Artistic and lovely

I worked with Amy, one of the floral designers at Green Designs, and the owner Jan. My experience was wonderful overall and I highly recommend Green Designs. The consultation process was supportive and informative, and although I was admittedly a bit vague in what I wanted, Amy was able to work with the inspo picture I provided her and my explanations of what colors and look I wanted, and why. She created an absolutely gorgeous bouquet for me that literally reduced me to tears when I saw it. I had asked for some floral pieces for the reception and these were just as beautiful, so lush and richly colorful. My mom had very specific requests for her corsage, which was a different vibe from my bouquet, and Amy made that perfectly too! A wonderful experience overall.

Absolutely wonderful and easy!

Green Designs was a fabulous floral company to work with! Jan and Leanne created gorgeous bouquets, boutonnieres and flower displays for my wedding. I joke that I don't know flowers, but they created designs that were exactly what I imagined! And the best part is that our fabulous planner (Kirby with A Little Party) repurposed the flowers to be donated to a Lynchburg vet hospital dear to our heart. Would definitely recommend Green Designs!

Exactly what I Envisioned

I know nothing about flowers! I had this idea in my head of what I wanted the flowers to look like! Jan brought what I had pictured to life! She knows exactly what she's doing and she is so kind and helpful, and that was important to me when searching for a florist!

Wedding Flowers

We contracted with Green Designs for our October Wedding. When we first met with Jan we had a very vague idea of what we wanted. She was able to take what little we gave her and created stunning center pieces and bouquets! Jan and the staff were very responsive and professional throughout the entire process. We will be using them for all of our floral needs.

Absolutely breathtaking!

Jan was able to fit my rustic bohemian theme together to create wonderful masterpieces. My flower crown was a huge hit. She worked within my very tight budget and was able to create the pieces promptly! Even with the crazy weather we were having! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a great florist. Truly one of a kind. Loved the cats too!

Fantastic Service!

Jan and the staff at Green Designs were excellent! Jan was super helpful about helping us decide what flowers and arrangements we wanted to be part of our wedding. She was very knowlwedgable about our venue and knew what would look best. She and her staff came and did the flower set up for us, which was super helpful. I'm so glad we chose Green Designs to be part of our special day!

Beautiful arrangements, excellent service!

Jan was great to work with for our December 1st wedding. I really appreciated how she was always available if I had a question or a change. The arrangements turned out beautifully, and it was such a great value. I had a limited budget, but Jan very easily worked with me and I didn't feel like we had to "skimp" on anything. Other florists I spoke with were not as flexible or understanding. Our ceremony and reception were even in two different places, 45 minutes apart, and it was not a problem for Jan. Would definitely recommend!

Flowers were better than I could picture.

When I met with Jan I immediately get at ease with the whole process. She helped me pick out flowers and understood exactly what I want. Meeting with her was the first time in the wedding planning process where I didn’t feel like she was trying to run up my total. She was looking out for our wedding and gave advice on how to get our vision. I would recommend this florist to everyone. She made our day perfect.

Green Designs is THE BEST! They did our flowers for our wedding two months ago and we could not have asked for a more perfect job! Jan helped me pick the best flowers and colors for our wedding and was flexible on what options we had. Our questions were always answered promptly and with the utmost professionalism and kindness. Jan and her team were an absolute pleasure to work with! From day one, Jan was invested in making our dream a reality. She truly wanted to understand our vision for our wedding flowers, and she made a point get to know me and my soon-to-be husband while doing it. My husband and I were planning a long-distance wedding (to be held in Roanoke, VA), and she bent over backward to meet us when it was convenient for our schedule, email, and chat by phone leading up to the big day. She has an amazing eye for the right colors and combination of flowers. She made tons of suggestions, all of which resulted in the most beautiful collection of bouquets, boutonnieres, table arrangements, and floral accents on our wedding day. Her team was meticulous in preparing the arrangements and took extra time to make sure everything was placed in the correct locations on the day-of. Jan and her team's passion for what they do was obvious in the quality of their work. I cannot say enough - the flowers, greenery runners, and attention-to-detail was incredible! Would highly recommend Green Designs again and again. Wonderful team, beautiful flowers!! Thank you for making this such a memorable experience - you really are the best!

