This review is long overdue, but our experience was so incredible—and we think so highly of the Harvard Club of Boston—that we felt late was better than never. Our wedding reception at the Club truly exceeded our expectations in every way. It was absolutely wonderful working with Chelsea. She was incredibly detail-oriented, highly responsive, and an excellent communicator throughout the entire process. She took the time to truly understand our vision and helped us customize the day, adding little touches to bring our dream reception to life. We always felt informed, supported, and confident that everything was in great hands. Furthermore, the professionalism of the entire staff was outstanding. It felt like every staff member was trying to make our day special, from frequent congratulatory wishes to ensuring we had wedding cake waiting for us in our suite since we were too busy dancing to enjoy it during the reception. The event spaces are classic, grand, and have traditional New England charm, which is exactly what we wanted. To this day, people still compliment us on our reception, noting the beauty of the venue, the quality of the food, and the attentive service. The Harvard Club made the experience joyful and truly unforgettable. Thank you to everyone who made our day so special! -

The Harvard Club was everything that we had hoped for and more. We loved the space itself (amazing cozy winter vibes), the food, the drinks, and how smoothly everything ran. Spencer and his team were fantastic – organized, responsive, and super friendly. Spencer was also incredible leading our rehearsal (and fielding all our groups’ questions), and he flawlessly executed the timeline on the day of. The Harvard Club of Boston was an absolutely incredible wedding venue!! Spencer was a dream to work with throughout the entire planning process, and his attention to detail truly made all the difference. He is genuinely the best of the best and ensured our vision came to life while keeping the entire day running seamlessly and on schedule. We could not recommend the venue or working with Spencer more highly!! Chelsea was also wonderful on the day of the wedding and helped make sure everything went off without a hitch. We are still receiving messages about how exceptional the service was, unmatched vibe and the food was outstanding. A perfect experience all around. 10/10 would recommend to everyone!

Everything we dreamed of!
We absolutely loved every moment of working with the Harvard Club for our wedding. Everyone we worked with was incredibly kind, gracious, and responsive in a timely manner. Spencer and Jennifer were so wonderful; Spencer was our day-of coordinator and we appreciated that he was calm and collected throughout the process. The food was excellent, the venue was stunning, and I would highly recommend this to anyone else looking for an elegant, dark academia kind of setting. I know the Harvard Club does a lot of events, but I never felt like I was just another event. Everyone made me feel as though I was the only person to have ever gotten married there. It felt like VIP treatment. -

We cannot say enough wonderful things about The Harvard Club of Boston and our incredible coordinator, Chelsea. From the moment we stepped into the space, we were completely taken by its charm—the tall ceilings, rich dark wood, and multiple fireplaces created an atmosphere that was both elegant and deeply cozy. It felt intimate, romantic, and timeless, exactly what we envisioned for our wedding on November 15, 2025.
Chelsea was truly exceptional. We had very specific (and somewhat unconventional) ideas around the lighting for the evening, and she not only embraced them but executed everything perfectly. Her attention to detail, responsiveness, and openness to our vision made us feel completely confident and supported throughout the planning process. She anticipated needs we didn’t even realize we had and handled everything with calm professionalism.
The food was outstanding—our guests are still talking about it. Every course was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.
One moment that will stay with us forever was Chelsea welcoming us into our room for the reveal, two glasses of champagne in hand and the biggest, warmest smile. It was such a thoughtful, joyful gesture and instantly became a core memory of our wedding day.
We would wholeheartedly recommend The Harvard Club of Boston and Chelsea for any event and for anyone. They exceeded every expectation.

Wonderful experience - so glad we found the Harvard Club!
We had such a great experience planning our wedding at the Harvard Club! From our initial meeting to the night of our wedding, we were treated with such professionalism and everyone we worked with was fantastic. Both of our planners, Hannah and Lindsey, were responsive, accommodating, and very fair with handling any requests we had for the event. The space itself is a gorgeous venue, the staff went above and beyond to make our night special and stress-free, and the food was exceptional. We feel lucky that we found the Harvard Club! -

We cannot say enough about our fall wedding at the Harvard Club. The team, especially Hannah, made the day so easy and enjoyable. We held our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at the Harvard Club and the day was completely seamless. Hannah was amazing at answering questions throughout the entire process, providing valuable input and keeping all the vendors organized! She really took the lead on so much and kept the day completely stress free for us.
The venue is stunning! Our 200 guests cannot stop talking about how elegant every room was and how the food was the best they've had at a wedding! We wish we could do it again already!

Above and beyond!
We are so grateful to every member of the Harvard Club staff for making our wedding even better than we dreamed. The entire team worked together seamlessly and went above and beyond our expectations. They made it look easy even though it was clear so much care and effort went into our day. No detail was too small.
Chelsea is a pro and kept us relaxed and on schedule throughout the planning process. Our experience would not have been the same without her. Our wedding party was equally appreciative of how on top of everything she was. On our wedding today, Chelsea along with Jennifer and Lindsey orchestrated everything flawlessly.
The food was EXCELLENT thanks to Executive Chef Dean Moore and his team. Our guests continue to rave about this. We left our tasting so impressed with phenomenal options to choose from, and on the day of, even with Harvard Hall full of people to serve, the food maintained its superior quality.
The service was top-notch throughout the weekend.
And The Club itself is stunning and timeless - the perfect place for our black tie wedding and favorite day. -

Caitie and Jacks’s wedding was perfect! The Harvard Club was a fantastic venue - from fabulous food, beautiful venue and wonderful staff who made planning easy and looked out for the details when we were overwhelmed. The “value” for what we received was outstanding! Our friends and guests keep telling us how great the food was and how pretty the venue was. The Back Bay location was convenient for guests for pre-wedding and post-wedding activities. Staying at the Harvard Club in the rooms upstairs was an added bonus. Highly recommend!! -

Our early June wedding at the Harvard Club of Boston was above and beyond what we imagined. All of the staff was incredible and made the day relaxing and fun. Our wedding at the Harvard Club of Boston was truly a dream come true.
Venue Appearance: The ambiance was sophisticated, classic, elegant, and magical—a perfect setting for our special day.
Wedding Planner: Working directly with Hannah Larson, the catering sales manager of the club, was an exceptional experience. Hannah's expertise exceeded our expectations. Her guidance and advice were invaluable throughout the entire process. With her impeccable taste and sound judgment, she made every decision-making moment effortless. Hannah's responsiveness was remarkable; we received prompt answers to all our inquiries within hours. Should we ever need to host another large event in the future, we would undoubtedly choose to work with her again.
Food: The quality of the food surpassed all expectations. The club takes allergies seriously and offers a wide selection of options to accommodate various dietary needs.
Service: The staff at the club were exceptionally polite, well-presented, and exhibited impeccable manners.
Cleanliness: Every aspect of the venue, from the bathrooms to the rooms, lobby, tables, dining ware, and chairs, was immaculately clean and polished.
Despite planning our wedding with only five months' notice while managing a demanding full-time job, I was able to enjoy a stress-free ceremony, all thanks to Hannah's planning skills and expertise in wedding coordination.

A Perfect Wedding Venue!
My husband and I got married at the Harvard Club in January 2024. After our first visit to the venue we immediately fell in love with the club. We worked with Chelsea and her team and from the very beginning Chelsea was extremely helpful, organized and professional. We held both the ceremony and reception at the venue and we love how we had use of all the function space for our day and they even had overnight guest rooms we could use for ourselves and our guests. We felt at ease working with Chelsea throughout the planning process and on the day we were comforted knowing Chelsea and her team where there to ensure our day went smoothly. And it did! The staff and their service was flawless from start to finish and our guests still keep telling us how amazing the food was. I would 100% recommend this venue for anyone looking to get married in Boston, and especially in the winter - it is truly magical! -

Amazing August Wedding
We had our wedding at the Harvard Club in August and it was outstanding. We had 70 guests; our ceremony was in Harvard Hall and our dinner was in the Massachusetts Room. We are still receiving compliments on how fantastic the food was. We chose a four-course meal (appetizer, salad, main course, dessert). Each dish was beautiful on the plate and even more delicious. We worked primarily with Hannah (and Jennifer on a few occasions) and she was spectacular. From the start, she was communicative and kind. We enjoyed every meeting with her because we knew we could trust her. On the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly, and a lot of that goes to Hannah. She was calm, and organized, and kept everyone in line with the timeline of the day/night. I am so grateful for how our wedding went. I highly recommend getting married there! -

