Hi energy, crowd pleaser

I hired Irresistable Groove for my daughter’s wedding reception in Greensboro, NC this past weekend. The entire process working with Lee was seamless. He communicated well throughout and the band learned a new song last minute for the father/daughter dance. He even provided a saxophone procession leading guests to the reception. Lee and his band members kept the energy high all night and the dance floor was packed the entire time. I will definitely be contacting them for future events!

Best wedding band ever! We're so glad we picked Irresistible Groove to provide the music for our special day. They did an outstanding job keeping the energy high and keeping people on the dance floor. The absolute best!

I'm a professional musician and I own a nationally acclaimed award-winning music venue. My now wife is a wedding and events coordinator. For any band we were going to hire, the stakes were definitely going to be high. I have a lot of friends in really great bands but we decided to stay away from using our friends and take a chance on a band we didn't know that lived in the area where we were having our wedding. My wife got ahold of the East Coast Entertainment Booking Agency which her company often uses for weddings where we live. I gave her a price range and a description of what I felt we needed. Soon after I was sent a list of bands from the company and I, of course, was EXTREMELY picky. I also had to consider a list of songs that could cover everyone from the younger crowd on up to the relatives who were in their 90s. As I browsed down the list of bands some would seem corny, or had singers that I felt were trying too hard, or singers I just plain didn't like, but as I got further down, I put on Irresistible Groove's promo video and I knew that I found what I was looking for! To me, the price was great and their song list had everything we could have wanted for our wedding! I really loved the singer's voice. At the same time, in fulfilling such a vast song list, other people in the band could also take the lead on singing. Some would also switch to different instruments so that they could seamlessly nail down the many different sounds and styles of such a vast song list authentically. My reception entertainment was now covered! Yay!!! However... I still needed some form of entertainment for my cocktail party which was to take place before that. I was looking for a very dynamic Jazz Trio. Sure enough, they assured me they could do that with some of their members and the add-on price to make that happen was fantastic! Fast forward to the wedding... The Jazz trio started right after our ceremony and were completely legit!! They had no music tablets or sheets in front of them anywhere and they were an excellent fit for the cocktail party vibe! I knew with the way these guys could swing some Jazz that they were truly top-level pro musicians! Soon after the cocktail party we walked in as Mr. and Mrs. for our first dance at the reception which the band executed perfectly. Once dinner was over, the lights went down and they instantly brought the party to life!! They literally NEVER stopped playing and everything they did musically was amazing!! It was a ball of energy from start to finish! Their sound levels we're great! (That's a big thing for me and my Mom as well) They we're so accommodating with anything I asked of them and I honestly could not have found a better, more professional band for my wedding! They completely blew my expectations away!! I am now a fan for life and I'll be recommending them to everyone I know! BOOK THEM!!! You'll be glad you did!

Best wedding band ever!

WOW! I don't even know where to begin with a review for Irresistible Groove... This band is incredible and has it all! Music is so important to us and we were blown away by Lee and the members of the band. Their setlist variety is huge and they are willing to expand for special requests. When we came to them with an idea for a New Orleans style exit Lee was excited to help us fulfill all our wedding dreams. We had guests dancing that have NEVER been on the dance floor and one guest literally stood there all night and filmed them because he 'had to show everyone how great they were'. I could cry thinking about how perfect our night way and IG was a huge contributor to that. They are fun, professional, communicative and most importantly truly want all your wedding dreams to come true. We want to get married again just to hire this amazing band.

Perfect Wedding Band

Irresistible Groove played my wedding in Asheville, NC on 9/1/23. I can't sing their praises enough. They were absolutely fantastic. They played a very specific setlist based on our asks and were the talk of the wedding. They also did an amazing job of running the show and ensuring the event had a professional feel and energy. Can't recommend them enough - they are top-notch musicians and great to work with. Book them now!

Great Band

The Irresistible Groove played at my daughter’s wedding on June 17th. Absolutely fabulous. They are all very talented musicians and several of them are accomplishes singers. They got everyone on the dance floor for two straight hours. Amazing energy. Many of our guests said this was the best band they ever heard at an event. I would agree. Their play list ranged from 1980s to today. I have hired many bands and this group is the best. Plus, they are easy to work with.

Best Wedding Band!

