Our wedding experience!!!

Truly just a perfect night. Gwin entertainment was on point for everything. We had a complicated ceremony and he didn’t miss a beat. And the dancing after was exactly what I was looking for. He played everything I requested and really set the mood the way my wife and I wanted. We had gone to a few weddings before ours where the dj’s weren’t super amazing but Gwin entertainment was perfect and better than we could’ve asked for. I highly recommend him for any event!

Great DJ for wedding!

Highly Recommend!! Perfect Music, Perfect Night!

We couldn’t have been happier with Trevor! Communication was excellent from the very beginning, and he made everything so easy and stress-free. He has such a laid-back and friendly vibe, he kept everything organized and on schedule. The music was perfect all night — he read the crowd so well and kept everyone dancing. We highly recommend him — truly a 10/10 experience!

We had some pretty specific requests for our wedding and Trevor was not only accommodating, but he used his expertise to level up the experience for us and our guests. The planning calls were thorough, and he even called to just check in during our wedding planning process. You won't be disappointed!

Great wedding DJ

Trevor was awesome! He reached out early to get a sense of what we were looking for. He has an online system that made it easy to put all the info in and keep it up to date with what we were thinking. He had good advice about timeline for the wedding reception and was very flexible with any special asks we had. The package we got included some lighting, and he executed really well on it in our space. His system sounded great. He kept up with our very age-diverse crowd's tastes and was a pleasant host personality. During the reception, he came to check in with us and our organizers at sensible and thoughtful intervals. He is really chill and seems like he's very comfortable doing his job!

Friendly, professional, flexible, and an expert

Trevor made planning our wedding ceremony and reception a breeze. From custom mixes for songs, blending music perfectly, and a few last minute switches, he was absolutely phenomenal. He was available to answer all of the questions we had as we were thinking through things and was friendly, professional, flexible, and gave great advice. He also provided some extra lighting that really just helped to tie the entire reception space together and really made it feel like a blast. Trevor played a great blend of music to get all of our guests out on the dance floor and having a great time. One of my friends even said her date was dancing and he never dances at events! We cannot recommend Trevor enough to anyone planning a wedding!

Everything you could ask for!

BOOK NOW!! Trevor is the owner of Gwin entertainment and he runs the show from beginning to end. I have been telling everyone to go to him if they need a DJ. I’ve been to lots of weddings, dances, soirées, balls, and more… and no one even comes close to how good Trevor was. He is what a DJ ought to be. Let me give you some reasons!

We had a long introductory call and he told me exactly how the process would look, pricing for different packages, and listened to my needs and desires.
Then he stayed in touch as the months went on, in addition to supplying us with a fantastic website for planning events. The site also has features which recommends song choices for the special events. That’s how I chose my father/daughter dance and my husband chose his son/mother dance!

Then at the wedding, when it all comes to a climax! Trevor engaged everybody in the crowd, played a wonderful selection of music, and mc’d perfectly. His transitions were awesome and kept us on our feet, in a good way!
My granma (who holds high standards) told me more than one time now it is the best wedding she has been to, and that the music was just wonderful. I not only heard that from her, but peers as well! Which speaks to how well Trevor caters to a crowd.

He ran with some last minute requests that I made for activities and made us feel like this really was our show to run and he was there to support however needed. Which was beautiful to have.

TLDR; Trevor is amazing not only with music selections/timing but also with all the intangibles that makes a DJ stellar.

Best Choice!

We are so glad we chose Trevor / Gwin Entertainment for our wedding! He was extremely communicative and personable from the beginning. We loved his online system for planning ahead and it really made it easy to organize our playlists. Even better, he was a huge asset on our wedding day and made our day go smoothly. We had to roll with Plan C due to weather which was never a plan from the beginning and he just went along with it. And to even top it off he went shopping for a new “beachy” shirt to go along with our theme which was completely unnecessary! You can’t go wrong hiring Trevor for your wedding!!