Amazing, beautiful 10/10 wedding!
My wife & I had an absolutely amazing and perfect wedding on 9/30/23 at the Harvard Club. We had 130 guests and everything went perfectly. The venue is beautiful, very fairly priced compared to similar venues, and the food, décor, and atmosphere was amazing. Hannah Larson was an incredible help to us throughout 18 months of planning and everything went off without a single issue. The Harvard Club is highly accommodating and we really can't say enough about what a great venue they have & how helpful their team is. We highly, highly recommend the Harvard Club to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue in the Boston area! -

We cannot rave enough about our wedding experience with The Harvard Club. Throughout the wedding planning process, The Harvard Club team was responsive, patient, insightful, and accommodating. They were knowledgable about local vendors. We wanted to incorporate a number of personal and cultural elements into our celebration; the Harvard Club team enthusiastically and professionally made our vision a reality. The execution on the day of the event was seamless. The venue was stunning with all the gorgeous wood paneling, lovely tapestries, and majestic fireplaces. 10/10 recommend! -

We experienced the best day of our lives at the Harvard Club. Hannah Larson (Catering Sales Manager) could not have been more helpful, kind, responsive, flexible, and accommodating. She truly went above and beyond for us, even going so far as to bring in special drinks that the bar did not have originally. She was a real pleasure to work with and organized a delicious tasting for my HUSBAND (will take a while for the novelty to wear off of that) and I with my parents. She never made me feel badly or cheap for asking how to cut costs wherever possible. I felt like I could trust her completely and that she always had our best interests in mind.
In terms of the space itself, we could not have asked for a more beautiful old world venue. The main hall is truly exquisite, as was the foyer where we had cocktail hour. We loved the fireplaces and despite it being a fairly warm April day, she was kind enough to fire them up just for when folks walked into the main room for the ambience. We made all our own flower arrangements and she also helped spice up our centerpieces with some lovely faux votive candles provided by the Club.
We got tons of compliments on the food! My husband's family is Texan and they couldn't get over how delicious the ribs were, which you know is saying a lot coming from the BBQ capital of the world! Hannah was also incredibly receptive to some feedback we gave at the tasting, and swiftly responded to our minor concern. Another added perk with the food is that you can put getting ready meals towards your food minimum which ended up being a saving grace when a handful of guests dropped last minute (something I was not prepared for). The sandwiches and salads we ordered were truly gourmet and delicious. Us ladies also enjoyed our mid-morning mimosas and the boys, their low-brow Miller Lights, which Hannah, being the good sport she is, brought in especially for the occasion. The getting rooms for both bridesmaids and groomsmen were also spacious and gorgeous.
Finally, my best advice in the whole wedding process is to surround yourself with good, honest, caring vendors. It makes what can be a stressful anxiety-ridden process a whole lot more enjoyable when you know you have solid people who are good at their job in your corner. Hannah is no exception. Thank you, Harvard Club and Hannah again for giving us a day that exceeded our wildest expectations. We will never forget it. -

The Harvard Club of Boston was the most perfect venue for our wedding. It was the perfect balance of a downtown Boston wedding without all the hassle of the city! They have a full parking lot where our guests could easily park for our event and even guest rooms where our whole bridal party stayed all weekend. We enjoyed the extra time we got to spend with our friends and family since everyone was staying on site with us!! The staff at the Harvard Club were incredible and made our Wedding day so perfect and special for us. The events team is seasoned and so helpful through every step of the planning process. My dream wedding came true
Booked the venue three years ago but did not host our wedding as the original date due to the pandemic. Lucky me that this amazing venue helped me to reschedule a new date for us this year and helped me so much to make my dream wedding finally happen! I am so grateful to the venue manager and her team! We were planning to get married at The Harvard Club in November 2020, cancelled that wedding, had a few holds on other dates, had a baby, and then finally got married in early 2022. The entire staff throughout every twist and turn was professional, accommodating, generous, and overall just incredibly easy to work with. Jennifer is hands down the most wonderful on-site coordinator and made sure our wedding weekend was perfect (including doing anything and everything to make sure our baby and her nanny for the weekend were comfortable on-site for those 3 days). Our guests are still talking about how good the food was and how gorgeous the room was the night of our wedding. We looked at about 6 venues in Boston and I'm so glad we went this direction. Choose the Harvard Club and you will not be disappointed! -

Elegant, chic, one-of-a-kind. From start to finish, our experience with the Harvard Club was first class. Throughout the planning process Jennifer was so professional and responsive. She guided us through COVID and a rescheduling of our event and worked seamlessly with our wedding planner. Jennifer was on our "wedding team" and was a true team player. We always felt like she was on our side and supported us in making sure our vision came to life.
Next, the food was amazing. Honestly booking the venue we had heard the food was good but after having our tasting, we knew it was going to be phenomenal. Everyone was raving about the food and the bar selection. From start to finish each moment, passed appetizers, raw bar, seated dinner and our signature cocktails, was a hit. Our guests were also so impressed about the phenomenal waiter service and the ability to accommodate dietary needs. Everyone on the entire staff is a true professional and the night went off like clockwork. Their ability to flip the ballroom to the reception is the work of magic.
Last but not least, the venue itself is stunning. The main ballroom is striking in a way only a historic building can achieve. From the tall ceilings to the roaring fireplaces, it's truly something to see. Nothing was better than walking into the hall with the band playing for our first dance. Our 200 person wedding felt intimate and impressive at the same time. In addition, we loved being able to lead our guests up the grand staircase to cocktail hour and back down to dinner and dancing. It made the flow of the evening feel very natural and also made the start of the reception feel special.
It was a show stopping wedding. My only regret is that I can't do it again! -

Planning a wedding from across the country during COVID was not easy, but we knew we were in good hands from our first zoom call with Jennifer. Jennifer's knowledge, experience, and fantastic patience made every phone call, email, and meeting an absolute pleasure. Her team's professionalism, promptness, and immedicable attention to detail are incomparable and made the planning process easy and enjoyable from start to finish.
The venue's historical rooms provided the warm and intimate ambiance we wanted while accommodating nearly 200 guests. The Club worked with our vendors flawlessly to transform the magnificent hall for dinner and dancing, the upstairs cocktail-hour room (with ample space for social distancing!), and the areas where our wedding party got ready into spaces curated just for us. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The staff was warm and welcoming, each person had pride in their work which made our guests feel so comfortable, and the executive chef and his team outdid themselves. The food was outstanding and plentiful, and the service was even better! The night played out exactly how we dreamed because the entire Harvard Club team made sure of it.
I genuinely believe this tucked-away Clubhouse in the heart of Back Bay is one of the best-kept secrets of Boston. I almost don't want to share how spectacular it is and keep it for ourselves, but the unparalleled service and flawless execution, not to mention the stunning venue, needs to be experienced by more couples.

Jennifer and her team at the Harvard Club were absolutely stellar in helping us plan and execute our ~150 person wedding.
From day one, we knew we could trust Jennifer to care for every detail with promptness and professionalism - Not only because she's executed many, many events in the space, but because she was timely with responses and genuine with her advice.
If we weren't already convinced of the high level of service, the night of our wedding, I ended up with something stuck to the bottom of my shoe and Jennifer, not missing a beat, ran over to scrape it off with her bare hands!
Don't look further - the Harvard Club is a stunning venue and Jennifer and team are top notch. -

