    Accommodating and Beautiful

    The Hampton Roads Event Rentals team did an amazing job supplying all rentals for my backyard wedding! They were incredibly accommodating, professional and thorough. Ashley was a joy to work with! She went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. When we asked to rent a wooden cross for our ceremony, the owner took the time to make the cross himself. The Aurora tent was absolutely stunning! Their service made all the difference at my wedding. I would recommend them to anyone who needs rentals in the Hampton Roads area!

    The Most professionalism and epic wedding!

    I hired this company for a wedding in June of 2021. We began negotiations in March. I knew right away that I was in good hands.

    There were a few things that we had to work out. But I really loved at this company was responsive and answered all of my questions immediately.
    In the end, we had the most amazing wedding!

    And everything that we asked for was responded to and customized exactly as we asked....
    This company even came back twice to our property to make sure that everything was perfect!

    I was so impressed at their flexibility and genuine help...

    There is no doubt the next time I do an event I will be calling this company for anything in the Virginia Beach Hampton Roads area... 😍😍😍🥰🥰❤❤❤👍👍

    Great Hardworking Team!

    The Hampton Roads Event Rentals team made our wedding dreams come true, when we thought we wouldn't have anything nearly as beautiful with all of the last minute changes of venue, etc. They really pulled through and because of all their hard work gave us a STUNNING wedding and a great place to party! And supplied fans, because Virginia summers are HOT.

    Excellent and responsive

    The Hampton Event Team was excellent and very responsive. We were changing the requirements right up to the day before the wedding. They team was very responsive to our changes. Would highly recommend this vendor.

    Great company!

    Forgot to order chairs for my Covid wedding and they were able to rent me the chairs 4 days before the wedding. Their customer service was awesome they really care about their customers!

    Great rentals

    Hampton Roads Event Rentals helped bring my backyard wedding to life! They provided a beautiful tent with perfect lighting underneath it. They also provided all of our tables, chairs (for the ceremony and reception), linens, and more. HRER was so easy to work with, and adapted to any changes we needed. The team of guys who delivered everything was so friendly and had our best interests at heart. While hanging up the cathedral windows on the tent, when one of them was a little dirty, they took it right down and hung up a cleaner one. They worked with us and asked questions to ensure everything was perfect. HRER turned our backyard into an awesome venue, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for wedding rentals!

    Perfection!

    I truly appreciated working with JJ and Chris. They were so professional and communicated throughout wonderfully. I wish I would’ve gotten everything from them before I previously booked through another rental company. They were understanding and precise. We recently had a traumatic life changing event happen in my family that threw us all through a loop, we had to add more to my event and I explained it all to them. They worked with me regarding the sides of the tent and what the weather would be like. My life is busy and I check my email constantly because I can’t be on my phone at work. If I didn’t respond for 24 hours they always called first thing in the morning to follow up. This was amazing since I made my additional rental order with them ONLY a month before my wedding. Their prices are competitive but they are still on the lower side, with the same great quality. I truly cannot explain how wonderful my experience has been. Even during the set up they were friendly and wanted to make sure they were putting it all in the perfect position and place. Thank you so much HRER! Chris and JJ your team is amazing and we truly thank you!!!

    On top of all of these wonderful things Chris personally emailed me the day before my wedding to say congratulations. This was one of the nicest and personable things any company we used did!

    Outstanding Service and Quality

    Well, they didn’t provide the sunset or sand, but Hampton Roads Event Rentals provided just about everything else to make our recent family wedding a success!
    That arbor, those white chairs along the beach, the gorgeous gold chairs under the tent, the tables, the dishes, glasses, tableware, the lighting, the fans and more.
    J.J. and Chris at their showroom on George Washington Memorial Highway ( Rt. 17) in Yorktown were so helpful and had such good ideas. I stopped in the store many times to add or change things; they were always accommodating!
    Delivery and pickup were worked to fit our schedule. Everything went off without a single problem.
    We don’t have another child planning a wedding, but if we did, we’d head right back to Hampton Roads Event Rentals!

    I rented my beautiful Aurora Tent (an alternative to Sperry tents) from Hampton Roads, along with tables, table settings, tent lighting, and a cotton candy machine :). They were quite responsive, and even came back and delivered something that was omitted from the first delivery. They were GREAT to work with, and I searched for several rental companies before settling on them. They helped make the day perfect. :)

    We used Hampton Roads Event Rentals to help us make our backyard wedding romantic and whimsical. They were extremely helpful, they came out and measured the yard to ensure our tent would fit in the allotted space.     I had to reserve my chairs, dishes, and linens last minute and they worked with me quickly and got me everything I needed! They also didn't require me to clean the chairs or put in any extra work for my rentals. They delivered it, and picked it up on time!

