My husband & I had our wedding on February 23, 2024 at Green Valley Ranch Casino & it was honestly everything we hoped for & more.

In the beginning, I was in contact with someone else, so about halfway through our contact had changed. From then on, I was in contact with Molly Sampson & she was incredible! Even though she took over later on in our planning, she made the transition smooth. She was extremely helpful, considerate, informative, & on top of everything. Communication was constant, which I appreciated as someone who loves planning & knowing details. Every time we had a question, she had an answer. Every concern, she made us feel comfortable that she will handle it. She made the entire planning process feel smooth instead of stressful & the actual wedding day flowed so seamlessly because of her. I cannot say enough good things about her.

The venue itself? STUNNING. We had our ceremony outside by the long staircase & it was absolutely beautiful. The outdoor space feels elegant but still intimate, especially during golden hour. The lighting as the sun was setting made everything feel so dreamy & romantic. We also did cocktail hour outside, which our guests loved. It gave everyone space to mingle & enjoy the scenery before heading into the reception.

Our reception was inside one of the ballrooms nearby & the GVR team made it super easy for guests to find everything. No confusion, no chaos, just smooth transitions the entire night.

The there’s the food. SO GOOD! One of the best wedding meals my husband & I have personally ever had. We offered steak, fish, & chicken & the portions were extremely generous. Multiple guests told us how impressed they were, which you don’t always hear about wedding food 😅. To help hit our food & beverage quota, we added late night snacks, which ended up being such a good move. Our guests absolutely appreciated it after a full night of drinking & dancing.

Overall, our experience was amazing. The GVR team truly made our wedding day so memorable & stress-free. Even now, we still receive compliments about how beautiful the venue was & how smoothly everything went. If you’re on the fence, I hope this helps. This is your sign to book this venue now. 😍🤍

We are so happy we selected Green Valley Ranch Resort for our wedding! We worked with Nancy and Molly to coordinate everything - they were so helpful with our tasting and all the detailed selections for our day. They provided everything possibly needed by our wedding coordinator and were so much fun to work with!

Our room accommodations for out of town guests and our own suite was excellent! Food and drinks for our cocktail hour and reception were delicious and well coordinated. We couldn’t have asked for more from everyone who participated in making our wedding weekend and wedding day beyond spectacular!

The planning of our wedding was a distinctive experience. My husband and I initially intended to host a private ceremony and a small celebration with approximately 6 to 10 family members. However, as the planning progressed, my husband’s team at GVR became involved, resulting in frequent changes to our original plans. Remarkably, just ten days before the wedding, our modest event evolved into a more extensive gathering while preserving an intimate atmosphere with more family members invited.

As the date approached, I experienced some anxiety due to the limited time for preparation. I desired the occasion to be simple, elegant, intimate, and filled with joyful memories. I am profoundly grateful to Ms. Nancy Wick, who facilitated a stress-free, smooth, calm, and well-organized process from our initial meeting. Her professionalism, friendliness, and attentive listening skills immediately made me feel at ease.

Establishing a connection with one’s wedding planner is essential, as it fosters trust in handling such a significant life moment. Ms. Nancy exemplified all the desirable traits of an exceptional wedding planner. She encouraged my husband and me to share our thoughts and ideas about our wedding.

In conclusion, our wedding was executed flawlessly. Every detail, no matter how simple, was thoughtfully taken care of. I extend my sincerest gratitude for your being integral to our wedding experience. It was indeed a perfect day. I highly recommend Ms. Nancy Wick and her outstanding team for their remarkable service.

The venue was absolutely a dream come true for my wedding. The entire property was gorgeous, and so we had plenty of opportunity for beautiful wedding photos. The catering, wait staff and various other service staff were professional and we had no problems during our ceremony or reception. Green Valley worked will with all the vendors we brought in for the wedding. Molly the wedding coordinator on site was great to work with and excellent working with my wedding planner.

Andrea and the team at GVR made planning our wedding an easy and more importantly, a fun experience. After every meeting or call with Andrea, any stress we were feeling was immediately replaced with happiness. There was not a reasonable request that we could come up with that they could not make happy. Deciding to have our wedding at GVR was one of our best decisions. Thank you for an amazing day.

It was better than we planned.

Overall, GVR is an amazing wedding venue. Firstly, the property is stunning and makes for a very good pictorial opportunity for plenty of different wedding photos all in one location. Wedding was April 2022 on a Monday evening and it was literally perfect, down to the timeline. BEOs and emails were detailed and followed up on promptly. Majority of our communication was through Hava, London, and then Andrea over the year. Andrea was the behind-the-scenes hero of our wedding day, as was our wedding day-of-coordinator Kailey with Scheme Events. The day went so smoothly, everything was on time, and well-coordinated with our vendors. Andrea is super sweet and we really enjoyed communicating with her. We must also appreciate that GVR is very flexible with their space and catering. Do however, carefully read through contracts and review itemized calculations; beware of taxes and service fees that will increase end total.

Piazza Grand staircase for the ceremony makes for epic wedding photos, cocktail hour on the Opium Terrace was flawless and Instagram worthy. Our photographers had the best time shooting photos at this venue. Poolside café for the reception was refreshing to have an open yet covered space when dancing all night (the plentiful palm tree lights in the backyard space at night---AMAZING). Not only did guests comment on the venue space, but raved the most about the FOOD—best wedding food anyone has had! Cocktail hour lambchops were the most talked about. Buffet Dinner- kale/quinoa, pasta salads, lobster bisque, plenty of sides were just as delicious as the entrees of sea bass (most talked about also), chicken surprisingly, and steak. Our wedding cake was beautifully tall as requested. Service was also amazing, and many of our guests commented how well they were taken care of during cocktail hour, dinner and open bar service. Overall, GVR provides a great wedding experience with their property, food and excellent customer service on the coordination and catering dept. We received many compliments from family, friends, vendors and random hotel guests. Thank you so much GVR for a wonderful experience!

The team at Green Valley Ranch helped make our wedding reception unforgettable! From the very beginning they made things easy and less stressful for us (bride and groom) in our already hectic lives. Hava Busso was our consultant, and she was wonderful to work with. Hava was professional, kind and super helpful when we asked for advise and recommendations. They recommended some photographers, DJ's and florist for us to choose from and the ones we picked did an amazing job. The hotel staff was friendly and very flexible with the room blocks. We had to make several changes and they worked with us every time. Most importantly, our guests loved everything about the hotel and casino. We would highly recommend having your special event at GVR!

Hava and her team provided exceptional service, delicious over-the top excellent food, and helped us navigate difficult decisions during an uncertain time. The venue is beautiful and has all beautiful sites. I used the staircase, the terrace, and the amphitheater. It was outstanding and beautiful. Planning a wedding is hard. Choosing a place with so many packages and options to fit a budget and capacity restrictions makes it easy. Hava and her team are absolute wedding and event unicorns. At every step in the process we were met with the highest level of professionalism, courtesy, and service that absolutely knocked our socks off. We knew at the tasting that our guests were going to feel so special, and we all felt so well taken care of by every single person. Amazing food, amazing service, and to pivot as quickly as they did thanks to some unwelcome wind/rain, the day was an absolute success!!!

Hava and Kiera were both absolutely amazing!! They made the entire process of putting together a destination wedding completely stress-free. The venue is stunning, the food was spectacular and all the vendors they connected us with were all top notch. We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding. We highly recommend GVR!!!!

Hava and her team were amazing! They went over and beyond to make this wedding special. Due to covid we had to have three separate venues and all our guest had nothing but good things to say about the service and the venue. Everyone had a wonderful time. Even though we’re in separate rooms they made it work and fun for everyone. I definitely give them 5 stars. We will be back to visit.

I planned our wedding from across the states and did so with ease with the help of GV's own Hava. She was tentative and let me blab and tell her all my expectations. They were met! I did hire a wedding coordinator for the day of. Save yourself on this easily could of done without. My dream wedding was a hit and everyone had a blast with no mishaps.

We decided on doing our wedding at green valley ranch and we are so glad we did I have nothing to complain about everything was perfect.

Absolutely the most beautiful place and the service and quality was 10 stars!!!!!

They made everything so easy! We were traveling from out of state and the communication level was phenomenal. I did not have to worry about anything going wrong because of the amount of communication and details they covered. When we arrived, I met with those that I was emailing and speaking with face to face and I was completely at ease. They walked us through everything and it all went off without a hitch.

Absolutely, I would recommend GVR to any friend to celebrate their special day here!!! After our wedding, I honestly was sad for it to be over. I wanted to have another wedding day! Love this place. We did an all in one weekend with our kids 1st and 5th birthdays the next day at the pool. We had quite a crowd with our families coming from CA, AZ and TX. They were very impressed with everything. Every team member we encountered made it very enjoyable and fun. We will be back to celebrate other events. Thank you Hava, Jennifer, Kiara and so many other people we encountered. Great JOB!!

My husband and I had our wedding at Green Valley Ranch on the 29/05/19. We are from Australia and were quite nervous as we didn’t see the venue until a few days before the wedding. GVR is absolutely beautiful and the perfect location for a wedding. Hava was fantastic in helping us organize our big day. We could not have asked for a better venue or team, everything was perfect! Could not recommend GVR enough!

Green Valley Ranch did an amazing job throughout the whole weekend! My family loved every minute of it. The pool side cabana was fun! The salon and spa were so sweet and helpful. And most of all Hava made it flow perfectly and kept me informed and calm the whole time. All of the vendors that they recommend were amazing! I heard so many of my friends and family say they would definitely come back there.

I absolutely cannot say enough about how amazing Green Valley Ranch and event coordinator Hava Busso was for our May 2019 wedding! From the first visit, Hava was incredible. We planned our NV wedding from Oklahoma and did everything via e-mail. Hava was always very responsive whenever we had questions or concerns and she was able to take care of everything for us. The day of the wedding was beyond perfect! We had our elopement ceremony on the balcony of their wedding salon and everything was beautiful! GVR is such a stunning hotel and we were so lucky to be able to have our big day there. We toured so many different venues and none held a candle to GVR on anything. For an elopement ceremony we were blown away by everything that we got for the price that we paid. It was also a stunning venue without any of the seedy atmosphere that you get with some of the chapels. And compared to the other major hotels, the price couldn't be beat. I highly recommend GVR!!

Hava Busso, Green Valley Ranch’s Wedding Coordinator is “The Best” she made everything perfect! Our wedding was the most beautiful and personal day I ever could of imagined. There’s not one thing that I asked for that I didn’t get and bonus things to boot! This day will not only be remembered as our “special” day but also for the guests who attended. BEST DAY EVER!

Hava, our wedding coordinator was extremely responsive throughout the months leading to the big day, which we both appreciated. Our wedding was (35 people)and was conducted in the wedding suite of the hotel, which was the perfect size, a beautiful set up and offered a nice balcony overlooking the pool for an after-ceremony cocktail hour. This gave our guests a nice hour to socialize and have drinks while we took photos and greeted everyone. The day was perfect and we were both very happy with the resort, the price, the set-up and the attentiveness of our coordinator Hava. We did not experience any stress and I wish we could do it all over again. Highly recommend!

We were so thrilled and appreciative of the service and quality we experienced when using the Green Valley Ranch Hotel for our son’s wedding! We worked primarily with Hava and she is EXCEPTIONAL!! GVR is simply amazing and makes fairytale dreams come true! The food was out of this world! Hava was my wedding planner and she went above and beyond for me!

We've been patrons of Green Valley Ranch for years - mostly for food, gambling, etc. We love the resort. It's beautiful, well kept, etc. This was a natural first choice for us when determining a wedding venue. The catering manager Hava and her team are incredibly kind, flexible, and just on top of things. If you email, you get a positive and bubbly response right away. If you ask to jump on a call with them they're happy to do so. On the big day itself they just told us what to do and what to expect so we didn't have to worry about anything at all. I was impressed that they created a group text for me and their staff so if we had questions or need at any point we could just text. Man, that was convenient and came in handy several times! The food was delicious and on point, too, but we knew what to expect as we had a menu tasting several months in advance. Do yourself a favor and getting married here - it's worth the price but make sure you work with Hava!

The venue and location were fantastic. Hava Busso was very organized and kept us on track with all the details until the final day. We received many positive comments from our guests on the beautiful location. Food and beverage service was great, servers were wonderful, very friendly and attentive. On the day of the wedding, there was a bit of confusion on coordination after the ceremony was over. No one was available to direct our guests on where to go for the cocktail hour. In addition, we received a few comments from guests that the Filet Mignon was a bit too red for their liking. Overall a very positive experience and would highly recommend for future weddings.

Words cannot describe how appreciative I was of the team at GVR. Everything was easily handled and accommodated with no issues. They made everything extremely easy for me and truly went above and beyond.

Hava made our wedding reception everything we wanted it to be a GVR. Without her, I don’t believe it would have been half as good. We feel so lucky and blessed that she became our contact early in our planning process at GVR. Before we met her, there was a ton of turn over, it was difficult to get calls returned and we weren’t feeling good about the decision we made. We felt comfortable with Hava, she understood our needs, requests, and concerns. We felt like she was on our side throughout the entire process. She went above and beyond by letting me mail things to her, helping set up and putting out any fires that came up. We highly recommend her!! Thank you Hava!!

I cannot say enough about how amazing Hava and the team at Green Valley Ranch was in helping make my wedding vision come true. All of the locations were beautiful. We had our ceremony and cocktail hour in the Garden Amphitheater and the reception in the Estancia ballroom. Both locations were beautiful and Green Valley handled the set up and food/beverage service perfectly. We received very positive feedback from our guests. We couldn't be happier with our experience.

It was wonderful working with Hava from the wedding sales department at Green Balley. Our wedding plans were so last minute. 3 weeks before the event and for 400 people. Hava pulled it off with no surprises but with class, grace and professionalism.

My wedding was amazing here at Green Valley Ranch Resort, Spa and Casino! The grounds were picture perfect. Staff was helpful, efficient and wanted to help make my wedding day wonderful. I highly recommend GVR for your Wedding. We went the slightly non-traditional route. We were married in the luxurious Villa Grand Suites Room at GVR. We arranged thru GVR to add and remove furniture to make the configuration of the room right for us. It was a small and intimate ceremony which was what we wanted. We had the entire event catered by GVR. The Food which we had Southwest Fajitas were excellent as well as a variety of appetizers. We used many amenities that the hotel could offer, besides catering, we also utilized the amazing Green Valley Ranch Salon. I had each woman in my family schedule a salon appointment up to 6 ladies at one time. The Salon was an excellent place for us to get ready for the day. The Stylists at the salon were top notch and did a great job. I couldn't have asked for a better place and service than Green Valley Ranch!

As a 20 year + customer & client (Chairman's Status - 4614205), the entire staff at GVR were extremely helpful AND professional and my wedding to my new wife was enjoyed by over 50 family & friends from over 6 states.....many of who had NEVER been to GRV......but now have a new destination to stay at.....having now experienced such a beautiful setting and service provided. Simply Elegant! The private gardens for the outdoor ceremony were beautiful. The Mediterranean style manicured gardens &the breathtaking mountains couldn't have been more picture perfect. What a romantic & intimate location for our elopement.

Our guests were absolutely blown away by everything at GVR. The hotel itself is incredibly beautiful, from the moment that you drive up.

The ceremony was in the 'Piazza', where the guests watched as I walked down the most beautiful staircase. The reception was outdoors as well in their Ampitheatre space. Both the ceremony and reception spaces were perfect, exactly what we were looking for.....beautiful, green, a little oasis away from the craziness of the Strip.

The food was AMAZING. Can't even remember how many times I heard it was the best wedding food ever. Which was exactly what we wanted!

If you are looking for flexibility (so many of the hotels on the Strip have strict packages that you can't customize, which is why GVR is so amazing), beautiful ceremony/reception spaces, amazing food and a great team....definitely look into GVR.

Millie, the Catering Social Sales Manager at Green Valley ranch, went above and beyond for our daughter's wedding. She not only made sure all our guests were all taken care of, but she found time to answer all my obsessive emails and concerns. She calmed all my fears on every detail. She really made me feel like I was the only client she had to worry about and I knew that was not the case. She never once appeared frazzled , upset or stressed. Her calm demeanor and attention to detail helped keep me composed when at times I felt quite apprehensive. The food came out hot and beautifully served. The fillet you could cut with a fork and the lobster melted in your mouth. The cupcakes were so beautiful you hated to eat them, but did they taste incredible. The chef's at GVR are five-star professionals with a talent that surpassed my expectations. The service was first class as well, the staff was there but we wouldn't have known it. They did a great job making themselves available, but doing so unnoticed. I highly recommend Green Valley Ranch.

Green Valley Ranch was amazing!!! The best place in the world to have an elegant beautiful wedding. The cake was perfect! Just the way the picture I showed them of how I wanted it to be! The planner, was always there whenever I needed her! The food was exquisite! There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about this place. They made may wedding my fairytale wedding!

We loved having our wedding at Green Valley Ranch. The venue is absolutely beautiful. We did our wedding and cocktail hour out by the pool, our reception was inside in their La Cascada banquet room. It was really laid out so well and our guests loved it. Our guests also loved staying at the property. It is such a nice resort and casino without the madness of the Strip, every last one of our guests said they'd rather stay there over the Strip.

The staff that helped with our wedding were tremendous. They all did a great job. A big thank you to Amanda, Kay, Ann and especially Hava. Hava did such a great job with everything from taking us through everything at the beginning, keeping us updated throughout our planning (She is on top of everything and if anything, we were delayed on getting back to her) and especially with the wedding itself, everything was seamless. The staff did a great job during the wedding as well, service was great.

My wedding was originally planned at a strip resort in April of 2020. Covid then shut down the whole world and cancelled my wedding. I’m familiaR with the vegas area, so GVR was one of the resorts I contracted to reschedule my wedding (on relatively short notice). Hava and Kiera were AMAZING! They held my hand through the whole process and were incredibly responsive (a stark contrast from the strip resort). Although only half of our guests attended (because of Covid) the GVR team made the venue feel full and classy. The entire experience was exceptional, and we didn’t have to lift a finger! Hava and Kiera even stayed with us during our wedding day ensure everything was perfect. Planning a rescheduled Covid wedding was not an easy task, but GVR took every step possible to make our wedding perfect! Ditch the strip resorts and contact the GVR team—you can thank me later!

We really enjoyed our wedding at GVR. The rooms for both the ceremony and reception were very nice. Although the wedding salon is smaller than I anticipated. The service was top notch!

Hava was absolutely amazing. We never once felt as if we needed to be overly stressed about any part of the wedding. When he found ourself in harder situations Hava was there not only to fix it but to help us remember it’s about us and only that. We are so lucky and fortunate to have such an amazing women to help us put together one of the most important days of our lives. Halee did my hair and make up for my wedding at a different location. She did an amazing job and made my natural beauty shine through. I was going to a Vintage theme so my make up was very minimal and my hair was very 1920/30s. She was so kind and polite and was easy to talk to. She even redid a portion of my hair that she was not satisfied with! (She also warned me because she was taking apart what she had just done.) Very professional and I would recommend them (specifically Halee) to anyone!!!!!

Green Valley Ranch was the perfect place for me and my husband to get married. The decor is tasteful and warm. All of our guests enjoyed their time there, whether they were just there for the day or had rooms for the weekend. They were receptive to what we wanted and were willing to do whatever it took to make it happen. The food and cake were delicious. I was very nauseated by the time we got to our reception so they packaged up some of the food for me so I could enjoy our wedding meal later when I felt better. The service is great from anyone you encounter at the hotel.

We loved the VIP treatment we received at GVR. Our staff created a seamless event exactly to our specifications. Loved our coordinator and the grounds are breathtaking.

Green Valley Ranch is a beautiful location from the inside to the outside venues! It was great working with Hava, the sales catering manager/ event wedding coordinator. GVR service was great. Even though our wedding was originally cancelled on March 2020 due to covid we had postponed it to the following year March 2021. But due to restrictions in our state we could not have moved forward with planning until our governor had lifted restrictions on February!! So we were panicking with only less than a month to plan. And also changing the venue location to outside instead of the ballroom for better ventilation. We never thought that we would change locations but the Garden Amphitheater was amazing!! The GVR staff did a great job setting up and making our wedding look nice! And the food was so delicious!! We wished we were guests at our own weddings so we had more time to enjoy our food!!!

Hava Busso did an excellent job coordinating the vendors for us and being a go between. She was helpful in indicating what services were included in our wedding package v. extra fees which helped us make key decisions.

Absolutely breathtaking resort!!! It offers many choices for photo-opps...awesome staircase, vineyard, etc. We had a small ceremony so we were able to utilize the wedding salon which has a spectacular view of the Las Vegas skyline. The room was beautifully decorated so we didn't have to add much in the way of decor. Amanda (our event manager) was patient, professional, and accommodating throughout the process, especially for the rehearsal when our Officiant/event director got her schedule mixed up and wasn't in attendance. Because of Amanda I literally had a stress-free wedding day! The only reason I gave 4.6 stars instead of 5.0 was because they were not able to execute my signature drink without it costing more than an open bar for the cocktail hour (800% markup on liquors they don't stock) :-( But other than that they were flawless.

We had our wedding at GVR on October 21st and it was perfect! It was most gorgeous venue. We are from South Dakota so it was a destination wedding and all of our guests said it was the prettiest wedding they had ever been to. the food was AMAZING. Everyone practically licked their plate clean. We had our ceremony on the amphitheater and the reception under the Pool deck area. They said this might be the last wedding that gets to be on the pool deck but we thought it was perfect! Our only complaint was at the beginning, we really struggled with any kind of communication from GVR. A few different people had quit right after I booked my wedding there and it was difficult for people to get back to me in a timely manner. Also, I feel like they try to nickel and dime you here. EVERY little thing was an up charge. So, be careful if you decide to get married here because it ends up being way more expensive than you thought. It was also a really big struggle trying to figure out a room block. We had about 40 rooms we needed for 3 or more days and the rooms were so expensive that weekend for some reason. I complained to someone higher up and then that’s when I felt like I finally got the attention I needed and they decided they would help me with a room block and a better price. I also felt like they missed a prime opportunity make us feel special. My family spent A LOT of money here. We had a 90 person wedding, had about 40 rooms booked for 3 or more days, we had our rehearsal dinner on the property at one of the restaurants and my whole bridal party also went to the spa one of the days and each had a treatment. I feel like they missed an opportunity to make me feel special. They should have done a nice little basket for the wedding night suite, or a gift card to make us want to come back or even a hand written note. I think this would be a nice touch to make the couple feel special after spending so much money here and to know that GVR appreciates their business!

Overall it was a perfect wedding day and absolutely gorgeous

After our other location for the reception fell through, we were able to snag the GVR buffet as our reception location. We were very happy with the food and the area we were placed. It was a huge group, 50 ish, and when things got loud, the manager singled me out (the bride!) to tell me to "get my people in order". That was the only glitch. Ideally huge family gatherings shouldn't happen in an open buffet hall, but otherwise it was lovely!

The venue is meant for wedding! The grand stairs, the greenery and scenery are perfect. Hava did work with me to get the wedding salon and answered my questions quickly. She was there to help my daughter and future son-in-law organized the perfect wedding.
On the negative side, the service during the supper was a little bit slow and I feel a lack of support before the ceremony, especially on the groom's side: it's a nervous time for everybody and someone should have taken control of the situation at least 1/2 hour before the ceremony.

Good morning. Hava Busso was delightful and diligent; we appreciate everything she did to make our wedding and reception at GVR a lovely event. The food was delicious, the DJ (Mo) was accommodating, and our photographer (Jean) was energetic.

We encountered only one rude employee (a worker at the reception). I'd also like to mention Hailey, a member of your maintenance staff, who diligently attempted to get our TV to work (ultimately to no avail). She was prompt, smart, funny, and helpful. Housekeeping was also prompt and effective.

Our only real concern was the age and wear of the furnishings in our suite. We had guests in and out of the suite all weekend, and it was a bit embarrassing that the fabrics on the chairs and sofa were so stained and the marble coffee table was damaged.

First of all, I would like to say our wedding could not have gone better on the actual day. The wedding venue is beautiful and the staff were very professional, and our guests had a great time. The food and drink were both excellent and plentiful. However, the planning and wedding coordinating was extremely stressful, and we feel a lot wiser after having gone through it. The venue is opportunistic and exploitative when it comes to the event contract. For example, when we were asked off-hand at our food tasting how many guests we expected, GVR's representative locked us into an exact number that was the upper limit of what we thought our attendance would be. Then when we had a lower guest count, we still had to pay a minimum amount regardless of our final guest count. This was not made clear at all, and felt like an underhanded way to increase their profit. After we had already signed our contract with GVR, we learned that our wedding guest room block required a 100% occupancy rate, or we the couple would be financially responsible for any no-shows. Usually, establishments have some flexibility with this (eg 80% occupancy). This puts a great financial burden on the couple since plans inevitably change. Finally, we found the on-site wedding coordinators to be less detail oriented than we were comfortable with for such an important event. We felt like we had to follow up multiple times with them for any minor change regarding our event.

