Simply Awesome!

Gregg is simply awesome and obviously loves what he does. I came across his page on wedding wire and scheduled a consultation based on the reviews. Those reviews do not lie! We decide to book with him right after that first consultation and without considering anyone else. He came across as genuine and Very knowledgeable. Gave us some great ceremony suggestions and even referred to a great local tuxedo business (which we ended up also using).
He was very charismatic at the rehearsal and ceremony (which is exactly what we wanted) and was very helpful in making sure we our marriage got sent to the appropriate local municipal offices (too much champagne before the wedding means that we could not be trusted with the most important document of the day!).
I loved how flexible he was with the ceremony planning and was willing to accommodate any customization.

Stress free

Planning a wedding is anything but stress free but Rodger made his part of the wedding easy! We chose Roger because we wanted a bilingual (spanish and english) wedding ceremony and he made the process super easy. He reached out to us before the wedding to check up and make sure everything was ready to go. The ceremony was simply beautiful, we couldn't have asked for anything more.

Our Perfect Ceremony

From the first time my husband and I sat down to meet with Gregg, we knew we found the perfect person to officiate our wedding. His sense of humor and calm demeanor allowed us to feel comfortable and confident that he would set the right tone for our ceremony. He answered every little question we had along the way and helped us put together the most beautiful ceremony we could have asked for.

During our rehearsal dinner, he helped our bridal party feel confident going into the big day, and helped keep even our goofiest groomsmen in line. That's no easy feat!

After sharing our wedding video with some coworkers, everyone had the same comment - our ceremony was flawless and Gregg spoke beautifully. I even had one coworker ask for his information, and now she's planning on meeting with Gregg as she starts planning her wedding.

Highly recommend

I would highly recommend Gregg Kits for any upcoming events. My husband and I hired him for our wedding and he met all of our expectations and more. Mr. Kits was great to work with and provided us with many options for our ceremony while also allowing my husband and I to create some of our own traditions. He was extremely understanding, made himself available for our rehearsal (last minute), and was prompt and professional. He was very easy to work with and provided much instruction at the rehearsal. He made us laugh and was social with my entire wedding party as
well as the parents. I would absolutely recommend him to any one of my family or friends. His prices were also VERY reasonable.

We were nervous. Gregg was the epitome of calm. We weren't sure exactly what sort of ceremony we wanted. Talking with Gregg made it smooth and easy; we had options that we could really tailor into exactly the ceremony that worked for us. Great Experience!

Gregg was Great! His pricing was great it fit right in with our budget. He met with us a week before our wedding and provided us with many different options to make the process easier very easy to talk to and answerd all our questions we had. Gregg is the coolest, easiest to talk to officiant out here! When my husband and I first went to meet him, we ended up chatting for hours on end about anything and everything. We knew right away that we wanted him to marry us. Gregg is VERY responsive to emails and changes and really knows what he's doing. My husband and I live in AZ but he was raised in NJ. We were already married but wanted to do a renewal of vows for our friends and family in NJ. Late into the planning we decided we would like an officiant to perform our renewal of vows. I contacted Gregg and he was very professional, friendly and responsive. We communicated via email and skype and he listened to our requirements and came up with a renewal style that suited exactly what we were looking for.

I would recommend Gregg as an officiant.

Rev. Gregg Kits was the officiant for our wedding on 9/22/17 at the Richfield Regency in Verona. He was awesome with everything. From the first time emailing him to inquire about his services, to meeting with him personally at his home, to the actual wedding day, communication was fantastic and his service was flawless. He was fun and all the guests loved him!! He will customize the ceremony to anything you would like and he also has great ideas. Most importantly, he kept the bride as calm as can be before and during the ceremony!! A+ service for a great man!! Rev Kits is highly recommended!!!

Gregg was great from the original consultation by getting to know us and to going over all the options. He did an amazing job constructing the ceremony script. When it came to the actual ceremony, he had Roger do the officiating. He was great in explaining the process and working out the small details. The flow was perfect, which was important as we did not want a long ceremony. I highly recommend Gregg and his staff and will happily pass his name on to people I know who look to get married in the future.

