    The perfect Tennessee venue!

    10/26/2024
It has taken me a while to completely process how perfect our wedding day was. There were minor staff changes from the time we booked the venue to our wedding date, but Carter Hach was attentive and made the transition seamless. We and our wedding party opted to stay at the Spring Creek Inn and the Main Inn for the Friday and Saturday of our wedding weekend and I can't speak highly enough of it. The accommodations were perfect and the food was immaculate. We wanted authentic, autumnal Tennessee energy and Hachland Hill delivered perfectly. I will daydream of this place for many years to come. Their event coordinator made sure the day flowed perfectly from the venue's side of things. The natural scenery of the venue allows for you to skip on many of the frilly decorations because the beauty of the land is more than enough! October leaves fell as we said our vows in the rock garden, it truly was the most stunning day. The fire places, the sound of the creek, the family heirlooms in the Inn, every little detail is perfection. If you're looking for a venue that has it all -- this is it

The best wedding venue in Nashville

Hachland Hill is the most unique and beautiful wedding venue in the Nashville area. Our guests were blown away by the scenery, the food, and the quality of service and kindness of the owners and staff here. We are so glad we chose this venue to host our wedding, as it truly made our wedding day so much more unique and special. The venue was also so easy to work with throughout the planning process and executed everything so well.

Dream Venue - Peaceful, Unique, Beyond Gorgeous, Awesome

We had our Winter Wedding here on 2/29/2024 - beyond blessed with our experience! We planned and booked this venue four years prior and we had the first winter wedding in a long time. We visited a few times over the years in all seasons and everytime the venue was so well maintained and a showpiece. The staff was awesome and understanding of adjustments (heaters...lol) Menu choices and actual food was YUMMY... we got the cookbook 'The Hachland Hill Cookbook: The Recipes & Legacy of Phila Hach' and it was so unique to see the stories and recipes alive in the venue. We rented the Spring Creek Inn and was happy to have that as an oasis from the planning and doings that goes into the wedding day. The nature and scenic backdrop that is always surrounding you is magical. My groom/hubby is a hunter at heart... I jokingly said I put him in the site of a deer stand with all the fixings of a wedding for me. I truly can't say enough about this venue... Hachland Hill made our wedding day perfect and memorable. 10/10 recommend **Note: when looking at pics remember that it was a February wedding... the place is even more stunning is Spring, Summer, and Fall**

Whimsical venue, interesting history, peculiar owner

We chose this venue because we wanted to have ceremony, cocktails, reception and the party in one place plus have a space for some to spend the night.
This is a whimsical venue with interesting history and peculiar owner Joe Hach. Depends on your view of rustic vs outdated;-) Some things there are rustic but many are more outdated or will need replacement or coat of paint. Looks good on pictures if the day is sunny.
This venue needs a good and skilled flower decorator- it makes all the difference.
Ask to see samples of the chairs, dinnerware- biodegradable or china, samples of food, even the picture of port-a –potty ; walk the premises carefully.
Note: we were shown a sample chair which was extremely weathered and we almost rented chairs - then I was assured that the actual chairs look better. Well, they were kind of ok but not good.
Dinnerware – we did not like either option (paper plates or porcelain white plates) so we rented chargers, plates and silverware from another company; Silverware - you are not allowed to bring glassware - you may want to rent/buy acrylic stemware to better mimic glass for champagne toast; they have stemless acrylic for an extra charge.
The outdoor port-a-potty turned to be very nice from outside even though they forgot to hook it before the ceremony so it was not flushing initially;-) but was fixed quickly.
We were never offered to taste the food. We chose buffet style since we felt it will better fit the environment. After one pass of all guests the food was immediately taken away which I found quite rude since many people sample during first pass and come for seconds. The food itself was mostly tasty, the fried green tomatoes were a bit soggy, scone appetizers were good, the smoked brisket needed a bit more in a smoker but the smoked chicken was great. My personal favorite was roasted root vegetables. I would have come for more but it was all taken away.
We ended up ordering one extra side –a very good idea. The owner is also a chef and it would have been a nice touch that he served the meats if it did feel like more like he is rationing the food. Was not really appreciated by the families of either side.
I am glad we did not order late night snack.
The bartenders supplied by Hachland Hill were great as was the other staff- very helpful and great to work with.
Lisa - the manager- was responsive and quite helpful and great to work with
As for the lodging - it worked well for what we needed it for. Price was a bit steep for the outdated bathrooms but it worked and it included breakfast. That was again tasty yet rationed by the chef/owner.
Overall, I would recommend it if you are ready to be a bit more creative and like the whimsical feel of the venue. If you end up dealing only with Lisa -or another pleasant manager, you may have very nice experience;-))

    Hachland Hill's reply:

It is our pleasure and our greatest desire to exceed expectations at Hachland Hill, so this comment and its spirit saddens and frankly frustrates us. The mother, who expressed these comments, acted as her daughter’s wedding planner.
I will not go point by point, as every detail of what is included and provided at our weddings is provided in advance to every potential customer as it was to this one.
As to rationing food though…In this case, guests were offered a chicken quarter which weighs on average 11 oz and 6 to 8 oz of sliced brisket, so 1 pound of meat plus sides. We leave the buffet out for as long as guests are coming back, but it isn’t left out all night.
We remember this wedding and especially the bride and groom so fondly, and wish them the very, very best.