We had a wonderful experience working with Trevor. He is very professional, and knows his stuff. Definitely above and beyond our expectations. The dance floor was full all night, and his announcements kept everything running smoothly. I would highly recommend choosing Gwin Entertainment. Class A all the way

Trevor was amazing to work with. He walked us through everything via phone meetings. Very helpful and professional. Day of, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Packed Dance Floor

We choose Gwin Entertainment as they were a preferred vendor at our venue and we are so glad we did. Gwin was easy to talk to and asked great questions to get to know us as a couple. We were a pretty easy couple when it came to song selection. We let Trevor do his thing and our guests loved it. The dance floor was packed the entire time and we had family and friends dancing to the end. Our guests had a blast and it showed in the pictures and on Trevor's face. We highly recommend him.

He is a great and professional wedding dj!

We hired Trevor to be out October 2nd wedding dj and it was the best decision! We had a lot of older people there who didn’t like dancing, so he did awesome with the mood music, but also played some songs that others weren’t afraid to get up and dance to! He kept us on schedule and came up with great songs when I was at a loss!

Wonderful DJ at an Amazing Wedding

Trevor did amazing! He would keep in contact with us and made sure we knew what we could get from him. He double checked that we had everything we wanted for the wedding. His website was very easy to use and we could always go back to it for a reference.
Trevor showed up early to the wedding and got everything set up in perfect timing. He helped guests have a wonderful time and made everything easy!

Flexible, adaptable, professional DJ

Trevor was a pleasure to have for my ceremony and reception. There were many last minute changes and Trevor adapted quickly and promptly to them. The music selection was on key and there wasn't a moment the dance floor was empty. Our guests had a great time!

Amazing! Best dj ever!

Trevor was absolutely amazing! He had no problem switching over our contract when we had to cancel our original wedding date in May due to Covid. He made sure the microphones were clean & sanitary in between everyone speeches, and also created a contactless request form on each table that guests could submit for songs.

He is very organized, and listens to what you are looking for when it comes to music at your wedding. He did an excellent job of announcing things all throughout the night, and making sure things stayed on track. He got people out onto the dance floor from my family I never thought would be dancing! He is very good at choosing the right song at the appropriate time and making sure everyone is having fun! Trevor knows what he is doing 100% and I will definitely be recommending him to everyone.
I could not have imagined our wedding night with out him as our DJ!!

Very Happy

Pros:
Personable (groom's family enjoyed sitting with him at dinner), professional, played all of our "must play" songs and mixed them impressively well, helped all events and announcements run smoothly. His pre-wedding meeting with us helped us picture how everything was going to flow and think carefully about the details because he asked all of the right questions about logistics and the tone of the wedding. He listened and executed our vision! He was also very flexible when we asked our friend to play guitar and sing during the ceremony.

Highly recommended dj

We used Trevor for our DJ and were absolutely thrilled with him and his services! He had any music we asked for and made special mixes for us to dance to! Everyone enjoyed the music throughout the night and he made sure everything stayed on schedule! He had a lot of great equipment available for us to use! The uplighting, microphones for outside, dance floor lighting etc! Definitely recommend!!! My wife was very happy with how easy he was to contact and his website made things very easy to plan!!! Amazing DJ and experience

Trevor was an amazing DJ!! He had a lot of cool features to offer with uplighting, floor lighting and even a special custom dance floor light! He was very communicative, personable and friendly! He made our first dance very special by creating a special mix of all our favorite songs! HIGHLY recommend! He made our whole day go smoothly and everyone loved the music! Just right

Trevor added just the right touch to our special day (Ask about the special light show-we had a monogrammed swimming pool!!). Never intrusive but always keeping the energy and vibe positive and flowing. Very professional, early to set up, flexibly flowed with the mood. We did all of the fun "things" for a wedding but never felt like we interrupted or got away from having a good time.
Knows all the vendors in the area and can help coordinate and pick winners for your event too.

Guests had a Ball at our Wedding!

