Selecting Emi as my hairstylist for my wedding was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. She went above and beyond with me, and we tried a few different hairstyles before settling on the perfect look. She was super upbeat and fun to be around, and brought great energy (as well as great looks!) for my entire bridal party. I enjoyed her so much as a professional and person that she is now my regular haircut/colorist. If I could give more than five stars for Emi, I would! -

The most you you've ever been, elevated
Emi is a talented hair and makeup artist, and what makes her so specially suited for weddings is her soulful presence and deep listening.
I wasn't planning to work with a HAMU artist because we were planning a microwedding on a short timeline (less than 2 months). I figured I could do my own because I prefer a minimalist look, plus I didn't have time or budget to find someone. But my family very generously insisted on covering the cost as a gift, so with only two weeks to spare I connected with Emi for an intro consultation.
There were two things I was most concerned about for finding the right fit. First, I wanted to work with someone who would be able to bring out a look that would enhance my minimal/natural style. Second, since I would be the only one getting ready (we didn't have a bridal party), my HAMU artist would be the person I'd spend the most time with on my wedding morning! I wanted someone to be the right personality fit with me too.
When I looked at Emi's portfolio photos, they immediately resonated with me. The photos showed several different brides who each had distinctive looks, and looked very comfortable and relaxed. It intuitively gave me the cue that Emi was really listening to each person and drawing out the qualities and details that made them feel like their best self. And when I connected with Emi over Zoom, it felt like an immediate click.
Actually working with Emi in our preview session and on the day of my wedding went so far above and beyond expectations. Emi's approach is truly collaborative and helped to draw out a vision for how I wanted to look that I wasn't sure how to articulate. Her patience in the preview session created a lot of space to explore and hone in the details. We first tried dialing the drama way up just to see how it might look and feel, even though Emi's stylistic sweet spot is a more natural-elevated soft glam (which is my preference too, and where we landed at the end of the day). Pushing the edge of my comfort zone was a fun process to do with Emi's guidance, and we were then able to pull it back to the level that felt just right.
I absolutely love the way I looked and felt on my wedding day! And having worked with Emi was a transformative experience that gave me confidence to dial up my everyday look with the eyeshadow palette she used.
I also especially appreciated Emi's authentic presence. She brings the right energy for what's needed in the moment. I barely slept the night before the wedding and started the morning tired. She didn't try to amp me up, but rather let me be in a low energy state. We turned on some music and started hair and makeup without talking much... and just letting myself wake up slowly was just what I needed to allow my energy to rise again naturally. I'm describing this because I think anyone would have been tempted to try to emphasize excitement or fun as what I "should" be feeling on my wedding day. But the fact that Emi knew that listening to my body was the right thing for that moment really told me, wow, I could not have chosen someone who'd be a more perfect fit!
I'd sum up Emi's services as being perfect for anyone who's looking for a skillful, talented, collaborative HAMU artist, and an authentic, genuinely caring presence! I'd recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone and everyone! -

Emi was a lifesaver! I booked with another local vendor and felt like the makeup was way too heavy for my face. She took me in a few months before my wedding and exceeded all expectations. I felt SO beautiful, and she was such a warm and consistent communicator. She was flexible, yet provided strong guidance and empowerment. My makeup stayed on all night! I even bought a few of the products she used on me because they were so wonderful (and didn't make me break out). Great news for us sensitive skin girlies! MY HAIR! I felt like a real-life princess. Very Belle-coded lol. Stayed all day, and she provided touch-ups after the ceremony to keep me looking my best! BOOK HER! easy decision and so grateful for her presence while being a bride -

If I could give Emi Navas more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. I found Emi by Googling hair and makeup artists in my area and then checking out Instagram and reviews. From the moment I saw her work, I knew she was incredibly talented. What truly sealed the deal was how professional, warm, and down to earth she was when we met over Zoom. She instantly put me at ease, answered all my questions, and made the entire process feel exciting instead of overwhelming.
From the very beginning, Emi went above and beyond. I received a full hair and makeup preview, on site services at my home on wedding day, and she even came to my venue to touch up my hair and makeup before and after the ceremony. That level of care and attention was incredible.
During my preview, she took the time to really listen to my vision of soft Hollywood glam with red lips. She made thoughtful suggestions without ever making me feel pressured. She recommended extensions, color matched them perfectly, and styled everything beautifully. She even included lashes and application. I asked for Hollywood waves, one of the most challenging bridal styles to perfect, and instead of hesitating, she was genuinely excited to bring my vision to life.
What stood out most was how comfortable she made me feel. Emi does not just do your hair and makeup. She takes care of you. She asked about my life, my fiancé Landon, my boys, and shared about herself too. By the end of our first appointment, I felt like I was sitting with a friend. She is kind, real, warm, and incredibly easy to talk to. Conversation flowed effortlessly, and even moments of quiet felt completely natural.
On wedding day, she was punctual, organized, calm, and in the best mood. She handled everything with such grace, even when it started raining. She calmly told me exactly what to do to protect my hair, fixed me up perfectly once we arrived at the venue, and stayed by my side to make sure I looked flawless for photos and the ceremony.
And when I say she went above and beyond, I truly mean it. She helped me into my dress, helped with my jewelry, adjusted my sticky bra without hesitation, and even offered to help me in the restroom if I needed it. She was my glam artist, emotional support, and personal cheerleader all in one. She even offered to drive me to the venue if I needed it. I truly felt cared for in every way.
The final result was breathtaking. Emi did not just make me look beautiful. She transformed me into the most beautiful version of myself. My hair and makeup lasted all day and night through rain, photos, dancing, and lots of happy tears. She also gave me detailed instructions on how to remove my lashes and take down my hair at the end of the night, and everything worked perfectly.
Knowing Emi was part of my wedding day gave me an overwhelming sense of relief. Feeling confident and gorgeous was so important to me, and she made that happen in a way that exceeded every expectation.
What makes Emi different is not just her incredible talent. It is how she makes you feel. She is calming, encouraging, grounded, and genuinely invested in her brides. Imagine having someone cold or rushed doing your hair and makeup on your wedding day. It would ruin the experience. With Emi, it was the exact opposite. She made the entire process joyful and stress free.
Emi is truly something special, and any bride would be lucky to have her. -

