that looked unbelievable. She always had amazing advice and wisdom and our day was 100 times better with her there. Our families all loved her. She is an amazing person on top of it all...couldn't have asked for a better photographer/ photos. She was really aware of Covid safety and I felt super comfortable. Would highly recommend her to anyone/ everyone!!!! -

We love Hazel & Lace Photography!
I cannot rave enough about Megan! My husband and I, as well as our friends and family, loved having her and her co-shooter Dylan, at our wedding. They arrived early to our wedding venue, were stress-free, easy to work with, didn't make us feel awkward in front of the camera, and also made sure we stayed hydrated by handing us water bottles throughout the day! Prior to the day of the wedding, Megan was in constant communication with me, which was great. Emails, phone calls, text... if I had a question or concern, Megan was quick to respond. And of course, our photos are absolutely stunning. We can't stop looking at them! We are forever grateful. -

Having Megan as our wedding photographer was a great experience and the sneak peeks have be amazing! I think I spoke to more photographers than any other vendor that we hired. With us having a destination wedding in Colorado Springs we also had Megan take some engagement pictures at the Garden of the Gods park. It was great to get to meet her in person prior to the wedding day. Megan did a good job of understanding what type of people we are and taking photographs that match our personality type. So far her turnaround time has been really fast, with sneak peek photos being available within 24 hours. We are so excited to see the remaining photos from the wedding and engagement session! Thank you so much Megan! -

Breathtaking
I did all of my photography needs with Megan and I just stare at every pictures for hours on end.
Megan takes you on adventures and she is just FUN. My husband and I are great at posing (we aren't models) but she made this process easy and exciting.

Megan is so professional. She responds to all messages very quick and answers all questions thoroughly. She is on top of the details - sends out a questionnaire asking what style photos your looking for (candids, funny, details, etc.), theme of your wedding (traditional, rustic, etc.), and asks for a list of family portraits that are must haves at the wedding so no one is forgotten.
Megan is flexible - we planned a destination wedding in Colorado, but the package included an engagement photo shoot as well, she was kind enough to offer for us to use it as a 1st anniversary shoot instead in case we weren't able to travel to CO before the wedding for engagement pics (we did, though, and LOVED them!). Megan's style of editing is timeless!
We actually booked the "associate package" with her Associate Sara - who is AMAZING and hilarious, might I add. Sara was so easy going and so easy to get along with. She went to Chautauqua Park and hiked up to the Lost Gulch Overlook in Boulder, CO with us for our engagement photos while a storm was rolling in. We had some sun rays poking through and managed to squeeze in a few pics before it started raining- waited about 5 min in the car for the rain to pass and then got some more amazing storm cloud photos, too. It was 60 mph winds and 40 degrees at the overlook and Sara was such a trooper!
The day of the wedding, Sara (and the second shooter, Tara) were so relaxed - managed to scope out some awesome photo locations for us near our ceremony at Sapphire Point Overlook, in Dillon, CO and at the base of the mountain. They also beautifully photographed the house we had our reception in nearby in Dillon. They were fun at the reception and managed to call us outside to take some awesome sunset profile pictures. Sara captured all the details of the wedding beautifully, too, and made sure to capture the fun candid photos of the grandmas dancing, and other funny/silly things people did throughout the day.
Megan is super timely to get sneak peek pictures back for both the engagement session and wedding within 2 days, and the rest of the album was delivered in less than 4 weeks after both!!!! Megan is also super generous to offer to edit out my tan lines on my back in a few extra photos, too (oops!).
Both Megan and Sara have a natural knack for beautiful landscape scenery. Sara does a great job at capturing candid moments as well.
I would absolutely book with Hazel & Lace Photography again! -

Amazing experience!
We decided to book Hazel & Lace for our destination elopement/intimate wedding in Zion National Park. Megan was extremely responsive & eased all our fear about planning our day from across the country. She was flexible about changing our hours etc. We decided to do a sunrise shoot the morning of our wedding & it was the best decision we could have made! Megan & her husband, Brandon made the hike to the location flawless. For the wedding, Megan made sure we got all the family portrait shots we requested. We received almost 30 (!!!!!!) sneak-peak photos the following day! If you're debating going with Hazel & Lace, DO IT, you will be blown away! -