My Husband and I used Dr. Gregg Kits for our wedding on 7/29/17, Throughout the entire process he was simply amazing! We loved him as soon as we met him, he was extremely knowledgeable and prepared for anything! He helped us with any questions we had, was always professional, ultra accommodating and stayed with us the whole day! We also had a somewhat destination wedding, and he was even there for the rehearsal the night before and again for the wedding day, making it amazing! Our guest thoroughly enjoyed his company and the photos and videos of our day he posted were so thoughtful and gave us the best sneak peak! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Gregg Kits to any couple saying IDO! We will be using him again in the future for baptisms :)

Gregg performed our ceremony at the Graycliff this past Saturday 6/24/17. He performed a beautiful ceremony with special readings that also included a Sand Ceremony (his suggestion) because we both have kids and wanted to include them in blending families. Gregg made this very special for us including our children in the ceremony. He was amazing from the time we booked him and answered any questions and made suggestions all along that made our day perfect. He offers suggestions but performs the ceremony you want. Also, he was earlier then on time for ceremony he even kept me company in the bridal suite with last minute nerves on my part. Do not pass him up, he is the best out there. Good Luck!

Gregg is amazing! So professional, knows his stuff, and really works with you to create your perfect wedding. His additional helpful tips on what to look our for with different vendors such as the venue, photographer, etc, really helped put things into perspective that we may not have thought of. We met Gregg two weeks before the wedding as we had last minute change of plans and had to get another officiant in a short notice. Gregg was extremely professional and very easy to talk with. He provided us with numerous options to ensure that we get exactly how we wanted our ceremony to be. Gregg made us feel very comfortable and was amazing to work with. The day of the wedding he was there well before the ceremony to ensure everyone in the wedding party knew their parts. The entire ceremony was short and amazing just the way we wanted.

From consulting with us on how we wanted to structure our ceremony to performing our ceremony, Gregg was amazing. He was a font of knowledge, ideas and suggestions of how to make our ceremony memorable and to keep our costs low. We could not recommend him more! I also loved that he stayed a bit longer after the ceremony and he took pictures with us and was helping with the group pictures.

Great personality. Very flexible to adapt to your wedding style, be it more religious, more casual... well rounded overall. Couldn't be happier with his services. He gave us options of our vows so we were able to pick the wording we wanted. He was on time and explained what we needed to do after so we could get our license. He was very helpful and performed the service in a timely manner.

Greg was wonderful to work with and provided us with a beautiful ceremony. Made himself available for the rehersal and came to the venue on the wedding day nice and early. Gave all the wedding party great tips on how to walk, stand, etc. We hadn't even picked out our ceremony readings until the morning of the wedding and he was able to edit the ceremony to include the ones we chose just hours before the wedding.

I had my ceremony lead by Roger because I wanted it done in Spanish but I set everything up with Gregg. They were both very professional and very pleasant. Every detail of the ceremony was discussed, even where hands should be placed. Working with them was very comfortable and felt like we had known them for years. Gregg even attended our reception!! They went above and beyond to make sure my ceremony was as beautiful as I imagined and Gregg even helped the groomsmen with their boutonnieres! Roger’s spanish was perfect! Gregg isn’t just an officiant but he is also a guide to help you along every step of the way. I highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a terrific officiant!

Gregg was exactly what we were looking for to make our marriage official.. I was so busy focusing on all the wedding stuff that i was literally one month away from my big day and had not booked my officiant. When i found Gregg i called and left him a message he immediately responded and offered me a free consultation that week.. Upon meeting Gregg he was very professional and easy to talk to.. He gave us ideas and quotes we could use for our ceremony that fit us perfectly.... Gregg was very helpful from the beginning to the end! We first met with him in person weeks before the wedding to discuss options for the ceremony, and an explanation of how the legal process works. He handled all the details of the ceremony and paperwork after we decided on the specifics. The day of the wedding he was very flexible in waiting to start the ceremony until everyone had arrived (some very 1/2 hour late due to traffic!).