Emi absolutely exceeded our expectations for hair and makeup on my wedding day. She worked with a small wedding party, styling my sister’s long hair and makeup, as well as my mom and a close family friend, and was incredibly accommodating and flexible throughout the process.
All services were done at her salon, but Emi was also very open to being on-site at the venue or hotel if needed, which made planning easy and stress-free. Her professionalism, talent, and calm presence truly stood out.
Everyone was thrilled with the results. My mom even said that if she lived in the area, she would hire Emi full time to take care of all her beauty needs—that says it all.
Emi was an absolute pleasure to work with, and her work made our day even more special. I don’t plan on getting married again, but I highly recommend Emi to anyone looking for exceptional hair and makeup services. -

Emi did a phenomenal job for the hair and makeup for my wedding. Several of us in the bridal party aren’t “makeup gals” and she managed to amplify our natural beauty and not make us feel weighed down from all of the product, yet still produced hair and makeup designs that lasted through all of the inevitable tears, toasty warm weather, and the whole night on the dance floor! She brought a second artist to help take care of all of the bridesmaids, our moms, and myself so we didn’t have to start crazy early. She adjusted the timeline as needed to accommodate a few hiccups in the schedule, and even found time to help my groom style his hair for the day! I absolutely would hire her again for any hair or makeup needs. -

I found Emi last minute and I was SO glad I did! I was skeptical to hire a makeup artist because I wanted to look natural and like myself, but Emi listened to exactly what I wanted and even used my own products that I loved so that I felt like the best version of myself. She did a flawless job and was such a pleasure to work with! She also did my mom's makeup and it turned out GORGEOUS! Would highly recommend for all ages!!! -

I found Emi through The Knot and was immediately impressed by her approach. She included a couple of trials in my quote (which I loved!) so I could test different hairstyles in advance. On the wedding day, she and her team arrived on time, kept us on schedule, and made sure everyone felt beautiful and confident.
One of my favorite parts was that Emi stayed through the ceremony so we could do a quick hairstyle change before the reception—a sleek “party ponytail” that was perfect for dancing the night away. Her talent, professionalism, and kindness made the entire experience seamless. I couldn’t recommend Emi enough to future brides! -

Emi is the absolute best!
I was apprehensive to even get a makeup artist because most of what I'd seen was too heavy for my liking and I was worried about not looking like myself. Emi has forever changed that for me.
I was looking for someone who specializes in natural make up and she came up, since working with her for our trial I have been recommending to her to any friends who want the same thing.
She was so kind, understanding and really took the time to understand what look I was after and how she could achieve that for me. She helped me navigate new things like eye lash & hair extensions. She even did a re-trial when we didn't have enough time to finish my makeup due to a dress alteration appointment I had made. She was so gracious and understanding about my concerns and immediately made changes until I was over the moon!
On the day of, she was such a positive energy and made my girls feels special and pampered. She adjusted things until I was so happy and confident. I cannot express how much joy and happiness she gave me upon my now husbands reaction! It was perfect.
My mom never wears makeup and Emi was so patient and helped her have the best time - her and my MIL came to the wedding beaming and expressing how Emi was so helpful and made them feel pretty.
MUA really play a big role in your day - she came to the venue to make sure my hair and makeup were perfect before I walked down - and I just feel like I had the best one!! -

Above and Beyond! Can't recommend Emi enough!
Emi and her team took such good care of me and my ladies on my wedding day! I felt so beautiful in my final look and my makeup and hair lasted all day and night. I had asked Emi for a look that was natural and made me feel like myself, but elevated, and she completely delivered! I got so many compliments on how lovely the whole look came out, and I couldn't stop gushing over how gorgeous my mom, stepmom, and bridesmaids looked as well! Each person’s preferences were honored and they were so sweet to us. Emi was also so communicative leading up to the wedding weekend, and I had a wonderful time doing my hair and make-up trial with her. On the day of, she was such a calming support during the most stressful period of the day, including delivering my vows to me at the venue when I forgot them at the getting ready location!! Emi and her team were incredible, I can’t recommend them enough! -

Emi really had to heart to make us feel good on our big day, and succeeded fully. Doing a preview session with her was wonderful and she took plenty of time to make sure our hair and makeup corresponded to our expectations and felt like ourselves. She was full of helpful advice to help us figure out what would work for us. On the day of, she will take the time to redo anything necessary to make you feel the best you can about yourself and will be there until the last minute for the last touch. Emi was an absolute joy to work with! We were connected with her through Brush the Salon in Healdsburg and she did hair and makeup for myself, my mom, mother in law and two of my bridesmaids on my wedding day.
