I am thrilled that the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden hosted our COVID-aware ceremony. Their walk-in wedding option in the Conservatory was perfect for the size and scope of our gathering. The setting is unbelievable, and in the middle of winter, the warm, open-air dome made for memorable photos. The Events staff was fantastic throughout the process in responding to our needs and allowing for some personal touches - shout-out to Brenna! We could not be happier with how everything turned out.

This is the perfect place to have a wedding! We had our ceremony in the conservatory and our reception in the combined DuPont East and West rooms. I remember getting ready to walk down the aisle, and I could not believe how beautiful it was. Our guests could also not stop talking about how stunning the venue was. I would recommend this venue to everyone!

Everything was fabulous! We had a morning ceremony (at a church) with a brunch reception and they were so accommodating! They let us in early to set up since they hadn't been booked the night before so we didn't have to stress in the morning. Jen was a dream to work with and made everything as simple as possible for us. It was lovely and I'd definitely recommend having your reception here!

We rented the outdoor water garden space (where we had the ceremony) and Trellis restaurant (where we had the reception) for a small group of around 30 people. We couldn't have been happier with our experience. The staff were very easy to work with and were very accommodating. The setting was beyond beautiful and the food was amazing and was a huge crowd pleaser. Everyone who worked there went out of their way to make us feel special and to help us create the perfect day. Michelle and Jen from the Botanical Garden and Jake from Trellis are the best!!!

My husband and I had the most amazing wedding here. Everything could not have gone any smoother. I highly recommend working with Chase. He is amazing. Loved him. Super fast responses to emails and questions. He is patient and super helpful. He helped me maintain my sanity, haha. Our catered food turned out amazing. Our guests loved the venue. We had our ceremony and dinner in the dome and the botanical center crew had to flip the ceremony chairs around and add tables immediately following the ceremony and that worked seamlessly. They were so fast. We used the dupont room and had a dance floor and tables in there. It was so fun and the view of downtown at night is breathtaking through all of the floor to ceiling windows. They let us in early to decorate which was so nice and I also was able to reserve a lovely side room for makeup and getting ready. Everything was so seamless and perfect. I was so happy with how things turned out. This is a truly beautiful venue. The plants are amazing and so is the view of downtown. It was so nice to be inside out of the elements but still get to take advantage of all the pretty plants and flowers in the dome.

We considered around 10 different event venues for our wedding in the DSM area. When we viewed the Botanical Garden as an option, we immediately felt it was the most beautiful overall setting! Our event coordinator was Chase Clausen and he was extremely professional, helpful, and provided the best experience possible for us. The ceremony setting was perfect and the Dupont Room was the absolute perfect space for the reception. We highly recommend you at least take a tour - once you do - we are certain you will be as excited as we were about hosting our special wedding day here! Ask for Chase! - he is always very willing to help you and answer every single question you have!

I had a simple and beautiful wedding at the Botanical Gardens. Our pictures turned out fantastic because of the great gardens.

Everything about this location was exceptional! It was a beautiful site, very friendly staff and easy to work with. There were absolutely no issues whatsoever with this venue. They were very organized and were very helpful in all of the process of planning. I would DEFINITELY recommend this venue to any couple!

Jen and Michelle and all the staff were very professional and helpful with my walk-in wedding ($350 for 15 minute standing ceremony with 20 people max) and we had an hour total for family pictures etc. Very intimate and personal - just what I wanted! (Ceremony only - reception was held elsewhere)

We had the most beautiful wedding at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden. We worked closely with Chase and he helped us to figure out a room assignment and was available when we needed him! He was present and available for all of our wedding. The a/c wasn't working the night of the reception but despite the heat we had a wonderful time.

We absolutely loved the Botanical gardens. It was beautiful for the ceremony within the dome, and the reception room was wonderful. Everyone was easy to work with, but not always available. They were under renovation, so that's understandable. They took care of everything the day of the event, and everything went well...and stress free.

Beautiful venue for our reception and ceremony. The people there were wonderful to work with and were very accommodating. The price was on the high side of our budget and we still had to share the outside gardens with the public until closing time, but everyone had a wonderful time. Also, they limited our choices of food vendors to three different businesses, which is why the flexibility rating is lower. However, this was helpful as both the vendor and venue had prior experiences to working together and made the process smoother.

The Botanical Center was a little expensive but it was a beautiful place for a ceremony and there were so many great places to take pictures both inside and in the dome!

My ceremony and reception were beautiful at the Des Moines Botanical Center. The staff was wonderful but a bit difficult to get a hold of at times. The only drawback that I would comment on is that catering had to be done in house, but the catering manager was willing to adjust the menu and we were allowed to bring in our own dessert and wedding cake. The venue runs on the expensive side but my guests really, really enjoyed it and the reception space is fabulous.
