  Worth Ever Penny

  Hands down your photos are the most important thing you take away from your wedding day (minus your husband!) and I am so glad we went with Greg and his team!! Greg is worth every penny and was absolutely fantastic! He was a recommendation from a friend and we are so glad we asked around to find the right photographer for us. As a couple that is not use to getting our photos taken, he gave the right amount of direction, captured our ceremony and reception meticulously, without feeling like they were in our face and made sure to get REALLY memorable shots by paying attention to the light and getting us when shots would be perfect. He also gave me a ton of confidence in planning the day of events, he definitely knows what he is doing! I am so excited to get the full album and I am sure we will use him to capture our memories as a family for the years to come!

  We found Greg Gibson after an exhaustive search of local photographers, and we knew immediately that he was going to be fantastic. Yes, he's a bit expensive, but he's worth every penny. Not only is Greg incredibly talented, he's really fun to have around on your wedding day, which is a lot more important than you might expect (Charlie, Greg's associate photographer, is also awesome). And it goes without saying that the photos are phenomenal. People are still gushing about our engagement photos a year later. We just got our wedding proofs; every photograph tells its own story, which is what we love about Greg's style, and there are several incredibly beautiful shots that took our breath away. We can't wait to start working on the album!
  On the details side, his turnaround time is pretty quick-- one month for 1000 wedding photos (just don't rush the process, however much you want to see the photos). Greg is very flexible on most things, but if you're looking for endless posed family photos and table shots, he will probably dissuade you (this is for the best). Generally speaking, he has all of the professionalism and expertise that you would expect from a two-time Pulitzer-winning photojournalist. If you have the room in your budget, go with Greg. We couldn't have been happier with our choice!

  I'm pretty sure Greg Gibson is the best wedding photographer in the DC area. My husband is a photographer and we spent a lot of time researching who to use for our wedding. Not only did Greg come highly recommended from several sources, but we were just drawn in by his work. You can look at a stranger's wedding and feel like you know them and you were there celebrating with them because Greg knows how to capture all the moments and emotions in a way that very few photographers can do. He and his associate Charlie were also a pleasure to spend the wedding day with. Very professional and hardworking, but fun, thoughtful, funny, and kind. It is apparent that they really care about you and your wedding day and getting you the best pictures possible that uniquely reflect your personality and your wedding.

  I was lucky enough to have Greg and his assistant Charlie take pictures of my wedding day. Not only were they professional and on time, they helped make my day the most memorable day of my life. With Greg's outstanding ability he was able to capture not only moments with my husband and I but also with all of our guests. I would highly recommend him as a wedding photographer. His unique attention to detail make him one of the best in the DC area. Thanks again Greg and Charlie, we will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives!

  We are so fortunate and thrilled that Greg was able to photograph our wedding! His work is absolutely STUNNING, and as soon as we got engaged, we contacted him. His unique documentary style was exactly what we were looking for! From the start, he was so friendly and responsive to any questions we had along the way, and just put us at ease with everything - we had absolutely no doubts along the way that his work would be anything less than perfect.

They were professional and punctual, and worked very hard all day to get so many unique shots. And at the same time, they were so much fun to work with – it was like we had close friends photographing us. They made us laugh and kept us calm, and just made the entire experience so amazing.   Greg makes you feel so comfortable and makes everything so easy... my husband couldn't get over how nice it was to have him around (and in case you didn't realize this yet, the photographer might be the only person you spend more time with than your spouse on the big day)... and on top of all that he's won 2 Pulitzers? Blow the budget on this one. It's definitely worth it.

  Greg makes you feel so comfortable and makes everything so easy... my husband couldn't get over how nice it was to have him around (and in case you didn't realize this yet, the photographer might be the only person you spend more time with than your spouse on the big day)... and on top of all that he's won 2 Pulitzers? Blow the budget on this one. It's definitely worth it.

  Greg was not avaiblable on our wedding day, so we used his associate, Charlie Archambault. Charlie was a photographer for a major U.S. news magazine for years and definitely has a documentary style. He is fun to work with and has an amazing eye for composing photographs. Charlie was able to capture the emotion of the day without being obtrusive. His photographs of our wedding are unique and beautiful. The photos were posted online when promised and a proof CD was sent to us shortly thereafter. Greg's wife, who works with couples in producing their album, is very nice. Greg Gibson Photography is well worth the money.

  Greg and his associate Charlie were our photographers in April. They were both fantastic. Greg knows his craft. He was in control of what needed to be shot at the wedding. He and Charlies worked very hard on the wedding day to get us the wonderful pictures that we have. It was such a pleasure working with them.

  What can I say, I felt very lucky to have him photograph our wedding. He was my ultimate favorite vendor b/c he was courteous and just great to have around (he's very funny) but at the same time means business. His tough love was just what we were looking for in a vendor (any vendor!). He also kept my DH at ease and thanks to him, DH actually enjoyed our photoshoot, especially the part where he is asked to devour me with his lips or pinch my butt. Our guests seemed to enjoy his company as well b/c I saw Greg showing pics to some guests from his camera screen. DH and I love that he let himself enjoy the wedding; at one point during my MOH's slideshow/video presentation, he laughed so hard that I swear he almost fell backwards. It was like having an old friend photograph our big day, he's that awesome. He was especially great at calming me down (I was a nervous wreck right before the ceremony) and helped fix my veil, showed me how to get into that big ole dress and how to get in the car with it. He even gave me great advice about how we should wait before having kids LOL. Told ya it was just like having an old friend. He has an amazing eye for detail and has captured every emotion of the day. Looking at the pictures makes me feel the buttefly in the stomach all over again. Our friends and family couldn't believe their eyes when they saw the pictures and one cute comment was "It looks like he's gonna win another Pulitzer this year."

  Greg was our photographer at our recent wedding. He took beautiful pictures that we were very happy with. He was professional and funny, and he put everyone at ease. He was also efficient and took all of our requests into consideration, which was wonderful. I would highly recommend his services.

  We contracted with Greg for our wedding without even meeting him in person. We loved the work he had online. We met with Greg ifor our engagement photos and he was very friendly, flexible, and patient. From then we decided to continue with him. Our wedding day impression of Greg and his 2nd photographer, Charlie, was the same. Friendly and courteous.
  
  When we got our photos back 60 days after the wedding we were very underwhelmed. We liked maybe 15 shots of the 1000 he sent us. The photos lacked creativity in angles, moments captured, and editing. Some of the photos for which they used their own lighting have a bluish tint to them. They also missed so many moments, about an hour total from the wedding. We are thankful for our videographers (2 shooters, one with each photographer) who captured the missed moments. When we asked Greg about the missing moments and missing photos of details his response was "you didn't say it was important." Besides missed moments there were photos they should have captured like with 1:1 with the Bridal Party. We had to prompt them for most of the portraits we took - and if I missed it (because the day was hectic as is), he also missed it.
  
  So my advice: Greg is very nice and his wife is super helpful when we got back our photos. Because he is sooo expensive it set the bar high and unfortunately he fell short. If you hire Greg, you have to make an extensive list of shots you want to include details and portraits.