Gregg really made the legal aspect of our wedding very easy. He also officiated a beautiful ceremony on our big day. Highly recommend him for your marriage ceremony.

My fiancé and I were finally getting married. Since it hadn't been the first for either of us, we decided to just go with a Justice of the Peace or the mayor of our town. After much further discussion, and deciding against standing in a courtroom in front of complete strangers and vowing our love for one another, my fiancé found Gregg Kits. Gregg not only offered us a place to be married in a more intimate, private setting (like we wanted), he offered us a beautifully written marriage ceremony. I could not have been happier! Gregg was very helpful in our last minute decision and made the process far less daunting. He told us exactly what we needed to do, where we needed to do it and to just show up at his lovely home and he'd officiate. A very tall, handsome and well dressed man came to the door and welcomed us in. He was warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, kind and very well spoken, truly, a gentleman.

We had a slight problem with the Registrar not signing our marriage license and Gregg took it upon himself to have it signed after the ceremony, prior to filing it with his local office. He performed our ceremony and we were now married!

THANK YOU, Gregg for all that you offered us and all you did. We appreciate you and would highly recommend you to anyone looking for your services!!!

My husband and I cannot begin to express our happiness with Gregg as our officiant for our recent wedding ceremony. We attended two wedding ceremonies with Gregg prior and knew the moment we were engaged he was who we wanted to meet with to be our officiant. Gregg was beyond professional and personal from the moment we met last year. We had a wonderful meeting together; he walked us through a mock wedding ceremony and we could tell right away he would perform a ceremony perfectly created for us! The day of the wedding Gregg was there early as promised and walked our family and bridal party through a rehearsal that put everyone at ease as to their roles throughout the ceremony. During the ceremony, Gregg created an atmosphere that was loving and relaxed. There were many moments in which we felt that we have known him for years! We received numerous compliments from our family and friends after the ceremony on how wonderful our reverend was! I really wish I could have spend more time getting to know Gregg a little better, because he seems like an amazing person. I didn't have time to meet with him prior to the ceremony, as I have a 2 year old and it's always difficult to get away. I was a little nervous that he wouldn't show up or something would happen, but he assured me that he'd be there and everything would be fine. It was. I have known Gregg for more than 10 yrs. Just for his wedding day I drove from Florida to new jersey because he is worth it. I used to work for him, and still today, he was and always will be a brother to me. Gregg is a wonderful guy - he's a sweetheart with a wonderfully witty sense of humor, and he made sure to help us make our ceremony represent "us." He provided great sample scripts which were perfect for people who had no idea where to even start, and when I gave him a draft script he helped polish it to perfection. He's got a great collection of readings that range from sappy to grounded to somewhat humorous, and he's open to I think just about any suggestion you might have to make your ceremony what you want it to be. I honestly thought it was kind of cute that he sounded almost nervous or choked up during the ceremony, and I think that it was because he seems so invested in each couple he marries. He's witty and funny, but he's also clearly a man who loves celebrating love. Book him, and make a new friend.

Reverend Gregg is an outstanding officiant. He was extremely helpful through the entire wedding ceremony. He is very spoken and arrived early to our wedding to meet our families and go over things with everyone.

Very knowledgeable and professional

We found Reverend Gregg on Wedding Wire and really liked that he also does counseling. When we met with him in person, we absolutely loved his personality and how knowledgeable he is about wedding ceremonies, down to even what type of suit works for a particular venue at a particular time, and other details we had not even considered before. We were so glad to have him officiate our wedding. While our ceremony was beautiful and we received a ton of compliments regarding it, we were a bit surprised at the time of our ceremony when it turned pretty religious, which is not the ceremony we had opted for. While our families did not know any differently, we knew we had not picked something so religious because my husband is not religious at all. It threw us off since we had provided the specifics of the ceremony we wanted weeks before our wedding day. Nonetheless, it was a nice ceremony and Reverend Gregg even knew to move away during our big kiss so that the photographers could get the “money shot” of just the two of us. I would still recommend him to others despite our misunderstanding about the ceremony format.

