  The perfect venue.

  The venue was perfect location for an outdoor wedding, dinner in the tent, catering room, cake room that doubled as the 360 booth and dancing in the ballroom.

  Great Venue and Staff!

  We loved Grey Rock for our wedding! The mansion is so versatile with space both indoors and outdoors and the staff are so kind and helpful! The mansion is beautiful and has a vintage feel, but isn’t overly decorated and allows couples to really add their own unique touches as well! We are so glad we chose Grey Rock Mansion for our venue and highly recommend it!

  A Dream Come True!

  I highly recommend Grey Rock Mansion for your big day. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. I thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the bridal suite with my girls before the ceremony. The ballroom gives the feeling of grandeur even for an intimate gathering. My guests were impressed with the heated tent where we enjoyed dinner and my favorite memory is gathering with family and friends in the bar area. Everything was perfect. The staff was helpful and very responsive. I can go on and on but the bottom line is Book Grey Rock!

  We’re not even sure where to start for this absolutely incredible experience. When we first started looking at venues online, we did a Google search for “historic buildings,” and Grey Rock stood out to us before we even saw it in person. We immediately called and booked a tour. The moment we walked in the door and started talking with Brian, we knew this was the venue for us. He was very welcoming and helped us envision our wedding day during the walkthrough.
  The rooms are beautiful by themselves, but can also be a blank canvas for you to let your imagination run wild. The staff were always accommodating when we wanted to come view the space again, and responsive whenever we called or emailed with a million questions. We truly can’t recommend this venue enough. It photographs so well and turned out to be everything we ever hoped and dreamed of!

  Wedding venue!!

  So happy we chose this venue for our wedding. Everyone here is super friendly both on the phone and in person. They were as helpful as possible throughout our planning process as well as the wedding day. Great venue, so many areas for great photos! Super flexible to have your event inside or out depending on weather. Absolutely loved it

  What an amazing team! From my initial tour until the very last THANK YOU email from the mansion owner I was SO PLEASED. Team Grey Rock was always on time, and very responsive to questions and needs. Their process was very straight forward and they venue was phenomenal. My friends and family are still raving about the wedding and how well put together the setup was. I would party here again and again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

  Awesome Owner/ Pleasant Experience

  I reached out to the venue to use with less than 48 hours notice due to another plan falling through and the owner, Brian, was absolutely a pleasure to work with and was very flexible with my situation. He was kind and the building is well maintained. The charm of Grey Rock mansion can’t be beat and that’s why I chose it. Brian being my point of contact made it even better!

  Kori & Brock Carter's Wedding 5/30/21

  I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Bill Clowney and the Grey Rock Mansion staff for an amazing experience of the wedding of our son and his beautiful bride on Sunday, May 30, 2021. From the moment we entered the historic property of the mansion, it simply felt like home! No fuss with finding a parking space, no other loud parties, anniversaries, weddings, bands etc., to compete with at Grey Rock Mansion. It was just us – our family and friends sharing a special, private moment with our Brock and Kori Carter!
  The lush outdoor garden wedding was extraordinary, and the tent was airy and absolutely stunning with chandeliers and strings of beads and lights streaming from the ceiling. Brock and Kori chose a Sunday brunch. The food was so delicious - sweet bites of pancakes and waffles, hickory bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, spicy shrimp, and grits, along with salmon, chicken, fresh vegetables, and the omelet station. The staff was very attentive, professional, and kind. I loved that their uniforms were so clean and formal. Often the staff at many of the hotels and restaurants have very worn white shirts and dingy sleeves. Not the Grey Rock mansion staff! It was like Sunday Best!!!
  It was really a charming afternoon of tea, coffee, and bottomless Champagne, Bellini cocktails, scrumptious deserts/food, and lots of dancing in the ballroom. The guests praised the bartender, Edrick for his strong drinks (blush). Raising a glass to unforgettable memories and many more wonderful private gatherings to come with Bill and the Grey Rock Mansion staff - Outstanding!!! Cheers!

  This venue was perfect for my small Wedding ceremony and reception! Mr. Clowney was responsive, professional and provided excellent service. His staff was courteous and accommodating. The venue was clean, beautiful and accessible. The food was amazing. Best decision!

The grounds were beautiful, even though the large tree had fallen a few weeks prior to my wedding. The garden where I held my ceremony was still absolutely beautiful. Gina, the Grey Rock associate who worked with us, stepped in and went above and BEYOND for me on my wedding day when everything was going wrong. They literally saved my wedding and I am so grateful for them all!
  
  If you are considering the Grey Rock just book it. The venue is amazing and the staff is so kind and professional. I’ll never forget all that they did for me!

