Totally natural and comfortable

Rebecca worked so well with my wife and our families to capture some really nice pictures of everyone throughout the day. I loved working with her as well because of her flexibility with time, cost, and style. I always felt comfortable and confident in front of her lense!

Amazing photographer!

We choose Rebecca and her team to photograph our engagement and wedding day, and both sets of photos came out stunning. Rebecca and her team was extremely easy to work with and their ability to capture the beautiful moments of our special day was nothing short of gold standard. Even though our bridal party and family were late for family photos, Rebecca and her team were patient and cheery through the hectic day, we never felt rushed or annoyed. Needless to say, their care and attention to detail shows in the end product. I’d recommend the package that included a lovely handcrafted album to showcase some featured photos - perfect for showing with family and friends. Would absolutely ask to shoot any special occasions in the future.

Our engagement photos a seasonably warm Nov, over multi locations in bk bridge area. our wedding April 2018. From the moment we spoke on the phone, to the first photos session and our wedding day, Rebecca made us feel comfortable. Kept every element from looking "too staged" and captured what we most valued ie. in engagement session- we wanted NYC character to come through. In our wedding set, invaluable photos of loved ones we never had in one place before, and for the love we felt to be encapsulated without looking false in those images. We felt she was genuinely invested in our day and we looked forward to seeing her at the wedding post-engagement session. Day of Rebecca and her colleague made us feel at ease, never aggravated or stressed about timing.
re pricing and value we appreciate every piece of the process, gorgeous and convenient digital gallery, the quality print and bound albums and her consistent adaptation in our feedback. We also never want to take our own photos again... :)

Perfect for our day! Very personable and responsive! Both my husband and I are SO SO happy with our pictures. They are beautiful and we are so excited to have them as a wonderful reminder of our wedding day. Rebecca was very responsive and professional. What a joy to have Rebecca photograph our wedding! She is so sweet, accommodating, efficient, organized, and talented. She truly captured the most special moments in the best lighting at the right time. My sister adored her, our friends and family said she was awesome, and my husband and I felt like a million bucks in front of her lens.

From the moment we hired Rebecca, it was clear that we'd chosen the best of the best. She put together a tailored, straightforward, and fairly priced package for our two-part wedding—first a private courthouse ceremony, followed by a 175-person wedding a month later—and expertly captured each event. For our private ceremony, she served as our witness AND photographer, and it was a pleasure to have her there with us. During our larger wedding, she again shot all the good moments and then some. She made sure our shot list was checked, waiting patiently while we navigated the busy room, and also found the shots we later appreciated having. Bonus: Her turnaround time was amazing. I think we had both collections within two weeks of each event.

Hire her—she's an excellent listener and communicator, a kind and caring professional, and a skilled photographer who is both flexible and experienced. Rebecca, thank you for all you did for us!

Bec has obviously found her calling in photography. I am absolutely in love with my pictures, she captured my day so perfectly and seamlessly. I have received so much positive feedback from friends and family on the pictures on how breathtaking and perfect they are- and I agree! Bec has such a keen eye for detail and capturing the small moments you weren't able to see but treasure. Looking through each album, I was able to "relive" the whole day as she gave me such a sequential play-by-play in my pictures. If I could do it all over again, I would hire her in a heartbeat! I am so beyond thrilled with my pictures, she absolutely nailed it!

Rebecca is absolutely amazing!! She assisted at my brother's wedding in 2010 and was the main photographer for both my sister's wedding in 2012 and a good friend’s in 2014, so there was no question when we got engaged who our photographer would be. We live out of state, but got married in CT, and Rebecca was great at working with us through e-mail as well as accommodating our travel schedule when we were trying to figure out if we could actually do an engagement shoot. We could not be happier with how both our engagement and wedding photos turned out. Rebecca is professional, super friendly, and helpful (jumping into assist with a dress emergency minutes before leaving for the venue!). She and her assistant were the perfect people to handle our large (and maybe a little rowdy) wedding party. They captured so many amazing, romantic, and even silly moments over the course of our wedding day. We really could not have asked for anything more.

From the moment we met Rebecca on the beautiful September day of our engagement shoot - it was photography love at first sight. She knew exactly what we wanted, had such a whimsical & creative vision, didn't want to give us the cookie cutter images from your cousin's boring 90s wedding, and most importantly - she was super fun and easy to work with! My fiancé (like most men) is not really into taking photos but with Rebecca it could not have been easier to break him out of his shell & for his happiness (& love for me of course) to shine through in the photos. We loved our engagement shoot so much that we even had Rebecca do our holiday photos, we just can't get enough of her documenting our love in such a fun and memorable way! We can't wait for the wedding and to see the lifetime of memories she will capture for us on the most important day of our lives. We love you Rebecca!

Booking Hales Studio was hands down one of the best decisions I made during the wedding process. Rebecca was helpful, professional, affordable (in NY that's hard to find!), easy to work with and a pleasure to be around- which is a major plus on such a stressful day!
Most importantly, HER PICTURES CAME OUT AMAZING! I'm one of those people who don't think they're photogenic (no selfies for me!) but Rebecca's photos are out of control good. Her packages are reasonably priced and I received the photos within 2.5 weeks of the wedding! I've already recommended her to two friends because I was delighted with her services. Look no further- Hales Studio will make your wedding that much better.

We hired Rebecca to do our engagement and wedding photography this past September. She was wonderful! It was very easy to work with her and take direction from her. She captured wonderful moments with a beautiful natural feel. We were very pleased with the end product.

Rebecca recently photographed our engagement and wedding in October 2015. We were immediately comfortable with her when we met, we felt very natural, like we could just be ourselves during our pictures. She has a creative style and artistic approach. During the wedding she listened to all of our requests and feedback about what we wanted to include in our pictures. During the reception and cocktail hour I did not even notice her capturing every little detail and moment . She sent our pictures back within a month and we were thrilled with the finished product! When looking at the photos it was like reliving the wedding all over again, my husband and I were both in tears looking back at our most loved friends and family. We are looking forward to working with Rebecca again for our next event. We've even discussed having her capture our baby photos once we start a family. Highly recommend!

I would recommend Rebecca and Hales Studios to anyone!
Of course everyone wants their pictures to turn out beautifully--which they did, but what was also so great about her service was just her presence! It was so nice to have a photographer who was a calming and light-hearted influence on what can otherwise be a stressful and hectic day :)

Working with Rebecca was such a great experience for both myself and my husband. She was so easy to talk to and so helpful throughout the whole process. She told me to write a list of photos I would want ahead of time because the day of the wedding would be so hectic and she was able to get all of the pictures I requested. Not only is working with her a pleasure, her work is amazing. We have the best wedding photos that last forever.

Rebecca was amazing for our wedding! The customer service she provided was outstanding and it felt as if I had a friend as my photographer while going through wedding planning, taking engagement pictures, and on my wedding day. In addition to the great customer service, our engagement pictures and wedding pictures came out awesome. To this day, I keep getting so many compliments on how great the pictures turned out. I also get reminded from my family, guests, and bridal party how fun Rebecca and Jared were on our wedding day - they made picture taking entertaining and not boring. My good friend booked Rebecca for her wedding and my sister booked her as well - at the end of next year I will be involved in 4 weddings were Rebecca was the photographer! Rebecca joined us as the photographer of our intimate 8-participants wedding at Central Park in NYC.
We're a couple from Tel Aviv, Israel, who came to New York with our close family to marry. For all of us English is not our native tongue, but that did not stop Rebecca from forming a quick connection with us and our families, making them feel comfortable and taking great photos.
From the start, when first talking on Skype, Rebecca was professional and friendly. This combination of these 2 important qualities was evident also in person: Rebecca did her best to capture us at our best while making us feel at ease.
Last but not least - the photos we received are absolutely beautiful, and are the best testimony to the great service we received.

Rebecca was a joy to work with during the stressful time of planning a wedding. She is so sweet and I instantly felt at ease after out first conversation together. We received our photos in a timely fashion after the wedding, and were touched by the accompanying personal note and gourmet chocolate from a chocolatier near her home! Rebecca was able to capture wonderful photos of our smallest details along with the more traditional wedding shots. Her photos really captured all the emotions of us and our guests- from the serious moments to the most fun reception happenings. Glancing through our photos really brings us back to the excitement of our special day.

Rebecca and Jared from Hales Studio were professional and friendly throughout the entire wedding planning process and on the day of the wedding. Their photos captured the romantic indoor lighting and the serene outdoor lighting at the wedding. We were thrilled with the quality of the photographs, as well as the photographers themselves. In addition to the two wedding photographers, Hales Studio had a photographer ran our photo booth during the party. The guests truly enjoyed this experience, and the photos are utterly adorable and well-lit! I would recommend Hales Studio to anyone who wants a young, vibrant photographer (or photo team) who will listen to the customer's desires and provide a beautiful product.

I couldn't give high enough praise to Rebecca and her husband Jared. They did such an amazing job, they were fun and easy to work with, AND they both have such a great eye for beautiful photos. I am so impressed with their overall product (they produced a fabulous engagement album for us). They were a lot of fun at the wedding, and blended into the party very well. I have to say Rebecca is beyond awesome! My mom and I met her at the first bridal show I went to. I fell in love with her photos and really clicked with her and her husband, Jared. The rest of the bridal show I knew I wanted to book them for my wedding—so we did! My husband and I had our engagement shoot done at Elizabeth Park in West Hartford. He isn’t the most photogenic person, but he had a lot of fun. I also did a boudoir photo shoot as a wedding gift for him where Rebecca shot it. She recommended having a shot or two before the shoot to loosen up a bit, but I didn’t need to. She makes you feel so comfortable and if you are having a hard time smiling you can just look at her smiling. She has the most contagious smile! Anyways, Rebecca and her husband were wonderful! Come wedding day, they were so accommodating to all our needs. Every time the photos came out unbelievable (I’m sure you’ve seen for yourself on her website). I plan on keeping in touch with Rebecca for years to come. She is not only a great professional, but a great person. My brother and his fiancé already booked her for their August 2012 wedding. His fiancé cannot wait!