When we looked for someone to marry us I knew I needed to find someone to fit my budget. Greg did fit mt budget outside not knowing the rehearsal fee $150 we were happy with the price given and what he offered. Our Service was short and sweet, took about 10 mins. He walked us through and sent us the reading prior which I liked so I could know what to do. Recommended with a budget under $600.

When we first booked with Gregg Kits for our wedding, he seemed like a genuine guy, ready to prepare what we wanted for our wedding! However, the day before the wedding, at the rehearsal dinner, we were informed that it would be someone else officiating our wedding. I would have been okay with it, however I was not told by Gregg, who is the one we expected to be there. I let it go and put my faith into the officiant that would be officiating us on the day of our wedding, Roger. However. He was WAY late! The ceremony was supposed to start at 430, and he didnt show up until 5! When I reached out to Gregg, who normal responds quickly, and told him how upset that I was, I recieved no answer. We spent good money on services for them to not be met.

Save Yourself and Your Money - Use a Friend Instead!

In NJ ANYONE can get ordained for free online in less than a minute. Save your time and have a friend perform your ceremony. We contacted Gregg for a last minute request and he was available (point in his favor). He sent a text without context asking how we were paying the deposit - NO hello, NO this is Gregg, NO amount, NO info on how to pay. In a customer facing business, some basic courtesy is expected. Or at least enough info to tell if this is a scam text or not. At no point did Gregg ask any info about us or what we wanted - just how much we owed him. Surprising from a person who claims to have a DD (but his LinkedIn claims a PhD from World Christian Ministries - a school that does not appear in web searches). After this, I read the reviews and this confirmed my gut feeling. In the end we walked away from Gregg. (Note: my spouse had already paid the deposit before he sent me the text). Instead our friend got ordained using Universal Life Church (seriously less than a minute) and had a wedding ceremony with someone who knew us and was respectful.

Would not hire

He was one hour late to my wedding ! When I asked him why he was late , he explained that he had car trouble . I was calling him for an hour straight and every time I called, the call was sent to voicemail. Turns out that my coworker also hired him for her wedding and he was also an hour late to her wedding! And me and my coworker both still had to pay full price for him. Furthermore, while the ceremony was taking place he did not adhere to everything we asked him to do and put me and my wife in a uncomfortable position! I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM!

Please brides, do not use this person.

There is nothing spiritual or holy about Gregg Kits. Trust me, it will be worth every penny to find another officiant. This person is not who he says he is. Do your homework first and look up his reviews on Better Business Bureau and Yelp to see the true reviews. I am just trying to spare you the headache and last minute hassle.

Did not show up on wedding day

Our wedding almost got CANCELLED because of this man !!!!....... We met him in person for our consultation about two months before our scheduled wedding date and discussed details of our wedding and the two local towns we were planning to get married in. Paid the deposit to hold the date/time. We had a phone conversation shortly after confirming things and everything was agreed. I texted him again 6 days before the wedding to confirm everything again, address, time date, our names, and got confirmation that everything was set. No other communication regarding anything else so we figured we were good to go.
On the day of the wedding he was a NO SHOW, about 5 minutes after our wedding was supposed to start we called him and he says 'what wedding' ??? And started giving attitude like we did something wrong or it was our fault (no apology). This guy made zero effort to communicate with us about anything regarding our wedding. When I texted him, he could have said please pay your balance owed, and we gladly would have, or please confirm your location again. He made zero effort to do anything, zero effort on his part, being that this is his business maybe he should have made some effort.
Luckily we found someone else to officiate the wedding at the last minute after a two hour delay and everything worked out ok in the end. But this whole situation added a lot of stress and chaos to what should have been the happiest day of our lives. Based on our personal experience we would strongly recommend avoiding.