Irresistible Groove was an amazing choice for our wedding band! We still have guests raving about them and we have been married for a month! They were so great that our venue staff were all dancing behind the bars and we had a full dance floor the entire night! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fun night of dancing & a wide range of songs/vocals!

Awesome experience!

Irresistible Groove is absolutely wonderful. They performed at my daughter’s wedding and we could not have been any more pleased! They play any type of music and nail it every time regardless of whether it’s instrumental, jazz, country, pop, rock, hip-hop, ….they do it all. We were amazed and our guests were equally impressed. They performed at the ceremony portion with sax and guitar, performed couple’s first dance, father/bride, mother/groom dances, instrumental during dinner, and then got nearly everyone out on the dance floor after dinner. with a variety. They also MC’d the evening for us. I truly did not have to worry about keeping everything on our planners timeline. They stayed on point. Highly recommend! They will make your wedding perfect!

Irresistible Groove did it all

Irresistible Grove was incredible. The band played an excellent show at our wedding reception, ranging from oldies to recent hits. They brought great energy, played a 2.5 - 3 hour set, and even learned a song or two as special requests. Beyond the full band playing at the reception, we hired Lee and his team to manage the sound for our entire day -- managing the sound system during our ceremony, setting up speakers and running our playlists during cocktail hour / dinner, and kindly MCing introductions for the wedding party and other programming. They exceeded our expectations, and many of our guests complimented them on how awesome they were. Could not recommend highly enough!

Phenomenal band

If you’re considering Irresistible Groove as your band, this is your sign… do it!!!! We did A LOT of research on bands in the North Carolina area. We wanted a group that would keep people on the dance floor the entire night and a group with a large play list. I’m telling you, no one left the dance floor once they started playing. People have been raving about them ever since!!! They did an amazing job! It was such a fun night and a huge part of it was this band. They have great communication, talent and are just a good group of people. I highly recommend them for any event but especially your wedding!!!

Best Band Ever

This band is hands down the best wedding band i’ve ever heard. They know exactly how to read the room and play what the crowd wants to head. The manager is super nice and timely with his responses and flexible with whatever you want. Everyone at our wedding was raving about how amazing they were and one guest even booked them for an event the next weekend on the spot. I would book this band over and over again without a second thought.

This Band is on Fire!!

Without a doubt, this band gets all 5 stars! They learned our first dance song and absolutely crushed it! We've continued to get messages from all our friends and family about how much fun and amazing the band was throughout the entire night. My brother, when he gets married, plans to hire them as they are a guaranteed favorite part of any wedding night!

Fantastic!

After endlessly scouring the internet for wedding bands, we decided on Irresistible Groove for our daughter's wedding. Based on their promotional videos, we felt pretty certain they would be a good fit for our crowd but as we have experienced in the past, it's really hard to know how a band will perform until you actually see them live. I'm struggling to find the words that could possibly describe their talent but all I can say is the minute they started playing everyone was BLOWN AWAY!! Literally, our guests stopped dead in their tracks with their mouths open looking at each other in disbelief. They were SO GOOD! Irresistible Groove is not your average "wedding band." Lee, the band leader and saxophonist, and the entire band are all extraordinary musicians not to mention really nice guys. There is not one weak link in the group and having several musicians and passionate music lovers as guests at the wedding, this was not an easy crowd to please. Everyone was so awestruck that at times our event felt more like a concert than a wedding reception! Lee and the band did an equally amazing job of emceeing the evening, intuitively knowing when to quietly slip into the background, and when to get everyone up dancing and having fun!! Simply remarkable. Clearly, I've gone from that person who rarely writes a review to gushing about Irresistible Groove but they are worthy of every word! Thank you again, Lee. You and the band made our event memorable and for that we are grateful.

Hands down the best band ever!!

Irresistible Groove made our wedding UNFORGETTABLE. They brought the best energy all night long and didn't even take a break! Our guests are still raving about what a great time they had and it speaks for itself when the entire wedding is on the dance floor all night long! Lee reached out ahead of the wedding to make sure they could learn our first dance song and understand the types of music we wanted played and with very little direction they absolutely crushed it! The energy all night was next-level and THEIR VOICES AND ARTISTRY!!!! It was insane - you never knew a band was covering these Prince, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder songs. We are still in awe and cannot say enough of a thank you for them making our special night so memorable.

Could Not Have Asked For a Better Wedding Band!

Irresistible Groove was unreal at our wedding. Our goal was to have everyone on the dance floor as much as possible and this band made that so easy. These guys are professionals in all regards. They clearly have done a lot of weddings because the wedding party introductions and all of their transitions were so well done. They played some amazing jazz during our dinner hour and then immediately turned it up when dinner was finished and we were ready to dance. Lee, the point of contact within the band, was super easy to work with and made me very confident going into our big day that we hired the right band. We asked them to learn a specific Bruce Springsteen song just a few days before our wedding that wasn't on their regular song list, they played the song so well! We couldn't have asked for a better band for our wedding and highly recommend them to anyone looking to have a great time!

Young and old never stopped dancing! Tremendous!

Wow! Irresistible Groove lived up to their 5-star ratings! There are usually two camps when it comes to music for a wedding reception = DJ vs Live Band. The DJ crowd usually points to the fact bands can't play the music we want to dance to, etc. Well, there is nothing like a live band and after the night was over, the DJ crowd were converts to live bands! These guys were the best! They had a long song list we could select from, and even if it wasn't on the list, they still learned and played the songs we requested (for father/daughter dance, etc.) We had an eclectic group of people at our reception...they never left the dance floor and were all singing word for word. IG new the crowd well and served up a great night!

Lee was great and very welcoming and made it easy for us to contract and not worry about anything. They also helped with the actual ceremony playing background music, etc.

Best Wedding Band!

Our original wedding date was 2020 and pushed a year due to COVID. The Irresistible Groove was amazing and flexible during this process. Working with Lee in planning was tremendous. They were professional & experienced. They did a perfect mix of songs from different periods to cater to all guests. I have nothing but 100% positive things to say about them - for days after the wedding I had guests complimenting the band for keeping the energy up and making our night everything we had hoped for. Our only regret is not being able to have them go another hour due to outdoor noise ordinances!

Incredible Band!

Irresistible Groove is hands down the absolute BEST wedding band! My husband and I had the night of our dreams and Irresistible Groove played a huge part in that. Best band ever!

Irresistible Groove absolutely made our reception! They were so easy to work with leading up to the big day and were flexible with us when we wanted to add an instrument in and change the footprint of the band. They also agreed to learn our first dance song and Mother/Groom dance song, and it was so much better to have them perform the songs than to play the recording. They played a great variety of music and kept the party going. We would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a band!

Incredible band! Would highly recommend to anyone.

I really don't have enough good things to say about these guys, they were absolutely fantastic, top to bottom. They were very easy to work with, they nailed our first dance song - "Wild Horses" - and then played what felt like a very personalized set list without any input from us. We considered requesting some specific songs be played during the ceremony, but I'm so glad we just let them do their thing, they hit everything that we wanted and then some. They rolled out everything from the Rolling Stones to Outkast, James Brown to 'Old Town Road', and even sprinkled in some Taj Mahal to scratch our blues itch. They switched between a variety of genres and eras seamlessly and kept the dance floor full all night, which was a solid 4 hours, and brought an incredible energy to the whole night. I can't recommend Irresistible Groove highly enough, they were one of the best parts of our wedding night and I'm confident that they'll make any party they're at better.

You want energy? You got it!

I will admit that I did not want a band, but my parents insisted on having on to really increase the energy of the reception. I am so glad we went with this group! They were excellent MCs during the "administrative" stuff (intros, toasts, first dances). They let us use canned music for the first dances, which was important to us. They played great soft music during dinner and then started the party right when we wanted them to with specially requested songs. Everyone was up on the dance floor all night, and they really fed into the crowd. Thanks for helping us make our day so special!

The Best of the Best!!!

The absolute best band. We hardly even remember our wedding day because it all happened so quickly, but OMG do we remember Irresistible Groove. The dance floor was completely filled the entire night - these guys really read our crowd and knew what to play according to the energy in the room. They have a diverse song choice already and were so willing to learn some newer songs for us, as well as our First Dance song that was not on their song list (Luke Combs). Lee was so patient in the calls with us leading up to our day and really listened to the vision that we had to keep the party going as long as possible. We had the best time of our lives on our wedding night thanks to Irresistible Groove, and cannot wait to see our video to re-live those moments on the dance floor. The talent of this group is unparalleled - being from the NJ area, we've been to tons of weddings with bands, and we can undoubtedly say that IG is the best of the best. If you are on the fence about considering a band, and have wiggle room in your budget, look no further than these guys. They have the ability to get your guests that don't even dance on the dance floor, and will literally raise the roof! Lee, thank you for everything!!! You guys are so amazing and we are so thankful that we had you as such a vital party of our day. We'd recommend you a million times over to everyone!

Best band ever! And i've attended a lot of events!

I am the father of the bride and spent a lot of time, along with my wife and the bride and groom, in looking for the perfect band for our daughter’s wedding. When we found and heard “Irresistible Groove”, we knew we didn’t need to look any further. Their sound and recommendations said it all. The band leader, Lee, was very responsive and immediately got back to me to answer questions or to talk about the wedding and music we envisioned; even when I contacted him multiple times to go over details, he was patient and thoughtful. He was so responsive, he even texted and attempted to call me when stranded overseas on a vacation. The wedding was November 2, 2019 in Blowing Rock, NC. The band was extremely professional and friendly, arrived early, overcame some logistical issues that arose at the venue, and were very accommodating. A duo from the band, the acoustic guitar and the saxophone musicians, played the ceremony music, and a duo of the acoustic guitar and bass played the cocktail music. They were excellent and exactly what we wanted! The seven-member band played the reception and were fantastic. They got everyone into the party mood and out on the dance floor. Their playlist was extensive and cross many styles of music, and they accommodated our song requests that had memories for the bride and groom, and the bride’s parents. Their music and vocals were outstanding, and we got so many complements from the guests who stated that they were the best band they had heard at a wedding or other event. I have attended a lot of weddings and other events and can confirm how good they are. My wife and I highly recommend them for any event, whether a wedding or just an event with good music and fun. You made the reception the best and brought big smiles to the bride and groom! Thank you all for making it a great night, in the North Carolina mountains, with a clear sky and cold temperatures, and even fireworks at the cake cutting. We are looking forward to attending another event open to the public to see you perform again!!!!

Amazing wedding night!

My wife and I could not be more impressed with the show that Irresistible Groove put on at our wedding! They performed a classic jazz set during the reception dinner that set the tone for the evening and then turned it up a notch with party songs for the rest of the night. Made it a party

Having a good band was really important to us, and Irresistible Groove exceeded our high expectations. They were incredibly easy to work with and communicative before the wedding, kept the dance floor packed all night with their energy, and most importantly are very talented and sounded great. I know that even my wedding planner, who has worked with many different bands, was impressed. Would highly recommend them on all fronts. Thank you for everything!

A+ Band that kept us on the dance floor all night!

Irresistible Groove did a great job getting the party going and setting the mood for our recent wedding in Durham NC. Song selection was great, the band was energetic and talented (and were having a great time with us too!), and we loved the bands range and flexibility with songs. If you want to hear it, they can play it. I would recommend them to anyone having a wedding looking for a band. Thanks Irresistible Groove!

Super talented, fun, high-energy group of musicians!

Irresistible Groove is absolutely amazing. It was really important to us to have a fun, high energy, engaging band to keep the dance floor going throughout the night, and they did just that. They are a super talented group of musicians that can play a wide range of genres for all crowds. Leading up to the event, we communicated with Lee, the band leader, to share our vision of the night. He executed it perfectly! The dance floor was packed the entire night just like we hoped. Our wedding guests are still telling us how much fun they had at our reception and we owe credit to Irresistible Groove for keeping the party going. Each member – the male and female lead vocalists, the sax, guitarists, drummer, everyone – are incredible performers. I highly recommend Irresistible Groove to anyone considering a band for their wedding reception!

Incredible!

Irresistible Groove made our reception so totally unforgettable! Each member of that band is just awesome and we had the best time with them! The singing, the sax, trumpet, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard all just top notch! They are interactive with the crowd and listen to your likes and dislikes when planning their performance for your party! They are so so great and our guests were on the dance floor THE ENTIRE TIME! Which is exactly what we wanted :) Thank you to Irresistible Groove! We wouldn't have wanted anyone else.