Our experience of planning and having our wedding at the The Harvard Club exceeded every expectation and hope that we had. There are three things that stuck out to us the most, the space, the staff and the service.
Space: The event spaces inside the club are stunning and provide a quintessential Boston experience which was important to us with many out of town guests. Aside from the reception itself, being able to get ready onsite in the morning and then stay there overnight was a huge perk and made the logistical aspects of the day feel effortless.
Staff: Most importantly, Jennifer is a dream to work with. She is incredibly communicative and kept a close eye on all of the many details. She was wonderfully helpful in making suggestions or recommendations when we asked but never imposed her own opinion. When our parents came for the tasting, she and the staff made us all feel warm and welcome which made the tasting itself its own special memory for our families. Like many couples, we had to postpone our wedding due to the pandemic and Jennifer and her team made that stressful time feel as easy as could be. We ended up also hiring a day of coordinator (Kelly Elizabeth Events) to assit with the ceremony + other various parts of the day and she and Jennifer worked together wonderfully to bring our vision to life. One of my favorite memories of the day is when we arrived back at the Harvard Club after the ceremony, Jennifer brought my husband and I into Harvard Hall to show us the room before it was filled with guests. One of the servers, Marilyn, was there to meet us with a tray of hor d'oeuvres and drinks just for us. It was so wonderful to have a moment to ourselves to appreciate the room before the party began and to refresh ourselves before joining cocktail hour. These little things that make a big difference in your day and The Harvard Club nails them all.
Service: Our guests raved about the venue in many ways but most especially about how delicious their meals were. It is so hard to execute a meal for 175 people and the food + beverage team did so beautifully. From the "getting ready" breakfast spread in the morning to helping us pack up and leave the next day, the service was exceptional every step of the way.
Overall, every single thing was perfect and we couldn't be happier. We cannot recommend The Harvard Club & their wonderful event team enough! -

A Timeless Wedding Venue
My husband and I got married on 8/7/21 but first met with the club's wedding coordinator, Jennifer, in July of 2019. Throughout the pandemic working with Jennifer was stress-free. She was responsive and so helpful through the planning process. The venue itself is historic, sophisticated, and unique. Harvard Hall is stunning with tall ceilings and beautiful chandeliers and fireplaces. Our guests were so impressed with how classy the venue was and how the evening was so well executed - we could not recommend the Harvard Club of Boston enough! -

My husband and I are in Boston for school/training. We are from NYC and Toronto originally. We were looking at venues in both places, but covid19 restrictions were really strict at the time. We decided to look in Boston for a casual service involving around 20 people because our dream of having a big wedding seemed impossible at the time. We looked at a few places, but nothing spoke to me. We are Harvard affiliated so we looked into the harvard club. When I saw it for the first time I knew this was the perfect place for a big or small wedding. It is so beautifully jaw dropping and each room is so unique.
Jennifer is the event manager and she is hands down amazing at her job. She helps you with everything! She is so professional and her emails are always timely. We planned for a small wedding up until June when the restrictions lifted. We then decided to have a last minute bigger wedding. We had three months to get everything together, which looking back is CRAZY, but we did it. Everything was a dream! Even the food. Wedding venues tend to have terrible food, but it the food is really high quality at the Harvard club. The staff also did such an amazing job. Everyone was so helpful and nice. I would highly recommend this Venue to anyone! -

We just had our small wedding at the Harvard Club of Boston. The planner, Jennifer, was a pleasure to work with throughout the process, collaborating with us on the ever-changing guidelines and COVID restrictions. Due to the size, we ended up having the ceremony and reception in the Massachusetts room, cocktail hour in the Aesculapian room, and photos both outside and in the gorgeous ballroom. The price was fair, the food delicious, and all the employees involved extremely professional and kind. I highly recommend working with Jennifer to have your wedding here!

We had an incredible experience planning our tiny (7-person) wedding at the Harvard Club. We were originally planning to have a 200-person wedding in Rhode Island in October 2020. After we realized our big wedding could not happen this year due to the pandemic, we canceled those plans and reached out to Jennifer at the Harvard Club to explore the possibility of having our micro-wedding reception at the club. Fortunately, they already had options in place for small weddings and were available for our date. The experience from start to finish couldn't have been easier. Jennifer was very proactive in her communication and responsive to our specific questions and special requests. She helped us feel like we were still planning a very special day even if it had been downsized to the bare minimum. And truly, our reception at the Harvard Club was so special!
We had a wonderful evening with our families in the Massachusetts Room. Although this isn't the room typically used for larger weddings, it is an absolutely stunning room and made for many beautiful photos. As for the meal - our families were blown away by the service and the food. I think my dad actually said it was the best meal he had had in years. In addition, given that we were having our wedding during a pandemic, everyone took the utmost care to make sure that we were safe and that all possible precautions were being followed.
If you are considering having your wedding at the Harvard Club, you honestly cannot go wrong. Beyond being a beautiful space for a wedding of any size, the service, food, and experience were everything we could have asked for. Thank you, Harvard Club, for helping us re-envision our wedding plans and making it the most perfect day we could have imagined! -