    Pure Magic

The moment we first arrived at Hachland Hill, we immediately knew that this property was pure magic and that we had found our wedding venue. From the creek running directly through the ceremony site(s) and reception area, to the historic inn and tobacco barn, and all the vegetation that has made the area so lush and welcoming, the scenery is just breathtaking and our guests couldn’t believe their eyes either. And that’s only the half of it - Carter Hach and his family and team provided our group with incredible hospitality and even more incredible food. I don’t know how Carter does it all so seamlessly but he is an absolute pleasure to work with and remained flexible with us throughout our wedding. We look forward to coming back for another visit - just to get off the grid and eat his incredible cuisine. Couldn’t recommend a more special and perfect place for our wedding - a true gem in Tennessee.

Country wedding less than 30 mins from Downtown Nashville

Hachland Hill was the perfect wedding venue for us! My husband and I were married October 20, 2018. We began planning a year before and looked at several wedding venues before deciding on Hachland Hill. From the moment we stepped onto the property we knew we’d found something special. The venue feels very peaceful and remote, though it is less than half an hour from Nashville. We had our ceremony in the large field and reception in the old tobacco barn/tent. The woods, creek and fall foliage set the perfect backdrop for our October wedding. There are two houses on the property that are rented out for accommodations, so most of our immediate family members were able to stay on site for the weekend which made for a really fun experience. Carter was great to work with throughout the process. He was able to accommodate several visits to the property ahead of the big day (even when I texted him on a Friday night asking if I could come by the next day to show my mom the venue because she was visiting from out of town and wanted to see it). Carter is also the chef and we were very pleased with all of the food options for the weekend, from the rehearsal to the cocktail hour to the reception meal. We had several of our guests compliment the food. Thank you to Carter and the rest of the staff at Hachland Hill for helping us pull of our dream wedding.

    A place you'll never forget

This place now holds a special place in my heart. My husband and I were married October 6th, 2018 at Hachland Hill, but we starting planning two years earlier. We are from Chicago, but wanted a destination wedding in Nashville. The moment we stepped foot on the Hachland property we were in love.
We had around 40ish people stay on property for the entire weekend. Friday night we had rehearsal dinner and I still DREAM about the hot fudge pie that we had. It was the best dessert I have ever had. Afterwards, my closest friends and family that were staying on property when down the hill and had a bonfire with a acoustic jam session with our band (friends of ours also staying on property). It is one of my favorite moments of the weekend (besides the whole getting married thing!).
The day of the wedding I didn't get to see anything complete until I was ready. They did amazing setting up and making sure everything went smoothly. The food was delicious- Great southern food.
The hospitality of Carter and his family was something I will cherish forever. We got to know them on a person level and they are such wonderful people. The venue is absolutely beautiful and my photographer had a blast finding the perfect spots for our pictures.
My friends and family all had a memorable time because of the venue and food. If you are thinking about getting married here- do it! You will not be disappointed.

Joe and Phila Hach were wonderful. The venue is gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the rates were reasonable. Phila was an amazing hostess and she made my family (who stayed on the property) feel extremely welcome. She even made my grandfather an impromptu meal when he arrived because he wasn't feeling well. It was sometimes difficult to get Joe to respond quickly but I eventually figured out to text him. There were some small details about planning the event that were a little stressful with this venue- just things with the set up, but when it got to our wedding day everything went perfectly and I was very happy with our venue choice.

Joe and his staff made our wedding truly magical. The venue itself is so beautiful and does not need a lot of added things. We were thrilled to find a place so peaceful where our entire bridal party and family could stay. The wedding went off perfectly and the food that Joe's staff provided was absolutely amazing. Our rehearsal dinner setting was so beautiful outside on the patio and his waitstaff were the hit of the party! Very professional and willing to get and do anything for you! The wedding day was great and the barn/tent looked amazing. Our friends and family are still talking about how beautiful it was! The ceremony site was to die for too and everything that we could have imagined!

The only real complaint I would have is that when we arrived to set up and move into the property, the Inn was VERY dirty. Also, the barn still had a lot of trash from a previous wedding in it. It was all brought to Joe's attention and he took care of it quickly, however for the amount of money we paid to just be able to move our things into the barn for the wedding - it shouldn't have been an issue.

Again, the venue is beautiful and it was so nice having the one place take care of almost everything for us. Made planning a lot less stressful! Thanks to Joe again and his staff!