Irresistible Groove honestly made our Daughters wedding celebration one to remember!
They were so easy to work with, read the crowd well and roll with the punches. They literally were the best investment we made for our Daughters wedding. Professional, flexible and boy did they bring the place to life! Do not skimp on the Band! We will hire them again! We lost electricity for a spell and I (Mother of the Bride ) never knew it! I G keep playing an upbeat rhythm on acoustics, drums & horns that had every body in the place up and dancing! Amazing. Nice genuine group of people that are so talented!!!! Irresistible Groove was absolutely TERRIFIC! Cannot say enough wonderful things about them! They were very attuned to the event, and played softer music to warm up the crowd during the meal, and then played great dance music, which kept the dance floor full! Irresistible Groove was the best decision I could’ve made for a wedding band. All I can say is wow! They sure know how to command a room and to keep people dancing all night. I had so many people asking about the band and telling me what a great time they had all night. They can play such a wide range of songs and were such a pleasure to work with throughout the process. Irresistible Groove raised the roof on our wedding. It's been a month and I am still getting compliments on the band. They were easy to work with and played a great variety of music. They even learned our first dance song without telling us! It was all quite impressive. The band played soft jazz during dinner and then turned up the funk afterwards. It was an amazing time. We had a blast!

Finding an amazing band was a top priority in our planning process. Irresistible groove was an absolutely incredible choice for our wedding in Durham NC. The sound was perfect- honestly they sounded even better than in their videos. I had a million comments from guests at how perfect they were. I was worried that after the cake cutting that the party would wind down, but they knew exactly how to pump up the crowd and keep it going. They started with classics and ended with top 40 for the younger and more energetic crowd. I know it was my wedding but it was the most fun I've had dancing probably ever. Thank you!! Book them if you want to host an unforgettable party!!!!

I can’t say enough about this amazing band! They are complete professionals from beginning to end. They have a list of, what seems like, every song ever that you can choose from to give them direction for your special occasion. We gave them a few selections that we definitely wanted to hear as well as the songs to play for the traditional dances (father/daughter, mother/son, etc.). After that they did their thing and nailed it. The depth and range of the vocalists was mind blowing. The band is spot-on for all of the songs and each musician is phenomenal at their job. Some members of the band play 3,4,5 different instruments! Another thing my wife and I really liked is that they have guitar, bass, horns, piano, female and male vocalists, and a seasoned MC.
We had great communication with the band manager leading up to our event and they were prompt, prepared, set-up timely (all equipment, lights, etc. and sound-checked) and dressed impeccably on our wedding day. With all of the vendors to coordinate and issues that we were having, they were a breath of fresh air and we couldn’t appreciate it more.
During our wedding reception they were the shining stars. Our guests danced like crazy and had the best time! Their song selection was perfect and they delivered a performance that was better than we could have ever imagined. All we kept hearing from our friends and family for weeks was how blown away they were by the band. The ability to deliver songs by Aretha, Bruno Mars, Billy Joel, Frank Sinatra, AC/DC, Sublime, and the list goes on and on and on and on, is crazy!
If you are looking for a band for any event, don’t think twice, don’t look anywhere else, just book Irresistible Groove!!!

We hired Irresistible Groove (for brevity I'll shorten to IG) for music at our ceremony and reception in Savannah, Georgia. They were recommended to us by friends who had gotten married in Chapel Hill, North Carolina several months prior. They were amazing; their set lists were extensive and they played a variety of music from Rock to Soul/R&B to Country, Pop, Big Band...the list goes on.

We didn't do a traditional sit down dinner, so the band was tasked with playing for the entire evening. IG kept everyone on the feet the entire night, and it was awesome to see all our guests enjoying themselves in the experience that this band's music and energy helped to create. It was apparent that these guys love what they do; they were into each and every song they played, which invested us and our guests in the party!

The most refreshing thing we encountered was how genuine, pleasant, and professional the IG band was. Many of our family, friends and other vendors had conversations with band members during breaks, before and after they played, and spoke highly of their character. Coordination with the IG band before, during and after our wedding was seamless, and we could not be more satisfied with everyone's attitude and professionalism. They were great helping us make decisions on flow and sequence of events since we didn’t have a traditional wedding, and were reasonably flexible to unexpected changes. IG was responsive to our musical requests, but used their expert knowledge to ensure all our guests could enjoy the entertainment. I highly recommend hiring Irresistible Groove for their talent, professionalism and incredible amount of experience; my husband's company has already booked them for their holiday party!