They are NOT ready for the sheer volume of weddings that 2022 will bring. Their communication is absolutely TERRIBLE. If you are okay with waiting 1-2 weeks for ANY response or follow up, keep reading. If you are like any other normal human being, you will find that offensive, considering their Food and Beverage minimum is $16,000! What happened to responding within 24 hours, even if it was just a “I got your email and will get back to you soon”. My 3 stars are given because of how amazing the food and drinks were and because of the sheer beauty of the property. Everything else about this process was a disaster. At the end of the day our wedding was perfect (10/16/2021) but it was because of the support of my vendors and family and from my hard work and planning. GVR did absolutely nothing to make my day special.

If you do nothing else, PLEASE only consider this venue if you have a wedding coordinator (with a team of at least 2 people, 3 preferred) AND please use Google Docs to record all meetings/conversations you have with them. Things WILL need to be TRIPLE checked and TRIPLE confirmed. I had numerous phone calls (over 2 hours in length) when NOTHING got recorded. Had I not written them down myself, the changes would not have been made. I am talking about the ceremony layout, menu changes, reception layout and other very important details. GVR is bound to make a mistake and there is no way of knowing how big or small it will be. Ours was the fact they used the completely wrong tablecloth color (even though it was clearly written in our Event Document) and they served dinner later than promised. Also, we were supposed to have Astro lighting during our cocktail hour that never happened.

At the end of the day, location and photography opportunities were our top priority. GVR satisfies and excels in that category. However, I would have greatly re considered our choice if I had only known the immense stress and agony they would create for the next 14 months of my life.

The food was superb and incredible. Strangely, during our tasting (December 2019) we both felt very disappointed with the quality of the food. I do not know if they had a different chef at the time, but on our actual wedding day it was top of the line. Also, the complementary tasting only allows you to taste about 3 salads, 3 appetizers (hot or cold), 3 entrees and 3 cake flavors. So if you try something you do not like, you will not get to try anything else. I am going to include some prices in things we had -since it would have been nice to know myself. We chose the Ahi Nachos, Mozzarella and Tomato Shooters, Mini Sliders for our cocktail hour and the Salmon, Filet and Lobster for our Mains. We added a Sweet Potato and Rosemary Ravioli ($10pp) which was TO DIE FOR.

Because our wedding was so small (60 people), we had to have a lot of add ons and upgrades in order to still reach the minimum. We had a “First Cheers” about 30 minutes before our ceremony started where we had Moscow Mules ($15pp) delivered to the holding room. This was a huge hit because it allowed us to thank the Bridal Party as well as have something to knock off the edge before the ceremony started. They use Fever Tree Ginger Beer which is very very good. I also recommend having some snacks served along with this, because everyone was STARVING by that time and being the Bride and Groom, we had little time to eat all day. We had Late Night Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup Shooters as well as Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies served ($10pp each) to our guests around 9PM at the reception. These are great ways to use remaining funds if you need to reach your minimum.

We had our ceremony location at the Grand Staircase and the reception at the Pool Cafe. Now what they did NOT tell us was that they had TWO other weddings scheduled on our same day. I only found this out because my Makeup team (Makeup in the 702) was booked for another bridal party at GVR on the same day. I found this to be incredibly shady because it made photography and first look planning a nightmare. The only way you can ensure exclusivity is if you rent out ALL venues (meaning we should have also rented out the Garden Amphitheater if we wanted to be certain we could use the space for as many photos as we wanted). While I was able to have my first look in the Garden Amphitheater (priority #1), I could not take bridal party pictures there because the wedding party (they were a ceremony only in the garden amp) wanted to use the space. Such a disappointment. I had asked during our prospective tour if they had more than one event a day and I was assured that they DID NOT. Total blind side. While the second wedding started and ended before mine began, the guests coming for the other wedding made it difficult to take family photos outside.
Also, book your hotel rooms EARLY as prices will SURGE. We booked almost a year in advance. They will give you a complimentary night stay in the Tuscany suite which is BEAUTIFUL and perfect for getting ready (except for only having a small mini fridge). However, the suite was not available until after 4PM (the night before our wedding). ABSOLUTE terrible customer service. This was after me calling at 9AM to request early check in too and calling more than once asking if it could be “rushed” cleaned.

DO NOT let them fool you in the beginning, they will be very responsive and helpful and friendly. Until they get you to sign a contract and have your money.

I am going to try and keep this review on the Knott concise, but will also add additional comments to this Google Doc so you can read everything I went through in order to decide what is best for you.