We hired Trevor Gwin, of Gwin Entertainment, to be the DJ and MC at our wedding a couple of weeks ago. Trevor was really easy to work with and had helpful suggestions for music to go along with different parts of the wedding (bouquet toss, garter removal, garter toss, etc). He had different sound systems for each room of our venue (we had ceremony in one location, cocktail hour outside in a courtyard, and reception in a ballroom), and he set up the sound systems before the event so no one had to see him running back and forth with equipment or cords. It was flawless! He was able to customize our processional song so it was longer. He is an excellent trouble-shooter! Seating took longer than anticipated and Trevor had additional music on hand to extend the music associated with the seating/ushering time. We had a belly dancer and she sent him her music files and he had them all queued up for her to make a dramatic entrance! Our wedding was so much fun and people were on the dance floor for the entire night!! Trevor was a fantastic MC as well! He called ahead to go over the pronunciations of all of our wedding party names. He also provided uplighting. I was happy with the effect the lights had but they were pink and I specifically asked for white or off white. We just went with it and it looked lovely anyway 😊 In summary, we really felt very confident in Trevor’s abilities and our wedding was just like we dreamed it would be - perfect!

I would recommend Gwin Entertainment for anyone looking for a true professional to DJ their wedding. Trevor was very easy to work with. He was responsive, knowledgeable, accommodating, and truly made us feel at ease. He was not over the top and did a great job communicating with the crowd during our reception. He took all of our request into account and read the crowd during the entire reception, adjusting the music accordingly. We wanted our wedding to be one where everyone was dancing most of the reception and Trevor helped make that happen!

Trevor was the DJ at my wedding just over a week ago. He is very easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and courteous. He offers the best value in the Hampton Roads area. We spoke to several DJs before making our decision, and most treated us like we were just another paycheck to them. Others charged far more than Trevor and offered way less. Trevor also takes the time to make a detailed timeline of the day, which ended up informing our photographer, day-of coordinator, and caterer. It was great. He will also act as MC and make announcements as needed. He is able to read the room and play music that will get people up and dancing. I highly recommend his services.

Trevor was fantastic from beginning to end. We had an unusual wedding in that half of our guests were Brazilian. Trevor had no problem adapting to our specific needs and he played both Brazilian and American songs, and even did some research and talked to other DJs who had done Brazilian weddings before to prepare. We also had very specific requests for the ceremony and the timing of the music and he made it all come together perfectly. He kept the party going and had people on the dance floor all the way until the last minute.

If you are looking for a professional and accommodating DJ for your wedding or any special event, this is the DJ for you. We met, went over our playlist, as well as a do-not play list, discussed the timelines and music to be played at certain points throughout the ceremony and everything went perfect. The provided entertainment was perfectly orchestrated to coincide with all of our plans and there wasn't a dull moment during the reception. If you do not use this DJ service you will be missing out on an affordable and enjoyable experience.

Trevor is amazing! During planning, my husband and I found that the most difficult thing was picking the music. Trevor was right there with amazing suggestions. He listened and understood what we both wanted in music and put together an awesome play list. Everyone was happy and on the dance floor, he kept the night flowing perfectly and accommodated everyone! If you ever have a need for a DJ, Gwin Entertainment should be your first call. Worth every penny and then some!!!

Gwin Entertainment was an excellent choice for our destination beach wedding. We're from Ohio and were planning a Sandbridge Beach wedding trying to find vendors online and Gwin was the first vendor I felt completely comfortable booking first. He answered every email and call very quickly and was very accommodating with our limited beach house space. He played everything we previous requested plus so much more! He took in the fact that we were children of the 90s and played some amazing stuff without being prompted! So fun. Timing was also a strong aspect of Gwin Entertainment. He played our first dance songs and gave time for speeches when asked to jump ahead of schedule. Very easy going and lots of fun on the mic. Definitely recommend.