Hi, Dave and I were truly blessed to have found Irresistible Groove at the last minute. They made our wedding so special and fun! We asked them to do a jazz set during our dinner, and then crank it up to party music after dinner, and the transition was seamless. They played our Father/Daughter dance, our first couples dance, and our Mother/Son dance, perfectly and it was really special. Words to describe Irresistible Groove: excellent, upbeat, fun, classy. They are the best wedding band I have EVER heard by far. We knew we wanted them because of their extensive song list that they provided and the fact they were able to play the songs we wanted for our special dances, which were kind of unique. They can do jazz, country, top 40, R&B, 80s, rock, pretty much every kind of music, so it is something for everyone. They were very pleasant to work with, were timely and professional in every way.

Aw man! What can't I say about these guys!? They were so good it was unreal! We wanted for nothing the entire night. They played almost every request anyone asked for. They knew when to smooth it out and when to crank it up. I haven't seen my grandparents dance like that in..well never! Every aspect of their presentation was on par with something you'd see in a movie; polished and very professional. My only regret was that we couldn't party till the sunrise! We all left out floating on air! Hands down best live music experience ever, wedding or not!

I know it sounds crazy to think anyone could have a perfect score, but this band hit on all fronts! Not only did they look great on stage and threw an amazing party that kept everyone dancing all night, but they also were so easy to work with. There was nothing we asked for that they didn't oblige. Even the other vendors enjoyed working with them! All our guests, young an old, had a great time, and we still hear them talk about how good the band was. We couldn't have asked for a better group for our night!

These guys really made the night memorable, I can not thank them enough. From start to finish they are perhaps the most professional musicians I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Being in the bar industry I've been booking bands for years so, I assumed I knew what I was doing well come to find out it was near impossible to find just the right group. Then I saw the music promo for Irresistible Groove and I just knew these were guys. The atmosphere they helped to provide was one of magic as they always seemed to know what to play to get everyone into the groove of the night. Groovetown made our reception a blast! The music for our at-home wedding reception (in a big, pole tent) was fantastic. They had a wide range of styles of music - from soft jazz during the dinner hour to great oldies to dance to. They were punctual, engaged in the party and delightful with which to work. I can not speak highly enough of GrooveTown. Not only were they super easy to work with during all of my planning, but THEY made my wedding reception better than I could have ever dreamed! Everyone was talking about how great the band was all night! Groovetown played at my daughter's wedding. Our request was we wanted to have everyone on the dance floor. The dance floor was packed the entire night. They played a variety of music and also were able to play all of our requested songs. Would highly recommend!!

Not going to lie, when I googled this band and watched Youtube promos, I was not super impressed. The promos are autotuned and pretty unprofessionally edited. DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU!!! We ended up booking with them because the reviews were great and our planner recommended them.
They were PERFECT. They did our intros, played light jazz through dinner, then rocked out with motown, blues, oldies and even some hip hop at the end. They were so professional, and dealt with our somewhat rowdy crowd beautifully. People danced all night long in pure bliss :)
Book em, you won't regret it.

As much as we love great reviews like this one we do want to point out that we dont autotune anything with GrooveTown . Real professional performers dont need anything like that , what she may be referring to is the "hard tuning" that we sometimes use on some modern tunes so that they sound authentic to the song .

Lee and his band Groovetown were awesome! They played our wedding at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, NC and looked professional and their performance was amazing. Everyone was dancing and the dance floor was full until the last song of the night. Groovetown played every song we wanted and respected our "do not play" list too. We have had numerous compliments from our guests and many people asked for their name. One of the most important things to me, was the band did everything they said they would do and could not have been more low maintenance. As the groom and booker of the band, I did not want any last minute issues with the band and they exceeded my expectations! Do not hesitate to book them, just do it before they are booked by someone else!

Holy smokes!!! Groovetown made our wedding in more ways than one. They did not take one break the entire evening -- I have guests from out of the country who were so impressed they want to have Groovetown play at their weddings!! This speaks volumes for their talent.

Our guests loved them and I am so grateful for their willingness to learn our first dance song and keep the energy going all night long. Music can make or break a wedding, and I was incredibly picky in choosing the band for our wedding and I am SO glad I chose Groovetown.

