Best decision we made was hiring Groove Collection

Groove Collection did an incredible job at our 25 guest wedding! We booked them very last minute and they were so professional and flexible with us. We listened to a lot of bands before we made a decision, but many of them felt super cheesy. Groove Collection is the opposite of the cliche wedding band. These are serious musicians who had everybody out on the floor dancing. Their song catalog was awesome -- it made our small wedding feel like a huge party. They even had lights and fog effects. Everyone sounded great -- the vocalist was amazing and we loved hearing Jamey on the horns. It really added to it!

I would hire these guys again in a second. They were all super laid back, easy to work with, fast at getting back to me, they learned brand new songs just for us and really felt more like friends than a hired band. Our guests raved about them and they gave my husband and I some amazing memories that will last a lifetime. Just hire these guys -- you will not be disappointed!

If we could give more stars, we would! Groove Collection was absolutely amazing and made our celebration as much fun as we could have imagined. We feel so lucky that we were able to book this band. Music is very important to us and it was important to us that we had a great music experience that kept the party going late into the night. This band went above and beyond our expectations. The mix of music was perfect and kept the younger and older generations on the dance floor. We communicated with the band beforehand regarding the mix of music we hoped for, and they really hit the nail on the head! So many guests have remarked that it was the best wedding band they ever saw.

Not only were they very talented, but they were fun and personable as well. They were all so nice and easy to talk with. They did a wonderful job introducing the wedding party and later in the night they even let one of our friends join them on the stage as a guest rapper! This band is able to pull from many different genres and do so in a way that sounds high quality and authentic. We are still amazed and the next time we throw a party we will be disappointed that we don't have Groove Collection there to provide the entertainment. If they are available for your date, book them! Saying that they are a great value is a vast understatement. Thank you Groove Collection! We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

If you're looking for a wedding band in the Asheville area you MUST use Groove Collection!! I was a little nervous about booking a band that I had never heard live but they completely superseded all expectations!! They were absolutely amazing and all of our guests could not stop commenting on how great they were! They were also super responsive to the million questions we had for them. Highly recommend!

Groove Collection was an awesome eclectic band that definitely met our expectations! All of our guests LOVED the set list and danced the night away- we had so many compliments on the band choice!

Amazing band to work with! As a Wedding Planner, I find that working with bands is sometimes one of the most difficult vendors to rely on. This wasn't the case at all with Groove Collection. They were on time {actually early} kind, excited about the reception, and put on a great show. I highly recommend them and am looking forward to working with them again in the future.

When I first looked at all of the other rave reviews for Grove Collection, part of me was skeptical that the band could be as outstanding as advertised. Any doubt was quickly eliminated. From my first conversation with Leslie through my wedding day, this band was professional and responsive. Matt and the guys stole the show at my reception and made the night truly special. No less than 10 people told me specifically how much they enjoyed the band and how much fun they had. With all the chaos of planning a wedding and the wedding day, I felt calm knowing that we were in great hands. Matt is a true professional and the band is darn good. Do yourself a favor and book this band. They are as good as advertised and it will be the easiest and best decision you make planning a wedding or any other event.

This band is the best band ever! My wedding guests have been raving for days. The lead singer Matt and his band did not stop! You know the bands that take a break in the middle of the party and ruin the dance mood...not Groove Collection. I don't think they even took a breath or a water break. Everyone was on the dance floor from 8-11. We are going to have them back for our anniversary..hopefully!!!

I cannot say enough good things about Groove Collection!

Before our wedding, they were quick to respond to e-mails and very flexible with special requests.

The day of the wedding, Groove Collection was prompt, professional, and sounded great. They did a wonderful job of getting people onto the dance floor and playing what the crowd wanted to hear. Everyone, from my college friends, to my 91-year old grandmother enjoyed their performance.

As one of my bridesmaids told me after the wedding, "the band was awesomeness." I couldn't agree more!

The Groove Collection did an OUTSTANDING performance at my daughter's wedding. The dance floor was packed on every song. A very talented, professional and lively group of musicians.

I would highly recommend them for any event

Groove Collection did an outstanding job at our wedding reception, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a fun party! I had many guests ask me about the band, and I know everyone had a blast. Leslie and Matt were very helpful and easy to reach leading up to the event, and answered any questions that I had. What a great band! Groove Collection is amazing. They are so much fun and kept everyone up and dancing the entire wedding, which was exactly what we asked for. They worked with us on the set list and learned songs just for us. They are even better than any clips you'll see online. We would highly recommend them to anyone that wants a band with great musicians, who knows how to work the crowd and keep everyone dancing. You'll have nothing to worry about choosing Groove Collection! Thanks guys!!

It was such a comfort to be able to "touch base"/ make contact with an actual person when my daughter or myself had a question! All of our wedding guests had a fabulous time dancing and "trying" to sing! Groove Collection provided genuine Southern charm to add warmth to our reception.