Can’t express how amazing Trevor was! We literally could not of asked for more. So pleased with everything he did. Perfect song choices and he had a great feel for the crowd. Because he was so good, we didn’t stress out at all with the music. He also had great suggestions for games as well! He went above and beyond our expectations and we’re deeply grateful. We were very pleased with Trevor as the DJ for our wedding! He was great from the start being responsive and working with us and all our questions. Since we live 3 hours away from Va Beach, he was very flexible with talking with us over the phone and via email since we couldn't meet in person as easily. He DJ'ed our special day like a pro and we couldn't be happier!! The dance floor was full the whole night and we as well as all our guests had a great time! Everyone said how much fun they had. He played the variety of music that we wanted and had great equipment and lights! He comes very highly recommended! We will be sure to tell anyone we know getting married in the Va Beach area to call Trevor for their DJ needs!! You will not be disappointed!!

We got married in early September 2017 and Trevor was amazing! I cannot say enough positive things about experience with him. He met with us twice before the wedding and help guide us on the overall flow of the wedding, order of events, music for each part of the evening, and he gave us a wide variety of options. He emailed all of our vendors to let them know the timeline for our wedding day and answered my 1 million questions. Truely a great DJ, I received a ton of compliments and can say that he was absolutely perfect for us! Would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Trevor did an outstanding job DJing my son's wedding at The Inn at Warner Hall, in Gloucester, VA. He was very professional and well organized. Trevor did a great job. He coordinated with us ahead of time to make sure he played everything we wanted and to understand how we wanted to reception to go. He picked great songs and really kept everything running smoothly throughout the night with his song selection.

Our wedding also had a number of hiccups mostly due to weather, and Trevor was great at responding and working with the other vendors to ensure that everything went well.

Trevor came highly recommended from our venue and we had a great experience working with him! Trevor was great at answering all of our questions and giving music suggestions. He also coordinated with our other vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page about our timeline which helped everything run so smoothly. Trevor set up a call with us a couple of weeks prior to the wedding where we talked through music preferences, how to pronounce everyone’s names, and our overall vision for our reception entertainment. Besides the major songs (first dance, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance) we gave him full control over selecting the music and our guests were on the dance floor all night long because he did such a great job! Trevor was great to work with and we highly recommend his services!

Booking Trevor with Gwin Entertainment was one of the easiest decisions throughout our wedding planning process! We knew that for our wedding we wanted to have great entertainment and a DJ to keep the party going! We met with Trevor several times to discuss all aspects of our ceremony and reception so that there were no 'what ifs' or questions! Gwin Entertainment did a wonderful job at our wedding. I actually got married in a hurricane and Trevor was sensitive to the needs of the guests and rolled with all of the punches that were thrown that night. He stayed the entire time (even though most of our guests had to leave because there was so much flooding and closed roads) so that he could finish a job well done. He was professional, helpful and definitely made our wedding a blast. I was really grateful that he took the time to listen and find out our desires before the wedding. He sat with me and my husband so that he could get an idea of who we were and what we wanted. AND he took all of our requests. On top of that, anything we didn't tell him - he filled in the gaps beautifully. I am so grateful for hiring Gwin Entertainment and I would highly recommend him again. He took the initiative to work alongside our caterer, photographer and cake person so nicely. He even emailed all of the other vendors a timeline so that everyone would be on the same page. We booked Trevor for our October wedding and he was one of the best decisions we made! Trevor was excellent from the first phone calls, to follow up emails, to meeting with us a few weeks prior to the wedding to discuss final details to the day of the wedding! Win with Gwin!! Trevor did a great job mixing smooth uptempo jazz with some 80s and Latino music. He was an excellent emcee for the reception. He is the consummate professional, well prepared for the day of the outside ceremony. He is easy to work with and has a website that allowed us to pick our music and artists. He had every one of our guests dancing which is what a good DJ should be able to do. He suggested a change to the flow of events that kept any guests from feeling bored. His people skills and relaxed emcee abilities made our wedding more than an event . . . He made it an unforgettable memory for us. :)