    We rented chairs for outside, chair covers for inside, table clothes and glasses. All were perfect except the chair covers did not fit as I would have liked. I wish they had been the stretchy kind. Also I thought some of the prices were a little high, however it was the same at other places too. I will use them again, they are close and nice people.

    We rented four propane heaters because our venue had a beautiful back porch we were going to have cocktail hour on. The day before our wedding, we found out it was going to be a messy, rainy, day and decided to cancel the heaters. Upon calling them, we found out that they had no cancellation policy. I understand it was the day before, but weather isn't really a controllable thing. I should have at least been refunded SOMETHING. They did let me pick something else from their available rentals instead of a refund and I was able to get some uplighting and a bar. The lighting and the bar were really nice and added a lot to our reception. They were delivered and picked up on time and the company was overall very pleasant to interact with, I was just annoyed that they really seem to have no policy for cancellation, and it was frustrating/stressful. to have to deal with the day before my wedding.

    Wrong items sent for wedding

    We chose Hampton Roads Event Rentals for our wedding based off of the affordability. The booking process was fairly easy, though they have a very limited selection of different styles of dinnerware, glassware, and silverware. However, we found something we liked so we went with it. My first concern arose when I stopped in to view different linen colors (my second visit to the store) and I asked them to show me the glassware I had reserved. At that time, some of the glasses were totally wrong from what I had chosen. They made the corrections and the right glassware was delivered on the wedding day.

    However, we had a lot of problems with the linens. When I came downstairs to view the reception set up prior to leaving for the church, I noticed that the linens were 3 very different shades of navy blue. This was very frustrating. One was a very dark navy, one was a bit lighter, and one appeared more turquoise than navy. Additionally, some of the wrong sizes were sent. While all of the hangers were marked with the correct sizes, some of the linens on the hangers were wrong. We were so lucky that we had a coordinator who was able to think on her feet and make it all work. It was just so frustrating to spend so much money on rentals and have the company put so little care and thought into what was being sent. Our venue, The Historic Post Office in Hampton, mentioned that they will likely remove them from their preferred vendors list based on the frustration with the incorrect product and the company's response to the coordinator when she called about the issue.

    Terrible customer services! Do NOT use them!

    I ordered and paid for tables and chairs when they closed on Saturday and had to cancel when they opened on the following morning because I would not have a way to return the items the Monday following the event. (I live out of town) Their website says they allow refunds on a case-by-case basis but rude person on the phone says they do not issue any refunds. It was less than 48 hours and my order did not prevent anyone from being able to rent the items. The person actually hung up and when I attempted to call back they refused to answer the phone.

    I will definitely never rent from them again. The manager/owner is the most unconcerned business owner I have ever dealt with, but he can afford to be. He has your money, you can't get a refund and he offers no apologies for the substandard products that he rents.
    I rented several tables and padded chairs from this company for a 90th Birthday Celebration. All of the chairs were dirty, some were broken and several of the chairs had warped seat cushion.
    Just consider your mother or loved one sitting in a chair and falling out of it at your event. He didn't apologize or make recompense for the damaged chairs that could not be used. The chairs were so dirty that they offered chair covers to cover them. Of course he considered that a favor and skimmed over the reason he had to give me the chair covers in the first place. Which really didn't help, because they didn't even fit the chairs he rented to me. Needless to say my event didn't have the crisp look I was hoping for. But the owners attitude toward this substandard way of doing business floored me. I even asked him if he was called to do an event for top leaders in our area would he rent them the chairs he gave me? No response! They stacked them back in the container to give to the next unsuspecting renter--broken, damaged and unusable, unaware until you get to your event site.
    I suggest you find a more reputable person to give your business to or at least one who appreciates your business!

    I incurred additional costs for my daughter's wedding because a third of the dinner plates received and half the racks for drink glasses had to be washed before they could be used. I will accept some responsibility because the person who checked the items in only did counts and didn't check for cleanliness. You would think this would not be an issue. If I sent them back without being rinsed I would have been charged. It's stated on the contract any issues must be reported upon check in and we did not find out until later in the reception. Lesson learned however I will never use HRER again and will never refer them to anyone. #PayAttentionToDetails #DirtyDishes #HamptonRoadsEventRentals