Groove Collection was awesome! Matt and the guys really know how to get people on the dance floor. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding band-all of our guests had a great time. Good music, friendly and professional!

The selection of songs was a perfect compliment to our party guests....loved by all with quests ranging from 4 to 82 yrs old! Everyone danced. The musicians are professional and connected well with the guests. The management respond immediately to any request. They love what they do and it shows! We will definately hire them again and have already recommended them to our friends. Great Job!!

If you are looking for the best wedding band you will ever encounter look no further! I can not get enough of Groove Collection and I know you wont either once you get to experience their sound. They were the true hit of the wedding and my guests are still calling me to tell me about how incredible they thought they were. Their set list featured songs from all era's and something that everyone could relate to. Their energy and passion could be felt by everyone and the dance floor was never empty. Matt, the singer and band leader, was so kind and on top of things, always quick to respond to help me with anything I needed and make sure everything went off without a hitch. He also played at my ceremony and really made such an impact. I truly can't say enough about how amazing this band is and I know you wont be able to either!! THANK YOU GROOVE COLLECTION!!!!

The best decision we made for our wedding was having live music and Groove Collection was the perfect choice! We know that our guests truly enjoyed the band simply by the number of positive comments we received at the wedding and even the day after the event. We planned our wedding from out of state and did not meet the band or hear them play until the day of the wedding. I have to admit that at times I was nervous about how things were going to turn out, but I am so pleased with the band and would hire them all over again! Matt has a great voice and the band really knows how to get people on the dance floor! I would recommend Groove Collection for any event!

Grove Collection absolutely ROCKED our wedding reception! I am so happy that we had them to entertain us for the most important party of our lives! They had awesome, laid-back attitudes and the perfect amount of energy - they had all of our guests on the dance floor despite the rain! My husband is a musician and they were kind enough to let him join them on stage several times throughout the night. In addition, we planned to have a different musician play during cocktail hour who failed to show up and play per their contract so Grove Collection happily filled in and started early - no questions asked!. They were pleasant and fun and honestly, they saved the day! I recommend them wholeheartedly!!

Matt and the band were amazing! They made my reception such a fun event that no one wanted to stop dancing...young or old! It truly felt like the night flew by in just 30 minutes.....that's just how much fun we were all having! They even accommodated a special request first dance song that wasn't originally in their song list. Nice!!!

Could not have been happier! The band was incredible and willing to play all night! Great music selection and incredible talent! The city had to tell us to stop because the party was outside, otherwise the band was willing to play as long as we wanted. Very few breaks! We received many compliments and information requests regarding Groove Collection!

Groove Collection is an amazing band. Not just an amazing wedding band, but an amazing band. I would go see them play a concert. They are all masters of their craft and have personality to keep a crowd entertained. You will not be disappointed if you hire this band.

Groove Collection set the mood for the kind of wedding we wanted, a P-A-R-T-Y-Party! Matt is the most versatile singer I've ever come across, the drummer is solid and has great control, and the horns, keys and bass could back a r&b band in Memphis! This band is as tight as they get, without an ounce of cheese! I highly recommend GC if you want people talking about your reception for years to come.

Groove Collection was the PERFECT band for our wedding! We found Groove Collection online, and we booked them based on the samples we heard. (We live in Dallas, but we got married in SC.) We were nervous since we had never heard them in person, but we went with our gut. The manager, Leslie, was very responsive and answered all of our questions. The band was willing to learn our first dance song, and they sang it beautifully! They also allowed my uncle to sing with them on stage! Our wedding was six months ago, and we still have friends and family talking about how amazing our band was. They read the crowd really well all night long and played the perfect set list for the evening. They were very flexible and even played the chorus of an old hip hop song my friends asked them to play as a surprise to me (the bride). I can't say enough wonderful things about Groove Collection. In fact, some of my friends in Dallas were wondering if the band traveled so they could get Groove Collection to play for their weddings one day. Thank you for making our event a HUGE success!

I first discovered Groove Collection at another wedding, and I'm so glad I did. They did an amazing job at our wedding, and I would book them again in a heartbeat!

We hired Groove Collection, sight unseen (aside from the images on the website) and went strictly off of the reviews and songs they had posted on their website. The band was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Every band member is a true musician and Matt, the lead singer, has a voice that is perfect with any number of music genres. The band has a way of keeping the party going, without the attendees even knowing that they are doing it. As an example, if a song seems to bring a group onto the dance floor, the band will notice that everyone is dancing and will continue to keep that particular song going. The set list they brought had seamless transitions. I have never seen a crowd actually "boo" when they guys had to go on break (which was only twice during our wedding) and cheer"" when the ipod music stopped and the band re-took the stage. Throughout our reception we had people asking us where iwe found such a diverse, talented, and great sounding band. My wife and I put our faith into these guys and they delivered - hands down. AWESOME JOB. While we were married in Greenville, I wish I could bring these guys back to Texas for a party. They are excellent and you will NOT be disappointed. Job well done!