If you are looking for a photographer you can trust, look no further. I could write pages on why Megan (and her husband Brandon) are probably exactly what you're looking for-- but I'll just cover the highlights. First of all, she replied to my message on Instagram almost immediately when I reached out to her... when you're trying to get your ducks in a row, reliability is a must! She was super enthusiastic, kind, and very importantly to me, lgbt friendly. She even agreed to travel out of the way to a place she had never photographed before (we're talking STATES away) just to get a few shots of a place that is special to my wife and I. Okay, let's move on to the day of. She was early to our appointment, made us feel SUPER comfortable when we were beyond nervous to have our pictures taken, and gave great direction that made amateurs like us look like models. In addition to this, her husband tagged along and carried my coat in between shots, provided us with hand warmers, carried my wife's "comfy" shoes, and cracked jokes to keep the mood light when we were worried about feeling awkward. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, we got a sneak peak of our photos within TWO DAYS, with full access to download, share, or print. I was so antsy to see how they turned out, and I didn't have to wait long-- what a relief! And oh, the photos. What I love about Megan's style is that she doesn't over-edit... the faces in the photos are not retouched-- they look like us! And, she doesn't apply any wonky filters that won't make sense ten years from now. They're clear, beautiful, and her talent is able to shine right through them. I can't wait for my grandchildren to see these someday.
Long story short, look no further; pick Hazel & Lace. It will be the best decision you make for your wedding...aside from marrying the love of your life, of course. ;) -

Megan of Hazel and Lace photography was absolutely amazing to work with. She helped us throughout the process of planning our small elopement and acted as both our wedding planner and as our photographer. We live in Florida and we’re planning our elopement in Zion, so we basically planned the whole thing using the internet and Megan all sight unseen. Megan found our ceremony spot and sunrise photo location for us and scoped it all out before we arrived 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽. The day of our elopement it was storming so bad that we couldn’t hike and we knew we had to reschedule. Megan was more than happy to accommodate this change for us. She was easy going, fun, and made us feel like models. Our pictures turned out incredible, and they were returned to us very quickly. We were overwhelmed with emotions looking back at them as they helped us remember every moment of our special day. We would highly recommend Hazel and Lace to any and all of our friends who need an elopement photographer ❤️ thank you Megan for photographing our special day, we will treasure these photos forever. -

Sarah Sent on 05/09/2018If you are looking for a photographer, book Megan now! First, and most importantly, the wedding photos came back beyond amazing. They exceeded our expectations, and I have had so many people tell me they originally thought they were photos from a magazine. Megan was able to capture everything perfectly, and provided us with so many pictures to choose from. Starting with the first email, Megan was quick to offer help with everything. In many ways, she acted as our wedding planner, since we were out of state and had no idea about vendors or locations. She told me the best spot for a wedding in RMNP, and recommended my other vendors. She even picked up my flowers in Denver and brought them with her day of. After having worked with two different photographers for our engagement photos & bridal photos, Megan was so great at making us feel comfortable and posing us without making it feel awkward. She was able to get us a few sneak peaks same day, which was great to have as we waited for the whole album. She also delivered the entire album very quickly, within a few weeks. We are already tracking her travel schedule to book an anniversary shoot. I cannot recommend her enough!

She provided helpful guidance and insight throughout the process. Her presence is very grounding, which is a huge asset for a wedding because there are so many moving parts. My partner and I took our engagement photos at Red Rocks and had so much fun! The weather was threatening a storm and yet we rolled it and got the photos just in time. My partner and I describe ourselves as not very photogenic and yet, Megan was able to capture our loving and playful connection with each other. The weather on our wedding day was precarious at best and Megan just went with the flow. She captured such beautiful and moving moments with her lens. I am truly grateful for Hazel and Lace Photography's contributions to our wedding celebration!

Vanessa Sent on 11/28/2017I found Megan on Instagram because I was looking for a good photographer in Colorado. My husband and I traveled from Texas to Colorado for our one year anniversary. We took our anniversary photos with Megan and some more photos for a styled shoot. It was basically the highlight of our trip and we had so much fun seeing the beautiful scenery and working with Megan. She was amazing and helped guide us through our poses. We felt very comfortable with Megan and are very happy with our pictures (they are seriously the best!!!). Overall, it was a great experience and we hope to be back in a year or two for another round. :)

Our original plan on where we wanted the pictures taken didn’t work out due to weather but she was flexible and really helpful in finding an even better location within a few hours notice. She was so fun and sweet and really helped us to have fun and relax. I couldn’t have asked for a better photographer, we were absolutely blown away by her work.