Perfection + Professionalism!
We had a truly flawless experience working with Jennifer and the whole team at the Harvard Club for our October 2019 wedding. We first met with Jennifer about 16 months before the wedding to see the venue, and we knew we’d be making the right choice because of her professionalism and management expertise, something we had not seen when visiting other venues/venue managers. Jennifer exceeded our expectations every step of the way! She was responsive to our questions and flexible about our requests for certain elements of our wedding. She kept everything perfectly on schedule during the planning process and on the day-of. We really appreciated that Jennifer hid us away for a moment alone together after the ceremony to soak in the moment (and eat!) The venue itself is excellent, too. First, the food is UNBELIEVABLY delicious! Our guests were blown away by the meal, and my husband wishes we could go back just for the food! It really is high-end restaurant quality. The chef was also able to accommodate various dietary restrictions and allergies. The space is stunning—we knew we wanted to get married indoors but not at a traditional hotel, so this historic location was perfect for us. The photos you see online are nice but don’t come close to doing it justice. The space is magically transformed when you step in and see the high ceilings and beautiful décor. There actually are guest rooms upstairs, and our families found it super convenient to stay at the Harvard Club so we didn’t have to arrange transportation. We wouldn’t change a thing, and we 100% recommend this venue to other couples looking for an incredible experience! -

My husband and I got married this past NYE at The Harvard Club of Boston, and neither us nor our guests can stop talking about what an absolutely magical and amazing evening it was. Jennifer Sepulveda, The Club's Catering Sales Manager, was a HUGE part of making the evening incredible. We had some unique requests for how to make our large feel wedding warm and intimate, which included using the space in a totally unconventional way to have our ceremony "pop-up" during the cocktail hour. Even though Jennifer had never done anything like this at The Club before, she was supportive and flexible about helping us make it happen, and ultimately it was the most special, beautiful moment of our lives, surrounded by family and friends. From beginning to end Jennifer was professional and responsive while also being light-hearted. She was an absolutely joy to work, with and made the whole planning process seamless from The Harvard Club's side. Many of our guests (and of course we ourselves) raved that the food was the best wedding meal we'd ever had. The food was delicious at the tasting, but we assumed there was no way it would taste quite that good when made for 200 people at once. We were wrong! The food was OUTSTANDING!! We would recommend The Harvard Club as a wedding venue without any caveats or reservations. Absolutely amazing!!! -

Kimberly Sent on 07/24/2018We had a wonderful wedding at the Harvard Club Back Bay. Jennifer & Patrick were so easy to work with - they made the day just perfect. Our guests loved the location of the Club/hotel. The FOOD was the best - not the best wedding food - the best actual food. We had the lobster & filet dinner and our guests are still talking about it. Harvard Hall where we had our reception was magnificent and the Massachusetts Room for the ceremony was just stunning. I cannot say enough nice things about Jennifer and the staff at the Harvard Club. My new husband and I are already planning our 5 year anniversary party there - that's how great it was. And all our friends from California, Texas & Florida agreed - they will come back with bells on. I HIGHLY recommend.

It is the perfect location if you are looking for classic Boston elegance while still being in the heart of downtown; it truly is a hidden gem. Jennifer, the wedding coordinator, is incredible and makes the night flow flawlessly, I had zero worries and was able to enjoy the evening. We did do a Stationed dinner which we were warned they were not as experience with and there was a few hiccups but nothing that changed how amazing our wedding was. It is a gorgeous venue that hardly needs anything done to it, it truly stands on it's own and the history and beauty of the building are unparalleled in Boston. I would recommend this venue to anyone. We had a great experience working with Tom and would do it all over again. -

Beautiful elegant wedding!
The Harvard Club was great to work with and the venue was absolutely transformed and stunning with all of the decor installed. The Harvard Club is the most perfect setting for a wedding. The staff was so attentive day-of and kept us on a great schedule to keep the night moving perfectly. The food was incredible and the ability to incorporate unique details that were important to us was especially appreciated.