This band was more than incredible. Family and friends are still raving about them! Groove Collection played for my husband and I's wedding in Weaverville, NC on Memorial Day weekend. We knew we wanted a high-caliber band and we were not disappointed. Their energy was amazing and the talent was unparalleled. Every interaction with this band, from their manager Leslie, to the band members themselves was professional and prompt. I would hire them again in a second.

We saw Groove Collection perform at a friend's wedding in Asheville, and we were blown away. We decided immediately that we needed them for our wedding too. Both times that we've seen them, the dance floor was full from start to finish at the party. They even got cheered out for an encore. They have incredible range, playing everything from classics like Michael Jackson to modern artists like My Morning Jacket. Matt and Leslie are a pleasure to work with, and we couldn't recommend them more highly.

I hired Groove Collection to perform at my daughter’s wedding on July 16, 2011. In one word… Incredible… okay, maybe two words… Incredible and Impressive!

I found them on-line… no prior association… no reference from anyone… just a feeling this was our band! Let me say… I am thrilled that I listened to my instincts! Matt Call was true to his word from beginning to end, and Groove Collection far exceeded our expectations for pre-ceremony, ceremony, and reception music! He met with us months before the wedding at our venue in Knoxville, Tennessee. My first impression was how professional he was… well-dressed, polite, kind and very accommodating! He was eager to work with us on a very untraditional arrangement for the wedding processional, and the band executed the arrangement flawlessly… my daughter and her husband were amazed with their vocals! In fact, everyone was amazed with their vocals… amazed with their talent!

I recommend Groove Collection with enthusiasm! In fact, they were a major hit with our guests and a major influence on the success of the wedding! All night, guests ages 20-70 were saying, “Where did you find this band? They are wonderful! They are great! They are the best we have heard!” My response is Bravo… thank you… job well done!

Again, without reservation, I can confidently recommend Groove Collection as a solid, reliable, high-quality band for any event large or small… They Will Not Disappoint!

They were awesome! Best part of our reception. We are still getting compliments and it has almost been a year. Many of our friends have gotten their contact to play their events since. Great job!

Groove Collection was a great choice for our wedding! We had initially thought of booking a DJ or compiling our own playlist on my ipod, worrying that a band could be kind of "hokey", for lack of a better word. After second thought, I remembered the last few weddings I went to, in which the DJ was hokey and the band was much more fun and interacted well with wedding guest.

Anyway, Groove Collection had a great set list, tons of musical ability, and a lead vocalist that can adapt to many artist, from My Morning Jacket to Johnny Cash. They were willing to use my ipod playlist for cocktail hour and were able to play the first dance song we requested. I was told that there have been only a couple of song request over the years that they could not fulfill. They played one "group participation" song, "Shout", which was perfect for us (not huge fans of line dances, the Macarena, or the like.). They far exceeded our expectations and solidified a great event! We are still getting compliments from our friends and family about Groove Collection.

To quote a wedding guest: "They are the best wedding band I've ever heard!"

This band was awesome, people are still coming up to us telling us, where did you find this band. Their website truly sold their look and their talent.

When I spoke with the band leader we had a few requests and even our first dance to Ray LaMontaigne was a hit. From Michael Jackson to all the hits, they were fantastic.

Our entire wedding was dancing all the way through. To give you an idea, I never met with this band in person - I said this is what we want, this is our goal, and they delivered 110%! You should invest in the Groove Collection.

Our wedding party had a great time at the reception thanks in large part to Groove Collection. They played for about 3 or 4 hours total. While they don't have a huge list of songs they know plenty to fill your reception with great music.
Very professional and experienced musicians. Couldn't have asked for a better band.

Groove Collection was amazing! Their musical talent and ability to get the crowd dancing was incredible! I was a little nervous about how things would turn out since we didn't get to see them live prior to booking but I have no regrets. They were everything you could possibly hope for. The only real room for improvement I could suggest is a bit more planning upfront. I felt like things were a bit disorganized prior to the wedding starting and questions were asked of me on the day of that I would have preferred to have worked through in advance. However, with that being said everything still worked out completely smoothly and none of our guests could tell it was a bit hectic so this would be more of a room for improvement for soothing overwhelmed brides. I don't think it had any impact on the quality of service of the overall flow of the wedding at all.

To summarize, you should totally book them.

The Groove Collection was amazing! I was pretty indifferent about getting a deejay or a band for the wedding, but I am so glad that my now husband convinced me to go with the band. It made SUCH a difference in the atmosphere and everyone had so much fun! The Groove Collection is so talented and their cover of our wedding song was amazing. Everyone complimented us on our band selection and I really think it was one of the best choices we made for the event.