GrooveTown was absolutely amazing! They made our wedding so much fun and played music based on the mood of the wedding guests (read: our guests came to party!) They played all kinds of songs from beach music to current popular songs. To put it in my husband's words whenever we reminisce on our wedding night: "GrooveTown absolutely killed it." I could not be happier with their service and performance during our wedding reception and only wish we could do it all over again. Groovetown, thank you so much!!

Love love love this band! They made my wedding so much fun. The variety of music that they played was unreal, from beach music that my parents loved to "new music" that got the crowd going. We had a lot of town guest that live in GA, and they asked my in-laws the name of the band after the wedding in case they needed them in the future--they enjoyed them that much!!

I worked with A Southern Soiree wedding planners and they had many suggestions for bands from the Raleigh area. My husband and I must have listened to 100 bands before finding Groovetown. We listed to Groovetown and absolutely loved their sound! They also played a large variety of songs and were willing to learn a few new ones for us.

Groovetown was so easy to work with. They stayed in touch during the planning process to make sure they had all the information they needed. Our guests are absolutely raving about the band! They knew exactly what kind of song to play based on the mood, and had us dancing all night long. I cannot say enough good things about this band! I would absolutely recommend this band to any brides looking for quality entertainment!

The Groovetown Band was a smashing success at my daughter's wedding reception. They arrived on time, played beautifully and were well dressed and responsive to the crowd. I would hire them again for any event. I cannot tell you how many people that attended the reception asked about the band and said they thought they were fabulous. The horns were great, the vocals were great, I could go on and on. The energy in the room never slowed down, They did an amazing job of reading the crowd and keeping everyone on the dance floor. They were also very polite and had a great work ethic. I would recommend them to anyone having any event as they are head and shoulders above alot of bands that we thought about but decided against because we wanted a band with dignity. We did not want a band that dressed in a skimpy fashion or played inappropriate music. This band has dignity and it showed. I wish I had another event, I would call them again, LOVE GROOVETOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Groovetown is wonderful in every way!! From the first informational phone call to the end of the reception it was smooth sailing. They met our expectations and more. One guest called the music "epic". Many told us it was the most fun they have had at a wedding. Our daughter and son-in-law chose the music and Groovetown played them in the order they thought most appropriate; it was awesome. They are a very professional group and easy and fun to work with. We only have the one daughter, but if we had ten we would have Groovetown perform at every wedding!!!

I fancy myself as a musician and can be critical. These guys blew me and everyone away. People from Wisconsin were calculating how much it would cost to bring them out there for weddings. I looked at the reviews and only found one thing that wasn't a 5, some confusion over a song. Okay. I litterally went up to them several times during the night and told each individual band member that they were XXXXXXX fabulous. I stayed around afterwards to do so also. Just a wow.

everyone wanted to know where we got the band. The band kept the crowd dancing and took care of all our special requests. They were professional and very easy to work with. I would very highly recommend them.

Excellent band! They were great fun and very responsive to crowd. Took small breaks and never let party loose energy. Only comment is that we wanted to pick up music energy earlier since we had already had background music during cocktail hour and band was a little slow to transition. Otherwise they were great. I highly recommend them.

GrooveTown Band surpassed my expectations! They were able to "read the crowd" and eased into the night with Beach tunes and oldies then ended the night with amped up Top 40 songs. Lee Johnson put my anxieties to rest the week before my wedding day by speaking with me at length on the phone. Thanks GrooveTown for helping to make our wedding everyone's favorite event this year!

GrooveTown was an absolutely amazing band. Upon previewing their website, we knew that GrooveTown was the band for us. The vocalists and instrumentalists were outstanding and kept the party going the entire night! Our guests had such a wonderful time singing and dancing that no one wanted to leave. That truly is a sign of a phenomenal band. My family was so impressed that my mother is convinced that GrooveTown should be the band to play for my little sister's wedding if and when the time comes! In addition, the event staff at our venue said GrooveTown was one of the nicest bands they had ever worked with for an event. Thank you so much for making our special day so wonderful!