Jan and her staff are absolutely amazing!! I am 2 hours away from Roanoke and took a shot in the dark on picking a florist within the Roanoke area. I loved every second of working with Jan! I know absolutely nothing about flowers and she made it so, so easy to figure out exactly what I wanted. She was so responsive to emails and flexible with meet-ups. We ended up with exactly what we wanted and she came in and set up everything on our wedding day with no issues at all. I had talked to several different florists before visiting Green Designs. Jan was very professional, and very reasonably priced. And as an educator, price is a concern. I showed her ideas that my daughter liked on Pinterest and she used those ideas, along with my daughter's color and flower preferences, to create gorgeous bouquets and arrangements. She delivered floral items to both our rehearsal dinner and wedding and set everything up beautifully. I would recommend Jan and Green Designs to anyone needing a florist in the Roanoke, VA area.

My husband and I hired Jan Hendrickson at Green Designs to handle all things floral for our wedding. We truly could not have been happier with her service and with the beautiful decor she created for our ceremony and reception. Her floral work was amazing...from the gorgeous bouquets to the flower arches that were perfectly placed over the ceremony site, it was perfection. Jan was easy to work with; she was always available to meet in person, by email, or on the phone. During our first conversation, she was thorough in her details and asked all the right questions - it's like she already knew what I wanted! I showed her some pictures and she took it from there, greatly exceeding my expectations and vision for the wedding day flowers. All at a completely reasonable price.

On our wedding day, a hurricane decided to come through town so we had a torrential downpour for the entire day. Our wedding was planned for outdoors, but everything moved inside last minute. Jan and her crew quickly adjusted and made everything in the reception hall gorgeous. She even took extra time and made the bouquets and other floral arrangements even fuller than usual (at no additional charge) to try and make up for mother nature's visit on our wedding day. One of my favorite parts, the flower boxes (centerpieces for the tables), were honestly better than I could have imagined and greatly exceeded my expectations. Green Designs was so wonderful to work with and we are so grateful of all of their hard work in making our wedding day the best ever. I would absolutely recommend Green Designs to any bride!

Jan was extremely helpful and flexible. We had to change some things around throughout the time that we worked together, and Jan was very understanding. She made sure to meet my needs, but also give suggestions regarding her professional opinion and expertise. The flowers were all beautifully arranged. We had bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and three vases on each dining table. Jan did a wonderful job and listened carefully to what I wanted. There is nothing bad to say at all- she is great at what she does and helped to make my wedding beautiful!!!!!!

I loved working with Jan! She is an amazing florist and was very helpful in planning our arrangements - suggesting ideas, resources and flowers that would be in season. Her flowers stayed fresh and vibrant all day, and leading up to our wedding she was quick to respond to emails and her flexible schedule allowed us to meet when it was convenient for us.

I would definitely recommend Green Designs. Jan is exactly the kind of person you want to work with on any big event - responsive, positive can-do attitude, but also laid back in a way that took the edge off planning our wedding.

I contacted Green Designs with very little lead time to help with the flowers for our sons wedding. Not only did Jan say she would help but she did the most awesome job on the flowers she provided for the rehearsal dinner, wedding party, and reception. Way beyond anything we could have imagined. I don't even know where to begin!! LOVE LOVE LOVE all that Jan and her team did for my big special day! I had a list of Pinterest pictures showing exactly what I wanted. They went above and beyond any expectations I may have had!! In showing her what I wanted she also got to know what my theme was, my colors, etc and incorporated all of that into my beautiful bouquet. The flowers were gorgeous! They were fresh, colorful, vibrant, quite simply put....the cream of the crop. Not to mention, so very reasonable. Budget can be a big thing to couples however Jan was able to meet all I wanted and STILL stay within what we were comfortable with. I think these ladies are highly professional, reasonable....simply put....they know what they are doing!!! I will continue to recommend Jan and her company any chance I get!!

Our wedding theme was "Classic, Classy, and Comfortable". We did sunflowers with greenery and baby's breath with black and white damask. Jan Hendrickson from Green Designs LLC in Roanoke helped us come up with simple centerpieces of either sunflower bunches, or greenery and baby's breath floating in water sitting on mirrors surrounded by candles. It was an effective and beautiful visual... and less than $10 per centerpiece! She also made our fishing boutineer vison come to life by incorporating fishing lures on all of the guy's flowers. Everything she did was beautiful, fresh, and affordable!

Jan was absolutely wonderful to work with for your wedding. She is an excellent communicator and will stick to your budget. We meet at least once to go over the ideas I had for my wedding and she made wonderful alternative recommendations for flowers that weren't as expensive since I had a tight budget. Jan was one of the best communicators I worked with for the wedding as she always kept me in the loop on the flower arrangements (flower options, colors, status updates, ect) and also sent me a "teaser" photos for my bouquets.