  Grey Rock is a gorgeous mansion

  Grey rock is absolutely gorgeous! There's lots of space for guests to roam. It's wheelchair accessible to get into the building. However the ballroom is not wheelchair friendly But there's Just a few steps So definitely doable for most grandparents or people with walking issues. Grey rock does provide tables and chairs but no linen. So that is an additional cost. The owner is friendly and on-site the day of your wedding which provided me with Peace of mind knowing that if anything went wrong he would be there to help, or Just in case you have any questions. Grey Rock only allows you to use their approved food vendors which can get very pricey! And a bit difficult if you're looking for food from a different culture. When you book with them you have access to the building and the garden area. There's also lots of on-site parking. Overall, it was a great experience. Everything turned out beautiful All our guests thought the place was gorgeous.

There were some hiccups but they were quickly resolved. And on my actual wedding day the entire staff really supported me beyond what I could have ever asked for! This is a beautiful venue with very fair pricing!

  No one to let us in the mansion on our wedding day

  My wedding was on 9/3/22 at Grey Rock Mansion. No one was at the mansion was there to let us in at 3PM- our starting time since we booked the all-day package. I called the owner Brian and he said he forgot about my wedding day starting at 3PM. This was shocking because I had just talked to him in the morning asking if my dad could drop some wedding items off early to the venue because it all couldn’t be made in one trip. Brian didn’t arrive until 3:20PM to let us in which included all of my vendors standing around outside waiting as well. Brian then proceeded to blame me and said that it was my fault and that I didn’t have the time correct. I asked him to check our contract, emails and money payments I sent him to confirm that in fact we were supposed to be there at 3PM. Once Brian confirmed that we were supposed to be there at 3PM, he then blamed his staff that his calendar was incorrect. He took no responsibility for this major failure to execute one of the main responsibilities of a venue. He was not apologetic and kept saying it “wasn’t a big deal”. This was in fact a big deal because all of our vendors were stressed because they had less time to set up, we hired a decorator who needed every minute, the mansion was hot (especially the upstairs getting ready rooms), and this threw our entire timeline off track because although he was late to let us in, and it took more time to keep discussing the fiasco. This even caused us to be taking first look photos outside while guests were arriving for the ceremony. I understand mistakes happen but Brian’s response to this on our wedding day escalated the situation and emotions instead of de-escalating. This completely ruined the getting ready excited vibe and turned it into a nightmare. One of the main responsibilities of a venue is to be available during the time that you booked it for. Brian was quickly offering me $100 and extra uplighting to make up for the delay which I refused and asked him not to approach me anymore with the situation until after the wedding was over which he ignored and kept approaching me and getting me more upset. Brian then proceeded to bother my husband during his getting ready photos and my mother rushing around making sure everything was get done in time to accept the $100 instead of me. In addition, right before I walked down the aisle, Brian’s replacement for the evening (who I was not made aware of) told me my veil was crooked then proceeded to take my veil out and put it back without my permission. As soon I stepped out of the doors to walk down the aisle my veil fell out and I had no veil for my entire ceremony. No one could find my veil after the ceremony and someone finally found it back in the bridal suite with no explanation or apology. The day after my wedding I spoke with Brian and he again downplayed and kept saying it is “just 15 minutes”. It was not “just 15 minutes”, it caused a snowball effect which ruined my wedding day. After more back and forth, the final amount I was offered was $400 to compensate for what happened. Money doesn’t fix this terrible experience on your wedding day which you can never get back. I resent the way Brian handled this entire situation and the way I was treated. I still have never received an apology. Due to this, I cannot recommend Grey Rock Mansion. I would hate for this to happen to another bride on her wedding day. There are a lot of other mansion options in the area to consider.
  
  

  My wedding was on 9/3/22 at Grey Rock Mansion. No one was at the mansion was there to let us in at 3PM- our starting time since we booked the all-day package. I called the owner Brian and he said he forgot about my wedding day starting at 3PM. This was shocking because I had just talked to him in the morning asking if my dad could drop some wedding items off early to the venue because it all couldn’t be made in one trip. Brian didn’t arrive until 3:20PM to let us in which included all of my vendors standing around outside waiting as well. Brian then proceeded to blame me and said that it was my fault and that I didn’t have the time correct. I asked him to check our contract, emails and money payments I sent him to confirm that in fact we were supposed to be there at 3PM. Once Brian confirmed that we were supposed to be there at 3PM, he then blamed his staff that his calendar was incorrect. He took no responsibility for this major failure to execute one of the main responsibilities of a venue. He was not apologetic and kept saying it “wasn’t a big deal”. This was in fact a big deal because all of our vendors were stressed because they had less time to set up, we hired a decorator who needed every minute, the mansion was hot (especially the upstairs getting ready rooms), and this threw our entire timeline off track because although he was late to let us in, and it took more time to keep discussing the fiasco. This even caused us to be taking first look photos outside while guests were arriving for the ceremony.
