  Greg Nelsen is an incredible photographer that is an absolute pleasure to work with. Greg Nelsen photography provided my family with gorgeous images of our 20th wedding anniversary that we will cherish forever. I absolutely love his style of photojournalism that captures the essence of the moment and gives "real life" filling to pictures. If you are looking for someone to capture the essence of your special day with grace, style, and artful eye, Greg Nelsen is your guy. His company will provide you with fantastic service and beautiful images of your special day. He is attentive, responsive, willing to do anything to get a great shot ( even if that means he is on the ground in wet grass or sand), super enthusiastic about his work, and fun to be around. I absolutely love his work! He makes my family history look like art while capturing special moments.

  Greg and Jennifer did a wonderful job photographing our wedding last July. They had some awesome, creative shots! And we appreciated their quick turnaround in getting us the photos. Highly recommend!

  Greg and Jennifer are phenomenal professionals and my wife, Laura and I are so happy we selected them to be our Photography team at our wedding in June, 2016. Laura met Greg at a bridal show and was impressed with his work and his personality. As we were working on selecting a photographer for our big day, we set up a meeting at Greg's house and met with Greg and Jennifer. After that meeting, where we got to know them better and saw many samples of their work, we decided that Greg and Jennifer were the right selection! Naomi and Greg photographed our wedding and Jennifer was key in coordinating all the shots we had previously discussed. They captured so many great shots including some amazing sunset captures we will cherish for our lifetime. We even fit in something that was important to us which was a shoot between the ceremony and reception at a playground on the swings.
  After our big day, Greg and Jennifer followed up wonderfully! They sent us 13 great, retouched shots the next day and had the entire set of good shots which totaled 783 ready for us to review within a few weeks! We were able to share those on a website with all our friends and family and also received all the images on a disc. Then, when the timing was right for us, we met with Greg and Jennifer again to discuss our dream wedding album. They were very accommodating & timely when we went back and forth through e-mail to get every image and page just how we wanted.
  There are countless positives in working with Greg Nelsen Photography including quality of work, professionalism, desire to make us happy and personalities that are a joy to be with while also getting the job done! We highly recommend them.

  We had the pleasure of working with Greg for both our engagement and wedding photos. Both experiences were great and we have so many beautiful photos to choose from! Greg communicated with us well before the wedding to make sure he had a good idea of all the group shots we wanted. Greg's partner Jennifer was there as well focusing on the fine details and making sure everything went smoothly. We got our photos back in less than 2 weeks and were so impressed with the quality of his work. Thank you so much Greg and Jennifer!

  You'd be silly not to hire Greg for your photography needs! He has so much experience and so much raw artistic talent - he captured our event with really stunning photos. We searched for a long time to find the right photographer and ultimately decided to go with Greg after seeing the richness of his work - brilliant vivid colors and an artistic eye. In addition to the raw talent, Greg and his beautiful wife Jennifer were such a pleasure to work with - so genuine and sincere. They took so much stress out of the day by being easy going despite the fact that we were running late. They were also able to efficiently organize a large group for the family photos. The overall value, experience, ease, etc was better than I think we could have found anywhere. We had several of our guests tell us that the "photographer really knew what he was doing"...we agree. HIGHLY recommended!!

He has shot our family pictures for a few years now at different locations in the San Diego area, including Presidio Park and La Jolla cove. Greg has been timely, professional, and easy going. Whenever we got engaged we knew Greg was our only choice for engagement and wedding photos. During our engagement session at Balboa Park Greg would crack jokes at just the right time to give my fiancé and I the genuine smiles that I wanted in our photographs. Leading up to the wedding, Greg patiently worked with us to create a family shot list to accommodate our very large family. He and Jennifer did a great job managing our family members to get all the family shots we needed. The posed family shots turned out beautifully, but my favorite photos were of all the candid moments Greg was able to capture. He even was able to get some cute shots of our nephews, who were having “toddler moments” throughout the night. Greg exceeded our expectations and we will continue to look to him for all of our photography needs.

  We had the pleasure of having Greg Nelsen as our photographer for our wedding last November. I met him at a Bridal Bazaar last Spring and he was very friendly. I set up an appointment with him and my husband-to-be at the time and we also met his beautiful wife. We had a great conversation and we decided to have them photograph our wedding. He was responsive to emails, very flexible throughout the whole planning. We did the engagement photoshoot and it was very relaxed and easy. The pictures turned out beautiful and had some of the pictures used as part of the wedding decorations. Greg was so awesome. He did a sighting of the chapel where we got married before the wedding day. My mom was able to show him the chapel and took some test shots of her. He also ended up driving the best man to the reception after we had some transportation issues. So overall, he was just super nice and easy-going. But of course, that also came with great photographs! We got some previews the day after the wedding! Then two weeks later, as promised, we got the rest. We got so many pictures and he was able to capture all the beautiful moments we remember. Thank you Greg for doing such a fantastic job that all of us enjoyed, and that we will treasure forever. Muchas gracias!

  Where do I even begin?! Greg is simply AMAZING!!!!! When we had a question prior to the wedding he was right there to answer it, rapidly!!! On the day of, Greg was so focused to the fine detail’s it made me that much more relaxed knowing we had someone just as focused as we are. He was accommodating, friendly, and such a pleasure to work with. My fiancé(now hubby) is extremely shy but Greg had him laughing and enjoying every second of pictures! Our wedding was October 11th and Greg sent us a little sneak peek and boy, were WE ARE AMAZED on the 4 photos!!!! SIMPLY AMAZING!!!!! We can't wait to see more and I know when we do, I'll need a box of tissue next to me cause I'm going to relive my fairytale wedding all over again :)

  Every aspect of our experience with Greg & Jennifer was fantastic! Thank you so much for everything, and especially the amazing shots! They were very friendly and professional from the beginning. My husband & I were impressed with their attentiveness and quick response throughout the wedding planning, and both were exceptionally helpful on our special day! We were planning a wedding from out-of-state, but Greg made the process that much easier. They even took the time to scope-out our wedding venue and reception site so as to make the photos that much better. Greg was 100% accommodating and didn't charge us any additional fees or surprises, and even brought an additional photographer for our wedding (thank you Courtney!). Working with Greg was fantastic! I'm so glad we had the opportunity to meet them beforehand as it definitely eased our minds, as well as both Greg & Jennifer gave us some great tips and pointers for the ceremony. Greg was very laid back and funny, but professional and respectful. We're not exactly the creative type, but he managed to get quite a few out of us. We got a lot of really great posed pictures, but from the wedding our favorites were the ones that captured candid moments with us and the guests! I would definitely recommend Greg to anyone in CA and coming to San Diego from out of state! It all worked perfectly for us and the price was certainly right! Thank you Greg & Jennifer for an amazing experience and memorable photos!!

  Greg is truly phenominal. His art is extraordinary. The best way I can describe him and his work is this... God see's the world and the people He created as beautiful. Even when we don't see our own beauty, we often need to remember to look at ourselves through God's eyes. I think looking at myself and my beloved Steve and our family and friends in Greg's pictures is very much like seeing us in God's eyes. Radiantly beautiful.
  Greg was the 1st photographer I met and didn't consider meeting any more.
  My then fiance, Steve and I to meet him and his wife, producer, Jennifer. We immediately fell in love with G and J. Not only were they an incredible team, they were passionate about capturing and creating something so spectacularly beautiful. We were confident that our wedding would be the most beautiful wedding ever through Greg's lense.
  Greg made us feel so comfortable during our engagement photos. He turned the photos around within 8 hours and produced the most amazing pictures we'd ever seen of ourselves.
  Greg had a plan to photograph my autistic/bipolar brother. Knowing that Greg is incredibly patient and has experience with photographing autistic people squeezed my heart. Greg relieved me of so much stress.
  On my wedding day, Greg arrived on time with his strikingly beautiful wife, Jennifer, and his fantastic assistant, Courtney. Even my bridesmaids loved him. I witnessed the amazing collaboration of Greg and Jennifer, along with Courtney.
  Jennifer was so organized and taking pictures with a very large family was seemless and fun. Watching Greg do acrobatic feets to capture a 2 year old ring bearer and a 3 year old flower girl, while keeping the camera steady and focused was very impressive. The places that G and J scouted out at the venue were perfect.
  The very next day, we saw a glimpe of what was captured. The happiest day of Steve's and my life was evident in these pictures.