We started our planning process with Hava -however she resigned part way through our engagement period. I was never informed by anyone other than Katie, after I wrote Hava a follow up in response to an email I sent over 2 weeks prior. Katie means incredibly well and she genuinely cares, her heart is in the right place and she wants GVR to shine. However, she is so busy planning and booking all events (conferences, weddings, concerts, parties) that she cannot possibly oversee and manage the chaos that comes with weddings. We were paired with Marcela, someone who reminded us often of how new she was. New was an understatement; try extremely disorganized, forgetful and worst of all TERRIBLE at communicating. I am talking even the month leading up to our wedding, I still could not get any type of email communication without waiting AT LEAST 7 days. Sometimes it took 2 weeks. There was one instance where I needed the specific table measurements of our head table (we were going to have the bridal party and their plus ones sit with us, so it was big) so that our florist could budget and order the appropriate amount of flowers for our tablescape. I emailed Marcela my concern and need for a prompt reply as the ordering deadline was approaching (mind you, I booked our florist THROUGH GVR and one would think that they would do this and communicate this for me, absolutely not). 4 days went by without a reply (and I sent at least one follow up email). I had my coordinator call and leave messages with no reply on her end. Devastated and at my wits end, my (now) husband decides to call the general GVR hotel line and ask to be transferred to Marcela’s office. She answers RIGHT AWAY. Let that sink in, I was 100% ignored when I needed something resolved TIMELY and had a deadline to meet. She was that easy to get a hold of but chose not to reply to me. That is the COMPLETE opposite of halfway decent customer service. This was 4 weeks before our wedding. I was told they only work on weddings in chronological order and it was necessary that they did not help me until the weddings before mine were completed. However, I was told this ONE MONTH before my wedding. Why would you do that to someone, the expectation and precedent was never set beforehand and I would just cringe every time I would send an e-mail and hope I would get a response at some point. I never received an apology either, even after expressing dissatisfaction. I reached out to Katie and she did not e-mail me back to rectify the situation ( I had to send a follow up in order to get a response after similar behaviors continued). So many times I wanted to go to upper management but I feared they would retaliate against me and it would have a negative impact come wedding day.

Fast Forward to TEN DAY before my wedding, I am still being told they only handle weddings in the order that they are scheduled. EXCUSE ME?!? That is not okay. Especially when they have to send you a 10+ page “Banquet Event Order” highlighting EVERYTHING related to your wedding and you are still waiting for it days out and do not know if they have it accurate or not. The Event Document was NOT accurate. It also holds all of the details regarding how much you owe and what your final bill will be. Please always keep track of what you are charged, because the BEO holds everything.

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony at Green Valley Ranch (GVR) outdoors in the amphitheater in July of 2021. Let me start off by saying, the grounds are absolutely beautiful and the photos turn out STUNNING. Unfortunately, my husband and I did not have a great experience having our ceremony there. In the beginning when we were inquiring about GVR, Hava (our wedding ceremony coordinator) was super helpful and answered questions promptly. Once we put a deposit down it was a complete 180. One thing I would like to acknowledge and that I am very grateful for was that Hava let us borrow their gold ceremony arch free of charge. Disappointingly, nothing else seemed to go our way. Everything that you could imagine going wrong during a wedding ceremony actually did. I’ll list some bullet points of what went wrong and if you’d like to read further you will see a detailed explanation for each in the link provided below. Unfortunately I cannot add everything I want to say on here due to character limitation.

1. Unaware that the amphitheater location at GVR does not have an option for the bride to walk down the aisle
2. One of your guests must press play for the music during your ceremony
3. Wedding coordinator does not know which dongle/adapter she has for certain devices to play ceremony music on so ask to see the dongle/adapter beforehand
4. Wedding guests were led to the wrong ceremony site—MOB had to direct guests to correct location
5. Microphones were not on during ceremony

Pre wedding the service is fantastic! They work with you and are very responsive. However, the wedding day was absolutely horrible. I had a water leak in the “dress room”, dress room didn’t have a mirror (I asked multiple times for one and only received one small Mirror...completely unacceptable). Some food was cold at reception(including mine the bride!) and it didn’t taste as good as it did at the tasting. The wait staff was horrible! They would attempt to take the plate as I was in the middle of eating (worst wait staff I have ever experienced). My cake had the completely wrong initials on it. They claimed to not know how to dim lights for the dancing at the reception. I can go on and on. Don’t get fooled like I did because when it matters the most they completely miss the ball!
