In search for a DJ, we didn't necessarily know what we wanted but we definitely knew what we didn't. In our search, we came across GVE and interviewed Skyler to see if he was our fit. He asked us great questions off the bat, was transparent in his pricing and options and was open to recommending other vendors in the area for some of our other needs. Throughout the process, he helped us with song choice, cropping songs to meet our timeline and became the emcee of the night. He stuck to the timeline, got the speakers queued to speak and overall kept the energy high all night. He also provided a lapel mic and hand-held for the ceremony so everyone could hear our vows and our officiant. Lastly, I provided a clip of me speaking to my future husband that I hoped he would play before I walked down the aisle. He went above and beyond by overlaying my voice on the song I would walk down the aisle to have a natural transition. It was a beautiful touch and brought my vision to life. Overall, I would recommend Skyler as a 10/10 and would hire him again in a heartbeat.Gunnison Valley Entertainment's reply:

Skyler and his assistant helped make our wedding day SO special. They went above and beyond every request, and even helped work out a few kinks we had with day-of timeline and with other vendors! We heard so many good things from our guests about GVE not only the day off, but even weeks after our wedding! Our guests praised how fun and energetic he was, and how he kept the dance floor busy! Gunnison Valley Entertainment was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding! From our very first interaction, Skyler was incredibly timely, enthusiastic, and kind in their communication, providing us with all the information we needed to feel confident in their abilities. On the day of the wedding, he truly worked his magic - the dance floor was packed all night long as Skyler kept the energy high and had everyone up and moving. We received so many compliments from our guests about how much fun they were having thanks to the fantastic music selection and Skyler's engaging personality. DJ Skylar from Gunnison Valley Entertainment was everything we hoped for and more. From the ceremony to the last dance, he kept everything running smoothly and brought such great energy to our day.
He read the crowd perfectly, kept the dance floor packed, and made sure the whole night felt personal and fun. We really appreciated how professional, responsive, and easy to work with he was throughout the entire planning process.

We recently had Skyler as the DJ for our wedding in the Gunnison Valley and he was nothing short of expectational from the first call to closing down the dance floor. In the scoping calls he was an open book, yet very professional - sharing pertinent background and experiences in a crisp and friendly way.
The pre-wedding prep is where Skyler may have shined most - between a questionnaire and gentle guidance he was able to nail down all the key details from start to finish (there's a lot of details to work through - having a good DJ help is key!!). Further, he even stopped by the venue with us and somehow ended up helping us think though our table set up… way beyond your typical DJ, but certainly an indication of a genuine human! He was also great for the big day - arrived well in advance to have all of his equipment positioned, brought the energy to the dance floor, and played the requested balance of songs for our setting. I would highly recommend Skyler as your Western Slope DJ!!!Gunnison Valley Entertainment's reply:
