  Holland Wedding

  We had an incredible experience working with Gregory Guay for our wedding music. We used Gregory and his team for beach music during the ceremony, a jazz trio during dinner service, and a full band for the dancing portion of the reception. Every part was executed flawlessly. His communication was excellent throughout the planning process, and he brought a deep knowledge of many different music genres, along with great suggestions that really elevated the experience. The sound quality and overall mix were outstanding, and everything flowed seamlessly from start to finish. We couldn’t have been happier and highly recommend Gregory for any wedding or event.

  Amazing Ceremony Music

  We hired Gregory for our ceremony and cocktail hour and he was absolutely wonderful! Not only was he extremely responsive, but he gave suggestions for music selection. We requested a violinist to accompany him, and they delivered. Our ceremony music was beautiful and we had so many guests tell us how lovely it was during cocktail hour. Highly recommend!

  Great Musician, tailors music to your preference and style!

  We hired Gregory to play for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour at our wedding at The Westin in HHI, SC. He was probably our most responsive vendor and I felt SO CONFIDENT about him and our music going into wedding day, which is a great feeling. We were really wanting a more nontraditional beachy/reggae vibe since our wedding was outside along the beach and boy did he NAIL IT!!! He even brought a steel pan player and bassist with him the day of which was so incredibly nice of him. They rehearsed ahead of time and played so many songs we wanted to hear (Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown, Jimmy Buffett, Bob Marley), it was so cool. We also did some Zoom calls with him before the wedding to discuss the prelude and ceremony music and he allowed us to choose exactly what we wanted while also making some suggestions. He is extremely talented and so professional and the music really set the tone for the wedding vibe we wanted. You will not be disappointed if you book him and he is a great value for such a great musician!

  So talented, and the nicest guy!

  We hired Gregory for our ceremony, and were absolutely blown away by his artistry and professionalism. We asked him to learn a song for our walk down the aisle and he did an amazing job with it. His repertoire is insanely broad and impressive. He was incredibly professional and kind thoughout, wish we would have hired him to do more than just the ceremony!

  Gregory was wonderful to work with from the moment I contacted him -- He was friendly, professional, efficient, flexible, and super responsive over email. And, to state the obvious, he is supremely talented! We had multiple guests at our wedding who had either been playing guitar for years, or were involved in the music industry at some point, and everyone commented on how blown away they were by Gregory (as did all of our guests without musical backgrounds as well!). He created the perfect atmosphere for our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, and because of him we have memories that we will treasure forever: I still tear up thinking about how beautifully he played Pachelbel's Canon in D as my dad and I walked down the aisle together, and many of our guests filmed a particularly adorable moment of him playing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" as one of our 4-year-old flower girls sang along during the cocktail hour. I could go on and on, but long story short, if you want to guarantee that your wedding has gorgeous music that you and your guests will remember for years to come, look no further than Gregory!

  We hired Gregory and a percussion player for our ceremony and cocktail hour and they were worth every penny. I am Latina and wanted something to reflect my heritage at my wedding. Mr. Guay fit the bill perfectly with his beautiful classical guitar. He has travelled extensively through Latin America and is both knowledgeable about the music and culture. He was enthusiastic and prompt from our first contact by email to the day of the wedding and was extremely flexible when we had to make changes at the last minute. He was very helpful in planning the music for the ceremony and cocktail hour and really went the extra mile to make sure I loved each selection. We picked a number of songs for cocktail hour that are meaningful to my family and he committed to learning them for us. He even emailed me samples of him and his friend playing as they were rehearsing and I was able to email him my thoughts immediately! As an out of town bride I cannot stress enough how much his prompt communication put my mind at ease.
  The day of the wedding, Gregory and his percussion player arrived on-time and were very professional. The music for the ceremony was more beautiful than I'd imagined. Mr. Guay managed to take classic bridal picks like Pachelbel's Canon and make them sound classic, but completely different at the same time. He is truly talented and it showed. Even though we were outside you could hear him clearly, but he never sounded too loud or overdone. He really elevated the ceremony and made it feel intimate and classy.
  Gregory and his friend were also a huge hit at cocktail hour. They were friendly and seemed genuinely excited to be there. They played all of the songs I'd asked for and improvised some lovely Spanish style music as well. My family was very impressed at their talent and touched by the music selections. I wish we'd been around to hear more of it, but what I did hear was gorgeous. I highly recommend Mr. Guay and am thankful to him for his beautiful music.

  Gregory is absolutely incredible! His guitar skills are amazing! I was introduced to Gregory under a special circumstance...I had already booked a ceremony/cocktail hour musician and his son happened to schedule his wedding the same day as me so he referred me to Gregory! Gregory happily helped us out and it could not have worked out any better. He was extremely helpful and responsive during the planning process. Gregory's repertoire is vast and can cover so many genres. While I chose to get married outside, I still wanted that hint of church tradition in our ceremony music and Gregory played every song solo and it was perfect. He switched over to more contemporary music at the cocktail hour and set the mood for a great evening. I highly recommend Gregory, his music is beautiful!

  Gregory is an incredibly talented musician and I highly recommend him. We contracted him to perform as a soloist at our Catholic wedding ceremony and to play at our cocktail hour after the ceremony at our reception venue. Not only did he play the guitar beautifully, he was extremely easy to work with and flexible. He was able to blend into the background of this magical day and didn't need much direction to preform flawlessly. I am very happy with my decision to go with classical guitar rather than piano or organ for our Catholic mass. It was elegant and set a lovely tone!

  We actually met with Gregory before booking him for our wedding. Personality was very important to us and we wanted to make sure all of our vendors that would be interacting with the guests in some way were unique and interesting. We were not disappointed, especially when he sang a duet with one of our littlest guests after noticing she was trying to sing along. He gave her the mic and played "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and sang with her. It was an amazing moment that none of our guests will forget. Gregory is awesome.

  I was impressed with Gregory. He did a great job. We were supposed to have a violinist and classical guitarist, but the violinist didn't show up until after the ceremony was over (due to traffic i believe and this, from my understanding, was very abnormal for this fellow). However, Gregory sounded great, was very professional,on time and he and the violinist played through cocktail hour (they were only scheduled for ceremony) to make up for it. It turned out being great anyway and I was so happy it was my wedding day, I almost didn't notice

  Gregory was the ceremony musician at my daughter's wedding in Charleston, SC. He was very responsive, both by email and phone which was important as I am not in SC. His website has a good selection for the bride to be assured that he will provide lovely, professionally done music. He accommodated my daughter's music selections and was very good at improvising with our permission. Gregory arrived early and knew what he was doing which made our job as the host easier. We couldn't have been more pleased and highly recommend Gregory Guay.

  We hired Gregory to perform guitar and violin music at our wedding reception. The duo did an amazing job and arrived early enough for the guest to have something to listen to while they waited for the ceremony to start. Gregory was able to play music that we had our heart set on and helped us pick songs when we had no idea what order they should be played in! My husband and I are very happy with the quality of service and the entertainment it provided to our guests. I would recommend Gregory to anyone getting married in Charleston!