Jan is very professional and gave me exactly what I wanted for my special day. She has great ideas for various venues and gives her honest opinion about deliverables. My wedding was at SML outdoors with reception indoors. She furnished both settings with arrangements and decor. I couldn't have been more pleased.

Green Designs is great! My daughter and I were delighted with the table arrangements and all the wedding party flowers. The bride's bouquet was so beautiful and fit my daughter's personality perfectly! I loved my wrist corsage with the special bracelets of beads used. Jan listened carefully to all our many thoughts and ideas and pulled together exactly what we were hoping for! She was wonderful to work with and very flexible with our time constraints for meeting. I highly recommend Green Designs for any floral decor - Jan's imagination knows no bounds!

We were beyond pleased with the service that Jan provided for my son's wedding. Fran was great to work with and took the time to listen to the bride and make great suggestions on which flowers were in season that would go with her color scheme. Her suggestions kept the price reasonable and were just perfect. Fran's table arrangements, bouquets, flower girls' halos, corsages, and boutonnières were very creative and we received many positive comments from our guests . Fran went above and beyond just creating a beautiful setting . She recommended the perfect wedding director for the rehearsal dinner and wedding and even found volunteered to iron the seat covers before the reception . Would recommend her services without hesitation.

Jan was great to work with. After an initial meeting when we discussed my likes and dislikes, Jan worked with me to pick out exactly the right flowers for my wedding. She was very creative with her designs, and she kept within the style we had discussed. Everything turned out beautifully and I couldn't have been happier with the result! She is also very considerate of cost, and works well within a budget, giving you the most "bang" for your buck.

Jan did our flowers for our wedding in late October. Everything was so easy, our first meeting I looked through magazines and picked out flowers I liked. I told her what colors I wanted and went from there. She even used fake flowers we bought and added to them to create decorations for the ceremony. Everything looked beyond amazing and I couldn't have asked for anything more. Everyone loved my flowers because they were so bold and so fresh. Jan was very easy to work with as I had last minute changes to deal with in the wedding and she accommodated so. I would suggest her to anyone needing wonderful flowers at a great price!

I recently got married and we used Green Designs for our flowers. Jan was very detail oriented, making sure to really write down EVERYTHING that I wanted, and even offered up suggestions for flowers that might give me the look I was trying to accomplish. Jan invited me to come to the shop to watch them put my bouquet together specifically, but also the other flowers in our order, as well. It was very helpful and nerve-settling to me to be able to have input in the creation process of the flowers for my special day. This definitely alleviated a lot of my stress. They were all very good at showing me different options of where to place certain flowers to achieve a certain look, etc.. It was a fun day spent with these ladies, and I really appreciate their hard, and beautiful work!

I attended a wedding a few weeks ago where Jan was the florist. Not only were the flower arrangements stunning but Jan was so delightful and wonderful to work with. I arrived early, as my husband was in the wedding and offered a helping hand to Jan who was setting up the room. We had a fun time chatting and I learned a lot about her style of work and impressive portfolio. For this particular wedding, the flowers were bright and beautiful and Jan hand crafted the most gorgeous, unique boutineer's using a decorative fishing hook ornaments. They wee so unique and so striking! I enjoyed meeting Jan and would definitely recommend her.

We used Green Design for our wedding flowers. The flowers looked fresh and lovely, just some of the stems broke easily so perhaps more wrapping to hold the bouquets together. I didnt know much about flowers and Jan was very helpful in helping to guide me for flowers that would fit my theme.

Jan did a great job with my flowers. She made beautiful rainbow effect using roses (white, cream, light pink, darker pink, red) for my bouquet and my bridesmaids. She even made a "throw away" one for free! She also made boutineers for the men that were various colors of the roses in the bouquets. She did an excellent job decorating the church in ferns so the focus was on the flowers.

While it was hard to get the meeting (she forgot about us!) the end solution was great. very efficient and she knows what she is doing - quick to offer her opinion and suggestions based on what you are looking for. Also, very affordable. She was in and out on the day-of. Didn't even see her! When the flowers didn't look quite right based on what we had planned she called and quickly suggested something different and the result was great.

Jan and Green Designs did the flowers for our wedding and reception and she did an excellent job! There was a minor mixup the day of the wedding, but Jan was quick to suggest an alternative and even refunded for the items that weren't used. We were so happy with the results and everything looked beautiful.