Our guests were dancing all night long! Friends and family keep telling us how much fun they had at our wedding. They enjoyed the selection of songs and various genes that Groovetown sung and played.
When we were putting together a selection of songs for the band to play, we had two songs that were not on their roster. We sent the band the MP3’s of the songs we wanted for the First Dance and Father/Daughter Dance in hopes that maybe they could learn at least one of the songs for that night. To our delight, they learned both songs! My husband and I are very thankful that they took the time to learn those tunes in order for us to make those moments extra special!
The band is extremely professional, efficient and great to work with! I highly recommend Groovetown for all of your party needs—your guests will not be able to stay off of the dance floor!

GrooveTown was AMAZING!! They made my wedding reception a huge hit. You know those weddings where most people just sit and listen while a few people dance, well GrooveTown had every guest at my wedding on their feet dancing! My main goal for the reception, was to make sure my guests had a fun time, and GrooveTown made that happen. The guys in the band were so fun to work with. They were all very talented and even allowed my husband, bridesmaids, and I dance and sing with them on stage. Thank you guys for "dealing" with us:) They play a great range of music so every guest will enjoy the music selection. I would highly recommend GrooveTown Band to future bride's!

After a lot of research we decided to go with GrooveTown. About a month before the wedding we emailed back and forth about what music we wanted and did not want. They listened to every request we had and actually sang every song we had requested. My husband and I both thought they would have to play a few from their computers but they proved us wrong and sang them all. Everyone made comments after the wedding about how great the band was and how much fun they had. We highly recommend GrooveTown! Hurry and book them because they book up fast!

Groovetown was an absolute hit at our wedding! Even though it was an afternoon wedding, the dance floor was packed for the entire time! They have an amazing selection of music and are wonderful emcees. They are very responsive to your wishes in terms of music and how you would like the event to flow. I couldn't have been happier with the music they provided! I was also very happy with the background music they provided during our reception when lunch was served. It was some light jazz that created a celebratory atmosphere but still allowed guests to converse (I've been to weddings where I was literally shouting across the table, so this was a definite plus). Our friends and family had a blast! Highly recommend!

Highly recommended. We could not have been more pleased with GrooveTown. They were great to work with ahead of time (I emailed with Lee Johnson several times) and on the day of. They sounded great and played a good variety of music within the guidelines of genres that I asked for. They really kept everyone dancing the entire time, and several people complimented them or asked me who they were during the reception. I was impressed that they only required one break during the evening, which helped to keep the dance floor full. We really have only positive things to say about GrooveTown -- they made our reception a success.

Groovetown is awesome! They are so talented and kept our guests dancing all night long! They play it all and know how to feel out the crowd for what to play next. They started out the evening with Jazz/Sinatra and moved on to Oldies, 70's, 80's 90's and hits that are on the radio today. They took one break during cake cutting toasts. They are extremely talented, professional and reliable.

Groovetown was worth every penny! I actually changed my wedding date to accomodate Groovetown's schedule and I am sooooo happy that I did! The band was amazing! My guests and I spent most of the night on the dance floor. The band was generous enough to take some outlandish requests and did it with smiles on their faces! I had an absolute blast. One of our guests who is getting married next year contacted the band the night after our wedding to book them for hers! Hands down greatest wedding band ever!

This band played for our daughter's wedding September 10, 2011, and they were absolutely fantastic!!! We randomly picked this band with the help of our wedding planners suggested this band so we really didn't know what to expect. They surpassed all expectations. Everyone danced for 3 straight hours....NO intermission....and it was so much fun. I would highly recommend this band for weddings and other occasions. Not only was the music terrific, the vocalists and musicians were so entertaining and definitely played to the crowd offering a wide range of music. They accepted requests and played them which really impressed me and the young people loved it. They were worth every dime and would definitely have them again.

We had Irresistible Groove play our wedding, and we are very happy we did! They played an awesome show!
Everyone in the band is really talented- we felt like we were at a concert! We got so many compliments from our guests,
and a few people even asked for their contact info, so we knew we made the right choice. Entertainment is probably the most important part of the reception and what everyone will remember for years to come. We will have memories for a lifetime thanks to this band.

Our overall impression of Irresistible Groove was fantastic! We are so happy that we got them for our wedding, because everyone had a great time and said how wonderful the music was. Everyone enjoyed it. Dance floor was packed all night. They were very professional from start to finish. They play a huge variety of songs and are super talented. Highly recommended!!!