Working with Trevor was an absolute dream come true! My husband and I were VERY hesitant about hiring a DJ. I have seen wedding receptions go downhill because the DJ had his own agenda and a personality that overshadowed the event. From the first moment we spoke with him on the phone, we knew Trevor was our guy. He was all about what we wanted for our reception, and what worked for us as a couple. My husband and I really felt like Trevor made an effort to get to know us, even though we were just clients. He is so personable and professional, and listened patiently to all of our requests. It was very important to me to have a family-friendly event, as I had many young cousins attending, and Trevor made that happen and then some. The little ones couldn't stay away from the dance floor! He kept the evening going, his song choices were great, the lighting was beautiful, and we are STILL getting compliments about him. His website is very user-friendly and makes it easy for couples to pick songs they have to have at their reception, and the ones they definitely don't want to hear. He also made it so easy to set up a timeline, which I definitely needed some help with. Trevor was also kind enough to work with our budget, and I honestly feel like we heavily underpaid him, that's how good he was. I cannot recommend him highly enough. If you choose Gwin Entertainment, I assure you, you will not be disappointed. The only thing I don't like is that I don't have another event coming up that I can hire him for!!!

Trevor was referred to us by a friend and what a great choice. Trevor was always available to provide feedback and make suggestions. We found Trevor through a very high recommendation from our venue and we could not have been happier! Every time we spoke with him he was absolutely on it and a pleasure to talk to (we had a blast just chatting him up in general).

We had a couple of unique requests, one of which was playing Richard Cheese during dinner, and he was completely game and excited about it. He ran with it and people absolutely loved it! He followed our request to a T, just subtle background music that if people started to pay attention they would get a good laugh in. We got so many compliments on our dinner music as well as during the dancing. He read the crowd perfectly.

After the first dance, Trevor called every one up to the dance floor and people swarmed! A number of people came up to me and said A. They had never seen so many people actually go to the dance floor when a DJ opened it and B. this was the first time they had been asked by their spouses to dance! I am not a dancer by and stretch of the imagination but the playlist was infectious, I think I danced more Sunday night than I ever have in my entire life. His package also came with a lighting tree which was not your typical DJ lights because he had it synced up to the music so even the lights were dancing along to the beat. It was awesome. However, my favorite moment of the night was when he played our last song “Don’t Stop Believing” (it was one of my must plays lol) we had pretty much everyone left on the dance floor singing at the top of their lungs having a blast, it was an unforgettable moment.

He also has a great website/program that you can input your time line and vital information for him but also you can see his entire music library and select must play, do not play and requests.

I would recommend Gwin Entertainment to any one, he reasonably priced and the experience is priceless.

Trevor was very responsive to email and phone calls. He discussed the timing and plan for the wedding and ceremony and made sure he knew all of our needs before the wedding day. Trevor was awesome! He really knew what he was doing.. dealing with an anxious control freak bride isnt easy, but he is so kinda and understanding. As unorganized as i ended up being, Trevor never let that worry him or upset him! He kept things moving, kept everyone involved and even kept me calm through the entire thing.. Not to mention i forgot my garter (worlds worst bride) and he kept things moving so smoothly only a few family members even realized we skipped that part! Trevor worked closely with us to provide exactly the type of music, sound system and ambience we wanted for our wedding reception! Trevor assisted with the types of microphones we needed for the ceremony and arrived very early at the hotel to set up and test the sound system and mikes even though he was only responsible for the music at the reception. He played a great variety of music that had all ages on the dance floor for the entire reception. Trevor provided the opportunity to pre-select the playlist and met with us in person and had phone conferences to be sure everything was perfect. Very professional in all aspects and made sure we had a fantastic reception!

Trevor was fantastic! I can't say enough wonderful things about him! He followed our instructions to a tee (didn't play any songs we didn't ask for and played every song we requested at just the right time). And he was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend!

Trevor was amazing... He was responsive, listened to what we wanted, asked the right questions, and a true professional. In addition, Trevor provided uplighting for our reception. The lighting looked beautiful and was a fraction of the cost other vendors quoted us! We couldn't be more pleased with Gwin Entertainment!

Trevor did an amazing job at our wedding reception!! He was highly recommended by Waterman's in Virginia Beach for private events and I'm so glad he was available!! He uses a very cool online planning login so I was able to choose certain "must-play" and preferred songs as well as fill in the details for the schedule of events, announcements, etc. I was able to choose different genres of music for the cocktail hour, dinner and dancing portions of the evening and he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in his recommendations. I wasn't able to meet with him prior to the event, so he was very accommodating and quick to schedule a phone consultation and we discussed my preferences thoroughly- I was so glad because he thought of a lot of things I hadn't considered!! We did not want an overly loud or flashy DJ or a lot of announcements and he completely understood that and was absolutely perfect! He read the crowd and seemed to know exactly what to play. We had an awesome night, and I would highly recommend Trevor and Gwin Entertainment!!

Trevor was an amazing DJ!!! We had a day wedding and so many people told us no one would dance... Boy were they wrong he played amazing music that everyone loved no matter the age they were up dancing! I had to do a few last minute changes since nothing ever goes as planned and he went with it. He worked amazingly with our coordinator and kept us on schedule. I could not have asked for a better DJ!!!

I thought Trevor was an excellent DJ and I would highly recommend him! He took the time to sit down with me to make sure everything went smoothly. When I needed suggestions he took the time to explain and suggest ideas. He was very thorough and had all my guests dancing all night! Great guy and great entertainment!

Trevor was absolutely perfect and did everything we could have hoped for and more for our family event. His style was exactly what our daughter wanted. He played everything she wished and worked the crowd perfectly with his musical selections and directions. He was wonderful with all of us. People have not stopped commenting on how much fun they had at the party and I totally credit Trevor with that.

I think if you speak with Trevor directly you will find him accommodating, professional, flexible and very reasonable. I just wish I had more time to speak with him on the wedding day. All the music he played was great, guests commented how perfect it was and when we had to interrupt his flow for a special dance, he never hesitated. Great job!

Trevor was awesome to work with and put on a great show for all of us at Warner Hall. The dance floor was packed all night long and he did a great job keeping the party going as he was nice enough to come DJ our after party as well! So much fun and highly recommend!

Our wedding was in Norfolk, VA but we lived in Charlottesville so, most of our communication leading up to the wedding was long distance. Trevor was very easy to work within this capacity and when we finally met him in person, it was exactly as we expected! He was amenable to our suggestions, highly confident yet unassuming and very professional. He was able to translate our ideas and wishes to a seamless sequence of events! His style of emceeing and his playlist was perfect.

Trevor was the DJ for our wedding reception and he did an excellent job! He met with us prior to the event to ask us our preferences and get a feel for the type of atmosphere we wanted. He made suggestions and definitely knew what he was talking about! The reception was a hit with a crowded dance floor. I can't tell you how many guests have said to us in the weeks following the wedding, "You had an awesome DJ!" or, "The dancing was great at your wedding! He made our reception into a night to remember! Just book him!

Trevor is wonderful!! He was very open, organized, and proactive when it came to planning the reception. So much so that I feel he did a better job than my day-of coordinator! He was super helpful as we were planning, and he took a lot of stress off our shoulders with his helpful advice and expertise. We let him choose the music throughout the night, and it made for a great night of dancing (He even got the people in my family who don't dance up on the dancefloor. I couldn't believe it!). He also did a wonderful job with introductions and making announcements as the night went on. Honestly, I feel like he's one of the main reasons our reception turned out to be such a great night. He's super nice and always willing to work with you, and he has a lot of experience that is super helpful when planning a great wedding reception. Thank you, Trevor! 100% recommend!

Trevor Gwin was an excellent vender and he did a wonderful job as our DJ for our wedding. I would highly recommend him to anyone! He is very personable and is very easily going. Is willing to be the life of the party or willing to take the backseat. He is very flexible and willing to do what you request of him when it comes to talking during events. He is very good with coming up with a playlist when you give him the general outline of the music you would like. All and all a really wonderful guy!

Great Wedding Experience!

Gwin Entertainment services were amazing! In addition to music, he provided uplighting, projected our names, and 2 outdoor setups! He even provided our officiate with a wireless mic, so we did not need a microphone to say our vows. A link was also provided that allowed us to add our favorite songs for dancing and songs for the different events within the wedding (ceremony, reception entrance, cake-cutting etc.) My guests were really impressed with our D.J.!