If you book with Hales Studio, you will not just receive beautiful photographs, to look back on, but you will gain a new friendship. You will not be disappointed.

I loved Hales studio portfolio and once I met with Rebecca I knew they were a perfect fit for my wedding day. Her and her husband did an amazing job at my wedding. They were both so easy to work with and even calmed my nerves. I couldnt have been happier with them at my wedding and the pictures are gorgeous. Their prices also seem very reasonable for the quality of their photos. I love them and would recommend them!!

Hales Studio was a joy to work with. We had used them for two previous portrait sessions for our son and our maternity session as well so we knew what to expect and were familiar with their work but they went above and beyond for our wedding photography! I didn't think that was even possible because my husband and I were already completely satisfied from our previous sessions. Our wedding had many details and Rebecca and Jared (our photographers) were very attentive in capturing each element. They are so comfortable to work with too. My husband is on the shy side but doesn't feel the least bit uncomfortable when being photographed by them. I have been to many weddings where the photographers can be very intrusive but not these guys. They blended into our wedding seamlessly. Oh, and did I mention how beautiful their work is?! You could not go wrong with hiring Rebecca Hales as your wedding photographer! She is a true professional and her pictures are absolutely gorgeous! She has a great artistic eye and she really knows how to use light to capture amazing images. She always responded quickly to my phone calls and emails throughout the planning process - something I really appreciated. She showed up on time and ready to go for both my engagement shoot and my wedding. With Rebecca, you have nothing to worry about. She is 100% reliable, and she really goes above and beyond to make her clients happy. She was hands down my favorite wedding vendor, and I would highly recommend her.

Rebecca is one of those photographers that after you work with her, you end up becoming friends. My fiance and I paid for our wedding and we had a strict budget that we had to stick to. When we were looking for photographers we definitely got sticker shock and were worried if we would find someone within our price range. After calling several photographers and leaving messages, I called Rebecca and she was the only one that picked up the phone. We hit it off instantly and I knew that we were in good hands. Rebecca is very reasonably priced but the quality of work is superior. Rebecca was extremely fast in getting our pictures to us. We got our engagement pictures back within 2 weeks of our photo shoot. We got our wedding pictures within 4 weeks of our wedding and got our portfolio in less than 2 months. She captured some very special moments and also made sure to take certain photos that I asked her to take. Above all, Rebecca is a very genuine and caring person. I would and have highly recommended Rebecca. She is just a great person!

When my fiance and I first met with Rebecca, we knew that she was the right photographer for us. Aside from her excellent work, she was so friendly and personable. She was exactly the type of person we wanted with us on our wedding day.
We had a great time with her shooting our engagement shots and loved the end results. She produced a beautiful guest book of our engagement photos for the wedding. Throughout the whole process of planning the wedding, she was prompt in responding to emails about anything concerning the wedding day.
Our wedding photos came out great. It is almost as if she captured every minute of the day. I was so happy with how they came out and how quickly she got them back to me and my husband. I would recommend Hales Studio to anyone planning a wedding..

We hired Hales Studio/Rebecca Hales to shoot our June 2011 wedding. She was amazing! We love our pictures and Rebecca, who we now count amongst our friends.

She dealt with us long-distance (we live in CA and had the wedding in CT) and beared with several schedule changes and complications on our end for the engagement shoot. She was really wonderful, and our photos are fantastic. We honestly have too many to choose from, which is a wonderful 'problem' to have! On another note, Rebecca uploaded our proofs remarkably quickly after the wedding.

My husband recently wrote Rebecca a note that summed up our experience: "We had a great time at the wedding, and part of that was because we knew we were in good hands picture-wise. Now that we're going through the shots, we see we were right. You really captured the day, and I seriously get excited just looking through these. You're a great photographer, and I'm so happy we got friendly with you and got to know you."

I'd book her again in a heartbeat! In fact, one of my bridesmaids already has.

Hales Studio was the perfect choice to capture our special day! The quality and quantity of images exceeded my every expectation! Rebbecca was so easy to work with and we had a blast during our photo shoot. She worked with our budget and helped make sure we got exactly the photos that we wanted of ourselves and our family and friends.

Hales Photo was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. They provided a good value for the numbers and range of photos with two photographers. They listened to what our wants were for our pictures and were enjoyable to have on hand at the wedding. Hales Studio had a very quick turnaround on our online photos in order for us to share them immediately with family and friends. It has been wonderful to continue our relationship with Hales Studio after the wedding as well!