  Met Greg at the San Diego Bridal Bazaar down at the convention center, and he is the reason went there. My then-fiancee was looking at photographers that were going to be there and got instantly drawn into this pictures and the storytelling. He has a great personality ad our sense of funny. Our engagement photo shoot, the wedding day, everything was great and easy. Didn't have to worry about a thing when it came to our photographs. Jennifer was there to keep everything organized and tended to every detail in the photographs. Greg and Jennifer make one great team you would want with you for your wedding. Naomi was our second photographer on the day of our wedding and she did an amazing job as well. We received few great shots immediately to share with our friends and family and the rest was delivered in perfect time right before Christmas. We will enjoy our photographs years to come and can't thank Greg's Photography enough! Great people, great work, have nothing but good things to say about them.
  

  Met Greg at the San Diego Bridal Bazaar down at the convention center, and he is the reason went there. My then-fiancee was looking at photographers that were going to be there and got instantly drawn into this pictures and the storytelling. He has a great personality ad our sense of funny. Our engagement photo shoot, the wedding day, everything was great and easy. Didn't have to worry about a thing when it came to our photographs. Jennifer was there to keep everything organized and tended to every detail in the photographs. Greg and Jennifer make one great team you would want with you for your wedding. Naomi was our second photographer on the day of our wedding and she did an amazing job as well. We received few great shots immediately to share with our friends and family and the rest was delivered in perfect time right before Christmas. We will enjoy our photographs years to come and can't thank Greg's Photography enough! Great people, great work, have nothing but good things to say about them.

  I cannot say enough good things about Greg & Jennifer. For starters, they are the cutest couple EVER!!! My husband, Nick, and I met Greg at a bridal expo in Del Mar awhile back, and we all instantly clicked. Fast forward a few weeks later and we did two engagement photo shoots, one at Presidio Park and the other at the cove in La Jolla. I could not have been more pleased with the experience and the awesome photos.
  
  This past weekend, Greg and Jennifer were back to shoot our wedding at The Darlington House - again, I am blown away with the quality of their work, professionalism, and overall amazing friendliness! G & J both make you feel like you are family and not a client. If you are considering hiring a photographer for an event, family photos, etc, I would highly recommend them, you will not regret it!
  
  OH and don't let Greg be modest -- he is SUPER legit: travels the world, hangs out with famous people, loves surfing and yoga AND he has a ton of awards and accolades including an Emmy!!

I probably put more effort into picking my wedding photographer more than any other vendor--I figure you spend hours with them on your wedding day and they have the responsibility of capturing all you memories. I am so happy I went with Greg! His professionalism and great attitude kept me and my husband smiling the entire night! We had a mixed cultural wedding and Greg was so very respectful of our guests and our traditions. He was able to go with the flow which is so important at big functions where not everything goes as planned. I LOVE my wedding photos ... and I especially love that he got me my photos WITH art director edits (both online and on a DVD) in just 2 weeks after the wedding. The pictures are crisp, modern, and fun!! He really knows what he's doing!! There are some formal classic wedding shots and some with a great artistic twist. I am thrilled with Greg and his team and would recommend them for anyone's big day or any function!

  Greg was wonderful to work with! He made us feel comfortable and was so easy to get along with. We only used him for engagement pictures as we are having a destination wedding, but I plan to use his services in the future as well. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for awesome pictures.
